Chapter 18
Blaine carried a sleeping Kurt and sat him on a a bed he made out of blankets and pillows. Their real bed was packed away so they had to manage. Finally they had a place to there own! They could do anything they wanted without a parents permission.
Thank god for Boy Scouts or else they would be popsicles by morning. The power was off so Blaine managed to start a fire...Gosh he was so tired after driving for ten hours straight. He glanced at the clock wincing when he saw 12:00am. He quickly slipped into the bed he made and felt arms wrap around him.
"It was very nice of you to carry me in." Kurt yawned.
"I'm sorry sweetheart. Did I wake you?" Blaine asked flipping around pulling Kurt in tight.
"No! Not at all. I'm just..." Kurt looked lost for words. "I'm really excited!"
"Me too." Blaine grinned before yawning. "Go to bed baby. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow."
"Love you."
"Love you too."

Kurt woke to the sweet smell of food. God he can't even remember the last time he ate. Yesterday morning? His stomach let out a loud growl as he headed towards the kitchen.
"Hey you." Blaine grinned giving kurt the usual morning kiss. "I got us some McDonalds. Ya hungry?"
"Starved!" Kurt said frantically searching threw the bag for any type of food. He managed to get two breakfast burritos and his orange juice and sat next to Blaine on the floor. "It's kinda silly that were eating on the floor." Kurt grinned.
"Yeah it is." Blaine smiled back. "So I was thinking I could get the power/cable working today and we could start unpacking?"
"Sounds good to me!" Kurt chimed.

"Can you hand me the screw driver?"
"Um..." Kurt looked at verity of tools. Screw driver? Which one is the screw driver?! He had this! Oh yeah! "Here you go." Kurt said handing him the instrument.
"Thanks." Blaine smiled.
Kurt stood there whistling and swaying back and forth on his toes. "You know I can help too. I'm not helpless."
"How about you put the sheets on the bed? That would help." Blaine said working on the coffee table.
Kurt sighed. "Fine."
He wanted to do something more fun but it was better nothing. After unwrapped the Egyption cotton sheets he got at bed bath and beyond, he tucked them under each nook of the bed. He sat down the comforter and put pillow cases on. He wasn't gonna lie. It looked pretty good.
He went to throw out the trash but heard a very faint meow sound. Kurt raised an eyebrow looking back in the bedroom where he swore he heard the sound come from. He shrugged it off figuring it was nothing but, it happened again. Was he going insane? He looked under the bed. Nothing. In the bathroom? Nothing. Under the night stand? Nothing. The closet! He ran across the room and opened the French doors and there it was. Sure enough it was a kitten wrapped around with blankets. Kurt's eyes melted as he picked up the little orange kitten.
"Hey sweetie." He cooed. It was beyond adorable. It purred when you picked it up...He headed back to were Blaine was and threw out the trash.
Blaine was still concentrated on the coffee table. "Hey you got the sheets on the bed?"
"Yep!" Kurt replied.
"Good can you-woah!"
"What?" Kurt asked surprised.
"What is that?!" Blaine asked pointing to the orange fluff ball.
"Oh this? A kitten silly!"
"And why do you have it?"
"Found it in the closet." Kurt shrugged kissing it's pink little nose.
"Kurt! Can you not be so calm about this?! We need to get this to an animal shelter." Blaine said scooping it up.
Kurt felt his heart break. "No please!" Kurt begged. "He's my friend!"
"You've known it for only two minutes! We have to bring it to the animal shelter, honey so it can be adopted." Blaine explained. "He needs a loving family."
"We can be that loving family!" Tears began to well in his eyes. "Please Blaine!"
"No! Absolutely not. A kitten is the last thing we need right now."
"But Blaine he's my friend!" Kurt sobbed into his hands. "Please don't take him away. Please? I'll take care o-of him."
Blaine felt bad. The kitten was rather adorable? No. He needed to stand his ground. "Honey, I know you don't understand but, a kitten requires a lot of work and we really don't have the time right now in our lives. They poop and pee all over-"
"So if I pooped and peed all over would you get rid of me too?" Kurt sniffled.
Blaine chuckled before answering. "Of course not! I would probably get you a diaper first but, that's different."
"It doesn't seem that different to me."
Blaine let out a long sigh. How hard could a kitten be? Was he really considering this right now? "Well..."
"Well what?" Kurt urged.
"I guess we can-"
"YES!" Kurt hugged his fiancé as tight as possible. "thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU!" He squealed. "Hear that Tigger?! Welcome to the Hummel-Anderson's!"
"Tigger?" Blaine questioned.
"Yep!" Kurt gleamed Eskimo kissing the kitten.
"Oh boy...this should be fun."
