Author's Notes: Kurt got quite the backstory in my head. Maybe not all too understandable but you´ll find out soon. :) Everyone has their own secrets, hun ?

Spying. Lying. Hurting. Killing. These were things Kurt Hummel was quite used to. He didn´t knew how life was living with passion, honesty and love. Or rather he didn´t remember the time he experienced living like that. He was a killer and he was okay with it.

Until the very day he met Blaine Anderson.
They kept spending time together. Much time.
Going to coffee shops, seeing a movie or two, talking about art and music or even books.
Kurt Hummel didn´t realize how much he began to enjoy Blaine´s presence and he kept being reluctant to fulfill his assignment.

It was one of these evenings they spent together. They sat on the couch in Blaine´s apartment discussing the new episode of “New Girl”.
“I swear… she and Nick will get together in the end.” Blaine said with a wide grin on his face.
“I think Jess really is kind of dumb.” Kurt just blurted out.
“She´s not dumb! She´s honest, Kurt! I thought you liked honest people, hun ?” he grinned and Kurt froze for a minute. This topic kept coming up all the time. Honesty.

Before Kurt could answer his phone buzzed and Kurt pulled it from the pocket in his pants. He swallowed hard when he saw who called.
“Would you excuse me for a moment ?” he asked and forced himself to smile.
“Sure.” Blaine said and was kinda confused by Kurt´s forced expression, but shrugged nonetheless.
Kurt got up and locked himself up in Blaine´s small bathroom. His phone was still buzzing and so he answered the call.

(8:54 pm) ~Incoming Call~

Foxy
“Where the hell ARE you?”
Black Bird
“That shouldn´t be of your interest.”
Foxy
“We´ve got a bunch of assignments here, Black Bird.  Why does this one take so long?”
Black Bird
“Well, I´ll do it my way or I´ll drop it. If you´re not satisfied with me…that´s your problem.”
Foxy
“Don´t talk to me like that, Hummel. You have to do what I say and you can´t just drop out. You know that.”
Black Bird
“And I told you not to call me that.”
Foxy
“It´s who you are, Kurt Hummel. And now tell me how it´s going with your assignment.”
Black Bird
“It should be done in …the next few days.”
Foxy
“What´s wrong, Black Bird? You never acted this way. You´re the best assassin we have – don´t screw this one up, okay? It´s an important client who requested this. So I´ll give you 36 hours.”
Black Bird
“I got it. I´ll get back to you later.”

Kurt hung up and swallowed hard. An important client. 36 hours.
And of course Kurt Hummel knew that he couldn´t drop out so easily. Not from this assignment and not from the whole organization. He realized how stuck he was when he heard what happened to his team-mate Mike Chang last winter. It was a tragic occurrence and Kurt forbid himself to think about it instantly.

He breathed in and out and tried to focus. Okay, he needed this to be done. Within the next 36 hours. Tomorrow evening would be the day. And Kurt Hummel already had an idea how to turn off the light in these amber eyes. The thought made him sick to his stomach, but it couldn´t be helped.

A gentle knock on the door made Kurt flinch.
“Kurt, is everything okay?” Blaine asked and Kurt instantly bit his lower lip.
“Y-Yes… everything´s alright.” He answered and opened the bathroom door to look into these concerned amber eyes.
“I´m sorry. I didn´t want to eavesdrop, but I was worried. And I didn´t hear much! I swear!”
This made Kurt smile. He knew Blaine for nearly 2 weeks now and he grew to like him so much. Way TOO much. He never felt like that about one of his target subjects before. Because he was the best in his profession. Until now.

They returned to the couch in the living room.
“Are you serious that everything is okay?” Blaine demanded and watched Kurt carefully and concerned at the same time.
“Just some stupid thing about …my ex.” Another lie.
“You´re not the only one who has secrets.” Kurt whispered and winked at him which made Blaine smile.
Kurt should have become an actor. He would be brilliant in this profession. Because right now he was acting. A role he hated.
“May I ask you what happened?”
“…..”
“You don´t have to tell me, if you don´t want to!” Blaine reassured him and panic showed up in his amber puppy-dog eyes.
“It´s okay… it´s quite similar to the story you experienced. Sam just won´t accept that my feelings have changed.”
“Sam as in…Samantha?” Blaine asked curious and Kurt had to smile.
“No. Sam as in Sam. The male version.” Kurt confessed and was relieved that this wasn´t even THAT big of a lie. His ex-boyfriend WAS called Sam… but this was nearly 4 years ago. The day Kurt joined the organization.
“Oh...what about the thing you need to get done then? If it isn´t too rude to ask.”
Kurt swallowed hard. He couldn´t just say ‘Oh I need to get you killed or I´m the next on their list.’ so he had to dug deeper in his mesh of lies.

“Well, I just sent in the papers for our divorce…and he´s still complaining about some little things.. and it isn´t so easy. He still wants me back. The whole thing is just annoying to deal with.”

Blaine´s mouth dropped open.
“You´re….married ?!” he asked astonished and Kurt nodded.
“But you´re just… 22.”
“I know... spare me the talk, Anderson. I know it was a stupid mistake and I have to deal with the aftermath now.”
“Hmm… I´m sorry it didn´t work out with you two.”
Kurt looked up and nodded. He never got to ask Sam the question, even though he thought about it back then. But now wasn´t time to be sentimental.
“How about going out tomorrow ? It´s Saturday and I could use a good drink and some dancing.” Kurt suggested and smiled his lovely smile, so that Blaine couldn´t help but smile himself.
“Sounds awesome! I´m in!”
Kurt got up and took his bag from the floor.
“Well, I should go now. See you tomorrow then ?!”
Blaine nodded and had this huge smile on his face.
Kurt forbid himself to think about how adorable Blaine looked when he smiled and turned around to leave the apartment.
“Bye.” he said without turning around and when he closed the door behind him, he breathed deeply and hoped he hadn´t only said ‘Bye’ to Blaine but also to the feelings he experienced right now in this moment.

End Notes: So..what do you think ? Anything you want them to experience? And don´t worry..smut & fluff will come... we´re simply not there yet ;)

Hello, I like your story very very much!!! It's original, and I appreciate the way you insert details of Kurt and Blaine showed in glee in another way that blends fully with your scenario and your plot. I understood english is not your mother language, but it doesn't appear clearly while reading the story. Just some mistakes here and there, especially in chapter 2, but no big deal! I'd like to offer myself as a beta, but I don't know if you really need one, you've been doing good so far. Hope you'll consider me if you never need help!Waiting for next chapter, bye!!

ahhhh i just really want this to update so i can read it and be filled with joy. this story is very goood so far. :)
