Author's Notes:

So tell me what you think? This is my first fic, so idk what Im doing haha. Should I continue?

Blaine loved challenges. However pregnancy was one of the hardest ones hes ever experienced.

He hated the judgmental glares he received daily. He loathed how people glared at his ringless finger and swollen abdomen. Most of all, he hated how he was going through this alone. Sure, he had his parents and Cooper for support, but its not like they could be there for him all the time. His parents were in Lima and Cooper had a full time job in LA. Blaine knew he was lucky to have his family, but it was the little things they couldnt do like fulfill every midnight craving or be there during his sonograms. Blaine didnt want them to do that anyway. He already tried that when Tina offered to assist him at one of his birthing classes, but that just lead to more disapproving looks and awkward questions.

No one else could do those things besides a partner which Blaine did not have. It was silly to get all worked up about such petty things but for the first time he was feeling really alone. He knew he had to get over it knowing his love life was going to be at a screeching holt for a while. Raising a child in New York City was his main priority now, and his main goal was to give this child his absolute love and dedication with or without a partner.

Overall Blaine was done with the pregnancy considering he was so FREAKING huge and uncomfortable. Each passing day his wardrobe became more and more limiting considering only a select few items would stretch to accommodate his protruding midsection. He would buy more clothes, but he had no money. He always knew a baby wasnt going to be cheap, but he no idea exactly how much a toddler really was and the only way to deal with the expense was to work later hours, and his body was suffering from it. He didnt even want to think of his body right now. Every time he stood in front of his long length mirror he got the urge to lock himself up for no one to see....but that was the least of his problems.

He was going to be a dad and that scared the shit out of him.

By the time Audrey was actually born, Blaine was finished. Dont get him wrong he loved his little girl, but he never wanted to experience pregnancy again. He had his fun and now it was over and he was fine with that.

Nothing could have prepared him for the amount of fatigue he was feeling. No but honestly the utter lack of energy amazed him. It seemed like his mind was on auto pilot. When he wasnt sleeping he was heating up a bottle or changing diapers. Blaine didnt even realize he was doing these things from time to time and was lucky he was actually functioning and actually getting things done. He was just glad Audrey was an overall descent baby and took solid naps. However, she was very fussy which Blaine didnt really know how to deal with and often times it was a battle to get her to sleep.

Today was no exception.

Audreys loud cries echoed off the apartment walls jolting Blaine awake from his short nap. He slowly maneuvered his way out of bed heading to the kitchen to warm a bottle. Blaine nearly threw up when seeing his reflection through the glass microwave. He was a compete and utter mess. He quickly looked away and grabbed the milk testing it on his wrist as he shuffled his way to the nursery.

"Hey baby girl, shhhhh daddys got you now." He cooed as he slowly slid the bottle into her mouth. However, instead of latching on like she normally did Audrey had different plans. She squirmed and fused in till her face became a dark red. Blaine swore her cries could wake the dead.

Blaine practically threw the bottle and frantically moved her to the changing pad. "Hey now, whats wrong, angel?...Are you wet?" He unfasined her nappy however it was dry. Blaine bit his lip in confusion. Not hungry and not wet which meant...gassy perhaps? It was worth a shot. He removed the screaming infant from the changing bed and cradled her in an up right position as he swayed back and forth in the rocking chair his mom bought him. How he wish his parents were here right now to show him how to do this.

"Alright, I know baby, I know." He comforted as he gently patted her back. It took a while, but she finally gave up. Audrey whimpered once more, rubbing her face against Blaines shoulder before finally relaxing against him. "There we go princess. No need to yell your ok." He murmured while still, patting her back. Blaine slowly removed himself from the rocking chair and grabbed her bottle in attempt to feed her now that she was calm.

Blaine couldnt help, but think how much easier his life would be if there was someone to here help him. He wouldnt have to get up each time the baby screamed. He could maybe take a longer nap or perhaps take a shower. He would have someone to bond with and understand what he is going through. Thats all Blaine wanted, someone to understand how hard being a single parent is in the city. He knew he wasnt the only one, but he had a whole new level of respect for them.

