"Rachel, I just dont think its a good idea right now. Maybe next year, but right now I have too much on my plate," Kurt tried to convince Rachel that inviting her cousin Blaine for Christmas might not be the best thing at the moment. Rachel pouted and walked toward Kurt, wrapping her arms around his waist.
"But he isnt doing anything and hes all alone-"
"Rachel... Theres something youre not telling me,"
Kurt knew from the sound of the womans voice that she was keeping something from him. He pulled away from her tight embrace to look in her eyes. A deep blush stained her olive-toned cheeks. She walked toward the couch and sat down, hands folded in her lap.
"Rachel, whats going on?" Kurt asked, sitting next to her on the red sofa.
"Fine," she gave up and looked up at Kurt and twisted a little to get a better view of his face, "I kind of already invited him."
"You what?!" Kurt exclaimed jumping from the couch.
"I invited him already," she said, a guilty expression shown on her face. Kurt looked at her, anger building, fists clenched at his sides. Rachel looked down and began rubbing her thumbs together. She shifted uncomfortably and looked back up, a tear slowly rolling down her cheek. Kurt took one look at her face and visibly relaxed. He unfolded his clenched fists and mentally calmed himself down.
"Rachel," Kurt sat back down and took her hands into his.
"Kurt, Im sorry. I know I shouldnt have but we were talking the other night and he said that he didnt have any plans for Christmas and then my friendly instincts took over," Kurt rolled his eyes at that, "and the next thing I know, Im inviting him to visit us for Christmas."
"Rachel, its okay. I mean, you should have asked first, but I forgive you," Kurt gently rubbed her back and kissed her forehead. Rachels mouth curved upward into the signature "Berry Smile."
"When will we be expecting him?" Kurt asked reluctantly, mentally racking his brain for the intense planning hell be doing.
"Tomorrow night," Rachel said quietly, looking away to hide her guilt covered face. Christmas was only 6 days away. How will he plan Christmas and keep his "guest" entertained as well? Kurt sighed, got up, and grabbed his planner on the coffee table.
"Well, looks like well be thoroughly planning for the next few hours," Kurt said, smirking at his roommate. She groaned.
23 hours and 50 minutes later, Kurt was patiently waiting for Blaine to arrive as he prepared dinner. Swordfish steak with mango chutney on curried lentils, his favorite recipe. He was just finishing up when the doorbell rang.
"Ill get it!" Rachel shouted, darting across the living room from the couch to the door. She yanked the door open and greeted Blaine with a warm hug.
"Blaine! How are you?" Rachel asked squeezing her cousin tightly.
"Im.. good... cant... breathe.." He choked out, trying to force Rachel off of him. She reluctantly let go and led him to the kitchen.
"Kurt, this is Blaine," Rachel showcased him, holding him at an arm's length from behind. Kurt turned around from the stove and forgot how to breathe once he laid eyes on the man standing in front of him. Blaine was wearing simple dark wash denim jeans that were rolled up above the ankles, black boat shoes, a tucked in red polo shirt that clung to his chest, and a navy blue bow tie. His black hair was gelled heavily and his sweet hazel eyes were piercing their way into Kurts soul. After a lifetime of staring at him, Kurt held out a hand.
"Kurt," he introduced himself.
"Blaine. Its a pleasure to meet you," he said taking Kurts hand and shaking it a little bit longer than was necessary. The room was silent for awhile before the timer erupted indicating that dinner was done. Kurt swiftly turned around and turned the burner off, starting to plate the food.
"Dinner will be ready in a couple of minutes. Um, Blaine?" Blaine looked up from where he was texting his mom about his safe landing, "you can set your stuff in the guest bedroom."
"Oh okay. Thank you," he walked out of the kitchen and into his room.
"What was all that about?" Rachel asked. Kurt blushed lightly and continued plating his food.
"I dont know what you're talking about."
"Yes you do, Kurt. You know," she smiled and came up to the side of Kurt.
"Honestly, Rachel. I dont know," Rachel hummed and silently left the kitchen and sat down on the couch. Was it that obvious? Kurt thought as he grabbed the plates and took them into the living room. Blaine was sitting with Rachel on the couch.
"Dinner is served," Kurt said, setting the three plates on the coffee table. They said their thank yous and Kurt went back to the kitchen to grab forks. He gave a fork to each of them and went over to the TV to put in a movie.
"Which one?" Kurt asked.
"Moulin Rouge!" Darren and Rachel said in unison. They both started giggling as Kurt set the DVD in the DVD player. This is going to be the longest week of my life, Kurt thought.
----------
The next morning, Kurt woke up to the sound of a shower turning on. He grumpily rolled out of bed and stumbled his way out of his room. He stopped outside of his room when he heard a deep, sweet, angelic voice coming from inside of the bathroom. He walked until he was right outside of the bathroom door. His heart flipped when he heard Blaine singing Teenage Dream in the shower. Wow. Nice song selection Blaine, Kurt thought sarcastically. He stood there listening to him sing until he heard the water cut off.
He quickly walked to the kitchen and started making breakfast. He was moving quickly around the tiny kitchen trying to get Blaines voice out of his head. Then he was thinking about Blaine in the shower and how amazing it would feel being in the shower with him and... Whoa Kurt. Hang on a second. Hes straight. Or so he thought.
Blaine walked into the kitchen with a towel hanging low on his hips and his dark curls resting against his forehead, dripping wet.
"Morning," he said nonchalantly. Kurt stared for awhile before opening his mouth.
"M- morning," he stammered incoherently. Blaine crossed the living room and into his room. Kurt stood there dumbly for a few minutes thinking about Blaine. His toned abs. The dark hair that scattered his chest. Not too much though, which was a complete turn off for Kurt. Blaine was muscular but not ripped. To say the least, he was sexy. Kurt shook his head, ridding his brain of any "Blaine thoughts."
He finished breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and freshly squeezed orange juice) and was plating the food when Blaine and Rachel came in. Rachel must have taken a shower earlier because her hair was still damp while she was completely ready for the day. Rachel dropped down next to Kurt and kissed his cheek.
"Thank you for breakfast!" She exhaled as she sat down in front of her plate.
"Thank you Kurt. You really didnt have to," Blaine said, adjusting the napkin onto his lap.
"Its okay honestly. Im the cook, Rachels the cleaner. Its how it works around here," Kurt replied matter-of-factly before taking a bite of his eggs.
Blaine smiled that oh-so-wonderful smile and began eating. Breakfast was quiet for the most part. The only time someone talked was when Blaine complimented Kurt on his cooking. When everyone had finished eating, Rachel took the plates to the sink and began washing them.
"Im gonna take a shower," Kurt said as he walked out of the kitchen and into the bathroom. He jumped out of the shower and got ready for the day. When he was done, he walked into the living room where Blaine and Rachel were sitting on the couch watching the news.
"Im gonna go buy a turkey before all of the good ones sell out," Kurt said, grabbing his keys from the hook near the door.
"Ill go with you," Blaine offered standing up from his place on the couch.
"You really dont have to. Ill be okay."
"I want to. You guys are letting me stay here. Its the least I can do," Blaine said pulling his coat and scarf on.
"Okay. Lets go. Well be back in a little bit, Rachel," Kurt said shoving his keys in his pocket.
"Alright. See you then." Rachel responded.
Oh boy.
----------
"So tell me about yourself," Kurt said as they were in the car driving to the store. Blaine looked up in surprise and shrugged.
"Theres nothing really to tell," Blaine replied, looking out of the window. Kurt looked over at his face and admired his natural beauty. The way he looked out of the window. His face was full of concentration.
"I find that hard to believe. Everybody has a story. Even if its lame," Kurt smiled and looked back at Blaine. Blaine looked hesitant at first but then gave in.
"Fine. Okay. My name is Blaine Anderson. Im 24. I was raised in Westerville, Ohio with my brother Cooper and my parents. I went to school at Dalton Academy and sang in the show choir there. They were called the Warblers. Before I went to Dalton, my life was a series of bullies at other schools," he looked down at his lap, seemingly gulping the lump that was in his throat, before continuing, "because Im gay."
Kurt looked up in surprise. Hes gay? Kurt performed a small victory dance in his head.
"I was afraid of telling you because I didnt know if youre homophobic or not and I might be wrong when I say this but youre gay too, arent you?" Blaine looked up and tilted his head slightly. Kurt exhaled and nodded. Blaine grinned and let his head fall before the car grew deep in silence.
"I was bullied, too," Blaine looked up when Kurt spoke after a while, "and I was in show choir. It also turns out that I went to school in Lima, Ohio."
