One pm Sunday on the dot there was a knock on the front door and Kurt said “I’ll get it” and walked over and then opened the front door to see Blaine and the rest of their group standing outside.  “Hello” Kurt said and ushered everyone in to the front room with Carol asking if anybody wanted any drinks.  Then came another knock and Kurt went back to the door and found Cooper standing there smiling and said “Am I late?” Kurt shook his head but let Coop in to the others.

Blaine looked up from his conversation with Wes and Nick and said “Coop! What are you doing here?” Coop looked over at his brother and said “Mom and Dad said I was to look out for you and that means follow you around discretely of course” Blaine didn’t exactly like the idea but could see the sense in it.  “Okay, then sit down” Kurt said behind Coop, as Carol came in with the tray of drinks upon it.  Looking at Kurt she asked “Any more coming?” Then asked Coop if he wanted anything to drink, to which he declined thanking her giving her a charming Anderson smile as Carol was enchanted by Coop.

Burt grunted and said to Kurt “Anderson charm eh?” laughing at his son’s blush which made Blaine wonder what Burt had said to Kurt to make him go red like that.

Then nick said “Okay everyone now that we are all here let’s begin.” Then Wes said “Okay what do we do now? How do we stop this Karofsky kid from harming anyone else” Looking pointedly at Kurt and then nodded his head once to add his own sympathies for Artie.

Kurt smiled thinly but replied “Well I have done something in fact he can no longer attack Blaine or get at him in his home that is at least safe now” The others wondered how Kurt had done this and Jeff asked “Umm, what about us he knows us and could come for us now Blaine and Kurt are out of his reach.  Nick has told us of how strong he is and how he could defeat some of us easily” This was said very begrudgedly.  Kurt looked at Jeff then the others and said “Well this may take me a little while but I can do it, but each one of you needs to link with me” the other boys again nodded their heads and answered okay and yes.

Kurt sat in the dining room and then one-by-one each of the other Dalton boys came in and Kurt was able to protect them and their homes from Karofsky.  Nick was surprised as was Kurt when they heard a howl of anger when they we linked to protect nick’s home from Karofsky.  Nick was shaken by the fact that he may have become the next victim of Dave’s but was now stopped by Kurt’s protective magic.

Kurt rolled his shoulders and Blaine walked over and started to massage them saying thank you for helping his friends from the danger.  Kurt replied in thought ‘I would of done it even if they hadn’t of asked.  I know how Karofsky works and how vindictive he can be.  I didn’t want Nick to find out that without being protected to some degree.’ Blaine raised his eyebrows again at Kurt and fell even more for this staggeringly beautiful boy who power astonished everyone.

Kurt winced at a particular knot Blaine was working out and Blaine softened his hands but continued until it was worked out.  Kurt got up and turned around placing a chaste kiss onto Blaine’s lips.  Blaine was strengthening the kiss when Coop coughed and the boys broke apart blushing slightly at being caught by Cooper. Coop smiled and then said “Hate to interrupt you guys making out with each other” laughing again at hearing Blaine’s groan and slap to his head, but continued “The guys are discussing something and I think you both need to hear it”

They all went back to Kurt’s front room and Kurt sat down with Blaine on the arm of the chair next to him, looking at the others to what they had been discussing.  David said “Now we are all back what we were thinking was this.  We actually take the battle to Dave Karofsky on our terms and our turf, home ground advantage and all of that.” Blaine nodded agreeing when Kurt said “Why? We don’t really need to do that I can take care of him if needs be”

Everyone stopped talking and looked to Kurt as Blaine asked “What do you mean you can take care of him.” Not liking the way Kurt had said that.

Kurt looked at the others and said “Well, as I have told you guys that the last time we battled in your basement Blaine and Dave left, I actually followed him and he realised I followed. That is when he tried to block me out but he couldn’t and I threatened him that if he did anything further, then he would rue the day he did.  Then I came back to your basement and looked at Nick who was retreating from me which is when I gathered my powers back inside and became ordinary Kurt.” 

Nick looked over and said “Yeah he went from scary Kurt to not so scary Kurt” as everyone laughed at his joke and Kurt looked over and said “BOO!” making everyone laugh harder. 

Eventually everyone settled down and John asked “Okay if you can deal with him then I think that is that but what about Bas and his crew.  Once he realises that Karofsky has been dealt with he may become more involved with gaining Kurt to his crew, not that I’m saying he would be able to but we ought to have some kind of plan in place to neutralise him once and for all.”

