Today was the day. It was Kurt's first day at Dalton Academy. He was kind of nervous though excited too. For the first time in his high school life he wont be slushed and/or tossed into a dumpster. He awoke Monday morning, stretching and then realizing that he won't be able to pick what he wanted to wear. Breakfast went by in a huge blur of Finn whining about how unfair it was how he only got 5 pancakes. Carole eventually gave in and cooked a whole new batch of pancakes, which Finn successfully ate all of.
"Ok well see you guys later." Kurt chimed in while he stood up and pulled on his blazer. It took him about half an hour to drive to Westerville in his Navigator. Once he finally arrived he didn't know what the hell to do because everyone was running in every which way so he asked a short boy who had a huge mop of black hair and beautiful hazel eyes, rosy pink lips and a great smile.
"Hi, um I'm new here, may I ask what's going on?" Kurt said, giving this boy in front of him a small fright.
"I'm Blaine!" He replied, his mouth hung open then quickly turned into a smile.
"Kurt, Kurt Hummel." He replied shaking Blaine's tiny hand. Blaine seemed rather short – "What uh – what grade are you?"
"Junior. Oh and to answer your question The Warblers! They are our schools Glee club. Every now and then we put on a show, tends to shut the school down for a while." Blaine revealed, Kurt was a senior though.
"Whoa, your Glee Club here is actually kind of cool?" Kurt asked shocked.
"The Warblers are like –" Blaine thought for a moment "The Warblers are like rock stars! Here, come with me, I know a short cut." Blaine grabbed Kurt's hand again and led him through the decorated corridors of Dalton. They arrived in a little room full of dark blue, white and red – the school colors. There were so many boys in there. "Now if you'll excuse me." Blaine's sudden voice told Kurt. Blaine stepped out of the crowd and joined around fifteen other guys as they launched into there very own cover of 'Teenage Dream" followed by "Raise Your Glass" And as the closing number of "Hey, Soul Sister." Kurt was amazed at how well Blaine could sing. From the minute he opened his dreamboat mouth Kurt was entranced. His voice was extremely sex– amazing. Amazing. Once they'd finished Kurt was blushing because through the entire performance Blaine's eyes were locked on Kurt's and Kurt's on Blaine's. And when Blaine asked Kurt for a coffee after he was sure his face was cherry red.
"Can – uh, can I ask you a question?" Kurt asked quietly taking a sip of his Latte; Blaine nodded.
"A-are you g-gay?" Kurt was surprised he actually had the courage to ask that. Blaine laughed which made Kurt worry. "This isn't a gay school Kurt. Not every nice person is gay, but yes I am gay. Why? You like what you see Hummel?" Blaine laughed. Kurt was really embarrassed."Uh well – I – its – I'm just not really used to s-straight people being kind to me. But um no I didn't think this was agayschool." Kurt spoke. "So why'd you transfer?" Blaine said suddenly. "I um –" Kurt didn't like talking about it. "I got bullied." Kurt tried.
"I got bullied at my old school too" Blaine started. "I don't know how the fuck they found out I am gay, I mean I don't look gay, or sound gay – I know that's labeling – but still. And it really pissed me off. I got beat up, you know punched, smacked, all that shit. This one guy even dragged me behind our school and beat me with a baseball bat. That bastard but me in hospital" Blaine said to Kurt's surprise. As badly as Kurt was bullied, no bully had ever laid a hand on him. "So I left and I came here. As much as I regret running, I think me coming here was a wise choice. You didn't have to run from the bullies, Kurt. I understand being scared though, at least here you'll be safe." Blaine told Kurt.
Kurt jumped at a sudden voice coming from behind Blaine. "Who's really great?" A tall, dirty blond haired, merekat looking boy who showed up from no where asked. "Ahh Sebastian! Kurt, this is my boyfriend Sebastian. Oh and your really great Seb!" Blaine said without any hint of happiness or a smile. Great. Of course Blaine had a boyfriend. Kurt was stupid for even remotely thinking it possible that the amazing, sexy man sitting in front of him was single. It was odd though cause while Blaine was short, Sebastian was tall, real tall.
"I better go." Blaine told Kurt, as he ripped out a piece of paper from the notebook Kurt was cluthing. Kurt wasn't very happy about this at first but when Blaine handed Kurt the paper back with his number on it, he couldn't have cared less. Those seven little didgets led to Blaine's phone. Kurt could talk to him whenever he wanted. Blaine left Kurt, giving him a small wink and leaving Kurt with his mouth hanging open and at loss for words.