Blaines eyes widened slightly and slouched in his chair before eliciting a small wow. They pulled up in front of the store before getting out and walking toward the entrance. They bought the turkey and went back to the car. The drive home was silent but it was filled with Kurt stealing quick glances at the other man. They arrived home and walked into the house.
"Rachel! Were home!" Kurt shouted as he walked into the kitchen and shoved the turkey into the freezer. Rachel came into the kitchen with her coat and boots on.
"Sorry guys. I have to go for a little bit. Brody needs help with his dance routine in Cassandras class," Rachel apologized as she slowly made her departure.
"Oh okay. Its fine. Im sure Blaine and I can find something to occupy ourselves with," Kurt reassured her. Rachel walked over to Kurt and hugged him then made her way over to Blaine and kissed him on the cheek.
"Be good. Both of you. I dont want to come home to a wrecked kitchen."
They both nodded and walked Rachel to the door. They waved goodbye and walked back to the living room.
"So. Do you want to watch a movie?" Kurt asked Blaine as he turned and kneeled down next to the entertainment center.
"Sure. Do you have Rent?" Kurt nodded and popped in the movie before journeying back to the couch. At first they were on two separate ends of the couch but as the movie progressed, they found themselves thigh to thigh. Kurts heart was pounding the whole time. He wanted to make a move but he wasnt sure if Blaine reciprocated his crush. He knew he liked Blaine but he only met him the day before. He shoved those thoughts away before taking a risk and leaning his head on Blaines shoulder. He felt Blaine tense underneath him and he was about to pull away before Blaine spoke, "no. Dont leave."
Kurt smiled and proceeded to cuddle into Blaines side. Blaine sighed contently and slouched further into the couch. The credits to the movie were rolling and Kurt looked over at Blaine who had completely gone slack and had fallen asleep. Kurt smiled as he gazed at the beautiful man in front of him. His dark eyelashes gently rested upon his rosy cheeks. His lips were slightly parted and his chest heaved up and down. He shifted a little beneath Kurts embrace and was now facing toward him. Kurt rose his hand to gently caress Blaines cheek. Maybe I could kiss him, Kurt thought. Hes asleep. If Im gentle enough, I wouldnt wake him. I just want to know the feeling.
So Kurt leaned in and gently pressed his lips against Blaines. Kurt let out a quiet whimper at the softness that met him. He allowed himself more time to revel before he pulled away slowly, stopping a few inches away from Blaines face. Blaines eyes gradually opened and looked at Kurt with blown pupils. Kurts heart started racing and he was about to apologize before he realized that Blaine dropped his pillow down a little, trying to cover up the very noticeable bulge, but Kurt saw.
"Its okay Blaine. Dont be embarrassed."
"I am embarrassed Kurt. I was dreaming about you... Shouldnt you be mortified?"
Kurt chuckled. "I kissed you when you were asleep. Shouldnt you be mortified?"
Kurt grabbed Blaines wrists and leaned him back against the arm of the couch. He kneeled in between his legs and bent over, hovering over the other man before maneuvering himself down and placing his lips onto Blaines. He moved his legs so he was straddling the shorter mans thighs and lowered his hips down. He ground his hips down onto Blaines achingly hard cock and their erections slid together in perfect rhythm. Kurt moaned loudly eliciting a small groan from Blaine.
They continued grinding on each other and then Kurt sat back up and started to pull Blaines shirt off. Blaine sat up to help and once it was completely off, Kurt stopped to stare at Blaines chest up close. Hed seen Blaine like this before. That morning actually. But there was something different that time. He stroked his abdominals with the tip of his index finger.
"Youre so beautiful," Kurt said, flicking the pad of his finger across Blaines nipple. Blaine writhed underneath Kurt.
"Please Kurt."
Kurt took that as a sign and started unbuttoning his pants. Blaine got to work on Kurts button down. The latter finished taking off the former's pants and once he was done, he couldnt stop staring. Blaine was wearing tight boxer briefs that outlined his hard cock, moistening a patch of the fabric with his pre-come. Blaine completely tore off Kurts shirt and threw it somewhere.
"Kur-" Kurt interrupted him as he brought his head down and started mouthing his fabric-covered member. And clothing is stupid, huh? Why is he still wearing these? Kurt tore of his underwear and flung them to the floor. Blaines cock was laying against his stomach. It was leaking pre-come already and Kurt couldnt help himself. He took the head into his mouth and gently sucked. Blaine moaned loudly and lifted his hands to tug on Kurts hair. Kurt hummed in pleasure which made Blaine buck his hips up wantonly. Kurt lifted his head up to smirk at Blaine, hearing Blaine's audible protest to Kurt's absence.
Kurt lowered his head once more and licked a stripe from the base of his cock to the tip before taking as much of Blaines dick as possible and humming a throaty moan. Blaine writhed and moaned beneath him in complete ecstasy. Kurt smiled slightly and continued sucking, hollowing his cheeks and bobbing up and down. Blaine was pulling on Kurts hair hard now and Kurt wasnt sure if it hurt or sent waves of pleasure through him. Kurt knew that Blaine was close and decided that he would swallow. He lifted his head and flicked his tongue over the tip. Blaine groaned so loud that the neighbours could have heard him. Kurt brought his hand up and started stroking Blaines balls.
"Fuck Kurt. So close. Hmm. So good," Blaine breathed.
Kurt sucked harder and faster, his hands continued playing with Blaine. Blaine flinched beneath Kurt and came into his awaiting mouth. Kurt swallowed around Blaines softening cock and came up. He kissed Blaine softly.
"Ill be ready for you in just a moment," Blaine mumbled, still coming down from his orgasm.
"No, its okay," Kurt leaned down and kissed Blaine once more before grabbing Blaine clothes and tossing them to him.
"For now, lets cuddle," Kurt laid down beside Blaine and hugged him close to his chest.
This week is going to be amazing, Kurt thought as he drifted to sleep with Blaine in his arms.
----------
Blaine woke up from the most blissful sleep he had had in a very long time. He woke up in Kurts arms. After all the conversations he had with Rachel, Kurt never came up. They talked about how she lived in New York and she did vaguely mention living with someone but she was never clear. She only made it clear that she had Kurt as a roommate the same call she invited him over for Christmas. The first time Blaine saw Kurt, he couldnt stop thinking about him. His beautiful blue eyes. The way his face scrunched up whenever he smiled. His pale flawless skin. His tall chiseled physique. Everything about him was absolutely perfect.
Now here he was. In this beautiful mans arms. The night before was amazing and Blaine had a feeling that every night for the next week would be amazing. Blaine turned around in Kurts embrace and snuggled closer to him, wrapping his arms around his waist. Kurt smelled like roses. He memorized his smell. Kurts eyes flickered open and rested on Blaines. They laid there staring at each other for some moments before Kurt lifted his hand and caressed Blaines cheek.
"Morning, Beautiful," Kurt said, stroking his thumb across Blaines cheekbone.
"Good morning," Blaine leaned into Kurts touch.
"It looks like we have some things to discuss, huh?" Kurt asked.
"Yeah. I guess."
They untangled their limbs and sat up on the couch. They sat in the center and leaned on one another.
"Youre leaving in a couple of days," Kurt said.
"I know..." Blaine played with the hem of Kurts shirt.
"What is this Blaine? I mean, we hardly know each other. I dont even know your parents names, for Petes sake! I think that we need to take a step back," Kurt broke away from Blaines warmth to look at him.
"Kurt. I saw your face and I just.. I knew. I knew that I have been looking for you forever. I know its too early to say I love you but I know that if I were to say I love you in the future.. I would want to say it to you."
Kurt blushed deeply and looked down at his lap. Blaine didnt want to screw anything up and he wasnt sure if he just did.
"Kurt.. Please say something."
Kurt looked back up and settled his eyes on Blaines. His eyes were turquoise. Blaine made that his new favorite color.
"Blaine. I met you two days ago. Whatever this is needs to be chill. At least for now. We cant jump into a full committed relationship. I mean, thats crazy. But we can start by being friends," Kurt half-smiled and looked at Blaine softly.
"Alright, Kurt. Friends. I can do that," Blaine took Kurts hand into his and gently stroked one of his knuckles with the pad of his thumb. Kurt pulled his hand away and looked at Blaine.
"Which means no intimate physical contact."
"Holding hands?!"
"Yes, Blaine. That includes holding hands," Kurt placed his hand on Blaines back before standing up.
"Can we at least, like, hug?" Blaine asked with a pout plastered on his face.
Kurt stopped to think for a moment before answering, "yes. Hugs are fine."
