"Kurt? Aren't you planning on eating?" Someone asked from a far end of the table.
Kurt shook his head slightly.
"And why not?" The king asked.
"Not hungry," Kurt responded raising a spoon with a couple of green peas to Maria's mouth. She ate them welcoming, her eyes beaming with excitement as her mouth moved up and down and she hummed to herself.
"How can you not be?" The female beside Kurt asked, "You got drank from 2 days ago," "He's just being paranoid." Blaine added.
"I hope you choke on that fork," Kurt mumbled, but apparently it was louder than intended as persons around him laughed.
"Wait? Two days ago?!" Kurt said after noting what the female had said. Kurt looked at Blaine expecting some sort of explanation.
"Oh sorry, did I not mention that," was all he said.
Kurt refused the growing need to smash a plate against Blaine thick skull.
"Asshole," Kurt growled.
Kurt heard a snicker and looked at Brittany smiling, she understood him. Kurt smiled.
Kurt is not sure how much longer he had stayed down there, but he was barely strong enough to go back to his room. The masses had left, all besides the King and queen two males, a female, Brittany and Blaine (sadly).
Kurt announced his leaving and began climbing the steps with a sleeping Maria in his arms. Brittany insisted on following Kurt and carrying Maria for him. Kurt thanked her and handed Maria over. Kurt told her to go ahead, that he knew his way and he will be there soon. All lies. Brittany left and Kurt had managed to go up a good amount of stairs when his body started getting weaker and weaker. Kurt head started spinning and he immediately regret not eating dinner earlier. Kurt knees were trembling and everything around him started to appear fuzzy. Kurt gripped the hand rail and felt a pair of hands on his waist, Kurt looked up and saw Blaine staring down at him intently.
"Let me go you monster," Kurt snapped. Kurt could've almost seen him smile before his body completely shut down. And for the third time everything went black.

Kurt woke up the next the morning feeling exhausted he knew a challenge faced him, at least for the next 5 months before he could leave this hell hole and try to regulate his life.
Kurt sighed and looked to his right where Maria was still sleeping. Kurt smiled to himself and kissed her cheeks softly before scanning the room, everything was in the same order that he had seen it yesterday. Kurt sighed then rubbed his face with his hands and looked at the digital clock beside him which read 8:15 and wondered how his life could change so drastically within 3 days! Just weeks ago Kurt was begging to be free of his aunt Emma's and now that he was he don't want to be here. God's really mysterious isn't he?
Ever since Kurt parents died he had been independent, not needing anyone else, but his aunt Emma Pillsbury thought otherwise forcing Kurt under her will. They, Maria and Kurt, lived with Aunt Emma and her bulky red-head, freckle faced, chain-smoking boyfriend, Will Shuester, and at first Kurt tried being optimistic, but that idea was completely obliterated when he came home from school one day to hear Maria's screaming from the opposite side of the door. Kurt rushed in and saw Maria wailing in her high chair shirtless! Kurt ran over to her and took her up hushing her and rocking her body from side to side, Mr.Shuester then came in with a beer in hand and a lighted cigar in the other, not even bothered by Maria's high-pitched screams.
"Didn't you hear her?" Kurt asked as Maria quieted down. Mr.Shuester shrugged and threw his now empty beer can in the heaping garbage bin raging through the fridge for another. Kurt looked at him astounded and stupefied.
"Why doesn't she have on a shirt?" Kurt then asked.
"Because she was sweating, it's hot outside you know," He was obviously drunk Kurt could've smelt it in his breath.
"Hot?" Kurt began, "It's 48 degrees outside!!"
"Really? Then you've gotta bring her to the doctor's or something," he said as he dragged in this cigarette and blew out a puff around his head. "Well the dishes aren't going to do themselves," he then said.
"I know that and neither am I, I've got homew-"
He gripped Kurt arm and squeezed it tightly staring in his eyes with his baggy red ones.
He was obviously high and drunk and Kurt wasn't going to put up with it. Kurt pulled away from Mr.Shuester grasp and bent down to pick up his backpack, Kurt could still feel his stares on him but ignored them as Kurt climbed the stairs to his-so called- room. It was once the storage room but they 'renovated' it to suit Kurt- placed a miniature bed to the corner and pushed everything else to the left.
Later that night while bathing Maria Kurt noticed some red marks on her back, he touched them and she winced. Kurt observed them closer and noticed they were burn marks, little circular burn marks. Kurt thought back and in his head all he saw was that gruesome tired face, the one with the baggy red eyes and rancid breath stained with beer. Kurt dressed Maria and rushed downstairs just seconds later and showed his aunt the evidence, Kurt told her what he thought and saw when he came home this evening showing her the beer can and some cigarettes that were just meters away from the bin. But none of this was enough as Kurt aunt never believed him claiming 'Maria just has an allergic reaction or something like that nothing to worry yourself over! Plus how dare you accuse my boyfriend for such iniquity! He's been nothing but nice to you ever since you came' Kurt was agape. His jaw literally hit the floor.
Kurt couldn't believe how selfish and inconsiderate she was being, she's mistaking burn marks for allergic reactions?! Kurt looked at Mr.Shuester in the corner who was smirking his ass off and became furious.
