After dinner, I went home. Rachel was sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Hey." She said as I sat down. "Howd it go?"
"Blaine and I are dating." I replied happily.
"Kurt, Im so happy for you."
She gave me a hug. I went to my room. I changed into my pajamas and slid into bed.
The next day, I went into the living room and sat down on the couch to watch TV when I heard a knock on the door. I walked to the door and opened it to see my dad standing at the doorway.
"Dad!" I exclaimed as I went to hug him. Its been a while since Ive seen him. "Come in."
He came inside and I shut the door. We sat down on the couch.
"What brings you here?" I asked.
"I heard you got a new friend, Blaine." He replied.
"Yeah. Well, hes my boyfriend now." I said. "Did Rachel tell you?"
"Actually, the Andersons are sorta friends of mine." He said. "Theres something that Blaines parents and I need to talk to you boys about."
"Dad, if its the sex talk, I dont want to hear it."
"Dont worry. Its not that talk, yet." He said.
"Okay. Well I can invite them over."
My dad nodded and I grabbed my phone off of the table. I called Blaine. When he picked up, I got right to the point.
"Hey, my dad wants you and your parents to come over." I told him.
"Okay. Ill ask." I heard muffled sounds in the background before he came back. "They said yes. Well be over in a little bit."
"Okay. See you then." I ended the call.
A few minutes later, a knock came at the door. I went go greet them. I let them in and they sat on the couch.
"Now that theyre here, can you tell us what this is all about?" I asked my dad. He looked at Blaines parents before looking at me again.
"What Im about to tell you boys is going to be a shock." He said. I nodded for him to go on. "Well, you and Blaine were both born on the same day-"
"Wait, so were twins?!" I asked, horrified.
"No, let me finish. When you were born, we could tell that theyre was an instant connection between you two."
"How could you tell? We were just babies." I interrupted.
"It was a gift your mom had." He replied before going on."But things happened, and we had to separate you two. Sylvia gave you those necklaces to help you find each other."
"Did your necklaces get warm when you found each other?" Sylvia asked. Blaine and I nodded.
"So, Kurt and I are literally soulmates?" Blaine asked. Sylvia nodded.
There was silence before I spoke up again.
"You said things happened, what kind of things?"
"There were these siblings that were out to get you both. We had to take you guys somewhere where they wouldnt find you. We had to separate you because you we figured that they would find you easier if you were together." My dad explained.
My head was reeling at the thought that there were people out there who wanted to kill Blaine and I.
"How many of them are there?" Blaine asked.
"Two. Theyre brothers."
"I need to clear my head." I excused myself as I got up and went to the bathroom. I turned the shower on. I got undressed and stepped into the shower. I just stood under the shower head, letting the cold water run over my body, running my hands through my hair. Once I got myself collected, I stepped out of the shower, dried off and got dressed. I rejoined the group in the living room.
"Are you okay?" My dad asked, concerned.
"Im alright. It was just a lot of information to process. I needed a minute." I said, sitting back down on the couch.
"What are we going to do?" Blaine asked.
"When you were younger," James started, "we kept you two separated. Now that youre older we think you can defend yourselves. But you cant do it alone, you have to stay together."
"Blaine can live here with Rachel and I. Rachel can be extra protection. Dont let her appearance fool you, she can do anything she sets her mind to." I said.
"Okay, Ill just go home to get my stuff." Blaine said, wrapping his arms around me.
"Please hurry." I begged.
I couldnt even imagine if anything happened to Blaine. He chuckled and caressed my cheek.
"Ill be back as soon as possible." He turned towards the door and left.
"Are you gonna be okay here alone?" My dad asked.
"Yeah." I nodded. "You should probably get back home to Carole." He gave me a hug before he left.