The boys looked at each other, Coop asked “Okay boys is this Bas causing you trouble and what exactly is he?” then looking at Burt and Carol who had stayed asked them “Do you know what we’re talking about here?” Kurt answered stating that they we’re aware of what they all were and that anything said in front of them would be kept in confidence, Burt and Carol nodded and told everyone not to worry and they wouldn’t say anything.

Then Blaine told his brother and Kurt’s parents what Bas was a ‘Demon’ quite a powerful one but nothing that he couldn’t handle and now with Kurt’s added strength he would be put into his place.  Coop nodded thinking to himself then said “Blaine did you know about the binding spell that effects only evil creatures, especially Demons” Blaine shook his head but said “We haven’t been told about that, is there a spell that can do that?”

Cooper looked around and said “I think I had better talk to the dean before teaching you that” and then Kurt realised that although Coop wasn’t as powerful as Blaine or himself he was equal or even more powerful than the other Demi-gods present at the moment.

“Right” Burt announced “Enough of this what do you say to a BBQ?” looking around at the boys and Coop.  There was a cheer and a chorus of yes’s all around.  Burt got up and Carol followed out to the kitchen as they got the BBQ food out and Carol started making salad.

The boys talked about what had occurred in the theatre and how sorry they were for Kurt’s friend Artie who had been killed.  Jeff asked “Does anyone know where or who sent it to attack us?” but everyone shook their heads and said no.  Jeff continued “So, we’re not sure if that thing came from Karofsky, Bas or some other entity that has yet to play their hand” that sobered everyone up.

Kurt asked “How would we be able to find out about that?” Blaine looked at his brother Coop for an answer and Coop replied “Well there many ways in fact to find out but you need to be in the place that it happened” Blaine said “Right now I remember, guys think what Mr Fredericks told us a fortnight ago” then everyone seemed to brighten as clarity ensued upon them.  Coop looked and smiled secretly thinking that they had already bonded as a team and now they would be a force for good in the coming battle, which was rapidly approaching if all the portents and seers had spoken of the ‘Battle of Worlds’ was true.  It could only be to the benefit for these guys to work together as a team and use Blaine and Kurt as their focus or centre then they would be unbeatable.  He thought back to his Dad and spoke on a very tight line of his thoughts and his Dad replied thanking him for his report on what was occurring. 

Coop noticed blue eyes looking at him and he indicated that Kurt should follow telling Blaine he needed to talk to Kurt away from him and the others.  Blaine was about to say no when Kurt looked at him and told him to go with the others outside and get a burger or something while he talked to Coop.  Blaine didn’t like the dismissal but thought to Kurt I want to know what he is up to be careful around Coop he’s my brother and I love him but trust hmmm I’d want proof first with that he said allowed “Come on guy’s it smells like the foods almost done.” Jeff was the first out of his seat much to the chagrin of Nick and soon Kurt and Coop were left alone.

Kurt looked at Coop and said “Did your Dad say it was okay to report back everything and what do you mean about the coming battle of whatever?  I am no one’s pawn I’m my own person and so are the others, don’t ever forget that.  Report that back to your Dad that I’m aware of what is going on now and will be looking out for us too”

Coop looked back at Kurt saying “I knew you were strong Kurt but even I am in awe of you now.  Even Blaine cannot break in on my conversations with our Dad telepathically how you were able to do it I can’t explain?”

Kurt smirked but said “I saw you, your expression changed and you went somewhere else in your mind while everyone was talking I’m observant Coop remember that” then said “Shall we join the others now?”

Coop agreed but told Kurt not to mention the battle to come in the future to the other boys yet as it wasn’t time for them to know and it would only scare them.  Kurt nodded his agreement with the decision that when he felt it was the time to tell them he would or if before then Coop or his parents were to inform them all at the same time, with a full explanation of what was to be done in the coming battle and how they were expected to deal with it.

Coop nodded his ascent and blanked as he told his father of the developments, then Kurt heard Blaine and Coop’s Dad who asked him to visit back with Blaine and Coop this evening when everything would be explained to him and Blaine, as it was time to tell them their parts in the prophecy.  With that Mr Anderson had gone and Coop led Kurt out to the others who were arguing over who has the next burger, when Coop reached past and took it, laughing at their faces when he’d did it. 

