Saturday morning was a nightmare in that even though Kurt had his own bathroom Finn came stomping in and said “Dude you got to get up we have to get to the Mall.” Kurt looked over to his clock which read 6:30 am.  “Finn if you don’t leave me alone right now I will change you into something and then leave you here!” Finn looked at Kurt horrified that he could or would actually do something like that but took the hint and bolted for the door.

Kurt slept for a further ¾ hour before his alarm went off and he hit the snooze button for another 15 minutes lay-in it was Saturday and his first time home in nearly two weeks.  Then, the alarm buzzed again and this time he shut it off and got up.  Stretching lazily and headed for the shower getting ready for later that morning and his date with Blaine and all his other friends.  Once he was showered he chose his outfit of skinny jeans and ‘Vivian Westwood’ white shirt combined with a skinny blue tie and a waistcoat.  He looked at himself in the full length mirror and preened at the reflection he looked rather good if he thought so himself, grabbing his ‘White’ Doc Martin boots to finish off the look he sauntered downstairs to the smell of carol cooking breakfast.

He entered through the kitchen door and his dad said “Hey kiddo! How did you sleep and you can’t turn your brother into anything!” glaring at Kurt at the last part of his sentence, while Kurt giggled, but said he wouldn’t do anything like that. Kurt then explained why he had said that and Burt and Carol smiled at Kurt, and at how he got Finn to leave him be to sleep in longer.

Kurt ate his pancakes that Carol had prepared and asked if he wanted anything else he said no and did they want him to help clear the dishes.  Carol shook her head and pointed to the door to go sit in the lounge to relax and wait till Finn and he were to leave for the Mall.

Kurt made his way into the lounge and felt his pocket buzz from his cell, he looked at the message that had come through and smiled. 

‘Hey beautiful you already umm, change of plan I can come over to yours if you want? ;D B’

Kurt looked up to see Burt and Carol looking over to him and then he blushed pink, which made Burt suspicious.  Carol asked “Who was that Kurt?” secretly realising that he had a boyfriend but wanted confirmation.  Kurt replied “Umm, well you know the boy Blaine, well he and I are kind of together”, Kurt bit his lower lip as his Dad said “How together do you mean Kurt?” Kurt looked at his family and smiled “Boyfriend together Dad!” Carol shrieked with joy “Oh that’s wonderful Kurt! So when do we meet him?” at that Burt raised an enquiring eyebrow himself.

“Well judging by the last text I received this morning before going to the mall” Kurt supplied then started texting Blaine back as he had another message asking ‘Kurt? R U up yet???B’  Kurt then text Blaine back saying 10am would be okay and that his family wanted to meet him.

Blaine text back saying okay and would see him then, Kurt could hardly wait as he looked over to the clock and saw it was now only 8:55 am he had an hour and 5 minutes to wait.  Burt sat down in his recliner and switched on the TV watching the morning news items and catching up on the sport.  Burt looked over to his son and said “Kurt do I need to get my shotgun out?” Kurt laughed but realised his Dad was being serious “DAD don’t be ridiculous we are taking things slow we have only just agreed to go out and this will technically be our first date… mumbling saying it was just supposed to be them but everyone invited themselves along so…”  Carol laughed lightly and told Burt to stop teasing Kurt saying to Kurt “Sweetie he doesn’t mean it …” looking pointedly at Burt “he is just being your Dad”

Burt went back to watching the news and then switched over to the sports channel with an old playoffs game being broadcast.  Finn came down then and looked at Kurt still slightly terrified he would turn him into something awful and he wouldn’t be able to see Rachel anymore and really he wanted to see her sooo badly to hold her.  Kurt broke Finn’s goofy look-into-space expression and said “Finn you know I was just joking alright about changing you into something okay, you kind of woke me up too early this morning.”

Finn regarded his brother for a moment and the smiled saying “Cool Bro!” and then changed subject “So when are we going to the mall?” Kurt explained that Blaine was coming over to pick him up and to meet everyone before heading to the mall.  He remembered to text Blaine not to mention anything about the luncheon booking for all of them, as he wanted to surprise his old friends from McKinley high.  Finn looked a bit flummoxed by Kurt’s information about his Boyfriend then shrugged his shoulders and looked at the TV where Burt was watching the game.

