"Hey, you ready?" Blaine asks, walking into Kurt's room.
"Yup, let me grab my coat and we can go." Kurt says, giving Blaine a smile, while turning around to look for his coat in his closet.
Kurt and Blaine were just going on a simple Breadstix date tonight. Finn was with Rachel, and Burt and Carole were in Washington working on Burt's congress plans, so Kurt had the house to himself. The boys were going to eat, and then coming back to hang out at home.
"Let's go." Kurt said, coming up behind Blaine and grabbing his hand, pulling him towards the front door.
When the boys arrived at Breadstix, they settled in and their waitress came by.
"Hello Boys. What may I get for you tonight?" The waitress, Lauren, as her nametag read, said.
"I just want a water with a chicken grill salad. Cesear dressing, please." Kurt said, reading off the menu.
"I would also like a water, but can I get the chicken parmasean linguini, grilled, please."Blaine said, closing his menu to hand it to Lauren.
"Sure thing. It'll be out in a few minutes." Lauren said, smiling and walking away with their menus.
Kurt couldn't help but think how the waitress looked like his mom.
"Hey, baby, what are you thinking about?" Blaine asks, looking to Kurt as he stares out the window.
"Oh, nothing, just the waitress looks very similar to how my mom looked. Same eyes, face, everything. It just reminded me of her." Kurt smiles.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Blaine said, with a sympethetic smile.
"It's okay, sweetie. Let's just enjoy our night." Kurt smiles.
No-one knew that Lauren sat around the corner listening to the boys conversation, knowing she couldn't reveal herself.
Only one of her co-workers actually knew who she was. Lauren, had actally moved her and got the waitress job. When she did, she found a great friend, someone she knew she could trust, and told them.
"Lauren, what are you looking at?" Alyssa said, coming up behind Lauren.
"Look at the boys over there. By the window." Lauren said.
"Ok, What is it?" Alyssa asks.
"The boy. With the blue eyes." Lauren says.
"Oh, what doe-Wait, is that your son?" Alyssa asks, with wide eyes.
"Yes, it is."Lauren looks up with teary eyes.
"Well, GO Talk to him!!" Alyssa exclaims.
"NO! I can't. He thinks I'm dead!" Lauren says.
"Ok, this might be the only time you ever see him! You need to tell him the truth!" Alyssa exclaims.
"Fine." Lauren sighs, giving in. "I'll be right back."
Lauren slowly walks over to the boys.
"Hey, are you enjoying your meal?" Lauren asks.
"Y-Yes. Thank you." Kurt answers.
"I need to talk to you about something." Lauren says.
"Umm, are we in trouble? Cause I promise we didn't do anything." Kurt says.
"NO, I just need to ask your name. You look familiar." Lauren says.
"Funny, you do to." Kurt laughs.
"Oh, to who, can I ask?" Lauren says.
"My mom. She died when I was about eight. I Was devistated. But yeah, that's who you look like." Kurt says, with a watery smile.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Lauren says, giving Kurt a smile.
"Oh, sorry. My name is Kurt." Kurt says, with a smile.
"Can I tell you something, Kurt?" Lauren asks.
"Umm, sure." Kurt says.
"Well, I think this might be able to show you. This was me, when I was younger. I used to have a wonderful family." Lauren says, shoving a picture into Kurt's hands.
A picture that included a younger Kurt, Burt, and Elizabeth.
"I know it was you the moment I saw you. And my name isn't Lauren it's Elizabeth." Elizabeth says.
Kurt looks up with a gasp and watery eyes, looking to his long lost, but now found mother.