The door bell stirred Blaine from his thoughts. He wasnt going to risk taking the bottle away from the fussy infant so they both were going to make the trip to the door.

The first thing Blaine registered was light from his stupid porch lamp. He cringed trying to preserve his eyes/sight. Bitterly, he squinted trying to make out a figure.

"Blaine? Hey its Kurt." The boy giggled.

Blaine quickly tried shielding his eyes. "Oh geez Kurt, sorry Im a mess." He apologized clearly embarrassed at the whole situation. Blaine felt he was going insane. Was it weird he found another human being so interesting? God he was beautiful unlike himself. Honestly, if Blaine didnt know any better he would mistake him for some sort of angel. He knew that he was staring, but he didnt care. It was worth the awkwardness.

Kurt felt bad for Blaine. He truly was a mess. His eyes were a deep purple and his hair stuck out in several different positions. He looked like he hadnt changed out of that robe in days.  Kurt laughed as he stared at the little baby in Blaines arms. He knew Blaine was pregnant, but he actually forgot what came after it. She was gorgeous just like her daddy. She resembled him so much.

"Sorry was she disturbing you? Sorry, Kurt Im just trying to get into the swing of things-"

"Oh gosh, no Blaine!" Kurt said with a sympathetic smile. "I was down getting the mail and I saw your box was full so I thought Id grab it for you. You werent bothering me at all, I promise." He reached into his bag and handed him the numerous letters to prove his point.

Blaine eyes widened with realization. Shit he had forgot all about his bills. Great now Kurt probably thought he was irresponsible parent. "Dammit," Blaine cussed as he flipped through his stack of mail. "I forgot all about these." He said in a panic.

"Blaine relax your going to give yourself a heart attack. I can watch her if you want while you take care of that." The boy said gently.

Blaine raised an eyebrow. Why would Kurt want to help him? They were basically strangers besides the casual wave or small talk before Blaine head out to work. He knew Kurt was a good person, but he just didnt understand why someone would just randomly offer to help, especially a hot young man on a Saturday afternoon.

"Kurt thats very kind of you, but you dont know what your getting into-"

"Blaine, I know you probably think Im crazy, but I have nothing else to do anyways. Please?"

Blaine swore Kurts smile could cure cancer. How could he deny his help? After all, he had been wishing for someone to just watch the baby so he could clean. "Thank you Kurt, really. You can leave whenever you feel like it ok?" Blaine said trying to burp the baby. "Im sorry the place is such a mess."

"Blaine you had just had a baby." Kurt laughed. "Its ok I promise." He looked over at the other man and frowned at the tears welling in Blaines eyes. "What is it?" Did Blaine not want him here? Was he over stepping? "Im sorry-"

"No, its not you its just this is a lot harder then I thought ya know?" He placed Audrey in her little swing hoping she would stay asleep for a while and began picking up the dirty clothes surrounding his apartment. "I knew it was going to be hard, but nothing could prepare me for this." He said trying to reach for the soiled burp rag below the couch. "Thank you, Kurt honestly nobody, not even my family has offered to help."

Kurt grabbed the dirty clothing items out of his hands and put them in a near by hamper. "Blaine, stop you look exhausted." Kurt said rubbing his hand soothingly on Blaines arm. "Ill pick this up, you go take a shower and rest."

"No, Kurt that isnt fair-"

"Blaine its ok I promise. I want to do this remember? Dont worry if she begins to cry Ill bring her to you ok?" Blaine looked at him doubtfully. "Blaine please, whats the last solid meal youve had?"

"...five hour energy?"

"Ok bye," Kurt said pushing him down to the bathroom. "I promise its not a problem at all."

Blaine didnt know if leaving his newborn with a stranger was the smartest idea, but if he didnt have some alone time he knew he was going to have a mental break down. Plus he trusted Kurt. Its not like he was a complete stranger. Blaine felt weird. Why was his heart rate speeding up? He felt the butterflies in his stomach and knew what this was. "Oh no..." He murmured to himself. Kurt didnt like him right? He was only being nice. Why did he always have to make it into something more? "Hes just a friend."

