Kurt woke up the next morning smiling and rolled over to face his husband. But he wasn’t there, his heart sank, he knew it was too good to be true, it was just a dream. He cuddled Blaine’s pillow and sobbed.

Blaine was in the kitchen when he heard him sobbing. He walked into the room and saw him cuddling his pillow. His heart broke thinking “Oh god…he thinks it was just a dream.”

He walked over to Kurt and said “Kurt.”

Kurt looked over. “Hmm.” Kurt’s eyes widened when he saw Blaine and started to cry even Harder. “B-Blaine.”

He quickly took his husband in his arms. “Shh, it’s okay baby, I’m here.”

“I-I t-thought it was j-ju-just a d-dr-dre-am.”

He held him close. “Shh, no it wasn’t a dream. I’m home now. I’m not leaving again. I promise.”

Kurt looked at him, still crying. “W-where w-were you?”

He kissed his forehead “I was making you breakfast. I’m sorry, I didn’t know you’d end up freaking out without me next to you.”

Kurt cuddled closer into Blaine’s embrace clutching his shirt. “I-I love you so much.”

“I love you too Kurt.” He pulled Kurt into a kiss.

After a few moments they got out of bed and went into the kitchen so Blaine could finish making him breakfast. “So, besides the little heart attack earlier, how are you feeling today?”

Kurt looked at him “Weird actually…”

He looked up “What? Do we need to go to the hospital ? I’ll go start the ca-“

Kurt chuckled “Babe, calm down. Not that weird.”

He breathed a sigh of relief. “Oh, okay then elaborate?”

Kurt sighed “As I told you in the letters, I’ve been sick with this pregnancy. I would wake up in the morning and get sick, and get sick a few times during the day.”

He nodded as he continued to stir the pancake mix.

“It’s weird because I’m feeling the best I’ve felt since I got pregnant.”

He looked at Kurt “Wait…you don’t think it’s because we had sex last night do you?”

Kurt shrugged “I don’t know…it could be. Or it could be because I’ve done nothing but worry about you and miss you that now that you’re back, there’s…there’s nothing to worry about.”

He poured the last bit of batter on the pan and looked at Kurt, he has tears rolling down his cheeks. He wrapped his arms around his husband “Hey…it’s okay.”

He kissed his forehead “I’m here now…I’m not going anywhere.”

Kurt looked at him. “Promise?”

He nodded “I promise. I want to be here to see you every day, and see our child grow up. I’m done leaving you for months at a time, I miss you too much.”

Kurt wiped the tears from his husbands brown eyes, “I missed you too... we missed you…more than you’ll ever know. I love you Blaine Anderson.”

He smiled “And I love you.”

They kissed softly and Blaine went to finish making breakfast while Kurt took a shower. By the time Kurt came out the pancakes were all ready and waiting on the table along with Kurt’s decaf coffee.

Kurt smiled “This looks great babe.”

He smiled “Thanks…I’m glad you like it. So, what time is your appointment again?”

“Oh, at 11:30.” Kurt smiled “Babe, give me your hand.”

He looked at him curiously “What why?”

“Just do it!”

He gave his husband his hand and Kurt placed it on his stomach.

“Do you feel that?”

He shook his head “No…”

Kurt moved his hand a bit and asked him again.

He looked at his husband “Oh my god…”

“You feel that?”

He nodded “Yeah…” For the first time, he felt his baby kick. He looked at Kurt with tears in his eyes.“Oh my god…that’s amazing. I love you.”

“I know. I love you too.”

He kissed his husband’s stomach causing Kurt to laugh.

“You’re such a dork.”

He smiled at him. “Hey can I talk to you about the sonogram?”

Kurt nodded “Yeah of course.”

He sighed “I- I’m not so sure I want to find out the sex of the baby.”

Kurt looked at him curiously “Oh, why not?”

He smiled “Well, we don’t really have that many surprises in life, if we do they’re bad ones…”

“Unless you count the surprise I got from you yesterday…”

He chuckled and shook his head and put a hand on Kurt’s stomach “Anyway, this is the best surprise we’ll get.”

“You’re right…Yeah…” Kurt put his hand ontop of Blaines and kissed him softly.

He looked at the clock, it was 10:15. “We should get going…”

“Yeah, we should.”

He put their dishes in the dishwasher and left the house. Blaine drove to the doctors.
Once they got there Blaine checked them in and they sat down and waited for the doctor.

“Anderson.”

They got up and followed the nurse to the room. She smiled at them “Doctor Carter will be here in a few minutes.”

He nodded “Thank you.”

She nodded and left the room.

Kurt looked at Blaine, he looked a little off…”Hey, are you okay?”

He nodded “Yeah, I’m fine.”

“You sure? You look a little pale…are you nervous or something?”

He shook his head chuckling “No, not really, excited mostly.”

Kurt grabbed his hand “Me too. I love you.”

“I love you too.”

A few minutes later the doctor came in, she was somewhat short, with ginger hair. “Hello Kurt, how are you feeling?”

Kurt smiled ear to ear. “I am doing fantastic, my husband came home from Afghanistan yesterday.”