"Nice?! He burnt my baby sister, grips my hand so hard sometimes I think he's going to break it, he's a chain smoker and alcoholic who does nothing but eat all your food and drink all your beers while giving me dirty looks and you call that nice?!"
Kurt was shocked at what he had said but not as much as his aunt, later that night she kicked Kurt out
"Help us finish all the money my parents left in their will?" Kurt said before packing all his stuff and leaving.
Since then Kurt was his own men, living in a motel with Maria, working 3 after school jobs, to pay the rent and sent Maria to a daycare in the days. He worked so hard! And now it's all nothing! He was stuck in a house filled with vampires, he was going to die before these 5 months surpassed and Maria is never going to know the story of her parents or her brother, she's going to be put into the hands of retarded Aunt Emma and the abusive red-head-freckle-faced asshole known as a boyfriend, where she'd be burnt continually every night all because Kurt have failed as an older brother.
Kurt looked over at her, tears welling up in his eyes, "I'm sorry," Kurt whispered before kissing Maria cheek, a tear trailing down his face. Kurt cried quietly to himself right there, hoping to just vanish, to go somewhere where he could be free from all this agonizing pain, from all these life-changing decisions, somewhere where he could just be left alone to willow and die all by himself, no one else around. Just him, first abandoned, then abducted, now alone. Kurt pulled the covers closer to his face and cried in them for what seemed like hours, but he knew was only a few minutes because the clock now read 9:00 am. Just then someone knocked on his door and entered without bothering to wait for an answer. Blaine opened the door and stared straight at Kurt, he was about to say something but met Kurt wet eyes. Blaine then had a questioning look.
"You're awake," Blaine said stating the obvious.
"Yea," Kurt said wiping his tears.
"Have you been crying?" He asked.
Kurt wiped his eyes "Sherlock" Kurt spat sarcastically, "What do you want?" Kurt asked him not looking up again.
"Breakfast is ready,"
"No thanks," Kurt said quickly just wanting to be alone.
"What about Maria?" He then asked still staring at Kurt.
Kurt looked over to his sister and she was awake now trying to steadily grip Kurt shirt with her chubby fingers. She was in deep concentration.
"I'll bring her down shortly," Kurt said silently.
It was quiet now, "Okay,"
Blaine nodded slightly and closed the door, Kurt could tell that his words had hurt him but whatever he don't care anymore, Kurt really don't. He told myself this consistently, trying to get himself to believe it but that never happened. Fifteen minutes later, Kurt bathed Maria and himself then they were about to get dressed. Kurt looked in the huge walk-in closet and saw a mixture of dresses for both Maria and shirt for him, along with separated scarft and pants.
Kurt eyes widened and he kissed Maria palm and nodded. Someone then knocked the door and Kurt told them to enter, he knew this time it wasn't Blaine.
Brittany came in and greeted him with her ever-present smile, a feather duster in one hand and an iron in the other. Kurt is not sure what she was planning on doing because the room was already spotless and all the clothes in the closet were wrinkle-free, but he didn't question her and greeted her instead. Kurt exited the room leaving her to her business and walked down the hall, Kurt walked until he spotted a staircase further down the hall. As he made his way over there Kurt got time to take note of the beautiful art on each wall.
There was a photograph of a butterfly on a yellow flower, "bee," Maria said spotting the painting.
Kurt smiled at her, "No butterfly" Kurt said slowly pronouncing each syllable. She looked up at Kurt confused forming her mouth several ways trying to say the word. Kurt continued walking ignoring the remaining paintings leaving them for a later date. Once he descended the staircase he looked to the left and saw 8 persons seated around a smaller table than last night, only 3 of which he was familiar with. They all stared at him now and there was an awkward silence.
"B... bu... bu... bu?" Kurt smiled down at Maria.
"Butterfly," Kurt whispered to her again, she was trying to analyze the word now as he made his way over to the table, he sat in the empty chair next to, of course, Blaine. Kurt greeted everyone and they watch him. Blaine handed Kurt a stack of cinnamon blueberry pancakes but he refused them, "Not a pancake fan?" A female asked as she cut her pancake which was drenched in syrup.
"I am," Kurt said plainly.
"But," a male asked obviously stating the fact that Kurt should continue.
"I'm allergic to cinnamon," Kurt admitted taking 3 of the regular plain pancakes and putting blueberry syrup on them.
"Oh really, I didn't know that," the king said.
Kurt nodded and cut a small piece of the pancake and placed it to Maria's mouth, she chewed it while still trying to pronounce the word.
"Don't talk and eat," Kurt said to her.
"Do you actually expect her to understand you?" Blaine asked.
It was then silent Maria was chewing her food without saying - or in this case trying to say- a word. Kurt smiled at Blaine victoriously and their eyes met, his eyes were soft and comforting at that point with a hint of childishness in the mesmerizing hazel.
Woaw! Did I just-? No I didn't, I couldn't. Could I?
Kurt then realized they were still in some sort of stare-off neither looking away from the other, that is, until he came to his senses and looked at his plate eating his pancake. What was that about?