"And cuddling?"
"Hmmm.. Ill have to think about this one," Kurt smirked.
Blaine jumped up and started tickling Kurt fiercely, pinning him on the couch and eliciting a fit of giggles from the taller mans mouth. Blaines movements stopped and he was gazing into Kurts eyes before they heard someone clearing their throat. They jumped apart quickly and were now on opposite sides of the couch. Rachel was standing in front of the door with a bag in her hand, wearing one of Brodys sweatshirts. She stared at the two boys for a moment, trying to pick apart what she had just saw.
"Umm.. I brought breakfast," she said holding up the bag and setting it on the table.
"Thanks, Rach," Kurt said, attempting to control the urge to erupt in laughter.
"Alright, well. Im gonna get some rest. I barely slept at all last night trying to help Brody and all," she walked into her section of the small apartment.
Blaine and Kurt finally released their built up laughter and got up to eat breakfast. They sat together, eating silently before separating. They got ready for the day quickly, eager to spend as much time together as possible. Once they were finished, they met up in the living room.
"Sooo.." Kurt began awkwardly.
"We should go to Central Park," Blaine said, shoving his hands into his pockets and looking at Kurt.
"Central Park?" Kurt looked at Blaine, confusion written all over his face.
"Yeah. I heard its supposed to be even more romantic than Paris," Blaine smiled and Kurt punched him in the shoulder playfully.
----------
Blaine and Kurt were sitting on a bench in Central Park, feeding bread to the pigeons.
"Ya know.. You never did tell me about yourself," Blaine said, throwing a piece of bread a few feet in front of him.
"Theres nothing really to tell," Kurt mocked. Blaine put a hand over his heart, looking at Kurt dramatically.
"That hurt."
"Alright, alright. Okay. So. My name is Kurt Hummel. I am 23 years old, turning 24 in May. I was born and raised in Lima, Ohio. My parents took care of me up until my mom died when I was eight. It's been me and my pops ever since. I love him with my whole heart and we got each other through my mom's death. Its hard to talk about sometimes, but its gotten easier.
"Oh my God. Kurt. Im so sorry," Blaine hugged Kurt from the side, kissing his temple briefly. Kurt nodded and looked away, ignoring the sting in his chest.
"Its okay," he took a deep breath before continuing, "anyway. Like I said before, I was in Glee Club. I love singing. Its one of my favorite pass times, and I hope I get to show the world what I can do because I believe in dreams," Kurt finished off his speech by throwing a chunk of bread.
A flock of birds crowded around, trying to grasp the food as if their lives depended on it. Thats what Kurt felt like. He felt like he was dying, trying to grasp the one thing he needs to survive knowing that he will never get it. Blaine looked at Kurt lovingly before remembering their previous talk and looking away.
They got back to the apartment at 6 pm after walking around aimlessly and talking about their lives, not missing anything out. They ate lunch and dinner while they were out so when they got home, they immediately got ready for the end of the night and cuddled up in Kurts bed. Kurt decided that cuddles were okay, as long as it didnt go too far. They both fell asleep without hesitation.
----------
It had been 4 days since Blaine arrived and it was the 22nd of December. Blaine never wanted to leave. He wanted to stay there in Kurts arms for forever. But he had a life. And Kurt had a life. They would both have to go back to living their lives the day after Christmas.
That morning, they woke up and rolled out of bed clumsily, landing on each other on the floor.
"Oh my God," Kurt rolled off of the shorter man and covered his face with his hands in embarrassment. Blaine just chuckled and tugged Kurts hands away from covering up his beautifully chiseled face. Kurt cooperated and let Blaine take his hands in his. To Blaines surprise, Kurt didnt take his hands away. They just laid on the ground, facing each other, looking down at their clasped hands.
"We.. We should probably eat something," Kurt said, sitting up and dusting the imaginary particles off of his shoulders.
"Yeah. We should."
They made their way to the kitchen where Kurt made buttermilk pancakes. Blaine sat at the table, watching Kurt. Kurt was so beautiful. So talented. So vulnerable. Blaine wanting to protect Kurt and be there for him through everything. He observed every little movement Kurt made. When he set the spatula down: the way the top of his hands flexed, the way his wrist would flick back up and brush a stray strand of hair back into place. When he opened the refrigerator: the way his hand gripped the refrigerator door, the way his face scanned the food products looking for something, the way he bent over trying to get a better view. Blaine was an addict and Kurt was his drug.
Blaine snapped out of his trance when he saw a plate being set in front of him.
"Blaine, are you okay? You seem a little off right now," Kurt looked at Blaine in concern before turning around to grab the syrup.
"Oh everythings fine. I just.." He tried to think of something clever but nothing was coming to mind, "nothing..."
“Oh, alright,” Kurt sat down across from Blaine with his own plate of pancakes.
Sometimes Kurt just looks so elegant, Blaine thought. He couldn't stop watching him. Everything he did was done gracefully and nothing was left undone.
“What did you want to do today?” Blaine asked, stuffing a forkful of pancake into his mouth.
“Actually, I was going to go Christmas shopping today. I would ask you to help me, but I don't know if I can trust you to keep Rachel's present a secret,” Kurt smirked at Blaine before eating another bite of his breakfast and setting his fork down quietly.
I swear, everything he does is graceful..
“You know I can keep a secret, Kurt! I am super trusting. You can even ask Rachel,” Blaine tried to convince Kurt, but even he knew that he wasn't going to win. Kurt gave him his best “bitch please” look and Blaine just slouched over in defeat. Kurt grinned in satisfaction and went back to enjoying his meal.
If he's going out then this gives me the perfect opportunity to go Christmas shopping myself, Blaine thought.
Blaine and Kurt finished eating around the same time. Kurt went to the bathroom and took a shower before getting out and finishing his morning routine. Blaine got ready at the same time so when Kurt left the apartment to go shopping Blaine left a few minutes afterward.
----------
The first place Blaine went was the music store. He knew somebody growing up who worked there. He entered the small shop and stopped at the doorway.
“Welcome to Between the Sheets! How may I-” the employee stopped mid-sentence when he saw who was at the door.
“Oh my Gosh! Dude! How have you been?” Wes brought Blaine in for a giant hug, which Blaine was fully prepared for, thanks to the years of being, not only best friends, but roommates at Dalton.
“I'm good, Wes. How are you holding up?” Blaine asked, finally being let go.
“Oh, man, life is so good! New York is so alive and there are so many lights and, oh God, it's the best,” Wes turned away to go back behind the counter.
“So why are you here anyway, Blaine? I thought you were going to Yale,” Wes grabbed a bottle of water from behind the counter a took a quick swig.
“I'm just visiting my cousin Rachel for Christmas. I'm going Christmas shopping right now,” he replied, looking around the small building.
“So is there anything you wanted to see?” Wes asked.
Blaine was still looking around until his eyes settled on what he was looking for.
“There.”
----------
Kurt entered the large store knowing exactly what he was going to buy for Blaine. He already bought Rachel's present before Blaine even got there. Once he knew more about Blaine, he knew the perfect gift for the perfect guy. Kurt looked around before falling in love with the most beautiful of them all. He just had to get it. He bought the item and walked out of the store with a smile on his face.
Blaine arrived at the apartment before Kurt so he had time to wrap the present and put it under the short Christmas tree in the living room. He also put Rachel's pre-wrapped present underneath the dark green pine. When he finished cleaning everything up, Rachel woke up from her long slumber.
“Kurt is that you?” Rachel stumbled her way into the living room, rubbing her eyes.
“No, Rachel. It's your cousin,” Blaine said, holding on to Rachel, trying to stabilize her.
“Oh, Blainey!” She hugged him tightly and let him go, sitting down on the couch and snuggling into the plush pillows.
Just then, Kurt walked into the apartment with a neatly wrapped present in his right hand. He smiled and set the present underneath the tree.
“Looks like someone went Christmas shopping,” Kurt said looking at Blaine.
“I didn't want to tell you because you would've just said that I didn't have to and you don't like presents and blah, blah, blah,” Blaine sat down next to Rachel.
“He's right,” Rachel said sleepily.
“Okay. Fine,” Kurt said. He retreated for a moment and returned with another neatly wrapped present, setting it down underneath the tree.
“Why are you guys so early? I haven't even thought about your guys' presents,” Rachel said, slapping Blaine's arm playfully.
“It's okay, Rachel. You have a few more days,” Kurt said, seating himself down in one of the sofa chairs.
Blaine agreed, but then faltered when Kurt's words played over in his head.
You have a few more days...
