It was Kurt's first day back at his old school. He had been away for a year; to say he was nervous was an understatement. One year and during that time he lost touch with all his friends. He did miss them and to say that he didn't would be a lie.
Before walking into the halls of McKinley, he took a deep breath, closed his eyes and prepared himself.
When he opened them again he started making his journey inside the school when he heard someone call his name. He turned around to see who it was.
"Rachel." He responded, with a big smile on his face. He opened his arms and pulled her into a hug.
"Hi. Wow, I didn't know you were back." Rachel said, breathlessly. "Wait, when did you get back?" She questioned.
"Yesterday. "
"Well, I will just have to forgive you for not calling. I mean it must have been hard coming back here after everything. "She said, her brow frowning a little.
"Yeah it's kinda hard." He looked down at the groaned and took a deep breath. "I saw a poster of Santana yesterday, not really a welcome back kinda think I wanted." He chuckled, but there was no humor in it at all.
"You should have called." She said, trying to change the subject.
"We kinda feel out of touch while I was away, so I just assumed that you would not want to hear from me." He looked back up at her with sad eyes.
Rachel nodded he head. "Maybe that is what he needed to do at the time. But now that your back, I would have liked to hear from you."
"Yeah, okay. Maybe we can hang out later." He did really miss her, they were best friends for years and now that he was back he just hoped that they could at least be something other than what they were.
"Let's do that." She said, linking their arms together.
Kurt and Rachel walked into their first period and sat into their seats.
Rachel leaned over to his desk, smiling brightly at him. "So, I hear we have a new English teacher."
Kurt's head shot up. "Really, do tell?"
"All I know, or what I have heard is that he is really hot."
"Now I'm excited to see this hottie." They both laughed.
Kurt started going through his satchel, getting things out for the lesion, when he head Rachel again. "Yup, this one is hot." Shaking his head, he started pulling out his book.
When he looked up, he noticed the teacher has his back turned to him. ‘Come on turn around, I just wanna see a cute face to get me though the day.' He thought.
Shaking his head, he looked down at his notebook, opening it up and writing the date and his name.
"Oh my god." Kurt heard.
His head snapped up. He was looking at something he really was not expecting. It was the guy from the bar he met and made out with yesterday. Kurt gasped, his eyes so wide that they felt like they could just fall out any second.
He heard Blaine clear his throat before looking away. "My name is Mr. Anderson and I'm your new English teacher."
The rest of the class went well or as well as it could. Kurt could not believe that the person he met in the bar the day before was his teacher. His very handsome teacher. Okay this could be bad.
-------
The rest of the day was uneventful. So far the only thing that happened to Kurt that day was his English teacher being someone whom had their tongue down his throat.
So know here he was, on his way to said teacher's classroom, hoping that they could still continue with whatever it was that they were doing.
Kurt looked into the class room and saw Blaine, looking perfect as ever. Closing his eyes he took a deep break. He stood there several, before finally getting the nerve and walking inside.
When Blaine heard the door he looked up and realized that it was Kurt, he figured this would happen sooner or later and he was hoping for the lather.
Blaine but down on his bottomed lip before speaking, "You.. umm, you said you went to, Ohio State." He said with a slight quiver in his tone.
Kurt walked up to his desk, looking intensely at him. "No. I never said I went to Ohio State, you just assumed. I said, I was thinking about majoring in English." He said, matter of factly.
"Which by the way, I am thinking about." He added.
"Look, Kurt, I think you're amazing, smart, and so many other things I should not be thinking. The moment I meet you, I could not rap my mind around who you were and what and how kind you are and so many things..." Blaine cut himself off, he knew this was getting far to inappropriate and it could not continue.
Kurt smiled so brightly, moving forward, to get closer to Blaine. He looked down at Blaine's hand as started moving his closer until his was on top of Blaine's holding onto it.
"I'm still the same person, nothing has changed."
"Blaine looks around. He's freaking out by all this. He doesn't know what to think. "Yes, it has. Kurt, I'm your teacher. Everything has changed."
Shaking his head, he grips tighter onto Blaine's hand. "I know I'm not the only one. You feel this connection we have too, like this is right for us." He can't let Blaine get away from him, not after he just found him. He is frantic and he knows Blaine can see that.
Blaine looks sad, because he is. But he knows that this can't go on between them. He is being smart, even if Kurt don't see that now. "But it's not right, Kurt." He pulls his hand away from Kurt's. He can't have Kurt touching him, if he does he don't think he will be able to go through with this.
"I just can't. I'm sorry." Blaine gets up out of his chair. He needs to be away from Kurt, so he walked out the door, leaving Kurt just standing their staring at the stop Blaine was once in.
Kurt feels numb. He just wants to go home and cry for about a week. How did everything get so messed up on the first day of school? He feels tears threaten to fall, before he lets them he needs to get home, so he hurries and bolts out the classroom. Once he is home, he will let them fall.