Blaine rolled his eyes at his brother’s behaviour, but laughed with him as Jeff tried unsuccessfully to get the burger off Coop. Jeff sulked until Burt placed another into his hands and said “Plenty more Kid”

All of them enjoyed the impromptu BBQ and thanked Carol and Burt for their hospitality saying they would invite them over next time to one of their parent’s parties. Carol thanked them and looked pleased at the promise of a party with the boy’s parents in the near future.

Kurt said he wanted to go over to Blaine’s house and Burt told him curfew time was 11pm school day tomorrow.  Coop said he would make sure that Kurt would be back in time and that he would personally drive Kurt back home, Blaine was about to say the same thing and looked shocked at his brother for pre-empting him.  Kurt laughed at them both and said he was quite capable of driving himself over and back again.

Kurt waved goodbye and left with the Anderson Boys in Blaine's car, then Blaine asked Cooper “Where’s your car? How did you get to Kurt’s?” but Coop just smiled then said “Taxi” Kurt raised his eyebrows and shrugged.  Then Blaine turned the music up and the boys were singing harmonies to the tune playing on the radio, then that turned into an argument over which rendition of the song was better the original or cover version, this lasted until they reached their home.

Mr Anderson was waiting at the front entrance and smiled as his boys continued to argue the merits of their chosen version of the song.  Kurt followed tagging along and smiled as he entered the Anderson home, where Blaine and Coop could be heard from the room leading off the second left, but Kurt felt a pressure upon his arm restraining him slightly where Mr Anderson wanted to talk to Kurt away from his sons view.  He looked at Kurt and sighed “I don’t like that you and Blaine are together but I get why the necessity of it and what that will mean for the future battle to come.  I don’t like … those kinds of people Kurt but I’ll hold my tongue; if you will respect that this is my home, my rules and any nonsense like that is not to be tolerated.”

Kurt looked at Mr Anderson very hard and even Mr Anderson flinched but Kurt then decided okay if that is your house rule then I shall abide by them.  Blaine should have more support than this from his own Parent Kurt thought to himself and Mr Anderson released his arm and showed him through to the room where the others sat.  Mrs Anderson saw Kurt and said “Hello Kurt can you thank your parents for us for feeding these two. Blaine had explained that your Dad had planned a BBQ for you all this afternoon.”

Kurt smiled then and said he would, thinking that he really liked Blaine’s mom but had his reservations about his father after their conversation earlier.  He sat in a chair next to Blaine’s seat but not in the same chair as him, Blaine looked at Kurt with a question on his face.  Then Blaine’s Dad started speaking to them “Boys ‘WE’ have an announcement to make to you” Blaine looked confused but attentive and Kurt looked relaxed.  Mrs Anderson then said “WE are not just Cooper and Blaine’s parents but Guardians too”

Then Coop stood up and walked over to his parents adding “WE are your protectors and advisers if you choose us to be.  Blaine Kurt knows some of this already as he overheard (doing air comma’s) Dad and me having a ‘Thought conversation’ and he questioned me on it and Dad linked to Kurt to invite him over this evening for a talk.” looking over to their father for him to continue.

Blaine looked even more confused as the seconds were counting and he looked at Kurt who just shrugged his shoulders as Mr Anderson spoke again “Boys what WE are trying to tell you is that there exists a very old prophecy in our culture.  Older than Christianity and most other religions as we Supernatural folk refer to as the ‘Truth’ have been looking for portents as to when certain events will take place.  One set of events has happened involving Kurt to become a Demi-God or more if what is believable to what the seers tell us as the ‘Truth’ prophecy involving him.  But there are others too one being the two of you becoming bonded not just by commitment as a team member but by the love you both hold deeply inside your hearts for one another.”  At the last comment both blushed to their hair roots because Blaine’s Dad had said those words, both glanced at the other and their blushes darkened.  Coop laughed at them but his father cleared his throat in reprimand and he quit laughing as the more serious issue was about to be explained.

“Blaine, son you have a gift that will become the envy of many others like us, but they will seek you out for aid in the coming days.  Kurt you already know, I think, that you are more powerful than any Demi-God known to our race.  Know now the two of you that the seers have foreseen that you will partner one another for the rest of your lives, but you will be tested in battles to come and all will not end as well as you had hoped, friends may even die from these battles.”  Blaine was about to interrupt but his Mom shook her head and his father continued “Boys the world has literally been placed upon your young shoulders, to aid in the future fight known as ‘Battle of the worlds’.”

Coop took over then saying “Even the seers are not quite sure what this refers to or when for that matter, except that you bro” looking intently at Blaine “will be the one to interpret these factors in the near future.  That is why I have come back and are now one of the Guardians to protect you both in these your early years from evil or attack from other worlds.”