----------
“Blaine! Come on, we're going ice skating!” Kurt jumped up and down on his bed rapidly, shaking Blaine awake. Blaine groaned and murmured, “five more minutes.”
“No,” Kurt said, ceasing his fast movements, “Oh come on, Blaine. It's a brand new day!” Kurt started jumping again. This time Blaine opened his eyes and sat up, rubbing his face.
It's not like Blaine didn't like spending time with Kurt, but everyday he reminds him of everyday he'll be without him. He'll be back home in just a couple of days and then he'll weather away into a sad nothing that puts himself in autopilot just to get through his life. He didn't know loneliness until he met Kurt. But he can at least make this limited time count.
“Alright! Alright.. calm down, Kurt. I'm getting up,” Kurt clapped his hands together and jumped down from the queen sized bed. He skipped out of the room, towel in hand.
“I'm gonna take a shower and then you can jump in after me,” Kurt called over his shoulder.
“Sounds like a plan,” Blaine said, walking into the kitchen and pouring himself a bowl of cereal. Just then, Rachel walked into the room sleepily. She rubbed her eyes with her palms and walked towards the table, half-awake.
“Mmm, morning Blaine.”
“Morning, Rach. Are you going skating with us today?” Blaine asked, scooping some cereal up with his spoon and putting it into his mouth.
“Yeah. What time did Kurt say we were going?” Rachel asked.
“I think last night he said we were taking off at 2,” Blaine grabbed the orange juice and poured some into his cup.
“Oh okay,” she pulled out a chair and sat down throwing her hands into her hair, trying to tame it, “are you taking a shower after Kurt?”
“Yeah,” Blaine took his bowl to the sink and rinsed it out.
Kurt walked out of the bathroom and crossed the kitchen to walk into his room.
“Bathroom's all yours, Anderson,” Kurt said, wiggling his hips as he approached his bedroom.
Blaine stared at Kurt's exposed back but finally tore his eyes away, escaping into the bathroom swiftly. Once in the warm embrace of the trickling water, Blaine finally let his tears break free. He didn't want to be a baby about all of it, but how can he suppress it? He knew that Kurt was the one. He just had a feeling. Whenever Kurt supplied him with the simplest of touches, he couldn't help the sudden flips he'd feel inside of his heart. He shook his head lightly and rid his face of his tears. They'll figure it out.
When Blaine was done, he stepped outside of the shower and wrapped the towel around his waist. He exited the bathroom and walked into his room to change. Once he was ready, he walked into the living room and gave Kurt the briefest of hugs. Kurt was startled at first but then leaned into the hug. Blaine pulled away and looked into Kurt's eyes.
“What was that for?” Kurt asked concerned.
“Nothing. I just realized what a good friend you are.”
Kurt smiled and walked into the kitchen. “Rachel's in the shower?”
“Yeah,” Kurt answered.
Rachel walked out of the bathroom right then with wet hair and a towel wrapped around her small figure.
“I'll be ready in just a sec, boys,” Rachel jogged into her room and got dressed in record time. She walked back into the kitchen, grabbing a banana.
“Ready?” She asked excitedly. Both men smiled and walked toward the door. They opened it and joined the people on the crowded streets.
----------
By the time they got to the ice skating rink, the place was entirely crowded. There were a lot of people in line to get ice skates and there were even more people actually skating. Rachel looked at the crowded arena in disbelief and turned back to the two boys. There was disappointment evident on her face and Kurt could see a lot of her in Blaine. They were the best when it came to pouting. Rachel started crying and Kurt opened his arms, offering his comfort. Rachel entered his embrace without hesitation and clung to Kurt's shirt.
“How are we going to skate in this mess?” Rachel asked sadly.
Kurt shrugged and Rachel started crying even harder. Kurt looked at Blaine in desperation and Blaine nodded, understanding.
“Rachel, it'll be okay. We can wait until it gets late. Not that many people will be here then. We can go get some cocoa in the meantime,” Blaine said, rubbing his cousin's back comfortingly. Rachel poked her head out from where it was buried in Kurt's scarf.
“You mean it?” Rachel asked.
“Of course,” Blaine grinned.
Rachel smiled widely and jumped out of Kurt's embrace in utter excitement. She hugged Blaine and kissed him on the cheek.
“Alright, then it's settled!” She started walking toward the street, the two men in tow.
They walked along the pavement, pointing to certain Christmas decorations and laughing at fake Santa Clauses and just enjoying each others' presence. While they were walking, Kurt looked at Blaine discreetly. He knew that he would leave soon and he mourned the day that that would happen. He loved being friends with Blaine-- he was probably the best part of the day-- but he wouldn't be lying if he said that he wanted to be more. Ever since the night he walked into the kitchen with his big, dopey grin, Kurt couldn't stop thinking about him. The way he talked and the way he smiled and the way he would brush stray strands away from Kurt's eyes. He loved everything about Blaine and wanted to be around him all the time.
Kurt looked at Blaine on the cold night while they were walking to the corner cafe. He couldn't help but notice all the dips and curves of Blaine's face. The way his eyes light up when he saw something beautiful. The way the Christmas lights reflected in his golden eyes. The way he smiled when the group passed by something funny. Kurt thought he was absolutely stunning. Kurt didn't know how long he was staring but he escaped out of his trance when Rachel started tugging on his arm.
“Kurt! We're here. I'm gonna go to the bathroom. Can you and Blaine order for me?” Kurt nodded and followed Blaine to the cafe line.
“Are you okay, Kurt? You seemed a little off just now,” Blaine observed, bringing his hand to rest on Kurt's forehead, checking for a temperature.
“Oh, no. I'm fine, thank you. I just keep thinking about how wonderful today is turning out to be,” Kurt said, smiling at Blaine.
Blaine smiled back and pushed back a fallen strand of hair that was gently caressing Kurt's forehead. Kurt blushed and turned away, looking at the menu. They moved forward and ordered three hot chocolates. They sat down at the corner booth before Rachel emerged from the bathroom. She spotted Kurt and Blaine and skipped playfully to the table, plopping down next to Kurt and scooping up the warm cup into her hands. She took a sip and moaned, closing her eyes as if it'll make her enjoy the drink more.
“You guys have to try it. I've never been here before. We definitely have to come again,” Rachel bounced up and down in her seat before gesturing to the cups that the boys were still holding.
They both brought their lips to the cups and took a sip simultaneously. Both of them moaned in response to the warm liquid.
“Wow. That is good,” Blaine said, grinning up at Kurt who nodded in agreement. Rachel squealed in delight and hugged Kurt.
That hot chocolate is making Rachel crazy… Kurt thought as he went in for another sip of the delicious cocoa.
----------
When they finished their drinks, they parted from the warm atmosphere of the cafe and journeyed out into the cold night, making their way back to the rink. They were shivering by the time they got back and decided to sit on a bench by the ice skate pick-up line.
“I'm going to get in line,” Rachel declared, standing up and jogging over to the shortened column of people.
Kurt nodded and unknowingly cuddled into Blaine's side. Blaine sighed in contentment and snaked his arm around Kurt's waist. Kurt buried his head into the crook of Blaine's neck and they just sat there, wrapped in each other's warmth.
“Kurt,” Blaine said trying to get his friend's attention. Kurt hummed in response, burying his head into Blaine's neck even further- if that was even possible.
“Kurt, I can't do this anymore,” Blaine said, squeezing Kurt's hip.
Kurt blinked in confusion and lifted his head to inspect Blaine's face.
“What do you mean?” Kurt asked uncertainly.
“What I mean is, you want us to be friends,” Kurt nodded, “but I can't do it,” Blaine said, dropping his head in his hands. Kurt looked at him, tears starting to form in his eyes.
“I can't do it, Kurt. I walk around the apartment trying to avoid staring at your gorgeous face. Trying to avoid wrapping you up in my arms and kissing you. Trying to resist the urge of wanting you. Just wanting you. And I want you so bad,” Blaine's face was still hidden in his palms. Kurt tugged his hands away from hiding his face so he would look at him. Blaine's eyes stayed glued to the ground so Kurt lifted his chin up with his index finger.
“Blai-” Kurt was cut off by the sound of Rachel's voice calling their names. She was running toward them with three pairs of skates in her hands.
“Guys! I got skates!” She shouted from a short distance away. The two men smiled and thanked Rachel, accepting the skates and putting them on.
Once the skates were finally on, the three friends ventured out into the rink and started mindlessly skating around the large expanse of ice. White Christmas started blaring out of the speakers, one of Kurt's favorite Christmas songs. Kurt started singing along with the music under his breath, but Blaine must've noticed because he was suddenly skating beside him and singing along, too.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten
And the children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow
Kurt smiled at Blaine's goofiness and continued singing into the cold night.
