Meanwhile, Blaine parked his car in the visitors’ car park at the Lima Bean and got out of his car. Kurt hadn’t said a whole lot on the drive over and that worried Blaine for some reason. As Kurt also got out of the car Blaine asked “Are you sure you are okay?” Kurt blinked and realised where he was and with whom, then answered Blaine “Yeah, but still reeling over everything that Mr Riley and Mr Fredericks have said” boy he would have a lot to discuss with his Dad.

Blaine opened the door and allowed Kurt to go in first then asked “So, what do you want to drink?”
Kurt looked over the board and said “Oh I’ll get my usual a low fat mocha latte.”

Blaine said “No silly I’m buying don’t even think about it” as the barista asked for their orders. Blaine got his wallet out and paid for the drinks leaving a generous tip which the barista thanked them for. They then got their drinks and looked around for a quiet table ….. found one in the corner and away from most of the other customers. As they settled in their seats Blaine opened his drink and allowed it to cool slightly before taking a sip, looked over to Kurt and asked “So, Kurt what type are you?” Kurt looked up from taking a sip of his drink and replied “Type?”

Blaine realised that Kurt wouldn’t have a clue yet not like him being brought up being a god stupid he thought to himself “ Oh m’bad. Yeah, there are different types not all as powerful as one another. I can do a lot of things generally but I’m a sort of seer amongst other things.”
“Ahhhh! Now I realise what this morning was all about.” Kurt said Blaine blushed a bit and Kurt thought WOW! How adorable are you, as he looked into those hazel-honey coloured eyes losing himself. Blaine coughed a choke out after nearly spluttering his drink from his mouth and regained his control laughing slightly looking at Kurt “Really Kurt adorable”

Kurt felt his own blush spread up from his chest to his face as he said to Blaine “OMG! No fair you can read minds.” Blaine thought yeah you’re not too adorable yourself and then looked at Kurt blushing himself again and laughed at his own expense. “Yeah WE all can to a certain extent. But it takes lots and lots of practice. Watch out for Jeff he is really good at that, so don’t think too hard around him about something you want kept secret ok.” He added with a full force beam of a smile.
Kurt looked and smiled in return, Blaine glanced at this watch and then said “We should go before we are late for Mr Fredericks class you finished” holding his hand out for the other cup to dispose of the cups.

Mr Fredericks’ class was within the ‘Special’ Area that ordinary students and teachers were forbidden to enter and just to be sure no one tried to enter there was a spell placed upon the entranceway to stop and make the person turn around and go away forgetting this place ever existed.

Kurt entered the corridor and Blaine followed, taking Kurt’s hand leading him further along. Kurt looked down at his hand holding tightly to Blaine’s and smiled slightly feeling the warmth flood from his hand.

Jeff looked up and said aloud “Here they are! What took you so long to get here?” smirking as he said it.

Blaine tut-ted and Kurt rolled his eyes saying “Well Jeff, it’s not every day that I learn that I am a Demi-god! Blaine kindly took me for coffee.” Keeping in mind what Blaine had said about Jeff’s ability to read minds easily he was thinking of song.

Jeff looked at Kurt then sighed, asking what the song he was thinking about, Kurt said “Blackbird, by the Beatles. Why?”

“Oh nothing but I can see Blaine has told you of some of the abilities we possess.” Jeff replied smirking as he figured that Blaine had told Kurt about his ability with mind reading.

Just then Mr Fredericks walked in and said “Alright guys, you by now ALL know Kurt is a newbie so be kind when we train. Okay, where were we? Oh yes - disapparition, spell blocking and retaliation spells. Jeff and nick care to show Kurt how it’s done. Okay the rest of you take your seats, Kurt sit next to Blaine please, if anything goes wrong he’ll be able to protect you until you know how to defend yourself from the arcane arts.

The next two hours went in a blur for Kurt but he learnt a lot about how to activate and control his powers. Everyone was amazed at how well Kurt was handling all the lessons. Wes and David looking askance at Kurt whispered, “Do you really think he knows more than he’s letting on or is he just that good?” Wes said, “Hmm, not sure but I wouldn’t like to get on the angry side of him.” David giggled.

Kurt heard what the boys said but just smirked. Well he must of done something right then, the lessons seemed generally easy, but he did realise that just might be down to him as some of the others were noticeably having to do a lot more in order to gain any ability.

Blaine looked over to Kurt and said “Lunch?” Kurt nodded affirmation and they walked out of the door from the ‘Special Area’. Just outside the ‘Bell’ rang for lunch and there was a cacophony of noise from pupils coming out of classes. Soon enough the boys were swallowed up in the mass of boys going to the cafeteria for lunch.

Blaine looked over to Kurt and said “You did well today, did you enjoy yourself? I nearly fell off the chair when you sent that retaliation spell at Jeff his face was priceless!” Blaine leaned on Kurt laughing at the memory as Jeff shrieked, actually shrieked in fright from the spells visual. “Who knew he was terrified of spiders – OMG Kurt that was epic! We All wanted to tease Jeff but he always knew what we were thinking so could curtail our fun. But, you he had no idea what was going on.”

Kurt looked over to Blaine loving the friendliness and camaraderie with his new friends, and had a huge smile on his face laughing along with the others.

Blaine sobered up really quickly looking at Kurt as his breathe caught, Nick noticed Blaine’s reaction to Kurt and smirked to himself ‘Oh Boy’ he thought ‘this is going to be soooooo good Blaine doesn’t know what is going to hit him’ .

Just then Jeff looked over at Nick with a puzzled frown on his face and then glanced to hang back slightly from the others to talk. Nick nodded his head whilst they fell behind the others and talked over what was happening.

“So, what is making you smirk like that Nick?” Jeff asked. Nick looked around to make sure they couldn’t be over heard and said “When Kurt smiled did you see Blaine’s reaction to him?”

Jeff shook his head and said “No I was looking over at the queue for the line at the cafeteria. Why what did I miss?”
Nick told Jeff what he had seen and they both giggled so, Mr Big has a crush on the newbie. LOL!