Mrs Anderson said “Kurt you have the greatest potential of all of us to stave off a catastrophe that is threatening our world.  Something is coming but what that is WE are not sure of yet, but others of our race are striving to find out.”

Suddenly Blaine’s eyes go completely white and he starts talking “Look for the sun as the night is long along the dangerous pathway of ‘FATE’… Beware the Night of Terrors and Death those beings which come will be terrible to behold by mortals!” Blaine then slumps back onto the chair and seemingly passes out as Kurt and Coop rush to stop him from falling out of the seat. 

Blaine comes to after about five minutes asking “Wow what happened OMG my head is really pounding!” 

“Blaine honey drink this” as Mrs Anderson offers Blaine a glass of purple liquid “Drink it all down quickly it will stop the headache and will make you feel better”  Blaine took the drink making a face at the smell but drunk it all as his mom had requested.  A few seconds after finishing the drink he indeed did feel much better and the pounding had gone after a minute.  He looked around at everyone and said “Now can anyone tell me what just happened”

Mr Anderson looked down with clearly etched concern on his face and said “Blaine you had a vision and said ‘Look for the sun as the night is long along the dangerous pathway of ‘FATE’… Beware the Night of Terrors and Death those beings which come will be terrible to behold by mortals!’”

Blaine looked shocked not by having a vision he had already shown a strong ability for that, but at the words he uttered, because he remembered Kurt saying the first part over a week ago in his room when they shared the room after the Death shroud attack.  He then explained what he remembered and the other three looked over to Kurt as he too now looked shocked saying “Don’t ask me I don’t know if I said it or not or the meaning”

Mr Anderson’s concern grew exponentially at the last remark and excused him-self going to his library to telephone a colleague.  He came back in 15 minutes later saying that what had been said by both boys was part of the prophecy and that a senior member of the order of ‘Truth’ was coming overnight to see them in the morning.  Kurt said “Oh but I’ve got to be back by 11pm tonight” Mr Anderson said he had spoken to Burt and he reluctantly agreed that Kurt could stay the night and travel back to school tomorrow, after the visit by the senior member and he had also informed the school’s duty teacher of the events to inform the Dean in the morning too.

Both boys looked poleaxed by the events speeding by and what had occurred to them both in the last couple of weeks. 

Mrs Anderson said “Why don’t I fix everyone a drink, Richard a word please” and both parents left the boys with Cooper.

Cooper whistled and sucked his teeth then said “Wow guys you are both awesome, don’t you realise what this means” as he took in their confused looks saying “it has truly started and now we have to prepare.  I know enough but won’t tell you anything more until the Senior has talked to you both and we can talk about it when we go back to Dalton tomorrow.”

Blaine again looked confused saying “Umm, what do you mean when ‘We’ go back tomorrow?”  Coop laughed at this brother and said “Seriously Blaine after what we just told you and you thought one of us wouldn’t be going with you from now on.”  Blaine sobered at the thought of no Kurt and him time and replied out loud “All man!”  Kurt raised his eyebrow but on a tight line to Blaine said ‘don’t worry we can find time for us’ smiling as Blaine glanced his way and smirked too.

Then Mrs Anderson returned with hot chocolate and favourite night time drinks for everyone, and Mr Anderson followed with a book in his hands “Here take this and read the chapters I’ve marked in this book.” as he passed Blaine the book, Kurt looked over after taking a sip of his hot chocolate asking “What does that tell us?”

Mr Anderson looked over at the boys and answered “More than it should but then again probably not enough.  I need you both to read those chapters before tomorrow and your meeting with the ‘Senior’ ” the boys nodded their heads and then Mrs Anderson said “Kurt your in the bedroom next to Blaine’s okay.  Blaine honey I think it is time for the two of you to go up please as we have to prepare for the ‘Senior’s’ visit tomorrow” with that Blaine got up and waited for Kurt before starting for the stairs.

Kurt asked Blaine “Umm Blaine I haven’t got anything with me for a night sleep over” biting the side of his mouth.  Blaine looked back as he was climbing the stairway don’t worry I can sort that out with some sweats and t-shirt but no face products sorry, I can however get you a toothbrush to use.”

Kurt smiled back and followed Blaine up the stairs admiring the view both the back of Blaine’s form and the décor of the Anderson’s home.  Blaine caught Kurt staring at his backside and blushed but laughed when Kurt realised he had been caught out blushed even more.

