“No...” Tears streamed down Kurt’s cheeks. How could this happen? Why now? Just when he thought everything was going according to plan! It’s been 3 years since he have seen Dave and he wanted to keep it that way. But Fate didn’t!
It all started when Blaine and Kurt went to New York for the Christmas Break. Blaine spoiled him so much. He took him to all the places he dreamt to go! The Empire State Building, Tiffany’s, the Wax Museum... It was perfect. Until that day. The day he realised that it wasn’t his imagination, they were indeed being followed by him. Yes, Dave Karofsky was following them. Just when Kurt thought the nightmares would stop, it started again.
About a week after Christmas, Kurt and Blaine was parading through the streets of New York, looking for the right scarf for Kurt. They have already visited about 12 shops. Although Blaine was tired, he couldn’t complain, because Kurt was the man he loved, and they were having a blast in New York. He noticed Kurt’s uneasiness the past three days, but ignored and addressed it as homesickness. He noticed that Kurt was extra jumpy today. About an hour ago, he asked Kurt if he was okay. “I’m fine, just tired. You know you’ve been keeping me up every night,” Kurt winked, with a fake smile. Blaine couldn’t help but feel that something was wrong.
After about 5 hours, and 17 shops, they finally found the correct scarf. Blaine was in a way relieved, because now he could take Kurt home and make him his for the evening. Even if it just meant cuddling. On the way home, Kurt almost fell asleep in Blaine’s arms in the cab. Arriving at the hotel they quickly went to their room, put on Harry Potter and cuddled on the bed. Kurt wasn’t watching the movie at all, because he was captivated in his worried thoughts about being followed by Dave. God knows what that psycho could do. Eventually the movie’s titles ran over the screen and Blaine realised that Kurt had tears in his eyes. “What’s wrong, honey?” Kurt was quickly ripped out of his dream world and then he realized that he was tearing up. “Nothing, just missing my dad and the guys from New Directions. Sorry, I shouldn’t have cried, I’m such a baby sometimes.” Blaine held Kurt close. “That’s why I love you Kurt! I want to be there for you when you cry! I want to hold you tight when you are scared, and I want to kiss you whenever you want to.” Blaine watched Kurt’s eye tear up again, but this time with a huge smile on his gorgeous face. “I love you Blaine. Thanks for these past days!” Kurt leaned towards Blaine and just subtly touched his lips with his. “I love you to,” Blaine breathed on his lips. Blaine wanted to make the kiss deeper, but knew Kurt wasn’t in the mood for it. If Kurt made the first move, he’d willingly follow. “Can I be the small spoon tonight?” Kurt asked, and almost immediately Blaine wrapped his arms around him and intertwined their legs. Kurt instantaneously forgot about Karofsky and fell asleep in the arms of the one he loved...