Soon enough Kurt heard a car pull up at the kerb and saw Blaine get out of his car, an Audi A5 Quattro TDI Sports in Black with Steel rimmed trims.  Blaine looked like the prep boy that he was in his moleskin blazer with a black T-shirt, neutral coloured jumper, red coloured chinos trousers and with loafers, he approved the look as stylish with a certain ‘Blaine’ flair.  Then went to answer the door as Blaine knocked on it, as Kurt opened the door Blaine turned around from looking out onto the street and said “Wow! Kurt you look amazing. Hi “as he took in Kurt, then lent in to give him a quick kiss on his lips before anyone could see. Kurt blushed but spoke “You look nice too I approve of your style Mr Anderson” before leaning in and kissing Blaine back but more deeply than Blaine had done.  Blaine gulped after that kiss and turned scarlet when he heard a voice saying “In here you two”.  Kurt rolled his eyes at his Father’s orders but Blaine had come somewhat prepared and went right on over with his hand extended in front of him and said “Hello Sir! My name is Blaine, Blaine Anderson” and then Burt shook Blaine's offered hand in a firm shake and allowing the boy to take control of it. Then Burt said “I’m no-one’s Sir Blaine you can call either Burt or Mr Hummel” Blaine nodded and Carol asked if she could take his coat, which Blaine took off and handed to her saying his thanks after being introduced to her and Finn, they sat in a comfortable silence for a moment before Blaine said “You have a beautiful home here” looking at Carol and then Burt.  Burt snorted but Carol said “Why thank you Blaine it’s what we like” Blaine agreed and said “It has a warm homely feel to it” then Carol turned to Kurt and whispered “Oh this one’s a keeper I like him” Kurt smiled then Burt asked “Do like sports bud?” as Blaine answered affirmative and started watching the game with Finn and Burt while Kurt and Carol got up to make some Coffee and tea for everyone before they left for the mall.  Kurt was listening in on the conversation coming from the lounge as Blaine recognised the game and started calling the plays which he knew his father would be impressed with and sure enough they were arguing friendly over which team was the better.  Then Carol said “Kurt it’s ready can you get the door for me” and then they both re-entered the lounge and everyone was served their beverage.

In no time at all 10:30 came and Blaine said that they should really be making their way over to the mall to meet up with the others.  Blaine then asked Finn if he wanted a lift but he said he was going over to pick Rachel up and that they were meeting everyone over at the mall.

Kurt and Blaine said their goodbyes to Kurt’s parents and then left to get into Blaine’s car, opening Kurt’s door for him before jogging back around to the driver’s side.  He started the car and said “Ready?” Kurt just nodded and waved to his Dad and step-Mom on the doorstep.

As Burt and Carol waved Kurt goodbye, Burt said “That is one rich boy with that car” Carol nodded and went inside.

Blaine parked, got out rushing around to the passenger side but Kurt had already jumped out and was standing looking at Blaine with a smirk on his lips as Blaine complained “Kurt I wanted to open the door for you, your my date remember” pouting slightly and gave Kurt his puppy-dog eyed look.  Kurt laughed at Blaine and poked his tongue out but quickly got back in and shut the door smiling at Blaine’s beaming response.  Then he opened Kurt’s door and made an extravagant bow as Kurt go out for the second time.

Unbeknown to the two they were being watched by Nick and Jeff who decided to walk over to them laughing at Kurt and Blaine’s antics.  They had the decency to blush and ask how long Nick and Jeff had been looking at them, to which Jeff replied “We saw the whole thing….. hahahaha!” breaking into laughter at Blaine’s reaction to that news that he had been caught out.

Nick said “No worries boys now who’s for getting inside?” the others quickly fell into step after Blaine locked the car and entered the mall.