Soon Blaine led Kurt to where he was supposed to sleep and then they both headed back to Blaine’s room for the night-time clothes and things.  Then when they had both changed into the sweats and t-shirts they settled reading the book together and thinking up questions to ask one-another.  They heard a knock before Cooper poked his head in and said “You both decent?” laughing at the indignant sounds coming from the boys “Just wanted to check to see if you have any questions that I might be able to answer”

Kurt asked “Coop there is a passage similar to the vision that both Blaine and I had. What does that mean?” Coop sat down and said “Well, as far as I can interpret this is what we think it means.  Firstly that we are to look at the Sun’s zenith or highest point and be ready for what is to come.  This means guys you have time until next summer, before the battle begins.”

Blaine looked at Kurt who returned his look and then shrugged saying “Well at least we know when the day is and can prepare for the coming battle. What with the extra training the school is teaching us I think we will be ready.”

Kurt looked at Blaine then Cooper and said “Okay I get the necessity but what is it we are to face?” Blaine looked over also wanting to know that fact.  Coop looked over to the boys and replied “Right this is the difficult bit, as we are not really sure what to expect or who as the prophecy describes ‘Beings’ hideous to mortals.”

Kurt thought a bit and then nodded “So the fact is Blaine and I have to wait until later this morning to speak to this ‘Senior’ to find out the answers” Cooper nodded and got up saying “Okay Kurt I’ll give you two five minutes then you have to go to your room Dad’s orders Blaine” as he saw Blaine’s dark look.

Kurt said “That’s fine Coop” Blaine looked at Kurt a bit puzzled but waited for Coop to leave then said “Kurt babe why is it fine” 

Kurt answered “Your Dad had a little talk with me before we joined you in the lounge earlier” Blaine looked thunderstruck and was on the verge of confronting his father over this but Kurt just placed his hand on Blaine’s arm which stopped him in his tracks. Kurt said to Blaine “Don’t it is their house their rules Blaine” Blaine sighed but that didn’t mean he liked it one bit.  Kurt scooted closer to Blaine and looked him in his eyes then soundly kissed his lips pressing all the feelings he felt into that one kiss to which Blaine just seemed to melt.  Then they heard Coop’s cough and broke away and Blaine said he would see Kurt later that morning, as Kurt left with Cooper he went into his en-suite and got ready for bed.

Kurt said goodnight to Coop and went inside to the bedroom he was staying in and wondered what on earth this all meant now.  But irritably felt that he didn’t have enough information and too many questions waiting for answers.  He headed in to the bathroom to brush his teeth and get ready for bed, no sooner had he laid his head down he heard an extremely loud scream from outside his window.  Kurt sat bolted upright in the bed looking at the direction of the where the scream came from next Blaine was rushing in through his door looking worried, dishevelled and sleepy at the same time. Soon enough Cooper and their parents were in the room too.

“Kurt! Are you alright?” Blaine asked “What the hell was that?” Kurt looked at them and said “I have absolutely no idea”

Then another scream echoed through the night outside Kurt’s window,  Cooper had wandered over to the window earlier as Blaine checked that Kurt was okay, and looked using his Arch-Angel powers and saw Karofsky mirrored image screaming in agony as he was repeatedly forced to move towards the force field that surrounded the grounds and home of the Anderson’s.  Coop said “Well that explains it” pointing out towards the tree line on the left of the property line as the others gathered around the window to look.

Kurt looked on and this seemed to incense Karofsky, and caused him to attack the force field yelping at the pain in-flicked by the protective spell.  There seemed to be something behind and using Karofsky to judge how strong the barrier was, as Blaine looked more closely and spotted a dark image controlling Karofsky.  Meanwhile everyone could see Karofsky battling to escape whatever had control of him and he seemed to be getting the better of the thing, as he managed to turn around shouting and cursing at the darkness that still had some control, he then reach forward engulfing the darkness and suddenly both vanished from the edge of the property.

With everything quiet again the Anderson’s and Kurt went back to their rooms, but Blaine snuck back to Kurt’s room and said “Scoot over Kurt I don’t care what my Dad said you’re not being left alone tonight” with that Kurt opened the comforter for Blaine to be the little spoon again and settled his arms around Blaine.

Kurt whispered “Thank you Blaine I don’t think I would have slept very well tonight with what has gone on this weekend” Blaine just kissed the back of Kurt’s hands as they settled again for sleep.  Both fell in to a blissfully uninterrupted sleep.

