Chapter 17
Blaine slammed the trunk and headed back inside to say his goodbyes. He would miss the Hummel/Hudson's house. He hated to admit it but, he would actually kinda miss Lima Ohio. By no means was it a glamorous town but, it wasn't the worse place to grow up. He had so many memories here like the first time he met Kurt or the first time they kissed or made love. As much as he despised the place it would always be in his heart.
"Hey, take care of him." Burt said putting a hand on his shoulder.
"You don't have to worry about that." Blaine smiled.
Burt gave him a bear hug holding on for a couple of seconds longer. He had done so much for his son. Burt thought it was impossible for someone to love Kurt as much as he did but, Blaine proved him wrong. "You guys can always come back."
"Thank you." Blaine grinned before hugging a crying Carole.
"Blaine, sweetie, be careful ok?" She choked out.
Blaine laughed. "I will...Kurt are you ready?!" Blaine called upstairs but, there was no response.
"Oh, he wanted to say goodbye to his mother before you guys you know." Burt said opening the door. "It's the Lima memorial cemetery."
"Oh ok."
Blaine headed outside and gave them one last wave before pulling out of the drive way.

Blaine headed to the store picking up some pink roses before heading to the cemetery since Kurt always told him that pink was her favorite color. He pick a fresh bunch up smelling them before heading to the card section.
He looked at the different category cards wondering which be appropriate. Birthday? No. Thank you? No. Humorous? Defiantly not. He decided to go with blank figuring they could write something.
When checking out he spotted a big pink balloon and added it to his purchase.

The cemetery looked old. It was kept up to date but, on some of the head stones the writing wore off. It was pretty in a artistic way but it had to be ancient.
The wind wrapped around his face like vines trying to halt his steps as he approached the graveyard gates. It rattled the old black iron gates making them shake like the leaves that were pulled from the trees. It tossed up around Blaine blowing leaves at him, messing up his hair and wrinkling his clothes, like it was determined not to let him into the graveyard. Blaine continued forward ignoring the sharp coldness against his face.
He searched down the row of graves searching for any sign of Kurt. When he did finally found him, his heart stopped. Kurt's knees were pinned to his chest as he put his head in his chest.
"Kurt honey?" Blaine said sitting beside him.
Kurt looked up with big puffy red eyes and sat his head against his shoulder. "Sorry I just needed-"
"It's ok." Blaine said putting an arm around him.
"I miss her so much sometimes." Kurt said his voice cracking on the last word.
"Shhhhhh." Blaine cooed as Kurt whimpered into his chest. He couldn't imagine what it felt like to lose his mom. Especially at eight years old.
...Kurt's mom died of cancer. He would visit her every chance he got before she passed away. It would haunt him forever. He came running off the bus with a drawing he made for her in art that afternoon. He memorized her room by heart. #450. He looked around the room for his mommy who was normally in her bed but, not today. A nurse then came in with a somber look handing him her old clothes and saying the most painful words he had ever heard. "I'm so sorry..."
Kurt eventually came up again shivering. "I'm sorry-"
"Don't apologize." Blaine said rubbing his back. "It's ok."
They sat there for awhile not saying anything till Kurt noticed the roses. "What are those?"
"I got pink ones because I remember you telling me how much she loved it."
Kurt kissed him giving a smile. "That's really sweet of you. thank you."
"No problem." Blaine grinned warming up Kurt's cold hands. "I also bought this card and balloon thinking we could write a letter to your mom."
Kurt smiled but quickly faded. "But I don't know how to spell."
"That's ok. You can tell me what to write."
"Oh ok." Kurt leg out a long breath before beginning. "Dear mom, I miss you so much it physically hurts sometimes. I would give anything just to see your infectious smile once more. I love you so much and-and you will never know how much I love you. Those eight years while you were here, were the best years of my life. I can't wait to visit you in heaven one day. Love your son, Kurt."
Blaine felt like crying but he needed to be strong for Kurt. "Dear Mrs.Hummel, I have never meet you but, Kurt has told me wonderful things about you. I thank you for giving me the greatest gift humanly possible; the love of my life. I will love him, protect him, and put him him first no matter what. Love Blaine Anderson."
Blaine tied the balloon to the card watching it fly high in the sky instill it was pass the clouds.
