Wes banged the gavel again saying “Guys! Quiet, quiet…… QUIET!” Wes bellowed the room went deathly quiet “Better, now as we all know something has occurred but we need to concentrate for a little while on the song selection and order that they go in.”

“Wes really! We’re just going to discuss normal things and forget about what has happened to some of our families and friends”

Patrick announced, as all eyes turned to him, “I may be a Fresh-man here at Dalton but my family has a ‘Legacy’ here for all males and this is what they ask us to do” his increduality was touching and looking around the Warbler Council could see he was not alone in his voiced thoughts.

Wes looked back at Patrick but it was David who spoke “Pat, we know you are anxious, as well as some of the other guys, here but we cannot do anything yet.  Dalton is safe and here is where your families wanted you to come, away from possible harm in whatever form. So, in answer to your question: Yes, we do the normal stuff so we can give the Orders of Light and Darkness time to regroup and retaliate against this unprovoked attack”

Thad also answered Pat’s question “Pat I too have family in the firing line but I cannot do anything to help.  If I could, I would have gone as soon as I found out.  We ALL have to do what is expected of us especially at this time and we will be told as soon as possible what has happened by the Dean, okay”

Pat seemed to wilt slightly from his frustrations, as he knew they were speaking truthfully and kindly to him.

Kurt raised his hand and Wes smiled saying “Kurt you don’t need to raise your hand to be acknowledged, what do want to add?”

Kurt stood up and faced as many of the group as possible and took a deep breath then said “I know I have only just met some of the people here recently and found out about certain things. You all grew up with this I didn’t until a few weeks ago.  What I’m trying to put into words is that Blaine and I are going to beat whoever did this with your help sooner now rather than later.  After the dust has settled and we find out what has occurred to the OOD then we can plan to hit back hard and rid ourselves of this threat to our way of living. Please believe me when I say that I am as scared as you are, but now to falter or run blindly into a threat I don’t know anything about, would defeat even the strongest force.  We must wait until it is deemed necessary for us to be told anything and then we can pledge our support in any manner that is helpful.” With that he sat back down next to Blaine who gave his hands a squeeze in encouragement and assurance of his speech.

The Dean applauded from the doorway with Bas and said “Well-spoken all of you! Patrick I have news that your family they are safe, all the families are safe.  The OOD when attacked automatically put their own safeguards into action and won the day with minor casualties from the attack on the ministry.  They have requested that ALL borders at Dalton remain here, where it is still the safest place to be for now. Until such time it allows families to come get you, okay.  In other words they are clearing up the mess and don’t want you around complaining about being left out of the battle.”

Patrick had the good graces to blush at the last remark, and the Dean laughed at his response then continued “Right then gentlemen I do have an announcement to make and it is this….” pausing for dramatic effect “the orders have now been disbanded!”

Uproar over that was inevitable but the Dean let it go on for a few minutes before saying “I have been informed by ‘Senior’ Clarice of the Order of light that it is now be disbanded and had a telephone conversation with the Chancellor himself that the Order of Darkness has too.  What is to take their place has already been decided and implemented to incorporate both orders into one, becoming known simply as’ The Order of the Two’”

The boys started talking amongst themselves again and the Dean let it go and looked over and motioned for Kurt and Blaine to come to him, they rose from the settee and went over to the Dean and Bas.

“Right I need you two to go back to the apartment now and speak with Clarice and your brother Blaine, Kurt.  Is Nick there…… “ looking around as he spotted and asked him to join his little group frowning as Jeff came along too, then Wes, David and John also arrived “What I only wanted Blaine, Kurt and Nick the rest of you can carry  on with the meeting”

Wes said “Sir, if you haven’t noticed the meeting has broken up and we were told earlier to go back to see Kurt and Blaine’s room”

Jeff stated “If Nick goes then I too go after everything that has happened today I won’t be anywhere else but beside him” challenging the Dean to say otherwise.  The Dean looked perplexed but gave up and nodded his acceptance of the larger group.

Bas, waited for Kurt to notice he wanted to talk to him and Kurt led him slightly further down the corridor away from the Dean and his friends asking “What Bas?” Bas looked relieved that the battle was done for now and then asked Kurt a question “Kurt do you want me to come up with you to your apartment or can I be excused for an hour”  Kurt looked at Bas asking “Why the hour?”

Bas sighed “Well my Dad has politely requested a favour from you to allow me time to quickly visit my family at the old order HQ’s but I have to ask you first before I could go”

Kurt was shocked at this but just nodded his head then said “Okay, yeah sure. Umm is an hour long enough?”  Bas looked at Kurt and replied “Probably not but MY family upholds its tradition on the binding of servitude to you” Kurt looked at Bas again and asked “Okay, how long do you think you need” Bas said “About two hours would be great or longer if you don’t really need me around but tomorrow I shall be waiting at the doorway to your corridor to escort you and Blaine to wherever you want to go”

Kurt okayed Bas’s return to the ministry to meet his family and said he would see him in the morning; then with that Kurt re-joined the group and Bas left to teleport himself to the ministry and his awaiting family.