“So, where first?” Blaine asked in general but Kurt had a predatorial look on his face and smiled hooking Blaine towards the long line of designer shops saying “Blaine just come along I need a few things”  Jeff and Nick looked at one another and before they could make their own escape Kurt called “You two as well” laughing as they looked crest-fallen.

½ hour into Kurt shopping the other three boys came to the realisation of shopping with Kurt and vowed that they would never do it again.  Kurt looked over to the boys heavily burdened with bags and took pity on them saying “Come on let’s take this back to the car then we can meet the others for our luncheon” the boys sighed and Kurt laughed at their reactions.

Later, they joined John at the front of the restaurant he had booked for their parties lunch ‘Meet-and-Greet’ with Kurt’s friends and the rest of the boys from Dalton.

John walked in through the door and said “Come on guys most of the others are already here waiting for you.” And then led the other four over to the tables set-up for the large party and then there were squeals and Kurt was bombarded by girls crushing him in embraces and kissing his cheek while the others laughed, as Kurt tried to contain his own excitement, as ‘His Girls’ were quick firing questions at him and asking which one of the dream boats was his and who was available.  He introduced the guys and Blaine, then Blaine was engulfed by the girls threatening that if he did anything to upset or hurt their Kurt he was in big trouble, to Kurt they just said “Damn Kurt you sure know how to pick them he’s gorgeous” as Blaine again blushed to his roots over the comments and felt slightly scared at the girls reactions as he tried to hide slightly behind Kurt as the other boys just laughed at him.

“Now girls leave Kurt’s ‘fine piece of arse!’ alone” Santanna and Britney had arrived and joined in the conversation. Blaine had gone over to where Nick and Jeff had sat and Santanna Followed looking sultry and the latina said “Just so you know I come from Lima Heights Adjacent and will go all out if you hurt my boy there sweet cheeks”. Then turned to Britney and smiling said “Come on Brit-brit we can sit over there” pointing to where Tina and Mike were sat with Puck and Artie.

Kurt looked over and said “Satan leave my boyfriend and his friends alone” Looking sternly at her but Santanna just rolled her eyes and said “Love you too Kurtie” blowing a kiss at the end.  Kurt smirked which totally ruined his scowl, but went over to Blaine, nick and Jeff saying “They mean well take no notice” Blaine looked at Kurt saying “They miss you Kurt that’s all and they are your friends.”

Just as the waitress came over to take their orders Rachel and Finn arrived looking a bit pink from rushing to get to the restaurant and said “Sorry, so sorry Rachel’s Dads were a bit OTT with us coming to Westerville but we persuaded them to let her come” .  Nick and Blaine looked at Kurt mouthing ‘Dads?’ Kurt introduced the guys to Finn, his step-brother and girlfriend Rachel and then told his little group that she had two gay Dad’s.

John stood up and welcomed everyone from his friends to the New Directions and proceeded to say that this meal was his gift to Kurt as a Welcome to the Warblers and had already been paid for in advance and for everyone to order what they wanted from the menu’s.  Everyone was excited and looked at the menu’s list of meals and drinks. 

Soon the waitress was busy taking everyone’s orders, as Wes and David introduced their girlfriends to Mercedes, Quinn and Finn and Rachel.  John sat next to the pretty blonde and introduced himself to Quinn and then the others as they began ordering their meals.

Soon starters appeared and everyone was busy chatting and enjoying the camanderie of the luncheon.  Quinn was busy talking to John and asking him about his families businesses as she recognised his surname.

After about two hours in the restaurant and everyone fully stuffed to their britches they decided to leave thanking the staff for the meals and leaving a tip.  When they were outside again they all decided to go around to the different stores and shop around for things, soon after Nick spots Sam and Bas, walking towards their direction, but as of yet to spot the group.  Blaine and Kurt hid in a designer store as Bas looked over to Nick and Jeff saying cordially “Hi guys, so where’s Kurt and Blaine we heard they were meeting up with you.”  Jeff turned and said “Why do you want to know” Bas said “Just being friendly like” Puck sauntered over noting the altercation that was suddenly brewing and barging into the conversation saying between Nick and Jeff “Hey who are these guys more friends?” Sam looked over to puck and smiled while Bas looked affronted at the intrusion.  Nick replied “No just some guys from our school looking for Kurt and Blaine, but they have already left the mall.” Puck caught the lie but just smiled back at Sam and looked at Bas with his Bad-boy attitude oozing out.  Bas just said “Okay fine we’ll catch up in school then” with that he dragged Sam away and walked further down into the mall.

