"Hey, Kurt..."
"Yeah?" Kurt looks up from his book as blaine slowly stops jumping up and down.
Blaine pants, regaining his breath, "Do you ever think about kissing?"
Kurt's eyebrows furrowed. "Kissing? Isn't that for adults?"
"Yeah, but don't you get curious? When it's on movies, you know? Like in Spider-Man when Peter Parker kisses Mary-Jane."
"Oh," Kurt says, his eyes dropping in thought. "I guess so. It's really weird."
"Yeah." Blaine takes a final jump, and lands on his butt right next to Kurt, who just looks back down to his book. It's silent for a few minutes before Blaine speaks back up. " Do you want to kiss someone?"
Kurt looks at him again, shrugging. "Not really, it seems gross."
Blaine nods. "Do you think it's fun, though?"
Kurt shrugs again, wondering why Blaine was so curious about this subject, but not bothering to ask. "I guess. That's why grown ups do it all the time."
Blaine nods again. Kurt watched him as his cheeks reddened. "Logan told me he kissed Sarah. He said it was weird but nice."
Kurt said nothing, just stared at Blaine as if wanting him to continue his thought. He still did not understand why Blaine was held up about kissing. It's just a grown ups activity. They're only nine, they've got a ways to go yet.
Blaine brought his hands into his lap, and looked up at Kurt with his eyebrows raised and a shy smile on his face. "I'd like to kiss someone."
Kurt almost laughed at the statement. "Like who? Penny?"
Blaine blushed slightly, but shook his head. "No. Penny likes Bobby. She told me yesterday."
"Well, who do you want to kiss?" Kurt heard a noise from the house and turned, hoping it wasn't Blaine's mom, he didn't want her to hear their private conversation. When it seemed clear, he turned back to his best friend in curiosity.
Blaine was looking down at his hands. "I don't know." He said, shrugging a little bit.
"Oh." Kurt mumbled. Blaine seemed to be done with the conversation, not speaking up again, so Kurt looked back down to his book and quickly found the sentence he left off on.
It was a couple minutes before either of them said anything. Blaine sat quietly, twiddling his thumbs in his lap while the only noise Kurt made was the sound of him turning his pages.
"I kinda want to kiss you."
Kurt paused, wondering if he heard the boy correctly. He couldn't have. No way. Boys weren't suppose to kiss other boys. They only kissed girls. That's why Kurt always felt a little guilty when he saw his classmate Kolton and thought he was cute.
Blaine had noticed the stop in motion of Kurt, and bit his lip nervously. Shouldn't have said it. Should not have said anything. Why didn't you kept your mouth shut, stupid? Now he's going to think you're gross and he's not going to want to be your best friend anymore. Blaine hung his head, his cheeks burning so much it hurt.
Kurt looked slowly over at Blaine, eyebrows furrowed when he saw the younger boy with head bowed, face flaming red.
Blaine brought his head up to glance at Kurt, "Kurt, I-I'm sorry, I didn't-"
"Okay."
Blaine stopped, mid-sentence. "O-okay?" Blaine was surprised. Okay? "You want to kiss me too?"
"Yeah," Kurt shrugged.
Blaine couldn't believe his ears. Kurt wants to kiss him? Even though he's a boy? Blaine smiles slightly, "Okay."
They both immediately realized they had no idea what to do. Blaine started by getting rid of the space between them slightly, scooting closer to his best friend. Kurt then felt his cheeks heat up and his heart race with anticipation and nervousness.
Blaine looked into Kurt's wonderful color-changing eyes, nerves flooding into him. "Do we just, like, do it like the movies? Like Spider-Man?"
"Well, you can't exactly go upside down, but I guess so."
"Sadly." Blaine said, gaining a chuckle from Kurt. "Ready?" He asked.
Kurt nodded, "Want to count down?"
"Sure." Blaine shrugged, and took in a breath of the warm summer air around them. "Three, two," He paused for a second when Kurt closed his eyes, waiting for the contact. "One."
Blaine leaned the rest of the way, pressing his lips against the other boy's. His eyes were squeezed shut, holding his breath. They both froze, their lips pressed tightly against one another's. What do they do now?
Kurt slowly opened one eye, and was almost surprised by the closeness of his best friend. He saw Blaine's incredibly long eyelashes as they sat on his cheeks, his eyes shut tight. Kurt could feel Blaine's nose pressed against his cheek, and he wondered how long they've been kissing.
He shut his eye once more and felt more aware of the pair of lips against his own. the feeling made a red pool of blush flood up his neck to his cheeks and then to his ears.
Blaine then leaned back, a giant grin sitting on his face. Kurt let out his long held breath, and he couldn't help the smile forming on his lips either. They both sat there, grinning to one another.
"That was awesome." Blaine said, eyes wide with amazement and excitement.
Kurt nodded, suddenly not feeling as guilty as before about that one time the thought entered his brain telling him that Blaine was very cute.
"Boys, come in for lunch!" Blaine's mom opened the back door with a a smile.
"Okay!" Both yelled back, and Blaine got up, jumping off the trampoline, "First to the door gets to pick the movie tonight!"
"No fair! You started before me!" Kurt whined, sliding off, shutting his book and taking after his best friend.
They both sprinted to the door, but only Blaine was victorious. He turned to Kurt, panting a little. "We'l be watching Spider-Man."
Can't believe I deleted this, I'm so mad haha. Oh well, enjoy!