Im dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all
Your Christmases be white
Blaine took hold of Kurt's hand, not paying attention to Kurt's warning about intimate physical contact he made a few days before.
Im dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases
May all your Christmases
May all your Christmases
May all your Christmases be white
They were standing in the center of the rink now and Blaine was slowly approaching Kurt. Kurt's heart sped up and his mind kept crying out, he's going to kiss me. He's going to kiss me. Oh please, Blaine. Please kiss me.
Kurt's eyes closed and silently waited for Blaine's lips to touch his. When it never came, Kurt opened his eyes and saw Blaine grinning before he skated to the side and left Kurt in bewilderment. Kurt's mind caught up to him and he chased after Blaine.
Im dreaming of a white
Christmas with you
Jingle Bells
All the way, all the way
The song ended and they escaped the arena, having their fill of ice skating. They returned their skates then sat down at a table that was further away from the rink then their previous bench. They sat close together now, not worried about the strange looks that were thrown their way.
“Blaine,” Kurt looked at Blaine who looked back at him curiously. Blaine's lip quivered slightly causing Kurt's heart to do flips that he's never felt before Blaine walked into his life.
“Blaine, why me?” Blaine looked at Kurt confusedly and began to open his mouth before Kurt beat him to it, “I mean, honestly. I'm disgustingly pale, my nose is oddly shaped, my teeth are really small. What do you even see in a guy like me?” Kurt asked, staring into Blaine's eyes for an explanation.
“Kurt,” Blaine looked at the younger man adoringly, “I don't see those things the way you do. You're skin is flawlessly pale. It's a beautiful skin tone that drew me in the minute I saw you. You're nose is adorable and is not, in fact, oddly shaped. And your smile is amazing. It lights everything up. Kurt, you are absolutely stunning. It's time you start seeing that,” Blaine grabbed Kurt's hand and squeezed it lightly. Kurt's face relaxed. He settled his eyes upon Blaine's and they gazed at one another.
Kurt doesn't remember when he started moving, but all he knew that was he was leaning forward. His eyes flickered down to Blaine's mouth and then back up to his eyes. He tried to search for anything that said he didn't want to be kissed. He found nothing so he closed the distance between them and brought Blaine in for a small kiss. It was slow and tender. Their lips moved languidly, their heads tilted slightly. Kurt broke the kiss first and backed away. Both men smiling like they saw the sun for the first time.
----------
After Rachel finished with her skating, she raced up to the other two. She perched herself onto Kurt's lap and bounced up and down.
“Ungh, Rachel! You may have a sweet face, but you sure do have a boney ass,” Rachel jumped off, too happy to even care that her best friend insulted her.
“Guys! You will not believe what just happened,” Rachel was shaking her hands rapidly and shifting weight from one foot to the other. Blaine and Kurt watched her go insane, waiting for her to continue.
“Oh yeah, okay. So, I was skating and I bumped into this really attractive guy and then I fell- I was so embarrassed.. anyway, he skated up to me and he was all like,” Rachel enhanced her voice to sound like a guy then said, “‘oh I'm so sorry, miss. I wasn't watching where I was going,'” she went back to her normal voice, “and then he offered me his hand! His name is Sam, by the way. And then we were talking and, oh my God, Kurt.. he is so beautiful,” Rachel swung her arms around Kurt's neck and began hopping again.
“Wow.. that's a really intense story. Rachel, has anyone told you that you squeeze too much?” Kurt asked, grasping for Rachel's arms.
“And then guess what happened? He asked me out! We're going out tonight,” Rachel pulled away from Kurt.
“Wait, what about Brody?” Blaine asked.
“Yeah. Aren't you two going out,” Kurt chimed in.
“What? No. He's just my friend. Anyway, there's Sam right now. Act cool. I am civilized,” she walked away and met Sam who was standing a short distance away.
Kurt turned around and smiled at Blaine who was “casually” staring at Kurt.
“Why are you staring at me?” Kurt asked.
“Because you're beautiful.”
Kurt scoffed and crossed his legs, resting his head on his hand. Blaine tilted his head and looked at Kurt further, squinting his eyes as if it'll grant him more access to Kurt's appearance. Kurt rolled his eyes and covered his face.
“No! C'mon Kurt, I love your face,” Blaine grabbed Kurt's wrists and brought his hands down, exposing his face, “there it is. You're sweet angel face.”
Kurt blushed and looked down. Blaine smiled and pulled back, sitting back in his seat clearly satisfied.
“So, it looks like we have the house to ourselves
tonight,” Blaine said, smirking.
“It looks like it,” Kurt returned the smile and stood up. He offered Blaine his hand, and he took it eagerly. They walked hand in hand back to the apartment.
----------
The two boys didn't waste any time savaging one another once they stepped through the door. They clawed at each others' clothing, planting sloppy kisses to any exposed skin they could find. They stumbled their way back into the bedroom where Kurt pushed Blaine down onto the bed. Blaine smiled and let Kurt take the lead. Kurt climbed on top of him and devoured Blaine's face, sliding his tongue into Blaine's mouth. Blaine moaned and pushed his hips up to meet Kurt's fully erect cock. Kurt groaned in response and grinded back down. They continued grinding on one another, panting and sweating.
When Kurt felt the familiar release climb it's way into his stomach, he had to pull back. He didn't want it to end so soon. He needed to feel this with Blaine. He needed to feel it.. slowly. When Kurt pulled back, Blaine looked at him with disappointment in his eyes.
“Is- is everything alright?” Blaine asked. Kurt looked at him and smiled. Everything's perfect with you…
Kurt leaned back down and kissed him. His tongue darted, asking for Blaine's approval. Blaine opened his mouth excitedly and flipped them over. Kurt wrapped his legs around the dark-haired boy's waist and brought him closer. Blaine smiled and obliged, scooting closer to the taller man. He leaned down and kissed him, wrapping his hands around Kurt's wrists and holding them above his head. Kurt moaned into the kiss, pulling Blaine impossibly closer. They pulled back and Blaine studied Kurt's face. His lips were bright pink and swollen. There was a light blush stained on his cheeks and his hair was falling out of its quiff. Blaine smiled at him and brushed a strand of hair that was in his eyes. Kurt smiled in gratitude and pulled his wrists free from Blaine's grip. He brought his hands up to unbutton Blaine's shirt.
Blaine understood and started pulling off Kurt's shirt. Once their shirts were off, they were touching everywhere. Blaine couldn't stop from stroking Kurt's sides, running his hands up so he could squeeze his biceps. Kurt brought his hands up to caress Blaine abdominals, paying attention to every dip and rise. They stayed like that for a while until Blaine leaned down and kissed Kurt passionately. When he pulled back, their lips were lightly brushing. Blaine stroked Kurt's cheekbone gingerly.
“You're so beautiful, Kurt,” Blaine said, kissing Kurt's nose. Kurt blushed and looked back at him.
“I may be beautiful, but my boyfriend's the sexiest man alive,” Kurt said. After he said boyfriend, Blaine raised his eyebrow. Kurt blushed and looked down.
“Boyfriends?” Blaine asked, testing the word out on his tongue. Kurt nodded sheepishly and looked up with sparkling eyes. Blaine's heart skipped a beat at the sight.
“Y-yeah. I mean, if you don't want to… I mean.. we could.. ya know, just be-” Blaine shut him up by putting his mouth on Kurt's. Kurt hesitated at first but then relaxed into the kiss. Blaine pulled back all too soon and looked into Kurt's eyes.
“I thought you'd never ask,” Blaine smiled at Kurt and shifted his weight down onto Kurt, rubbing their erections together. Kurt gasped softly and responded, jerking his hips up.
That night when the two boys came, each other's names falling off their lips in synchronicity, they silently made a promise that they would always be there for each other. Always.
----------
Kurt woke up slowly, adjusting his eyes to the bright light that was streaming in from the large window. He rubbed his eyes groggily and looked over at the other man. A smile appeared on his face and he rested his chin on his knees while still holding his gaze on Blaine.
Kurt couldn't believe that Blaine was his. Blaine who smiled dopily and whose laugh sent chills down Kurt's spine. Blaine whose dark curls fell into his eyes inviting Kurt to brush them away. Blaine whose eyes were like melting honey and dark eyelashes that batted innocently. Kurt grinned and brought his hand up to Blaine's face, caressing his cheek gently. Blaine's eyes fluttered open and he smiled at the porcelain man in front of him.
