Blaine laid down next to Maddie on the picnic blanket.
“Look at that one, Daddy! Look it!” the four-year old squealed.
“I see it,” smiled Blaine. “What color is it?”
“Mmmm,” she considered for a moment. “Green!”
“That’s right,” said Blaine. “With a white stripe.”
Maddie turned her head. “Daddy, is Papa on that plane?”
“No,” said Blaine. “He’s in California until Friday, remember? Today’s only Tuesday.”
“Oh. I wish it was Friday.”
Blaine tucked his daughter under his arm. “Me too, sweetie.”
End Notes: Word came from shuffling my ipod and B.O.B.'s ‘Airplanes' came on. Lame and cheap, I know, but it got things going on this, so I'm ok with it.
