While one of the less exciting scenes was being performed, Kurt had let his mind wander. Why would Sebastian buy him a backstage pass? That would have to be at least $30 to get. He had also gotten him front row seats. Those were expensive. Why was Sebastian doing this? To show Kurt that he was truly sorry? Or was he interested in him? No never. Sebastian Smythe wouldn’t be interested in him. He returned his focus back onto the stage, where Sebastian was. He had missed the fight scene. Baby John was now crying. Kurt looked closer at Sebastian. His face looked genuinely sad. Who was he thinking of? He had to be thinking of someone or something to look that sad. Someone who he had loved. Someone who had passed away. No. It couldn’t be Blaine. Sebastian just wanted Blaine for his looks. He wanted Blaine as his ‘fuck buddy’. Blaine would have been someone who he would take advantage of and then leave him. Kurt shook the thought away from his mind and continued watching the play.
Kurt walked out of the theater into the lobby with a huge smile on his face, as he did with every musical that he saw. He took a deep breath, pinned his backstage pass to his jacket and walked towards the doors that led backstage. The security let him in quickly and led him down a hallway where the cast was. Apparently, Sebastian told them who Kurt was because they led him strait to Sebastian’s dressing room. Kurt knocked loudly and waited. Not wanting to barge in. He waited for about a minute before Sebastian opened the door. “So you came” He said leaning against the doorframe, smiling. “Yes, Sebastian. I came. I wouldn’t miss out on a chance to see one of my favorite musicals for free” Kurt said a bit coldly. Sebastian smirked. “You sure that’s not the only reason, Hummel?” Kurt felt the anger flare up inside of him. “No. I’m not sure. There’s another reason why I came to see the show” Kurt said calmly. Sebastian smiled. It was an evil sort of grin. Like the way he looked at Blaine. Like Kurt was a small child who he could take advantage of. “And what is that reason, Kurt?” he said pulling Kurt in by the strap of his bag and closing the door behind him. This caused Kurt to snap. “The reason is, you evil little meercat, that West Side Story reminds me of Blaine, my husband, when we did this play in high school. You were there, weren’t you, Sebastian?” he said sharply, spitting out his name.
“Well of course, that was before you threw a slushie at him that nearly BLINDED him and hospitalized him. You remember that. You heard his screams in that parking lot. You walked away, Sebastian. You made him suffer. Well. That was supposed to be me on the ground screaming. But Blaine jumped in front of me. You would never do that. You’re just a heartless asshole, Sebastian.” Kurt was yelling now. Sebastian was speechless taking in every word “You always have been. I thought that you had changed back in the graveyard. But I guess you haven’t. Bye, Sebastian. Great job tonight, by the way.” He said with tears forming in his eyes. He stormed out of the dressing room and ran to his car, ripping the backstage pass from his jacket and throwing it into the darkness. He climbed into his car and stayed there, taking deep breaths. What had he just done? He just screamed at Sebastian and then ran away. He started his car and headed to Dalton. He needed to talk to Nick and the Warblers.
