Author's Notes:

Review, review, review! :*

After the cold reads, Blaine began inserting himself in some of the Parker and Janet scenes, testing himself as Logan. Some of them weren't as good as Kurt had expected, but Kurt knew it wasn't Blaine's fault. Kurt could tell he was trying to create chemistry in each scene, but others weren't as into it. After he did a few scenes, Blaine made his way back to the stage. He stood up there until everyone was quiet.

“Kurt, come here,” Blaine said firmly. Kurt stood immediately and walked briskly toward the stage before he processed what was happening. His body had reacted quickly to being given a command and Kurt's mind boggled even more. He just knew he didn't want to disappoint him.

Whoa, where did that come from?

Kurt shook his head and walked toward Blaine when he was finally on stage, stopping just a few feet away from him. Blaine smiled making Kurt blush.

“Good,” Blaine turned toward the audience. “Kurt and I will go through the Parker and Logan scene and I want you guys to notice how Kurt portrays Parker's character. I also want you guys to notice the amount of passion he puts into the scene,” he turned toward Kurt. “I assume you've memorized this scene?”

Kurt nodded frantically, “yes, sir.”

Blaine's eyes darkened and he nodded.

“Let's start then.”

Blaine and Kurt got into their places, silence hanging in the air around them.

Kurt breathed heavily and lost himself in the emotion, closing his arms around himself and looking toward the place where Janet made her exit before the start of the scene. His eyes glazed over and he felt the tears bubbling up before he felt Blaine's gentle hand on his shoulder. He looked up, watery blue meeting burning hazel.

“Who- who are you?” Kurt asked, getting ready to pull away from Blaine's hand, panic rising in his throat.

“Don't,” Blaine reached up to wipe a tear off of Kurt's cheek. “The whole neighbourhood heard your conversation with that girl.”

Kurt's eyes widened, and jerked away.

“You still didn't answer my question.”

“Logan,” Blaine said quietly, pulling away from Kurt slightly. Kurt found himself following Blaine's heat, but stopped himself. “And you must be Parker.”

“How do you…?” Kurt eyes furrowed, but realization dawned on him. “Right. The whole neighbourhood could hear.”

“Don't listen to her,” Blaine gushed out, resisting the urge to pull Kurt in his arms. “You don't have to hide who you are. Not here.”

Kurt's eyes watered even more than they already were. His arms wrapped even tighter around himself.

“How do I know I can trust you? We've only just met,” Kurt said, voice dropping to match Blaine's volume.

“I'm trustworthy. Trust me,” Blaine said, small smile playing on his lips.

“That sounds a lot like what an untrustworthy person would say. You're not really doing much for yourself,” Kurt snarked, cheeks flushed from the utter look of sincerity on Blaine's face.

“Well, we still have time for that,” Blaine said, grabbing Kurt's hand in his own and twining their fingers together. Kurt's heart melted in his chest until he was left with nothing but a warm thickness thrumming through him. His arms released their hold on himself and he let himself loosen around Blaine, body falling lax when Blaine gathered him in his arms.

The scene was over. He knew it was because people started clapping, but it took a good ten seconds to pull away from Blaine's heat. He could feel him all over, and his hair smelled like raspberries from where

Kurt's nose was pressed against the side of Blaine's head. But once his mind caught up with his body, he pulled away so quickly he almost fell.

“Sorry.”

“I'm so sorry.”

They both started at the same time and just like that the tension melted away and they started laughing, eyes crinkling on the faces both of them. The audience was still clapping and both of them turned toward the theatre.

“So,” Blaine began, sounding a bit hoarse. “I want you guys to tell me what you saw regarding the scene as a whole and the way Kurt immersed himself in his character.”

A few people raised their hands, but they all said the same thing: Blaine and Kurt created magnificent chemistry on stage. Kurt wasn't sure if he had connected to anyone that seriously on stage before. It was amazing and also terrifying because he wasn't sure where his boundaries were.

After the feedback from the other performers, Blaine told them to sit patiently while he talked to his team for a bit, patting Kurt on the back, touch burning through Kurt's thin t-shirt and onto his skin. He shivered at Blaine's warmth and left as quickly as possible, not wanting Blaine to notice his behavior. He sat down in his seat next to Steph and didn't say a word until he felt her hand on his. He startled at her touch and looked up.

“You okay? You kind of sprinted over here,” Steph said, concern on her face.

“Yeah. I'm good,” Kurt said simply trying to calm his flushed cheeks. Steph shook her head in mock affection, clearly not believing him.

“You were amazing up there by the way. The team would be absolutely stupid not to cast you as Parker.”

“Then they would have to be clinically insane if they didn't cast you as Janet,” Kurt said, touching his finger to her nose playfully. Steph shoved Kurt's shoulder and sat back, rolling her eyes. Kurt looked over at Blaine talking to the team quietly, moving his hands as he spoke. Kurt took that moment to study Blaine.

He was wearing a simple white t-shirt with a forest green cardigan pulled over it and tight, black skinnies which made his thighs look fantastic and his ass look edible. He wasn't wearing his contacts that day and perched on his perfect nose were glasses that made him look even more gorgeous than before which Kurt thought was impossible until then. His eyes were literally glowing that day and Kurt wasn't sure if it was the lighting in the theatre or his own imagination, but his eyes were mesmerizing nonetheless.

