It was a late Friday night and Kurt just finished from his late shift at the restaurant, his feet ached and head throbbed. Maria’s head rested on his shoulder now, fast asleep as he made his way to the motel just 3 blocks up. Kurt pulled his bag further up his shoulder and steadied Maria in his arms. He couldn’t wait until he got to that room, not caring how sleazy it was but just focusing on the fact that it had a bed where he could immediately collapse. He sighed and continued up the sidewalk, his shoes clanking against the slightly damp concrete underneath the golden light from the street lights. The moon was exceptionally bright tonight and there were few stars in the sky, Kurt couldn’t wait to go home, well nowhere is actually home to him especially after his parents dying, leaving him and Maria.
Kurt sighed and hastily forgetting these hurtful memories for a while as he came up toward the old cemetery. He walk pass not realizing two guys were there until he saw as one exhaled, the smoke puffing in the humid air around. He gazed at them for a while until his eyes met with one. The boy eyes were dark hazel and almost unrealistic they were the most hypnotic things he would ever seen -or so he thought- this was until his friend turned and faced him too, his eyes literally glowed blue and even though he know he should be focusing on going home but he couldn’t help but stare.
Obviously he had to be wearing contacts because no one’s eyes are that blue but they were still so mesmerizing. Kurt snapped back to reality when Maria squirmed in his arms, he broke eye-contact and shushed her, slowly rocking her body side to side. He continued walking forward until he felt as though he was being followed. Kurt looked behind him and saw no one. He ignored the nauseous feeling in his stomach and continued walking. He was a block away from his apartment when he heard a twig break. He looked behind him quickly and saw a guy in a hoodie who seemed to have just crossed the street.
Kurt turned away in an attempt to rush to his apartment when he collided with someone.
"I’m Sorr-" He was about to finish apologizing when he saw his blue eyes and froze. He smiled a beautiful smile that was too irresistible. He turned away from him in an attempt to run but just ran into his friend. Kurt now was surrounded with his baby sister, Maria in his arms, his brain half working, his eyes failing and his limbs weakening. He wasn’t about to give up now. He dashed up the street in his shoes and thought he would lost them but saw a figure under the street light in the distance, at one glance he knew it was either one of them. Almost immediately after, one of them was in front of him. Kurt gazed up at his eyes timidly and they were hypnotic. Kurt then began looking down, that boy had a buff chest and well-defined jawline, his face was flawless except for a tiny beauty spot on his left cheekbone. He had shaggy curly hair and couldn’t be older than 23. Neither of them spoke, he just stared at Kurt and he wondered if he froze or something.
In Kurt arms, Maria was completely silent, he glanced her for a couple of seconds and she was awake, now looking at him too but with a childish- curiosity flooded her eyes more than anything else. Kurt went back to his eyes and he was angry and overall pissed. Scared now Kurt slowly began taking cautious steps backwards. A wind slapped across his face blowing his short chestnut colour hair to the right and a weight was lifted from his arms, He then realized Maria was no longer in his arms. Before he could react, he was against a tree trunk in the cemetery, blue eyes towering over him, he came closer, his breath touching Kurt cheek as his jagged breathing increased.
Why can’t I move? What’s wrong with me? Where’s Maria? What are these guys?
Kurt looked around but only saw the woods and headstones. If they did anything to Maria he don’t know how he can live with himself! That seemed like the motive that caused his body to go into defense mode. Kurt began pushing the boy away but it was too late and wasn’t working. Kurt glanced him, tears stinging his eyes, and the boy was smiling brightly. His canines then grew twice their normal size, Kurt struggled and pushed and screamed until he felt it. He bit Kurt. He felt all the blood in his body travel up to one spot, his throat and realized it was pleasurable.
Of course it hurt but it reminded him of persons who cut themselves, they know it hurts but it eases the pain at the same time. Kurt expected it to last longer as the boy would drink him until he was empty satisfying his craving but he didn’t. He pulled away from Kurt, wide-eyed and shocked. Kurt weak body began wobbling as his knees and eyes failed him, slowly closing with each blurred blink he made. He needed to know Maria was ok. Where is she? Where is she? Just then all things around him went black. The last thing he saw was the stranger boy looking at him and a silhouette in the background getting longer as it came toward them both.