Just then Blaine poked his head out of the shop and said “Everything okay guys What did ‘ He’ want?” and again the sentiment wasn’t lost on Puck who said “Trouble?” but the others shook their heads and said not really just a thorn that doesn’t know when to stop.

They all agreed that they wanted to watch a film next and then what type of film for all of them to see.  When they got to the cinema they unanimously agreed to watch ‘Sparkle’ as they were all massive fans of the late Ms Whitney Houston.  Blaine bought the tickets and Kurt the popcorn with a large drink to share and waited for the others to get their tickets and supplies and headed for the theatre they were directed to for the film.

Blaine took his and then helped Kurt off their jackets and settled down to watch the film cosy-ing up to one-another as the others were starting too.  As songs were sung and which the groups knew they were sung along to and people in the theatre clapped after each group finished singing their own parts of the songs being sung in the film.

When the film had finished they all realised that they were the last to go from the theatre and that was when the attack came.  Mercedes shrieked as a massive apparition strode over to them with menacing eyes and teeth with claws as hands.  Blaine and Kurt were the first ones to react by putting themselves and everyone into a protective shield which visibly reacted to the apparition, as it tried to attack Mercedes, Tina, Quinn, Santanna and Britney who were grouped together shrieking, and trying to get away.

The Apparition turned away from the girls and looked at the shield as if it could see it, working out where it had come from, then turning suddenly striding over and reaching out towards Kurt and Blaine.  The boys held their ground as it came towards them and it slowed as it encountered the shield again.  Blaine was grunting at the effort to keep his part of the shield up, as the thing bashed a giant fist into it and it rebounded shrieking itself as it came into contact with arcane powers.  This gave the other boys an opportunity to attack back with powerful attacks and made critical hits as groups of combined strength of two or three boys started to wound the apparition.  The apparition started to back away suddenly realising that it was outmatched then Kurt came walking towards it angrier than he ever thought possible and pointed his finger and the apparition burst into flame dying in a split second.  Everything went back to normal except the girls whimpering from seats further up the theatre and Finn and the other McKinley Boys trying to calm them and looking equally afraid and confused.  That was when they discovered Artie wasn’t with the New Directions, John was standing further down from where the girls were standing when attacked.  John looked back up to Blaine and Kurt and his other Dalton friends shaking his head slowly as he looked down at the knocked over wheelchair and dead body of Artie.

A staff member came in and screamed when he saw the body and ran out to get the manager, who quickly followed the employee to take in the scene.  All they saw was a bunch of kids too frightened to move and another group of boys looking sad with one openingly crying into another boys shoulder. The Manager asked “Jason get the police and ambulance quickly!” then he walked over to the body as he asked everyone to sit down until the authorities arrived to make sense of what had happened here tonight.

Everyone had calmed down to a certain amount but the manager had managed to keep the girls away from the crime scene.  Five minutes later two cops walked in with the paramedic who went over to Artie and checked that he was indeed dead.  The paramedic shook his head and radioed in saying Dead At Scene (DAS), while the second cop also used his radio to ask for back up and the CSI team to attend.  Meanwhile the first cop got everyone to the top two tiers away from the scene and asked “Okay I know this is a shock but I need some information as to how and why this has happened.”

Just then the police Captain walked in and said “Officer a word please” as the officer looked down at his superior “Yes Sir” then walked down the stairs to him.

Soon after Mr Anderson walked in and talked quickly to the Captain and Officer, then went over to the boys of Dalton and asked “Well what happened?” and the boys quickly recounted what had occurred and the subsequent finding of Kurt’s friend Artie lying on the theatre floor, dead from the attack of the monstrous apparition.

