“It’s just easier to buy the microwavable bag!” replied Blaine cheerfully.
Kurt rolled his eyes. “Those taste terrible compared to fresh vegetables. You can’t manipulate their taste at all.”
“Well, that’s why you’re here to help me,” said Blaine as he batted his eyes. Kurt rolled his eyes again but couldn’t resist giving him a quick kiss.
“Come on, I promised that dinner would be ready at 6:30.”
“And it’s just now 5:30!”
“Well with you not realizing you can’t put a metal bowl in the microwave we may be here until midnight!”
“It was an honest mistake!”
“Yeah, well, I’ll let it slide this time because you’re awfully cute, but don’t expect the same generosity next time.”
Blaine loved the casual way Kurt had begun to flirt ever since they had finally started dating a month ago; it felt so natural and never failed to put a stupid grin on his face. Blaine couldn’t complain too much about his inability to keep a straight face because it always boosted Kurt’s confidence and caused him to kick his flirting up a notch. Kurt playfully kissed Blaine’s nose and turned around to check on the chicken, fully aware that he was giving Blaine a great view as he bent down to the oven. Blaine blushed and was grateful that the only other person in the house, Finn, was upstairs in his room. He had always felt very welcome in the Hummel-Hudson home, but was doing his best to remain a polite boyfriend. Blaine shook his head several times.
“Come on, give me some easy job to do! I can peel the carrots, no big deal there.”
