I tried on this, but I've had way too much coffee and not enough sleep, so this is what happened.
Anyway leave a review if you want the next chapter, because I've written it but I don't know if anyone would want to read it.
Blaine’s P.O.V
I walked down the crowded halls of McKinley High, staring at the ground, not daring to look up for fear of a slushie to the face (from what I’ve heard) when I bumped into someone. “Ohmygod I’m so sorry…” But when I looked up I was terrified, and began to back away slowly, because the person I’d so unfortunately walked into was obviously a football player, tall with brown hair and a stupid half smirk, wearing a red letterman jacket with a large black M written on it, he somehow looked friendly although I wasn’t going to take my chances, no matter how trusting this boy looked, I learned that the hard way. “Woah, dude why the hell are you walking backwards, you’re gonna like walk into someone else!” I furrowed my eyebrows, and gulped saying “Aren’t you going to throw a slushie in my face or toss me into the dumpster or something?” The boy tilted his head to one side, trying to hold back a laugh and extended his hand. “I’m Finn Hudson, and I don’t throw kids into dumpsters unless they make fun of me or mr friends, and trust me, I know what it feels like to get hit by a slushie, and no one deserves that…. It, like, drips into your underwear and makes you feel really uncomfortable, I used to do it to people until I joined Glee Club and they turned out to be awesome people…” I couldn’t believe my ears… This guy, this football player is in the Glee Club? I shook his hand, and replied “Glee Club? I was going to sign up for that… Oh, I’m Blaine Anderson by the way.” “Follow me, I’ll take you to the choir room so you can audition, did you have a particular song in mind?” He asked, as we began to walk slowly towards the choir room. Crap, I completely forgot to practice a song to try out with…. “Well, I thought I might sing Teenage Dream…” I replied, and he nodded. “Cool. So uh, you have a girlfriend?” I stopped and looked at him, “Sorry if that’s too personal dude…. I just thought that I should get to know you, being your only friend here and all. We're friends? Huh. We've only known each other for like two minutes... He seems nice enough, and I can't really pass up friends. ”I opened my mouth, trying to find the right way to tell him that I’m gay. “No, girls aren’t really my type if you know what I mean...” Finn gasped, “You’re gay?” I chuckled and nodded, as Finn pushed open the door to the choir room. “That’s cool man, the people in here are gonna love you.” He said. Well it's nice to knnow I'm not going to me murdered.
The second I walked in, I scanned over the people in the room, and stopped when I saw him. He was… gorgeous, to say the least with a smile that seemed to light up the room, perfectly styled hair and beautiful blue eyes that I could stare into forever. “Holy crap.” Everyone turned his or her head to look at me, and I swear my cheeks went ruby red when the stunning boy's eyes met mine. The teacher, Mr. Schuester, I would assume motioned for Finn and I to come in. “Welcome, I’m guessing you’re Blaine Anderson, the new student?” Mr. Schuester asked. I nodded, still distracted by the boy in the back row. My train of thought was cut off as Mr. Schue said, “Have you got anything prepared for us Blaine? Not to worry though, everyone who tries out gets in.” “Yes, I have.” Sitting down at the piano I began to play the first few notes of an acoustic version of Teenage Dream that I’d learned a while ago.
You think I’m pretty, without any makeup on
You think I’m funny, when I tell the punchline wrong
I know you get me, so I let my walls come down
I realized I’d been singing the first few lines of the song to the gorgeous blue eyed boy, looking away I tried to distract myself from him, because if I stared any longer I’d probably look like a creep, so I looked down at my hands moving across the keys as I finished the rest of the song.
Be your Teenage Dream tonight…
I looked up from the piano, and everyone was on their feet and clapping, “Well, I think I speak for us all when I say that you’re very welcome to join the New Directions, Blaine.” Mr. Schue said with a smile, and I walked over to the seats and sat down on the only empty chair, next to Finn. Mr. Schue wrote “Duets” on the whiteboard and spun around, clapping his hands together once.
“This weeks assignment is to choose someone, a friend, so not someone you are currently dating” he glared at Rachel and Finn, who looked extremely guilty, and some people laughed. “and to sing a duet with them, try and pick someone that you’ve never sung with before.” Finn turned his head “If you want you could come over tonight and we could work on a duet for the assignment.” I had hoped to meet new people for this assignment but Finn is apparently my friend and I am in no position to pass up friends. “Uh, sure” The school bell rang out to signify the end of the day, and Finn and I walked out towards the car park, and got into his car. “We just have to wait for my stepbrother, his car broke down so...” Finn explained. I nodded, and turned on the car radio. “Oh here he is. His name's Kurt by the way” He said, after a moment of silence. I looked out the window to see the tall boy from before.
Perfect. Just perfect, that’s all you need. Another distraction. He got in the car and Finn started the engine, and drove back to his house. I'm not going to get anything done with Kurt around, even his name is perfect.