Mr Anderson looked over to Kurt and Blaine and asked “Are you two alright no injuries or anything” Blaine said no and Kurt sniffled a reply “No nothing I was so angry at the thing for disrupting our day that I just pointed a finger and it burst into flame and when that was over John had found Artie dead” then cried into Blaine’s shoulder, as Blaine’s father looked slightly disapproving but held his tongue, as his son glared back a challenge while comforting Kurt.

John asked Mr Anderson “Sir what do we do now with the police and everything how is this going to be explained?”  Mr Anderson looked around at the boys and said don’t worry about that it has all been taken care of and you are free to go but I need to talk to your other friends and do my bit to safe guard your secret” with that he went over to the New Directions where the girls were still distressed and the boys were still holding it together for them.

“Hello” Mr Anderson said to the New Directions group of friends “I’m Mr Anderson, Blaine’s Father and I’ve come to help you.  First though can you tell me what happened” then the group explained what they thought they saw and the discovery of ‘Artie’ by John.

“Okay and thank you for that, I have arranged for you all to be released and the Police will follow up with their enquiries when they are ready.”

With that he ushered the kids out of the theatre and told them to take care, but as they turned to go he held out his hand and a light emanated from it everyone was held in its glow and then blanked out for a few seconds as though nothing untoward had happened to them within the past hour.

They all left quickly and went their separate ways, saying goodbye to each other and saying they would do it again soon.

Blaine walked Kurt over to his car and Kurt asked “What did your father just do to everyone?” Blaine looked confused and asked “What did my father do? Kurt I don’t know what you are talking about” Kurt looked over to Blaine as he went around to the passenger side of the vehicle and thought ‘wow am I the only one that Mr Anderson didn’t have an effect upon, curious?’ but said “Oh nothing Blaine, nothing at all he seems nicer today”

Blaine raised a eyebrow and got into the car asking as Kurt got in “Are you sure you’re okay because I haven’t seen Dad since this morning?”

Kurt was flummoxed as to answer that so he didn’t and just smiled weakly thinking about poor Artie and how they would explain this to everyone.

I didn’t take Blaine long to drive Kurt back and he thanked him for a fantastic ‘First Date’ then leaned in to kiss him and as their lips touched deepening the light flashed on/off letting them know Kurt’s Dad was waiting inside Kurt rolled his eyes exasperated but Blaine smiled and kissed him again quickly before saying “Speak later?” with a wink he got back into his car and reversed out of the driveway and down the street. 

Kurt went inside when Blaine had driven out of sight and stopped after he closed the door as his Dad was waiting for him to go into his study.

Kurt knew this was coming and just sighed and then walked in and was followed by his Dad who then went around to his desk sitting down in the chair.  Burt nodded to Kurt to sit and asked “How your day go Son?” Kurt thought of the luncheon and shopping even the film but not about the attack.  No he definitely didn’t want to be reminded about that and Artie’s death.

Kurt looked at his father and smiled a genuine smile saying “It was great Dad we had a really, really good time today.  Why do you ask?”  Burt studied his only Son for a moment before answering. “Oh something someone told me that’s all. Something interesting happened at the cinema theatre” Kurt blanched and thought ‘how the hell do you know that Dad!’ but rallied enough to ask “Oh what was that then?”

Burt again studied his son and thought to himself ‘I bet he’s wondering how I know and I think he still knows after what Blaine’s father did with that mind numbing spell. Hmm’ but he answered “Oh Blaine’s dad rang me to say something had gone down at the cinema but I wasn’t to worry about it because he and the authorities were sorting it out and that you were okay.”

Kurt let out the breath he had held, as he realised of course Blaine’s father would call my dad he knew where Blaine was all the time.  What with what had happened he had to keep tabs on his own son.

Burt got up and said “Okay Kurt as long as you are fine then it’s okay” Kurt also got up from the other chair and said goodnight to his dad and went off upstairs to his bedroom to await Blaine’s call before he fell asleep.