Kurt was the first to awake and looked down on Blaine’s unrulely curls touching them gently and breathing in Blaine’s fragrance.  Blaine stirred as though he felt Kurt’s scrutiny and opened one eye saying as he stretched “Morning beautiful” as he yawned popping his jaw.   Kurt lent down and kissed Blaine catching Blaine by surprise but he smiled into the kiss allowing Kurt to dictate it.

“Mmmm I like waking up to that” Blaine said as Kurt smiled and responded saying “Well you have to go back to your room before your family realise you have slept here with me.  Dad’s rules remember Blaine looking reproachful” Blaine pulled down his lower lip and dig puppy-dog eyes saying “But I’m nice and warm cuddling up to my Boyfriend, who I might add looks wonderful even after this weekend” he then kissed the end of Kurt’s nose and dived out of bed before Kurt could get to him and poked his tongue out before going out through the door.  He nearly jumped out of his skin when Coop said “Nice sleep I hope” Blaine recovered glaring at the teasing voice of his brother saying “I didn’t want Kurt to be alone last night, after what has happened over the weekend and losing a friend on top of it” the brothers continued the bantering in Blaine’s room as he got his clothes out ready to wear for Dalton and the meeting with the ‘Senior’ that morning. 

Coop left Blaine to get ready and walked on down to the breakfast room in the mansion saying good morning to his parents and asking if the senior had arrived.  The bell rang for the front door and Mr Anderson got up and went to answer it and returning with an elderly lady with midnight blue eyes that sparkled with mirth as she smiled at the others asking “Hello Anderson’s I am Senior member Clarice of the Order of Truth.  Where are the two boys that you spoke of as I see your eldest already here and he is not one of the two I have come to see being just an arch-angel.” Coop let the barb against him slide as he knew that Blaine would always be more important in the scheme of things and besides he loved his younger brother.

Just then all eyes turned towards the doorway as they could hear Blaine and Kurt talking becoming louder as they came closer both boys stopped in the doorway as they took stock of another person present. 

Clarice went over to the two young men and introduced herself and laughed because they had no idea what to call her in response to her enquiries of small talk.  Clarice found both boys to be endearing but underneath strength of character and power, especially in Kurt.

Finally, Clarice turned to Mr Anderson and asked for a secure and quiet room to talk to the boys alone.  Blaine’s father showed them all into his study and closed the door behind him when he left.

Clarice walked over to the desk and asked the boys to sit down in the chairs before her, then looked at them seriously asking “Now I hear we have had some troubles over the last week or two can you tell me from then what has happened to you in that time.”

Kurt and Blaine each told their sides of events and what had happened and Clarice interrupted to ask further questions or points of clarity over something they thought not worth remembering, soon enough Clarice had a pretty good picture of what had happened including the events of earlier that morning.

Kurt squirmed and Clarice asked “Do you want to ask a question Kurt it is alright to ask whether I can answer that is something I will try to do”

Kurt nodded then said “Clarice, umm, what does this all mean for Blaine and me.  We were told by Blaine’s Dad that we are to become life partners, as well as being part of a dynamic team to help against the battle to come.  Is that true?”

Blaine looked at Clarice intently as she answered “It was prophesised that the two of you would meet and fall in love with one another.  Looking at you two I see that has taken place although you both haven’t deepened that love yet.” Both boys blushed as they realised what she had meant, but they remained quiet as she continued with her answer “Kurt you shall be the fulcrum of the team the spearhead to lead and Blaine shall be your anchor.  You shall both lead the team when necessary but Kurt you must protect Blaine and Blaine you with Kurt.  This shall be the final defence for all of us that inhabit this world you two are the most precious things in existence at the moment.  We the order have been waiting for this day but I must do some quick tests to assure the order that you are who has been prophesised.” Kurt looked to Blaine and he shrugged his shoulders and they both nodded assent for Clarice to complete her tests.

Clarice rose from the desk and walked behind Kurt and placed her hands, one on his head (much to his chagrin and his thought of needing to redo his hair) and the other placed on his left shoulder.  Clarice concentrated and a glow emanated from her hands, and then engulfed both Kurt and Clarice in a soft white light.  After a few minutes the light vanished and Clarice removed her hands looking at Kurt with benevolence then turned to Blaine doing the same as she did with Kurt.

After Clarice tested the boys, she took up her stance against the desk and looked down at them with wonder shining from her face thinking all those years and here they are the Two saviours of the Earth.