When Blaine woke up the first thing he noticed was it was night time. "Shit!" He said frantically removing the covers from his bed. He quickly ran down the hall and heard complete silence.

"Your awake."

Blaine snapped his gaze over to Kurt who was flipping through an old magazine on the couch. "Oh thank god." He said flopping down next to him when realizing the baby was perfectly intact and content. "I thought you left and- the apartment is clean." He quickly changed the subject and walked into the kitchen with wide eyes. "Kurt this smells amazing what is this?"

"Its just some spaghetti I made for you." Kurt grinned.

"Oh Kurt," Blaine sniffled. "You didnt have to do this." He said hugging the taller man. "Thank you so, so much you have no idea how much this means to me, to us!" Blaine corrected heading back into the living room to lift the sleeping baby from her swing. "How can I pay you back?"

"Blaine its fine." Kurt was happy to see that the boy finally was looking decent again. His once pale skin was now replace with his typical olivey tone. His hair was still bushy, but not like it had been, and his robe was swapped with an plan tee and some grey sweat pants. "You look a 1000 times better Blaine. Its amazing what a shower and some rest can do." He meant it. Blaine looked amazing like his normal self. He was so stunningly handsome without even trying.

"Let me take you out to dinner!" Blaine wasnt even thinking. It came out spontaneously. He wanted to smack himself in face right then and there. Was Kurt even gay? What if he already had a relationship? Blaine didnt even know Kurts favorite color! They barley knew each other. Not that it mattered anyway, what was he thinking?! Kurt probably didnt want him. Kurt was beautiful and charismatic. What did Blaine have to offer?

"Ah Blaine um-"

"Sorry that was inappropriate, I shouldnt of said that-"

"Blaine I would, but I cant."

Blaine saw the other boy struggle. It was clear something was wrong and eating away at him. "What do you mean you cant?"

"Blaine, I-Im...Im pregnant."

Silence

Kurt looked up and saw Blaine gaped mouth. He really did like Blaine, but he was going to be a father himself and Blaine was already bombarded he surely didnt want that plopped on him. "I think I should go." Kurt said grabbing his jacket.

"No!" Blaine said jerking from his thoughts. "Kurt thats ok, that not an issue at all. I think that would be sort of hypocritical and rude of me, dont you?" Blaine said shifting the sleeping baby in his arms.

Kurts smile slowly slipped into a frown. "Blaine I just dont know what to do. Let me be clear I like you...a lot. Ive liked you for a long time." Kurt let out a deep breath. "I just, this thing kinda just happened and I have no idea what Im doing. I was so drunk and lonely and I know this makes me sound like a big whore, but I just sorta did it. I didnt know what I was doing and it was my first time and I was so stupid Blaine!" He said looking at his hands in his lap. "I like you Blaine, but your already swamped with the baby. I think you deserve more."

Blaines heart broke for the boy. He knew exactly what Kurt was feeling because thats how he felt majority of the time. "Kurt your not a big whore, not at all." Blaine said grabbing one his hands. The fact that Kurt felt like he wasnt any good was completely mind blowing. Kurt was stunning and even more importantly, a good person. "Im not going to judge you. I know exactly how you feel." Blaine let out a sigh. "Pregnancy is absolute terrifying. Even if you need somebody to talk to, Kurt I can help you. Gosh I wish there was someone for me when I was pregnant. I had to go through it alone and I dont want that for anyone."

They fell into another silence.

"Yes."

Blaine looked up. "What?"

"I will go to dinner with you."

Blaine felt his heart flutter. He couldnt believe this was happening. Something he wanted so desperately was in reach and he didnt even have to look very far. All he wanted was to share the rest of his life with someone. Maybe he was thinking to much about it? After all it was just a date, but Blaine felt something hes never experience with anyone else before...and he liked it. "Next Saturday at 12:00? I know this little breakfast place we can go."

"Sounds great." Kurt beamed before giving the shorter man a hug. It felt kinda awkward considering he was holding Audrey and everything, but right nonetheless. "See you then."

"Ok, bye."

"Bye."
