Chapter 3: 2 Welcome To McKinley
Kurt
Everything was good for the rest of the first week. Blaine didn't talk that much, Kurt hoped it was because they had just met and not some kind of reputation thing.
Kurt walked into school Monday morning and saw Blaine by the lockers. Kurt walked to lockers since his was right there too.
"Morning" Kurt greeted
No reply.
"How was your weekend?" Kurt tried
Blaine looked over at him, but stayed silent. Maybe he just doesn't want to talk right now...
Kurt continued to get his books from his locker. If Blaine didn't want to talk why waste his breathe right? He had all of his books ready for the first half of the day. He closed his locker and turned around to see Blaine staring at him as if waiting for something.
"Yes..?"
"Homeroom?"
"Oh yea lets go"
They walked to homeroom and to the rest of their classes the first half of the day. Then there was lunch. All last week Kurt had sit with Blaine but now he didn't know what to do.
Blaine
The first week was hard to deal with. Kurt was always with him which he didn't mind of course. What he did mind was all the Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores looking at him weird. God, Can't a guy like someone and be nice to them if he has a rep?! Sometimes the student body of McKinley made him madder at people.
Last week he had just tried to keep his talking to a minimum. Kurt had noticed, of course. The first day they met he talked a lot after that shutting out more and more. He didn't think Kurt new about his reputation in this town; he was going to end up finding out sooner or later.
When he saw Kurt at lunch he was almost positive he was going to sit with him. Kurt then turned out of the cafeteria with his tray. Where is he going? Library? He looked around, and then something accrued to him. Where are Amizio and Karofsky? This made Blaine forget about his lunch altogether. He got up and started walking towered the library thinking with his gut that's where Kurt was headed. Then he heard the bang of locker doors. Blaine started sprinting down the hallway.
Blaine stopped when he saw Amizio and Karofsky together huddled around Kurt, who was on the ground.
"Hey dude, what should we do with the fairy over here" Karofsky asked his teammate
"I don't know maybe a swirly, drench him in slushy's, then let him have a dumpster dive?" Amizio replied
"Yea that sounds good. We never did give this one a McKinley High Welcome!" the boy agreed
"TAKE ANOTHER STEP TOWERED HIM AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS!" Blaine yelled from down the hallway making his way towered them.
"What Anderson? Is this your fag?" Karofsky said lifting Kurt up from the floor by his shirt.
Kurt's face was red and had tears running down it. The sight made Blaine's heart break and got even more pissed at the bullies.
"I SAID GET AWAY FROM HIM" Blaine yelled in Karofsky's face
Karofsky let go of Kurt while him an Amizio surrounded Blaine. Blaine didn't care at the moment all he knew was he was going to make them pay for this. Blaine drew his fist back in seconds it was collided with Karofsky's face. The bully stumbled back wincing in pain. Blaine might be small but he knows how to fight. Amizio, who was behind him, grabbed his arms. Blaine turned around in the boys hold and kicked him. He didn't care where, though he secretly hoped he hit him right in the balls. When Blaine looked he saw him clutching his knee. Damn.
Blaine turned back around and saw Kurt standing there with a horrified look on his face and hand to his mouth. Karofsky walked over to his teammate helping him up.
"This isn't over lady boys!" he yelled over his shoulder.
Blaine shook his head. "Are you okay?"
"Uh...yea, I guess. W-why did you help me?" Kurt asked in shock
"Huh? Did you really just ask that?" Blaine asked kind of feeling confused
"In Dalton, I never had to deal with... Anything like that. They had some kind of no bully policy. Kids still didn't like me and still talked about me but no one stood up for me. Why did you?"
Blaine huffed out a sigh he didn't know what to say- truth or lie. He went with an instinct. "Karofsky's an asshole has been since 1st grade thought I showed him to leave me alone a while ago. Guess it didn't work." It wasn't a total lie. Karofsky was an asshole since 1st grade. Blaine did show him to leave him alone. What Blaine didn't say was Kurt was bullied by the football because he was gay. Didn't say that he thought Kurt shouldn't be bullied even when he see's many people in this school bullied almost everyday. Too soon for that. Too soon.
"Oh" Kurt said nodding his head "Thank You" looking into Blaine's eyes
"Yea, well we kind of missed lunch and the bells about to ring. I'll walk you to the lockers." Blaine said not knowing what to say to a thank you.
They were at their lockers when Kurt spoke up. " How do you feel about Glee Club? I was in it in my old school, and we actually lost to the New Directions once. Do you know if there are open auditions?"
"You want to join that club?" Blaine asked in shock
"Yea I was thinking about it. I mean I love singing and theater..." Kurt replied
"Oh well you just have to talk to the teacher Mr. Shuester to have a time set to audition I think." Blaine answered
"Okay. Cool thanks Blaine." Kurt said before walking to class
Blaine sat there thinking, Kurt says thanks a lot! But I wonder how good he sings? He looks really good in those pants today...No time for that Blaine! God. Kurt is going to do things to him this year.