Blaine and Kurt waited patiently in the chairs for Clarice to tell them anything further but she just smiled and said “You will know when the time is right for all things to be divulged and your minds will flood with all the understanding and information you require.  It has been ‘Fated’!” both boys jumped slightly at the last statement because of Blaine’s fuller vision last night.

Clarice noticed the jumps from the boys and knew why they had that reaction “Boys you are now set upon a road that cannot be diverted from but you must be protected from outside influence”

Blaine said “That is why my brother Coop is joining us at Dalton as a ‘Guardian’ while our parents go about their business with you and the Order”

Clarice nodded pursing her lips and then said “I think we need some breakfast and then we will leave for Dalton.” Kurt thought then that he had to go home to gather his stuff and say goodbye to his Dad and Carol.

Clarice caught that thought as it blazed across Kurt’s thoughts and she smiled at Kurt “Kurt I would love to meet your parents” Kurt glanced up at Clarice and stated “It’s my Dad and step-Mom Carol and my step-Brother Finn” Clarice nodded again and smiled taking the boys hands and leading them out through the now opened study doors and into the breakfast room.

“Okay boys what would you like to eat” Mrs Anderson asked, Blaine answered “The usual please Mom” smiling at his mom and then she looked over to Kurt and he said “Toast will be fine thank you Mrs Anderson” with their orders she left for the kitchen to prepare and make their breakfasts, as Clarice sat down at the table with a plate under a dish which held pancakes with syrup and fresh strawberries for her and a cup of fresh coffee.

Blaine poured him and Kurt each a cup of coffee and he sat next to Kurt waiting for his breakfast, soon his Mom reappeared with toast and pancakes for the boys.

After breakfast was eaten Clarice thanked the Anderson’s for their hospitality and that she was going to go with the boys, first to Kurt’s to pick his stuff up then on to Dalton.

Blaine rushed upstairs to get his things and came back down with his bag and case for Dalton, Kurt was thanking Mrs Anderson for the breakfast and walked with him to the front door, where he kissed his mom’s cheek and shook his Dad’s hand goodbye.

They drove over to Kurt’s house and saw cars parked around the drive and road, they had to park further up the street, and all four got out walking back to Kurt’s house.  Kurt let himself in to pandemonium, and crying as he rounded the corner he saw most of the New Directions there crying or comforting each other.  Finn noticed the new arrivals and said “Kurt…… it’s Artie he’s dead” and then Kurt was engulfed in crying girls bodies as they wept on him and around him.  The boys remained within reach of the girls and then Finn noticed Blaine, Cooper and another older lady with them.  He reached for Rachel and she let Kurt go and was immediately comforted by Finn in a big hug and then the other boys were reaching for the girls, except Britney and Santanna who were just clinging to each other.

Kurt knew the truth but played the shocked friend and ex-New Directions member immediately crying and reaching around for Blaine who was also alerted to Kurt’s charade involving Artie.  Carol and Burt came in then and looked at the scene noticing the new comers and Burt came over and hugged Kurt then shook Blaine and Cooper’s hands then Coop introduced Clarice as a New Teacher at Dalton to Burt and Carol.  Carol led Coop and Clarice back towards the dining area for a bit of respite away from the crying members of the New Directions.

Kurt was then told by the others that Artie had been attacked by an animal after everyone had said goodbye after the film and had died from his injuries on Saturday.  Kurt looked horrified but prayed none of them would ever remember the truth of what actually took place on that eventful day.

Kurt made his excuses and went upstairs with Blaine to get his things for Dalton and then came back downstairs to find most of the McKinley Students gone. Kurt dropped his things near the front door lobby and went back to where Burt, Carol, Cooper and Clarice had sat drinking coffee or tea.

Kurt asked “Where did they all go?” Burt replied “Most went on to school but your brother and Rachel are in the front room talking” Kurt nodded then Coop got up and thanked the Hudson-Hummel’s for the coffee saying “Well I had better get these two back to Dalton before they are reported for tardiness”

Clarice also added her thanks and walked out to the car waiting for the boys to follow, Kurt said his goodbyes to his Dad, Carol, Finn and hugging Rachel and then Blaine hugged her too.  This surprised her but Rachel was thankful for the hug and felt more at ease after it, then they with Coop walked back to Kurt’s car, loading his luggage and bag for Dalton into the back of the car.  Coop closed the boot and told the boys to take care as he walked back over to Blaine’s car opened it and got in with Clarice.  Kurt hugged his Dad again and kissed Carol then waved another goodbye as he and Blaine got into his car to follow Cooper back to Dalton Academy.

