Chapter 12

Kurt yawned as he blinked his eyes open. The room was silent except for the occasional beep from whatever machine was on. He felt a pair of arms around him and turned around to face no other but, Blaine. He was asleep. 

"Blaine are you in there?" Kurt asked opening one of his eye lids trying to see if Blaine had fallen into some sort of deep slumber like in Snow White or Sleeping Beauty.

Blaine yawned opening his eyes slowly. He laughed kissing his forehead. "Yes sweetie, what are you doing up so late? It's 3 am!" He asked groggily.

Kurt shrugged cutely. "I haven't had my bed time story yet. You know I can't go to bed without it."

Kurt was so damn cute he couldn't resist it. "Oh fine but a quick one. Here, snuggle into my chest so you can fall asleep." Blaine ran his fingers threw Kurt's thick chestnut mane an attempt to make him sleepy. "Once upon a time lived a prince named Kurt Hummel..."

Kurt looked up at him smiling shyly. "But, that's my name! I'm no prince."

"Your a prince in my eyes."

Kurt got a little teary eyed at the complement. After all Kurt's been through and he still thinks he's a prince? Kurt gave him a sweet kiss.

"What was that for?"

"Loving me." Kurt said full of emotion. "Loving me unconditionally even when I need a bedtime story or when I act like I'm five years old. Kinda like right now." Kurt let out a dry chuckle.

"Hey, there's nothing wrong with that." Blaine gently scorned. "I don't mind. I wouldn't have it any other way." 

Kurt snuggled as tight as possible into Blaine. "I love you so much."

"I love you too."

"Blaine can you stay with me today?"

"I can't sweetie you know that."

Kurt huffed. "I know but, I miss you so much when you go to school. What am I going to do in a hospital?"

"Sleep." Blaine yawned drifting back to sleep.

Blaine raced off the bus to get to the hospital to visit Kurt. He bought him a big teddy bear and roses. Blaine smiled nicely at the lady at the front desk who recognized him by now.

"Hi Blaine." She grinned.

"Hi Mrs.Barrett. How are you today?"

"Fine thanks for asking."

Blaine eagerly pressed the elevator button listening to the elevator music on the way up humming occasionally. He walked down what seemed like endless white hallways stopping in front of room #143. Blaine knocked before popping his head in. "Hey you."

"Finally!" Kurt groaned. "Geez I was gonna text you but, I couldn't spell anything...Aw Blaine, sweetie, you didn't need to get me all that." Kurt said smiling as Blaine sat down the vase of roses. 

"Of course I did." Blaine smiled making a kissing sound as the plush bears nose made contact with Kurt's forehead. 

"Thank you!" 

"Your welcome." Blaine said pulling up a chair and lacing his fingers with Kurt's.

"So, how was school?" Kurt asked resting his head back on the pillows. "I missed you like crazy."

"Boring as usual." He said rolling his eyes. "Glee club was fun. I was picked for the New Rachel thing I told you about."

Kurt gasped kissing his hand. "Wow I'm so proud of you! I knew they would pick you."

Blaine blushed smiling. "Thanks baby."

"Really Blaine this is great and you still haven't given me a kiss!"

Blaine grinned before pressing a cute kiss to Kurt's lips.