Blaine lifted his hand to cover Kurt's on his cheek. They lay there for a few moments, gazing into each other's eyes.
After several minutes, Blaine sat up in the bad and leaned in, resting his head on Kurt's shoulder. Kurt chuckled lightly and pressed a kiss to Blaine's temple.
“Morning, Gorgeous,” Kurt said, intertwining his fingers with Blaine's.
“Good morning,” Blaine lifted his head to look at Kurt. Kurt's eyes sparkled blue in the sun and his skin was pale and flawless. As always. Kurt inhaled deeply before jumping out of bed and grabbing his boxers off the floor. Blaine caught a glimpse of Kurt's ass and smiled to himself. Kurt turned around with a blush staining his cheeks. Blaine winked and jumped out of bed himself, quickly grabbing his own boxers and pulling them over his sore legs. Blaine grimaced and limped out of the bedroom. He could hear Kurt laughing behind him before he felt two strong arms wrapping around his waist. Kurt kissing him tenderly on the shoulder.
“You're going to pay, honey,” Blaine said, rubbing his ass gingerly. Kurt giggled adorably and pushed Blaine toward the bathroom.
“Go take a shower. I'll make breakfast. I think I'll just take a shower after you,” Kurt walked out of the room and hummed his way into the kitchen where he whipped up the batter for buttermilk pancakes.
When the first pancake was on the pan, he danced around the tiny kitchen before hearing his phone ring from inside the bedroom. He looked down the hallway in confusion, wondering who could be calling. He jogged lightly to the room, stopping in front of the night stand and picking up his phone. Rachel's face showed bright on the screen and Kurt answered.
“Hey, Kurt!” Kurt held the phone away from his ear when Rachel's chipper voice filled the speaker. Kurt blinked a couple of times before answering.
“Morning, Rachel. Sleep well?” Kurt asked, already knowing the answer.
“I actually didn't get much sleep. New Yorker boys can be so feisty,” Rachel replied, sighing dramatically at the end of her sentence.
“So you enjoyed yourself?” Kurt asked.
“Of course I did! What do you take me for, Hummel?” Rachel asked sarcastically. Kurt laughed, walking into the kitchen where he flipped the almost burnt pancake.
“So, he wanted to take me out today. Again. He wants to get to know me. We kind of just went to his place without knowing anything about each other,” Rachel said dreamily. “Not that I'm complaining. Kurt, oh my gosh. He rocked. My. World.”
“Please save me from the terrifying details. I don't want to be scarred,” Kurt laughed. Rachel obliged thoughtfully.
“So anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I might not be home until this evening. As I assume you and Blaine can find something to entertain yourselves,” Rachel added. Blaine walked into the kitchen with a towel wrapped loosely around his waist.
“I'm sure I can figure out a few things,” Kurt bit his lip playfully. Blaine walked over to his boyfriend and kissed his neck from behind.
“Alright then! It's settled. I'll call you later to let you know what time I'll be home,” Rachel said. Kurt laughed when Blaine started tickling his mid section.
“O- ok Rach! I'm s- sorry,” Kurt laughed in between his words. “Alight. T- talk to you later?” Kurt breathed out.
“Yeah. Talk to you later then,” Rachel replied suspiciously. Kurt ended the call and flipped the pancake onto the platter. He turned around in Blaine's arms that were now resting around his waist, kissing him passionately on the lips. Blaine deepened the kiss even more, moaning into Kurt's mouth. Kurt wrapped his arms around Blaine's neck, spatula in hand. Blaine explored the creamy skin on Kurt's back as he kissed down his jaw. Kurt moaned as he tightened his grip around the shorter man.
The olive toned lover licked down his neck, moving his way to his Adam's Apple where he sucked sloppily. Kurt felt his boxer briefs get extremely tight as his cock grew harder by the second. Blaine lifted Kurt to sit on the counter, never taking his lips off of his neck. The blue-eyed man wrapped his legs around his waist and moved his hands to the dark curls.
Blaine moaned as Kurt tugged gently on his hair, sucking the skin underneath Kurt's ear.
“Blaine.. oh God,” Kurt exhaled, squeezing Blaine's neck for dear life. Blaine just smiled against the taller man's neck, making his kisses less lustful. He planted feather kisses up his jaw before kissing Kurt gently on the lips, lifting him up to set him upright on the floor.
Kurt giggled when Blaine moved his hands to his ass, massaging the flesh that they were met with. Kurt pulled back and looked into honey colored eyes, stroking his cheek softly. Blaine leaned into his touch before turning his head and kissing his palm.
“You're so beautiful, Blaine,” Kurt said before kissing him once more. Blaine smiled.
“You're adorable,” he replied, pushing off of Kurt. Kurt laughed and continued making breakfast.
“What was Rachel talking to you about on the phone?” Blaine asked, rummaging through the fridge for something to drink.
“Oh she was just calling to tell me that she won't be home until this evening. She's hanging out with that dude she met last night,” Kurt said, smirking at the other man who was adorably pouring a glass of orange juice. He didn't even know why it was so adorable. It just was. Everything he did had a certain degree of adorableness that drove Kurt insane.
“Well, it looks like we're alone for,” Blaine lifted his arm and looked at the invisible watch on his wrist. “Many hours. You game, Hummel?”
“As long as you are, Anderson,” Kurt smirked, turning toward the stove before pouring a new pancake on the skillet.
----------
After they had finished breakfast, they decided to just lounge around in sweatpants and t-shirts just in case anything spontaneous commenced during their time together. Around twelve o'clock, they made their way into the living room, wanting to watch a movie. After spending quite a long time deciding what movie to watch, they settled down on the loveseats while the opening credits for Moulin Rouge appeared on the screen. Kurt snuggled into Blaine's side a little more before resting his head on his shoulder.
Blaine looked down at the beautiful man beside him and smiled. If someone told him that when he went to go visit his cousin for Christmas, he'd find the love of his life there, he would've told them to piss off. Wait… love? Is that what he felt with Kurt. He looked down at Kurt once more and smiled. Maybe he did love Kurt. Kurt looked up and stared into Blaine's eyes, his lips turned up.
“Ya know, you'll miss the movie if you keep staring at me,” he said, smiling when Blaine's cheeks toned a bright pink. Kurt lifted his hand to brush a few stray hairs away from Blaine's forehead. His finger traced a line down his rosy cheek and stopped at the corner of his mouth. Blaine turned his head and kissed the tip of Kurt's finger, staring into Kurt's blue orbs the entire time. Kurt's eyes mesmerized him. One look into those bad boys and you're a goner. Kurt smiled when Blaine moved forward and climbed on top of Kurt, straddling him against the red couch. His dark curls tickled Kurt's cheek as his lips made their way down his jaw and latched themselves onto his neck.
Kurt moaned and rested his hands on Blaine's waist, bucking his hips up on instinct. Blaine giggled playfully and began sucking like he did previously in the kitchen. Kurt whimpered, releasing his legs from Blaine's hold and then wrapping them around his waist. Blaine began tugging on Kurt's t-shirt desperately, wanting to feel Kurt's skin against his own. Kurt let him pull of the shirt over his head before settling back down against the arm of the sofa. After laying there for a few silent moments without being touched, Kurt opened his eyes to see Blaine staring at Kurt's chest in awe.
“Is this going to happen every time?” Kurt asked thoughtfully, grinning when Blaine snapped out of trance to look at the half naked boy in front of him.
“I'd like to get my mack on right about now,” Blaine laughed lightly and leaned down to suck on Kurt's nipple. Kurt, not being prepared, fastened his grip on Blaine's hair, tugging hard. Blaine moaned around the hardening nub and brought his hands up to stroke down Kurt's sides. Kurt couldn't keep his hips down any longer. He bucked his pelvis up, searching for friction. Any friction at all.
Oh, the glorious friction, Kurt thought as his head spinned uncontrollably.
Blaine grinded his hips down onto Kurt's with a painfully hard cock. They both moaned in unison, rocking back and forth in rhythm. Kurt opened his eyes, realizing that his satisfaction was not yet fulfilled. He pulled on the front of Blaine's shirt, making him open his eyes. They were darker than the sweet honey eyes that he saw earlier. Now he saw lust-blown pupils.
“This needs to go,” Kurt said, tugging at the Star Wars t-shirt he had on. Blaine did as told and basically ripped it off of his beautiful body. Once it was gone, Kurt wasted no time to ravage his torso with his hands. Blaine leaned back down until their chests were flush together. They both whimpered in pleasure, both writhing in need.