Blaine chose that exact moment to look over at Kurt, eyes more round than when he was on stage with him. Kurt found himself breathless and he couldn't even find embarrassment for the fact that he was just caught basically eye fucking him. They made eye contact for what felt like a lifetime and in that moment something passed through Kurt that could only be described as unadulterated submission. He knew in just those few seconds that he would give up anything for this man, whether it be small or big. All Kurt knew was that his heart was irrevocably Blaine's and nothing could change that.

Kurt's cheeks filled with heat when he grabbed hold of the reality of the moment and looked away embarrassed. He side glanced Blaine a few moments later, and he was back to talking with the team, maybe a little more flushed than before. Kurt's mind caught up and he nodded to whatever Stephanie was saying about what bar they should go to when they went out the next night. Kurt pretended to listen while his mind was trying to fit together a billion pieces.

Ever since he was a little kid, he had been impressionable to say the least. Anyone could tell Kurt what to do, and he would do it in a heartbeat. He knew he submitted to authority easily, and maybe that's what made him such an easy target in high school, but all he knew was that he found joy in doing things for people, especially people he loved unconditionally. With that knowledge, he assumed that's what was happening with Blaine.

Every time he was given a command by Blaine he did it immediately, no questions asked. He didn't want to disappoint him at all, even if the action was small. He also responded positively to being given praise. That's why he felt so jealous when Blaine praised Steph after her audition. He almost felt irrational about it, but he felt right doing things like that, and the thought of kneeling down in front of Blaine while his hands ran through his hair was more than a turn on.

Kurt nodded to himself. He knew what this was. He read about it briefly in high school during the awkward sex ed classes he forced himself to take. Dom and sub. Kurt was a sub who needed a Dom to care for him and guide him through this crazy world. But Kurt also needed a Dom he could take care of so he could feel equally as good. Blaine was Kurt's Dom, and he knew it from the moment he saw him step onto that stage at auditions. Kurt shook his head, smile forming on his lips.

“Okay, you're not listening to a word I'm saying and I'm pretty sure you've been staring at Blaine's ass for the past five minutes,” Steph pulled Kurt out of his thoughts violently making his cheeks redden even more than they already were. Kurt's eyes fluttered over to Steph's face where she wore a knowing smirk, eyebrows raised impressively.

“I'll have you know that I have been listening, and I was most definitely not looking at Blaine's… lower end,” Kurt finished awkwardly, tucking a stray strand back into his mess of hair.

“Mhhm,” Steph sassed, patting Kurt on the knee and looking away, humming to herself quietly.

“I wasn't!” Kurt tried, but Steph just continued to hum as if he were miles away. Kurt rolled his eyes and put his head on Steph's shoulder. Steph turned and placed a kiss in his hair making Kurt smile. They only knew each other for a few days and they already felt this comfortable with each other. His heart would be absolutely crushed if they weren't cast together.

Blaine finally made his way back to the center of the stage, grabbing the attention of all of the performers.

“Well, we were going to do something else today to make our casting decisions easier, but we've deliberated and decided we don't need to see any more from you guys, so thanks, all of you, for coming and auditioning. All of you are amazing, and I wish the best of luck to those who don't get casted,” Blaine finished with a clap of this hands and a sigh. “I guess that wraps it up. Have an amazing rest of your day.”

With that, Blaine walked to the small table and gathered his things. The team exited through the wings of the stage, chatting amicably. The small group in the theatre began filing out while Steph and Kurt stood up and started heading out. Kurt and Steph were almost out the door before a thought coursed through Kurt making him act on impulse.

“Oh, Steph I think I forgot my phone in the theatre. Do you mind waiting for me in the lobby?” Kurt asked, already backing up towards the auditorium.

“Of course,” Steph said, walking into the lobby. The theatre was empty except for Blaine who was still on the stage shuffling through some papers. Kurt walked up onto the stage and approached Blaine who looked up from over the rim of his glasses when he noticed Kurt was there.

“Hey, Kurt. Can I help you?” Blaine asked, setting down his papers and giving Kurt his full attention. Kurt shivered under his gaze, shifting from one foot to the other. Kurt was beginning to think this was a bad idea, but he smacked his brain mentally and forced himself to go through with it. He decided to get it over with and done.

“I was wondering if you wanted to go get some drinks tomorrow night with me and Stephanie,” Kurt rushed out, pausing to analyze the look on Blaine's face which was pretty much unreadable. “I mean, I get if you think it's too unprofessional to go out with someone who could possibly be your co star, but we just thought we could hang out and have a little fun before-” Kurt stopped when he felt a finger on his lips. He looked down to where Blaine was touching his mouth, eyeing his finger before looking up and into Blaine's eyes that were a mix of amusement and.. lust? No, stop it, Kurt. Not now.

“Of course I'll go out with you guys. Here,” Blaine went back to the table where he ripped a small piece of paper from his notepad and wrote something down, handing it to Kurt when he was done. “Send me the details tonight and I'll meet you there?”

Kurt stared down at the digits on the paper before looking back up at Blaine, confidence filling his veins with every passing second.

“It's a date,” Kurt said, smirking. Blaine smiled wide before nodding.

“It's a date.”
