Thoughts?

“Blaine! Come on, we're going ice skating!” Kurt jumped up and down on his bed rapidly, shaking Blaine awake. Blaine groaned and murmured, “five more minutes.”

“No,” Kurt said, ceasing his fast movements, “Oh come on, Blaine. It's a brand new day!” Kurt started jumping again. This time Blaine opened his eyes and sat up, rubbing his face.

It's not like Blaine didn't like spending time with Kurt, but everyday with him reminded him of everyday he'll be without him. He'll be back home in just a couple of days and then he'll weather away into a sad nothing that puts himself in autopilot just to get through his life. He didn't know loneliness until he met Kurt. But he can at least make this limited time count.

“Alright! Alright.. calm down, Kurt. I'm getting up,” Kurt clapped his hands together and jumped down from the queen sized bed. He skipped out of the room, towel in hand.

“I'm gonna take a shower and then you can jump in after me,” Kurt called over his shoulder.

“Sounds like a plan,” Blaine said, walking into the kitchen and pouring himself a bowl of cereal. Just then, Rachel walked into the room sleepily. She rubbed her eyes with her palms and walked towards the table, half-awake.

“Mmm, morning Blaine.”

“Morning, Rach. Are you going skating with us today?” Blaine asked, scooping some cereal up with his spoon and putting it into his mouth.

“Yeah. What time did Kurt say we were going?” Rachel asked.

“I think last night he said we were taking off at 2,” Blaine grabbed the orange juice and poured some into his cup.

“Oh okay,” she pulled out a chair and sat down throwing her hands into her hair, trying to tame it, “are you taking a shower after Kurt?”

“Yeah,” Blaine took his bowl to the sink and rinsed it out.

Kurt walked out of the bathroom and crosses the kitchen to walk into his room.

“Bathroom's all yours, Anderson,” Kurt said, wiggling his hips as he approached his bedroom.

Blaine stared at Kurt's exposed back but finally tore his eyes away, escaping into the bathroom swiftly. Once in the warm embrace of the trickling water, Blaine finally let his tears break free. He didn't want to be a baby about all of it, but how can he suppress it? He knew that Kurt was the one. He just had a feeling. Whenever Kurt supplied him with the simplest of touches, he couldn't help the sudden flips he'd feel inside of his heart. When Blaine was done, he stepped outside of the shower and wrapped the towel around his waist. He exited the bathroom and walked into his room to change. Once he was ready, he walked into the living room and gave Kurt the briefest of hugs. Kurt was startled at first but then leaned into the hug. Blaine pulled away and looked into Kurt's eyes.

“What was that for?” Kurt asked concerned.

“Nothing. I just realized what a good friend you are.”

Kurt smiled and walked into the kitchen. “Rachel's in the shower?” Kurt asked taking a bite of a green apple.

“Yeah,” Blaine answered.

Rachel walked out of the bathroom right then with wet hair and a towel wrapped around her small figure.

“I'll be ready in just a sec, boys,” Rachel jogged into her room and got dressed in record time. She walked back into the kitchen, grabbing a banana.

“Ready?” She asked excitedly. Both men smiled and walked toward the door. They opened it and joined the people on the crowded streets.

By the time they got to the ice skating rink, the place was entirely crowded. There were a lot of people in line to get ice skates and there were even more people actually skating. Rachel looked at the crowded arena in disbelief and turned back to the two boys. There was disappointment evident on her face and Kurt could see a lot of her in Blaine. They were the best when it came to pouting. Rachel starting crying and Kurt opened his arms, offering his comfort. Rachel entered his embrace without hesitation and clung to Kurt's shirt.

“How are we going to skate in this mess?” Rachel asked sadly.

Kurt shrugged and Rachel started crying even harder. Kurt looked at Blaine in desperation and Blaine nodded, understanding.

“Rachel, it'll be okay. We can wait until it gets late. Not that many people will be here then. We can go get some cocoa in the meantime,” Blaine said, rubbing his cousin's back comfortingly. Rachel poked her head out from where it was buried in Kurt's scarf.

“You mean it?” Rachel asked.

“Of course,” Blaine grinned.

Rachel smiled widely and jumped out of Kurt's embrace in utter excitement. She hugged Blaine and kissed him on the cheek.

“Alright, then it's settled!” She started walking toward the street, the two men in tow.

They walked along the street, pointing to certain Christmas decorations and laughing at fake Santa Clauses and just enjoying each others' presence. While they were walking, Kurt looked at Blaine discreetly. He knew that he would leave soon and he mourned the day that that would happen. He loved being friends with Blaine-- he was probably the best part of the day-- but he wouldn't be lying if he said that he didn't want to be more. Ever since the night he walked into the kitchen with his big, dopey grin, Kurt couldn't stop thinking about him. The way he talked and the way he smiled and the way he would brush stray strands away from Kurt's eyes. He loved everything about Blaine and wanted to be around him all the time.

Kurt looked at Blaine on the cold night while they were walking to the corner cafe. He couldn't help but notice all the dips and curves of Blaine's face. The way his eyes light up when he saw something beautiful. The way the Christmas lights reflected in his golden eyes. The way he smiled when the group passed by something funny. Kurt thought he was absolutely stunning. Kurt didn't know how long he was staring but he escaped out of his trance when Blaine started Rachel started tugging on his arm.

“Kurt! We're here. I'm gonna go to the bathroom. Can you and Blaine order for me?”

Kurt nodded and followed Blaine to the cafe line.

“Are you okay, Kurt? You seemed a little off just now,” Blaine observed, bringing his hand to rest on Kurt's forehead, checking for a temperature.

“Oh, no. I'm fine, thank you. I just keep thinking about how wonderful today is turning out to be,” Kurt said, smiling at Blaine.