Kurt continued their previous movements and began jerking his hips upward, eliciting a growl from Blaine. Was that a growl? Kurt thought to himself but didn't have the common sense of mind to even answer his own questioning thoughts. Blaine brought his head down, nipping at Kurt's neck before licking it it entirely.
“So… close,” Blaine breathed out, grinding down even harder than before. Kurt nodded his head, beads of sweat running down his forehead.
“Me too,” Kurt managed out of his mouth.
Kurt felt Blaine tense above him, coming hard inside his boxers while screaming out Kurt's name. That alone brought Kurt to the sweet bliss he was waiting for, also moaning out the name of his significant other. They rocked each other through their orgasms, panting heavily. Kurt's head relaxed against the plush pillow that was supporting his neck. Blaine dropped his head into the crook of Kurt's neck, kissing the dip that connected his shoulder and neck. Kurt turned his head to kiss Blaine's jaw.
After a few minutes of regaining strength, Blaine lifted himself off of Kurt and laid beside him, draping his arms across his waist. Kurt was the first to speak.
“I love you.”
Blaine stopped breathing. His heart stopped pumping blood. His hand gripped harder on Kurt's side, pulling the taller boy closer to him subconsciously. His lips turned upward without even knowing and his brain shut down. All he could think was, Kurt loves me.
After what seemed like an eternity he replied, “I'm so in love with you right now. And I'll be in love with you until the end of time.”
Kurt smiled and turned onto his side so he faced Blaine. “I hope so.”
Blaine smiled before kissing his adorable nose and cuddling into him. Kurt wrapped Blaine into him, kissing his temple and falling into a dreamless sleep with the love of his life in his arms.
The last thing Blaine thought before letting sleep take over him was, Now and Forever…
----------
Waking up and the first thing Blaine thought was, I'm never gonna see him again after today. Blaine turned around in Kurt's arms, wrapping Kurt up in his instead. He memorized every line and curve of his lover's face. The slope of his nose, the way his lips would twitch based on what he was dreaming, the slight blush he always seemed to have, his eyelashes. Blaine felt a pang in his chest at the thought of not being able to see Kurt's face everyday of his life, not being able to kiss his lips.
Blaine sighed and sat up on the couch, running his hands through his hair in agitation. Kurt. His Kurt. He turned his head when he felt stirring behind him. Kurt fluttered his eyes open, cerulean meeting hazel. They stared at each other for what seemed like a lifetime, Blaine drowning in Kurt's oceans. Finally, Blaine forced a smile onto his face, coming back down on the couch to nuzzle Kurt's neck.
“Merry Christmas, darling,” Blaine whispered, kissing Kurt's neck softly. He felt Kurt smile against his cheek.
“Merry Christmas,” Kurt replied, hugging Blaine briefly before getting up. Kurt had a mischievous glint in his eye, something that confused Blaine. What is he planning?
“C'mon, lazy bones. Go get Rachel, I'll start on breakfast. We'll open presents after,” Kurt said, pulling Blaine up from off the couch. Blaine couldn't help but smile at Kurt's enthusiasm, pushing his previous thoughts to the back of his head. He had to think about the positive until he left New York.
“Okay, okay. But,” Blaine looked down at the stained boxers hanging low on his hips. “I think I might have to take a shower first.”
Kurt smirked, pulling Blaine in towards him and kissing him fiercely before pulling back, eyes boring into Blaine's.
“You better get on that then,” Kurt said before walking towards the kitchen, hips swaying back and forth. Blaine moaned and hurried to the bathroom, closing the door behind him with a sigh. He's going to be the death of me.
After Blaine finished with his shower, he wrapped a towel around his waist and walked out. He chuckled at the silly sight before him. Kurt stood in front of the stove, dancing to the Christmas music coming from the stereo on the counter. Blaine shook his head in admiration and walked to the guest bedroom where he changed into a white button up and dark jeans. When he walked back out, a robe clad Rachel was already sitting at the table sipping coffee.
“Merry Christmas, Rach,” Blaine hugged Rachel from behind, kissing her temple.
“Merry Christmas, Blainey,” Rachel replied softly, hugging Blaine back.
He loved his relationship with Rachel. She was family and he knew she would do anything for him and he would do the same for her. He smiled warmly at her before looking around for Kurt who was nowhere to be found. Rachel sensed his confusion.
“Hes in the shower,” Rachel said. Blaine hummed in understanding, walking to the counter where he poured himself a cup of coffee. He sat back down where him and Rachel sat in comfortable silence.
“Blaine, I came home last night and saw you and Kurt on the couch,” Rachel said, a knowing smile on her face. Blaine snapped his head up, his eyes wide at his cousin's statement. He hadnt even thought about Rachel coming home the night before.
“I- well, I… You see I-”
“Blaine, its cool. I just wanted to say that I hope all goes well with that. And for the record,” Rachel leaned in closer and dropped her voice. “I knew all along.”
Blaine sighed a breath of relief and looked up at Rachel.
“Youre not mad?” Blaine asked. Rachel blinked.
“Why would I be mad? I was hoping you guys would get together anyway. Thats kind of why I wanted to invite you over for Christmas. Well, I wanted to see you of course, but I also wanted you to get with Kurt. Both of you guys are terrifyingly lonely, so I thought why not.”
Blaine's heart flooded with warmth at Rachel's approval. He got up and hugged the brunette, squeezing her tightly.
“Thank you.”
Rachel smiled, “no problem, Blainey.”
Just then Kurt walked out of the bathroom, fully dressed in a black button down and black skinnies. He looked great. Blaine walked up to Kurt and leaned in to kiss him. Kurt's eyes went wide and put a hand on Blaine's chest, motioning toward Rachel with his eyes.
“Its okay, Kurt. I know,” Rachel said, taking a sip of her coffee.
“What?” Kurt asked, bewildered.
“Yeah, turns out she knew this whole time. She was just waiting for us to get our shit together,” Blaine said, grin plastered on his face. He saw Kurt slowly smile, eyes still wide in amazement. He looked at Blaine, running his hand up to play with the curls at the nape of his companion's neck.
“I can kiss you then,” Kurt said.
“Please do.”
They met in the middle, both with smiles on their faces. Kurt wrapped his arms around Blaine's neck while the latter squeezed the formers hips.
“Okay, I said I approved your relationship. I never said I wanted to experience all of the love making secondhand,” Rachel said, covering her eyes with her mug.
The two boys broke apart, their foreheads leaning on one another.
“We should eat,” Kurt said.
“Yeah,” Blaine pecked Kurt quickly before turning toward the stove where he plated his food. Kurt and Rachel followed suit and soon they were all in the living room, eating omelettes and sharing stories about past Christmases. Once they were finished, Kurt put their dishes away, coming back with three cups of eggnog. Blaine and Rachel accepting the drink delightfully before Kurt raised his glass.
“Id like to make a toast. Lets drink to family and friends and love,” Kurt looked at Blaine then to Rachel. His two best friends. “Because without those things, wed all die of insanity.”
“Hear, hear!” Blaine and Rachel cheered in unison. They all laughed before drinking from their cups simultaneously.
“Present time!” Rachel squealed, eggnog splashing in her cup from where it was nestled in her pumping fist. Kurt and Blaine shook their heads, both thinking about how crazy Rachel was but how much they both loved her. Kurt walked over to the tree, bending down to pick up Rachel's present from him.
“Here, Rach. This is for you,” Kurt handed the box to the brunette, sitting on the sofa chair closest to Blaine. Rachel smiled in gratitude before opening up the small box, gasping at what she saw.
“You're kidding, right?” Rachel covered her mouth with her hand. “Kurt, you can't be serious.”
Rachel reached into the box and pulled out a pair of small diamond stud earrings the girl had been eyeing on their last visit to Tiffany's. Kurt smiled at Rachel's reaction, chuckling more at the look on her face.
“Those were the one's you wanted, right?” Kurt asked, knowing the answer.
“Kurt, I love them. You really shouldn't have bought these for me, I mean-”
“Rachel, stop talking,” Kurt interrupted, fond smile on his face. “I wanted to get them for you.”
Rachel just smiled in response, getting up to hug Kurt tightly.
“Thank you.”
“You're welcome.”
“Put them on,” Kurt heard Blaine say. Kurt smiled at Blaine while Rachel just squealed, taking her seat where she put them on.
“They look great on you, Rach,” Blaine complimented. Kurt smiled fondly over at his lover. He's just so nice, jeez. Kurt got up and reached for Blaine's presents, handing them to him before sitting down.