He had finished his face regime when Blaine’s name appeared on his cell and he clicked it saying “Hey you. You got back okay then and again Thank you for the brilliant first date” Blaine was quiet on the other end of the line except breathing Kurt thought odd and tried again “Blaine are you there stop messing around it isn’t funny….. Blaine!” but again only breathing could be heard then a thump as though something was being dragged away.  Kurt was beginning to panic he didn’t like what he was hearing and went downstairs to dial Nick’s cell.  “Oh hi Kurt what’s up?” Nick asked and Kurt explained and Nick said “Right I’ll be at yours soon get ready we’re going over to Blaine’s house”

Within five minutes nick was outside Kurt’s house and Kurt was rushing outside with his Dad “Nick this is my Dad Burt he’s coming or I don’t” Nick nodded and said “Hello Mr Hummel” as the Hummel’s got in and Nick quickly drove over to Blaine’s house, which was on the outskirts of Westerville on an exclusive site.  They drove up through the gates which were wide open and the house lights were all off and the front door open. 

“OMG Blaine” Kurt shouted as Nick parked his car next to Blaine’s car, in the lights of Nick’s car was Blaine unconscious but breathing.  Nick told Kurt to stay with Blaine as he and Burt were going in to discover if they could find anyone else.

Kurt cradled Blaine's head in his lap and hicked his breath as he saw Blaine’s eyes flicker and He struggled to say “Ku…r..t. some…thi..ng in my … house” then relapsed into unconsciousness.  Kurt was then doubly worried that his Dad and Nick had entered the house looking for anyone else.  Making sure Blaine was comfortable he enshrouded him in a protective and healing spell, so then went into the house himself.  He looked for a light switch and tried it no luck, he then thought light and immediately the house was alight with all the lights powered ‘on’. 

Kurt shouted “DAD…. NICK” nothing both didn’t respond he again felt that overwhelming anger start to build in him and thought of whatever had done that to Blaine had better watch out and if it, they or whatever, had hurt his Dad then he would become the Demi-god of Wrath indeed.

Kurt looked around rushing from room to room downstairs then sent his mind upstairs…. Nothing… so he sent his mind down to the basement and sure enough he found his Dad unconscious but Nick was struggling with something or other.  Kurt set off at a run bolting for the basement steps and taking two at a time was looking at his nemesis David Karofsky fighting with Nick and winning the battle.  With no other thought but to hurt Karofsky he screamed the highest note he could shattering glass all around him distracting Karofsky enough to allow Nick to escape next to Kurt.

Dave looked incensed as Nick went to Kurt’s side and shouted at them “Arrgh! Kurt you’re mine no one else’s got it!” Kurt was livid and went even whiter than before and said in a deadly whisper back at Karofsky “I’m no-one’s other than who I choose and I don’t, never will choose you.  Is that succinct enough for you!” then Kurt took a step towards Karofsky looking like the Angel of Death.  Dave noticed and looked at Kurt again assessing him and suddenly vanished from the Blaine’s residence.

Nick looked astonished at Kurt and said “How on earth did you do that Kurt he was so strong?” Kurt looked at Nick, and Nick took a couple of steps back, as he looked into Kurt’s eyes to see Lightening and power he had never seen in anyone before” Then Kurt kind of came back to himself and rushed to his Dad and found him starting to come to “Oh Dad are you okay? Your heart! Are you sure you’re okay?” Burt groggily said he was and with Nick’s help they got him upstairs to sit in one of the comfortable chairs to recover.  Then Kurt went back out to see Blaine sitting up in the protective shroud beaming at Kurt and said “I knew I count on you to help me, but I didn’t expect this” he waved his arms inside the bubble and Kurt laughed because Blaine was kind of stuck inside.  Blaine then added “If you can let me out Kurt I appreciate it”

Just then another car swept into the drive and parked the other side of the front doors and out stepped Blaine’s parents who walked over to the two boys with confusion on their faces.  Blaine’s father asked “Blaine please explain why Kurt is here and why is nick’s car parked outside our house?”