He smiled and held his hand out to the nurse. “Blaine Anderson.”

She shook it smiling “Nice to meet you! Happy to see you’re home safe!”

“Thank you ma’am.”

She sighed “So, Kurt, have you been feeling any back pains? Cramping?”

He shook his head “No, the Braxton hicks have stopped”

“When did that happen?”

“Actually, it happened yesterday, after…”Kurt blushed. “Yeahh…”

She smiled “Well, as I told you before it’s safe for you to have sex with Blaine.”

Kurt nodded “Yeah, it stopped after that happened.”

“Well, why don’t we take a look and see what’s going on. Do you want to do the 3D Image?”

They nodded “Yeah we do!”

She nodded and put the gel on Kurt’s stomach “We’ll just do the regular sonogram first.”

They nodded Blaine’s eyes were glued to the screen.

He gasped as he saw their baby for the first time. Kurt took his hand as he saw his husband’s reaction. “Kurt, Oh my god!”

“Beautiful isn’t it?”

He nodded “Yeah. Oh my god!”

She smiled “Well let’s see the heart beat.” She clicked on a button and they heard the steady beat of their baby’s heart

Once he heard the baby’s heart beat, Blaine lost it and broke down. Kurt smiled grasping his hand. “That was my first reaction too.”

Blaine kissed Kurt’s head “I can’t believe this…”

Doctor Carter smiled “Well, the baby’s heartbeat is strong, and the baby’s lungs are pretty much developed and the baby is in position which is great.”

They nodded that was good to hear. “Let’s switch to the 3D, did you want to know the sex?”

They shook their heads as he said “No, we want to be surprised.”

She nodded and switched the screen. Kurt and Blaine looked at each other. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

She sighed “Well, here’s the head.” She pointed to the screen, the baby was beautiful and had a full head of hair, with Kurt’s nose and Blaine’s lips.

They both started to cry, the had never seen anything so beautiful in their lives. Their baby was perfect in every way shape and form. She showed them the babies hands and little feet.

She gave them pictures and the dvd of their ultrasound and sent them on their way. They ran a few errands and went home and just cuddled on the couch and watched T.V. until their dinner arrived. They really weren’t in the mood to cook anything.

Blaine sighed “You know, we should start thinking about baby names…”

‘Yeah, I actually have a name in mind for a girl…”

He looked at Kurt “Me too.”

”You can go first.”

He smiled “Well, I’ve always liked the name Sarah, Sarah Marie Anderson.”

“That’s cute…”

He nudged him “What about you?”

“Well, I like the name…Harmony.”

He looked at his husband wide-eyed “H-harmony? Like after my grandmother?”

Kurt nodded “Yeah, she was a huge influence on you, and me too. I love that woman…I miss her too.”

He looked at Kurt. “Harmony….Harmony Elizabeth Anderson.”

“After my mom?”

He nodded ‘Yeah, what do you think?”

“Harmony Elizabeth Anderson….” Kurt took his hand. “I love it.”

He kissed him softly “What about for a boy?”

“Well, I like Aaron…”

He smiled broadly, “I love that name!”

“That was easy, but what about a middle name?”

He thought for a moment. “Aaron…Aaron Christopher Anderson.”

Kurt smiled “I like that!” He placed his hand on his stomach “So, Harmony Elizabeth, or Aaron Christopher?”

He nodded “Yeah.”

“I love you.”

“I love you too.” Kurt laid his head on his shoulder.

“Hey Blaine?”

He looked at him “Yes?”

“We’re going to be a family…”

It was then it hit him, they were going to be parents…and damn good ones at that. “I love you so much.” He kissed Kurt softly and wrapped his arms around him.

“You’re quiet…Are you tired?”

He smiled “A little bit…do you want to go to bed?”
“Sure.”

They got up and Kurt putting his hand on his back. “Ow.”

He looked at him. “Are you okay?”

Kurt nodded “Yeah I’m okay, my back just hurts is all.”

He looked at him questioningly “You sure?”

“Yes Blaine, I’m sure, I was just on my feet a lot today that’s all.”

He sighed “Alright…Let’s just go to bed.”

They got into their pajamas and Kurt snuggled into Blaine’s embrace “I love you.”

“I love you too Kurt.” He kissed him softly and fell asleep.

Blaine woke up during the night to Kurt shaking him. “B-Blaine.”

“Hmmm, what is it?”

“I- I don’t know!”

he looked at his husband, he was clearly distressed. “Kurt, sweetheart, what’s going on?”

“I don’t know, I’m jus-“ Kurt couldn’t finish his sentence and flew into the bathroom in their room.

Blaine sighed and turned to get up but he felt something wet and couldn’t see a damn thing and went to go check on Kurt. He opened the door, and saw Kurt on the ground sobbing.

“Oh my god, Kurt what’s the matter?”

“I-I don’t know!”

“Shh, I’m here it’s okay.”

“Can-Can you bring me back to bed?”

He nodded “Of course!” He lifted up Kurt and brought him back to bed and he immediately snuggled into his embrace.

They quickly fell asleep.

“Blaine…Blaine!”

He turned over and saw Kurt, with tears in his eyes and his hand on his stomach.