Blaine looked at Kurt and asked telepathically what was that about with Bas and Kurt replied that Bas needed his permission to leave to go see his family at the ministry from himself and that he would see them in the morning. Blaine looked a bit perturbed at that news but then shrugged and went back to the on-going conversation between the Dean and his friends.

When the Dean saw that Kurt had re-joined them he told the larger group to go up to the apartment and do what they were told.  With that the Dean headed back to his office to deal with further requests and to go to the staff meeting being held now at 7pm in the teachers’ lounge.

Blaine and Kurt led the others up to the apartment and Wes, David and john whistled at the living accommodation given to the other two boys.  Then Nick and Jeff came in with Coop and Clarice, asking them all to take a seat where they could.

Clarice looked at the group of Demi-Gods before her and smiled fondly as she then saw that the Two had their team assembled already without knowing it.  Clarice then spoke “Firstly, may I be the first to congratulate you all, because I can see that not only are you friends but a team that will battle for itself and protect those that cannot.”

Kurt asked a question “Clarice what do you mean by saying ‘Team’?”

Clarice smile again and replied to Kurt’s question “Prophesy” Kurt said “Huh?” but Clarice continued “Prophesy Kurt, it explains a lot of what you will have to know and what you may come up against I have book that I need all of you young gentlemen to read and digest what it contains.”  Clarice opened her bag and retrieved the said book passing it straight to Kurt with Blaine looking over his shoulder.

“Nick” Clarice said making him jump as he wasn’t paying her attention but looking over to Kurt and Blaine with the book. He looked sheepishly at Clarice and said “Sorry but was interested in the book” Clarice replied “No need for apologies Nick but we do have to discuss certain things away from everyone else so come with me to Cooper’s lounge” and then proceeded Nick into the room.

Jeff went to get up and follow but coop blocked his path and said “Sorry Jeff not this time.  It is for Nick’s hearing only and Clarice has placed a spell to stop anyone following her and Nick into the room, so take a seat back there and listen” pointing to Kurt.  Kurt wanted to share something he and Blaine had just read to the remaining boys and Coop, but had waited for the others to go into the other room or just to re-sit down.  Kurt cleared his throat slightly then began reading from the book “….. and behold the aftermath of battle where there were two foes now become joined to be one force combined to take on and fight against the ‘Void’. There shall be Two to lead to show the way for others to follow and battle, the teams shall be made from the two former foes to balance the light and darkness in the combined efforts to overcome the ‘Void’.” Kurt finished and looked at the others.

“Sounds pretty self-explanatory to me” David said “What had happened earlier today with the OOD and you two” pointing at Kurt and Blaine. “Now you’re reading from the Book of Prophesy stating those things and I guess we’re part of the special team to aid and go into battle with your two as the spearhead”

Kurt looked over to Blaine as he did the same, “OMG Blaine are we ready for this… can we do this?”  Blaine thought for a moment then replied “As long as we are together I don’t see how anything can beat us Kurt.  I have a feeling that we are going to win not a powerful as my visions but still…”

Kurt beamed at Blaine then the others saying “Okay troops we need to read this book and plan, learn and gather our strength”

Clarice came back in and said “Couldn’t have put that any better my-self Kurt.  Right now we are to relax for now read that book” Mr Fredericks came in and said “Pardon me Clarice but these arrived and I have your assistant waiting for you in the Dean’s office” Clarice nodded and saw that it was copies of the Book of Prophesy then started handing books out to everyone that required to read it tonight.  Clarice and Mr Fredericks left to go to the Dean’s office and meet her assistant, to bring her up to speed on everything and to see if the Chancellor had any further messages for her.

The boys All settled down together in the lounge reading their copies of books Coop decided to make everyone a drink and got to work in the kitchenette.

Two hours later everyone had finished their books and were looking at certain chapters that they thought might be aimed at them personally.  Blaine spoke up then and said “Coop, umm, it states in chapter 8 that you are my ‘Guardian Angel Brother’ who shall banish the evil ‘Garnaz’ in battle even unto death, Coop you won’t die will you?”

Coop looked over from where he sat and got up and then knelt down in from of Blaine, as he saw tears welling in his little brothers eyes, he said “Blainers everyone dies eventually but I won’t I promise I’ll still be around bossing you and teasing you Squirt!” Blaine immediately retaliated “Hey don’t call me that you know I don’t like height jokes” but managed a weak smile and gave his big brother a hug.

The others looked on feeling slightly embarrassed at watching a moment between the brothers, then Kurt said “Blaine it also states that the ‘Guardian shall rise up further than before and will add to the team or hadn’t you read that bit?”  Blaine looked abashed in recognising that he had only seen the first part and jumped the gun because he felt he was going to lose his brother. Coop hugged Blaine again and said to him “See now do you understand I’m always going to be around whether you like it or not.”

Mr Fredericks then came back in to the boys apartment and said “Okay guys it’s pass curfew go back down to your rooms now, we shall all talk about this in our next class in the morning” John, Wes, David, Nick and Jeff got up said goodnight to Blaine, Kurt and Coop before going back to their own rooms for the night with Mr Fredericks following them down.

Coop also then said “Well boy’s big day tomorrow so get some rest …. If you can and keep it down okay” laughing after his last tease at them making both boy’s blush red, before heading back to his own apartment across the corridor.
