Fuck. Everything about Kurt Hummel was perfect, from his hair to his eyes, the ones that he would stare into for days on end if possible, and the insane smile that could light up the whole room in less than a second.

He knew it was silly, he'd only known Kurt a few weeks. Should he learn more about the boy? No, it felt like he'd known him his whole entire life.

He wanted to tell him. So fucking badly, but he couldn't, what would Kurt say? A guy as perfect as him could have anyone, and to find out the guy who you look up to thinks he's in love with you would be… No. He couldn't. Kurt would never feel the same.

Yup, Blaine Anderson was totally, utterly screwed.

Kurt smiled to himself as he took a sip of his coffee at the Lima Bean, the place he hadn't been to for so many years, it took him back to when he'd met Blaine Anderson, and the story began.

They laughed about Kurt comparing himself to a baby penguin, and made jokes about Blaine's insane amount of hair gel, or that he was the size of a hobbit.

Blaine was romantic, sweet, perfect, and seemed not to care about who knew about him and Kurt. He was just something right out of a poem.

It was the first time in his entire life Kurt really, honestly had something that he would be upset to lose, but he did. Not dumped, not a mutual break up either, but they just… Grew apart.

Sometimes though, he wonders. He wonders what Blaine thinks about it, does he at all?

Well, no matter what Blaine thought, Kurt would dance like he and Blaine used to. He didn't want to dance alone again. So he would pretend.

Kurt Hummel was in love with Blaine Anderson, there was no denying it. What could he do, honestly, it felt like he was being spun around, but in a good way, like he didn't mind.

When Blaine smiled that beautiful smile, or even when Kurt looked into his hazel eyes, he knew he was a goner, that the floor beneath him was moving but he couldn't feel the ground. Hi heart was – forget skipping, jumping in his chest.

Kurt wished that he wasn't wasting his feelings, hopes that Blaine felt the same.

The fight was one of the worst ones they'd ever had, Kurt was honestly pretty, well 98% sure that he threw his phone across the room at Blaine, causing them to almost break up.

He'd automatically thought they'd be broken up, but Blaine stayed.

The next morning they'd talked, because Kurt knew that he'd read somewhere, maybe in a magazine that you should never leave a fight unresolved.

He'd left them before, with other guys, and it never ended well, but Blaine, he'd never let go. Blaine wasn't like any of the other self indulgent losers he'd been with. Blaine cared, memorized him, which made Kurt realize… He wanted Blaine forever.

No one else would love him, and find it funny when he got mad, or carry his groceries when his arms were full, or listen when he just needed to vent.

Yep, Kurt had definitely been loving Blaine for quite some time.

White Flag – Dido

Yes, they were no longer together, but that didn't matter to Blaine. He loved Kurt with every fiber of his being and damnit he would go down with their relationship, if it was really sinking.

No, he didn't want to make Kurt's life harder, or date him again, although the second would be nice, but he knew that if he didn't say it, that he would still feel it, and really, where is the sense in that? There is none.

Blaine knew that he'd caused too much trouble with the whole cheating fiasco to be with him again, and he knew deep down that it made sense, but that didn't change his mind, he would still go down with this ship.

And one day, when they run into each other, which he knows they will one day soon, the spark, the love will still be there. But Blaine will hold his tongue, and not say a thing, and Kurt will think that he's moved on. A precious lie.

But there won't be a white flag on his door, He will not surrender.

He'll go down with this ship.

Kurt really, really didn't want yet another heartbreak, like the ones before.

Blaine just wanted to be swept off his feet by a white knight.

Neither wanted to learn to love the hard way, but the way they loved each other was nothing short of perfection.

They were made to be together, and when they kissed

It was… Impossible, a feeling like that, it was the real definition of unthinkable bliss.

Blaine was pretty sure Kurt could kiss him anywhere and he wouldn't give a shit as long as Kurt's lips were on his, making him feel like he could fly.

Kurt could tell from the way Blaine walked, the way he spoke and the way he treated himself that he'd been hurt by a previous lover. But Kurt could fix it, he could make the hurt go away, he would take care of Blaine's heart until it mended. If only Blaine would let him. 

Blaine had been hurt so badly previously, but he could tell Kurt had too, and he would look after him, take care of him so to speak. He could deal with loving, mending the heart that he didn't break in the first place. He would wait until whenever Kurt was ready, and he wouldn't leave him out in the cold, or force him to rush things or to hide anything. When the time came it would be perfect,

And they would take care of each other.

Kurt plastered on his best fake smile, and pretended to sway with the music, he did this a lot, the place was familiar, and though it wasn't his favourite pastime he had to. But the fake smile became a real, genuine one when he saw the beautiful boy with the daring eyes across the room. The boy walked over, and it was though everyone else in the room vanished, it was just the two of them.

He was simply enchanting, but flirty and sweet. Their playful conversation, and the boys hazel eyes drowned out all of Kurt's worries.

The entire way home, Kurt was blushing more violently than ever before. That night, he couldn't sleep, only pace, and imagine that Blaine was there, on the other side of his front door, and he would be a perfect gentleman, and say to Kurt “I was enchanted to meet you”

God, Kurt hoped so badly that Blaine had no other lover on the scene, that he had nobody waiting on him.

Kurt prayed to a God he didn't believe in that he would see Blaine again, that it wouldn't be the first and last time he would ever see the curly haired beauty.

He would never let this night go, and his thoughts continued to replay everything Blaine in his head, never tiring of the thought of his voice or eyes, or hair or smile.

Yes, Kurt was enchanted to meet him.