Blaine smiled back and pushed back a fallen strand of hair that was gently caressing Kurt's forehead. Kurt blushed and turned away, looking at the menu. They moved forward and ordered three hot chocolates. They sat down at the corner booth before Rachel emerged from the bathroom. She spotted Kurt and Blaine and skipped playfully to the table, plopping down next to Kurt and scooping up the warm cup into her hands. She took a sip and moaned, closing her eyes as if it'll make her enjoy the drink more.

“You guys have to try it. I've never been here before. We definitely have to come again,” Rachel bounced up and down in her seat before gesturing to the cups that the boys were still holding.

They both brought their lips to the cups and took a sip simultaneously. Both of them moaned in response to the warm liquid.

“Wow. That is good,” Blaine said, grinning up at Kurt who nodded in agreement. Rachel squealed in delight and hugged Kurt.

That hot chocolate is making Rachel crazy… Kurt thought as he went in for another sip of the delicious cocoa.

When they finished their drinks, they parted from the warm atmosphere of the cafe and journeyed out into the cold night, making their way back to the rink. They were shivering by the time they got back and decided to sit on a bench by the ice skate pick-up line.

“I'm going to get in line,” Rachel declared, standing up and jogging over to the shortened column of people.

Kurt nodded and unknowingly cuddled into Blaine's side. Blaine sighed in contentment and snaked his arm around Kurt's waist. Kurt buried his head into the crook of Blaine's neck and they just sat there, wrapped in each other's warmth.

“Kurt,” Blaine said trying to get his friend's attention. Kurt hummed in response, burying his head into Blaine's neck even further- if that was even possible.

“Kurt, I can't do this anymore,” Blaine said, squeezing Kurt's hip.

Kurt blinked in confusion and lifted his head to inspect Blaine's face.

“What do you mean?” Kurt asked uncertainly.

“What I mean is, you want us to be friends,” Kurt nodded, “but I can't do it,” Blaine said, dropping his head in his hands. Kurt looked at him, tears starting to form in his eyes.

“I can't do it, Kurt. I walk around the apartment trying to avoid staring at your gorgeous face. Trying to avoid wrapping you up in my arms and kissing you. Trying to resist to urge of wanting you. Just wanting you. And I want you so bad,” Blaine's face was still hidden in his palms. Kurt tugged his hands away from hiding his face so he would look at him. Blaine's eyes stayed glued to the ground so Kurt lifted his chin up with his index finger.

“Blai-” Kurt was cut off by the sound of Rachel's voice calling their names. She was running toward them with three pairs of skates in her hands.

“Guys! I got skates!” She shouted from a short distance away. The two men smiled and thanked Rachel, accepting the skates and putting them on.

Once the skates were finally on, the three amigos ventured out into the rink and started mindlessly skating around the large expanse of ice. White Christmas started blaring out of the speakers, one of Kurt's favorite Christmas songs. Kurt started singing along with the music under his breath, but Blaine must've noticed because he was suddenly skating beside him and singing along, too.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

Just like the ones I used to know

Where the tree tops glisten

And the children listen

To hear sleigh bells in the snow

Kurt smiled at Blaine's goofiness and continued singing into the cold night.

Im dreaming of a white Christmas

With every Christmas card I write

May your days be merry and bright

And may all

Your Christmases be white

Blaine took hold of Kurt's hand, not paying attention to Kurt's warning about intimate physical contact he made a few days before.

Im dreaming of a white Christmas

With every Christmas card I write

May your days be merry and bright

And may all your Christmases

May all your Christmases

May all your Christmases

May all your Christmases be white

They were standing in the center of the rink now and Blaine was slowly approaching Kurt. Kurt's heart sped up and his mind kept crying out, he's going to kiss me. He's going to kiss me. Oh please, Blaine. Please kiss me.

Kurt's eyes closed and silently waited for Blaine's lips to touch his. When it never came, Kurt opened his eyes and saw Blaine grinning before he skated to the side and left Kurt in bewilderment. Kurt's mind caught up to him and he chased after Blaine.

Im dreaming of a white

Christmas with you

Jingle Bells

All the way, all the way

The song ended and they escaped the arena, having their fill of ice skating. They returned their skates then sat down at a table that was further away from the rink then their previous bench. They sat close together now, not worried about the strange looks that were thrown their way.

“Blaine,” Kurt looked at Blaine who looked back at him curiously. Blaine's lip quivered slightly causing Kurt's heart to do flips that he's never felt before Blaine walked into his life.

“Blaine, why me?” Blaine looked at Kurt confusedly and began to open his mouth before Kurt beat him to it, “I mean, honestly. I'm disgustingly pale, my nose is oddly shaped, my teeth are really small. What do you even see in a guy like me?” Kurt asked, staring into Blaine's eyes for an explanation.

“Kurt,” Blaine looked at the younger man adoringly, “I don't see those things the way you do. You're skin is flawlessly pale. It's a beautiful skin tone that drew me in the minute I saw you. You're nose is adorable and is not, in fact, oddly shaped. And your smile is amazing. It lights everything up. Including my heart. Kurt, you are absolutely stunning. It's time you start seeing that,” Blaine grabbed Kurt's hand and squeezed it lightly. Kurt's face relaxed. He settled his eyes upon Blaine's and they gazed at one another.

Kurt doesn't remember when he started moving, but all her knew that was he was leaning forward. His eyes flickered down to Blaine's mouth and then back up to his eyes. He tried to search for anything that said he didn't want to be kissed. He found nothing so he closed the distance between them and brought Blaine in for a small kiss. It was slow and tender. Their lips moved languidly, their heads tilted slightly. Kurt broke the kiss first and backed away, slowly sitting down. Both men smiling like they saw the sun for the first time.
