Chapter 14


"Blaine this is really hard." Kurt said trying to figure out where the next puzzle piece went. He was almost finished with it. He never actually finished a puzzle before. Well at least after the accident. 

"You can do it I, believe in you." Blaine encouraged putting a hand over his.

Kurt struggled with shapes after the accident. He would always seem to give up before he actually finished a puzzle. The doctor recommended 15 piece puzzles to start. puzzles were a good way to stretch the brain and improve thinking. 

Kurt let out a annoyed sigh. "Blaine I don't want to do this right now. My brain hurts."

"Come on baby! I know you can do it. You only have two pieces left!"

Kurt grabbed the puzzle knowing that it probably wouldn't fit but, magically it did. Kurt gasped placing the last on in it's place and smiled. "Blaine I finished it! I did it all by my self!"

It brought tears to Blaine's eyes. This meant that Kurt's thinking was getting better and that the surgery worked. Before, he couldn't even get two pieces linked but now he had solved the whole puzzle. "Wow honey I'm so proud of you!" Blaine raced over and scooped up his fiancé as Kurt giggled into his neck. "You are so smart!"

Kurt furrowed an eyebrow. "Why are you crying Blaine? It makes me sad when you cry." Kurt's lower lip began to tremble.

"No! No, sweetheart these are happy tears!" Blaine giggled giving him a quick kiss. 

"Oh!" Kurt smiled. "Are you proud of me?" Kurt knew he was but, he just wanted to hear it again.

Blaine nodded. "Of course I am! I told you that. Gosh, honey you have no idea. I'm gonna get this framed and we can put it in our house when we buy one."

Kurt had a huge grin on. 

"This calls for celebrating!" Blaine said picking up the his phone. "Let's have a pizza party."

Kurt gasped as he put his head in the hook of Blaine neck. "Yay!"

"Hello? Um yes...one extra large pepperoni pizza, an extra large cheese, and a small veggie. Yeah that's all. Thank you bye." Blaine put his phone in his pocket and kissed the side of Kurt's face were he could see it. 

"Your neck smells like candy." Kurt licked his neck. "It doesn't taste like candy though."

Blaine laughed "I would hope not."

Kurt looked up at his fiancé and smiled. "I'm so happy you proposed to me."

"Me too." Blaine grinned playing with the ring on Kurt's finger.

"Your such a good guy Blaine. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

Blaine smiled pulling him tight into his chest. "Me too sweetheart; me too."