The drive back was uneventful and to take their minds off things they sang songs off Kurt’s iPod, which had been plugged into the cars speaker system.  They drove into the gates of Dalton and breathed a bit easier for the protection it offered and Kurt parked in his allocated space.  Cooper was already waiting with Blaine’s case and bag, as Kurt got his out and Blaine carried over the suitcase while he got his bag and closed the car boot locking the car afterwards.

Blaine asked his brother “Where is Clarice I thought she would be waiting with you” but Coop was already shaking his head and informed them that she headed for the Dean’s office as soon as they had parked.

Cooper asked them to lead the way to their rooms and he would follow, Kurt started out and the other two caught up.  As they entered the building for the dorm rooms, Sam was waiting for them in a high-backed leather chair but looked surprised to see Blaine there too, but even more so when he caught sight of Cooper. The former Angel looked at the Arch-Angel in adoration, then as Cooper caught sight and growled a warning Sam looked at the floor feeling ashamed. Kurt took pity and said “Sam what are you doing waiting for us” but Sam didn’t say anything, Cooper walked around and looked down at Sam asking him to “Look at me Sam Evans” in a commanding voice neither boy had heard from Cooper before “Why are you waiting for Kurt and Blaine”

Sam answered that he was only waiting for Kurt to give him a message from Bas,  Blaine frowned upon hearing this but Cooper persisted and again spoke in that voice “Sam you will tell me that message and you will become an angel again, but you must leave Dalton. Go to the office and tell them that you are to enrol today at McKinley high school, you’ll fit in there and join the Glee club.”

Sam told Cooper the message and beamed at Cooper before doing as he was told.  Cooper turned around and looked at the other two saying “One down and another returned to the order, now this Bas wanted you to meet him in the common room down the hall to get you to join him and away from Blaine he thought he could persuade you away” laughing at the disgusted look on both boys faces when Coop had uttered that.  Blaine just said “Gawd that guy never takes the hint. I seriously will have to go all action man on his arse to leave Kurt alone”

Kurt looked to Blaine and laughed saying “You are adorable, my Hero” and laughed harder at Blaine’s blush and Cooper’s laughter. Blaine muttered “Well he does need to be put in his place and told Kurt is not interested, and off the market for a Boyfriend he’s taken!”

Cooper laughed harder at that then composed himself as the boys headed off to their Dorm rooms to get ready for their class with Mr Fredericks.

Cooper dropped off Blaine's case at his door and followed Kurt to his dorm room just as Bas spotted Kurt and was walking towards him looking a bit frustrated that Sam hadn’t past on his request.  Cooper reached Kurt’s door first and blocked Bas’s way to Kurt asking “Can I help you” Bas looked at Cooper up and down then said “No thanks but I do need to speak with Kurt alone”.  Cooper looked intently at Bas then said in his Arch-Angel voice “No Demon he doesn’t need to see you…. EVER!” Bas flinched back and stood panting in shock, as if the Demon King himself had commanded him, he caught himself as he almost went down onto his knees. Then asked in trepidation “Who are you?” Cooper smiled  and said to Bas “You don’t want to find out, now Kurt is now anathema to you unless he requests your help got it” Bas just nodded his head in agreement “Good boy Bas, now on you go”.

Bas almost fell over himself to get away from Coop after their brief meeting and decided he would be early for a change in A P algebra.  Blaine had watched the altercation from his doorway and smirked at Bas when he rushed past down the corridor, Bas didn’t even look at Blaine but kept on going until he reached the safety of the outside then slowed down looking for Sam.

Back in Kurt’s room Coop knocked on his door and Kurt opened it smiling at Coop “I heard what you said” laughing slightly “you are mean but he did have that coming I suppose.  Especially after how he treated Blaine in the past.” At that last remark Coop looked back at Blaine as he was making his way down smiling at his older brother saying “Thanks Bro you don’t know how much I appreciated that” and Coop replied “So, that was the infamous Sebastian then” chuckling “Good I’m glad he got a taste of his own medicine”

Kurt remembered what Coop had said to Sam and smiled even more saying “Well he certainly won’t forget you now you have also gotten rid of his boyfriend and favourite lackey, but it will be to McKinley’s gain and I liked Sam”  Blaine smiled adding “Yeah he was great until his fall from grace and he took up with Bas”

Coop looked at both smiling then said “Right guys were to next?” both replied “Mr Fredericks class in the ‘Special’ class room” so all three made their way over to the next class after locking their doors.