Blaine led them all inside to Burt and Nick and Mr & Mrs Anderson thanked Burt and Nick profusely before looking over to Kurt.  Mrs Anderson came across and kissed Kurt’s cheek saying “Thank you, you may have saved my youngest” then smiling the same brilliant smile that Blaine had, then Mr Anderson also added his thanks but asked how they were able to defeat and rid the house of ‘Dave Karofsky’.

Nick told his and Burt’s side of the story and waited for Kurt to finish his, then Nick added that Kurt just took a menacing step towards his nemesis and Dave looked at Kurt then vanished.

Nick looked pointedly at Blaine and his parents saying “I have never seen that kind of power display from anybody….. it kind of frightened me and I know Kurt you wouldn’t of hurt me but you were definitely looking like an avenging angel earlier.”

Kurt looked at Nick saying “Well I kind of remember it but it seems that I was looking down on the scene and not actually there.  But I did see where Karofsky went and I blocked his return so your home is secure from him ever gaining entry - ever! Mr and Mrs Anderson”

Suddenly behind them a voice sounded “Well what a welcome” as the Anderson’s voiced their own joy that eldest son and Blaine’s brother came into their home and was hugged by them before introductions were made.  Copper Anderson Arch-Angel picked Kurt up and swung him around and laughed at Blaine’s shout and Kurt shriek, but laughed as ‘Coop’ kissed his forehead and put him down. Blushing as Blaine protectively put his own arms around Kurt so his brother couldn’t do that again and glared at Coop over his shoulder as he ushered Kurt to a two settee seat and sat with his arms still around Kurt.  Kurt laughed at Blaine’s discomfort as Coop teased Blaine remorselessly, until their mother stepped in and told Cooper to leave them alone or she would get the family photo’s out.  Cooper immediately stopped but smiled over to his brother and Kurt winking and laughed at Blaine’s huffed response.

Cooper shook hands with Burt and Nick, then Burt said “Well I think it’s time we went Kurt it’s late and the Anderson’s have to catch up on everything” looking over to them as they nodded and rose from his seat and beckoned Kurt and Nick to follow.  Blaine snuck a quick peck on Kurt’s cheek and again “Thanked him for saving them all… again”  Kurt raised an eyebrow at that last remark and Blaine nodded “Yeah I remember it was only a temporary relapse for us Dalton boys and we collectively are sorry for Artie and your loss of a good friend Kurt”

Cooper heard the last remark and Blaine shook his head and he kept quiet, but would ask later of Blaine what had he missed since he became aware of his brothers troubles when their parents told him to come home immediately.

The Anderson’s followed Burt, Nick and Kurt out and again they thanked them for coming to Blaine’s aid.  Blaine said to Kurt “I’ll text you later okay and speak tomorrow” then let Kurt get into Nick’s car then said bye to the other two, Nick reversed and drove out of the driveway and back to Kurt’s home. Burt asked if he wanted to come in but Nick said not this time but could he come over tomorrow with some of the other guys.  Burt nodded and told him to come on by the house at 1pm to give everyone time to sleep in and get over today’s experiences.  Nick said he would and he’d see them later that day as it was now getting on for 1:45am Sunday morning.

Nick drove home, as Kurt and Burt waved him goodbye, and then went into the house, stopping as they noticed Carol curled up on the chair reading a magazine and drinking a hot chocolate.  “Hi Honey, Hi Kurt” said Carol “did you sort out what had happened to Blaine? Do you want some chocolate?” as she got up and kissed Burt and asked them both.

Kurt said he’d have a chocolate but that Burt could have a tea for his treatment tonight, Carol went into the kitchen and started making them their drinks and set them down at the table and then joined her boys at the table waiting for them to say what had occurred tonight.  Kurt looked over to his Dad to start then took up the story after Burt was knocked unconscious. Carol was a bit concerned that Burt had been hurt but she was assured that he had been healed by Mrs Anderson.  They then told her about the other boys wanting to come over here later today and they agreed to go to bed.

Kurt received a text from Blaine and smiled as it read again ‘TY and courage under fire! ;D c u 2morrow xoxo’

Kurt thought about what they could do about Karofsky but simply fell asleep exhausted from the days events.