“These are for you,” Kurt said softly. Their eyes met lovingly before Blaine accepted the box and the envelope. Blaine smiled at Kurt and reached for the immaculately wrapped box. He slowly and carefully unwrapped the box and set the wrapping paper down neatly on the coffee table.
“Really, Blaine?” Kurt asked, eyebrow raised impressively.
“Sorry, sorry. Just savoring the moment,” Blaine opened the lid to the small box, small smile faltering at what he saw. A forest green bow with gold trimming lay nestled on royal purple tissue paper. Blaine's heart gave a double thump at the sight, tears stinging behind his eyes.
“Do you like it?” Kurt asked softly beside him.
Blaine gave a weak, watery laugh before nodding. He didn't know why he was so emotional. One time his mom gave him a bow tie for Christmas when he was 14. He wasn't sad then. What made this situation different? It's because it's Kurt.
Blaine picked up the bow, setting the box down on the table.
“Here, let me..” Kurt took the bow tie gently out of the shorter man's hands and carefully slid the bow through Blaine's collar. Blaine stared at Kurt as he focused at the task at hand. His tongue stuck out of his mouth thoughtfully. After he was done, he pulled back, marvelling at his work.
“You look great,” Kurt whispered. Blaine smiled and leaned forward, kissing Kurt quickly before pulling away.
“You really do look good,” Rachel spoke up. Blaine turned toward his cousin.
“Thanks, Rachel,” Blaine turned toward the taller man. “And thank you.”
“You're very welcome.”
He picked up the envelope next, kind of scared to open it. What could he have possibly gotten me that comes in an envelope? He decided to just look and save him from his own confusion. He untucked the flap and pulled out the neatly folded stack of papers from inside. Blaine's eyebrows furrowed. He looked up at Kurt who nodded his head to continue. Blaine looked back down, let out a breath, and unfolded it.
“Kurt, wha-”
“Its a one way ticket back to Westerville scheduled for January 1,” Kurt informed lowly. Blaine snapped his head up to look at Kurt, eyes wide.
“You looked really bummed about leaving so soon, so I thought you'd like to stay until after New Years. Im gonna be honest, I wanted you to stay longer anyway, so its a win for both of us.”
“But-”
“And dont give me that crap about it “being too much” because I wanted to do this for you and for me,” Kurt smiled. Blaine gawked for moments on end, looking from the papers in his hand to the taller man across from him. Finally, his eyes settled on Kurt.
“I dont know what to say,” Blaine admitted. It took all of Blaine's strength not to jump Kurt right there.
“You can start by saying thank you,” Rachel whispered from her spot on the couch. Blaine flushed but stood to give Kurt a hug.
“Thank you. So much,” he whispered in Kurt's neck.
“Youre welcome.”
Blaine stood straight and not so discretely wiped the tears from his eyes. Kurt shook his head in adoration.
“Okay!” Blaine clapped his hands together. “My turn!”
Blaine picked up a bag from under the tree and handed it to Rachel. Rachel smiled and accepted the present, taking out the tissue paper one at a time.
“Oh my gosh!” Rachel's laugh filled the room. “I cant believe you kept this!”
Rachel pulled out a small trophy from inside the bag. On the front were engraved words that said “First Place for the Annual Song and Dance Competition in Westerville, Ohio.”
“When I was nine and Blainey was eight we both joined a singing and dance competition. I won the singing category, but Blaine didnt even place. Blainey was so sad after that, and me being the nice little child I was,” Kurt saw Blaine shake his head. “I gave him my trophy.”
“I felt bad after that but kept it anyways cause you had like a gabillion trophies, and I had yet to get one,” Blaine said.
“Thats because you didnt want to join any of the competitions I joined. You kept going on and on about how you wanted to be different from me.”
“And the one time I agreed to do one with you, I didnt even place. As per usual,” Blaine said, but his mouth turned up into a smile. Kurt smiled at the two cousins' playful banter.
“I think its sweet,” Kurt piped up. Blaine and Rachel both turned and smiled at him.
“So do I. Thanks, Blainers,” Rachel said, putting the trophy back in the bag. Blaine nodded before reaching down to pick up Kurt's present. He handed it to Kurt who's smile enlarged.
“Jeez, what did you get me? Bricks?” Kurt joked.
“Just open it.”
Kurt smiled before tearing off the wrapping paper. His eyes widened when they settled on a black, vintage record player. He looked up at Blaine who was smiling down at him.
“How-”
“I know a guy,” Blaine smiled, sitting back down at his designated seat. He watched Kurt drool over the record player, Christmas tree lights dancing in his irises. Blaine couldnt stop smiling. Kurt looked back up at Blaine, grin spreading across his face.
“I love it. Thank you, Blaine,” Kurt set the record player aside and hugged Blaine, kissing his cheek once before pulling away.
“I know its nothing special or big like, you know, lets say a plane ticket, but-”
Blaine was cut off when warm lips slammed onto his. Blaines eyes fluttered close, but the contact left as soon as it came.
“I said I loved it,” Kurt whispered. Blaine only nodded, choosing not to push the situation further.
“My turn!” Rachel shouted, breaking the two lovebirds' moment. Blaine and Kurt moved apart and turned toward the overexcited puppy on the other side of the coffee table. Rachel bent down and pick up a giant wad of wrapping paper, handing it to Kurt.
“Wow, Rach. You really know how to wrap,” Blaine commented.
“Shut up,” she mumbled, blushing.
“It's the thought that counts,” Kurt reassured Rachel. Both boys could almost see her figurative tail wagging behind her.
Kurt tore open the package, smiling at what he saw.
“Were you guys in kahoot with each other?” Kurt laughed, pulling out four vinyl records, all by artists he loved. Blaine and Rachel glanced at each other with smiles on their faces which gave way the expected answer.
“I love it, guys. Thank you.”
Rachel leaned down to grab Blaine's present, handing it to him. Blaine accepted it gratefully and opened it. Blaine felt his chest feel with warmth at what he saw. He picked up a wooden frame, a picture of him and Kurt nuzzled together outside of the ice skating rink. He looked up at Rachel who just nodded. He smiled a watery smile. He honestly didn't think he was going to stop crying at all that night.
“You're amazing Rachel,” Blaine said. He leaned over to kiss her on the cheek. He showed Kurt the picture who blushed and looked at Blaine with love in his eyes.
Unkindled love.

December 31 (11:55pm)
“You know youre amazing, right?” Kurt asked, bringing his arms up and around Blaine's neck. Blaine's face twisted contemplatively.
“Hmm.. maybe. Do you know how amazing I am?”
“That depends.”
“On what?”
“Will you let me show you?” Blaine chuckled.
“That depends.”
“On what?”
“Does it involve your lips on mine?” Blaine wasnt able to finish getting his mouth to form into a smirk before Kurt's lips pressed against his. The shorter man whimpered into the kiss, squeezing Kurt's hips in his grip. They pulled apart, foreheads resting on one another.
They both turned to look at the ball that was slowly dropping in the middle of Times Square. They both spotted Rachel and Sam a few meters away, nuzzling together in the frosty, New York air. Kurt smiled and turned back towards his two week lover.
Two weeks.
Kurt shook his head at his own naivety, thinking back on how he was so willing to give his heart to someone he had only known for a day. When he was younger he didnt believe in love at first sight. In fact, he couldnt stand the people around him who dedicated their lives to someone that they barely knew. The mere thought of such a thing baffled him. Yet, here he was, loving a man who he knew for only two weeks.
On occasion, Kurt would stop and think that he had made a mistake by being with Blaine. He would stop and nearly regret jumping into the relationship at the pace that they did. But seeing Blaine's smile made all of those thoughts disappear. He knew Blaine was the one and although he never believed in such things, he prayed to every deity he knew not to take Blaine away from him. There would be no way that he could live without Blaine by his side.
A thrill coursed through him every time he thought about a future with Blaine. Boyfriends, fiancés, husbands, and maybe even fathers if it came around to it. Kurt smiled. Blaine would make the best father. Kurt knew Blaine would be gone the day after, and he knew that long-distance would be hard on both of them, but Blaine was worth it. Their relationship was worth. They would make it work no matter what.
He turned to study his lover's profile. Everything about the curly-haired man made Kurt's knees go weak. He sighed internally and tightened his hold on Blaine's neck. Blaine turned towards him, neither of them saying a word.
“Five!”
Blaine blinked.
“Four!”
Kurt smiled.
“Three!”
Blaine blushed.
“Two!”
Kurt leaned forward.
“One!”
“Im so in love with you,” they said together before touching their lips together.
“HAPPY NEW YEAR!”
