Author's Notes: Alright, this is just Kurt telling Rachel about what happened. Kind of short, but I had to get this conversation out of my head. You know, it's alot like lightning. (Anyone? CC/SBL refrenece? No, just me? ok..)
“Where were you?” Was the first thing Kurt heard when he stepped inside the apartment.
Kurt took off his coat and scarve and hung them on the coat rack. “Getting coffee?” He replied.
“For an hour, Kurt? It only takes you 10 mins to walk to the coffee shop and back. What could have possibly kept you for so long?” Rachel said rather loudly, while taking her coffee from Kurt. “And where is yours?”
“Well, I spilled my first one. The second one was drunk while talking to someone.” Kurt said, the second part mumbled off.
“The second one what?”
“I ran into someone on the street, spilling our coffees. He offered to buy me a new one. We talked for a little bit and I learned that he likes to play guitar, and actually has a gig on Friday night. He asked me to come and bring you too. Then he had to leave, but we exchanged numbers first. After he left, I eventually got your coffee and came back. Happy?” Kurt blurted out in a rush, hoping to skip the part where Blaine was the most attractive and sweetest guy Kurt has ever met in his life.
“Wait, he wants you to go to his gig? How come you didn't tell me this first?” Rachel questioned with an offended look on her face.
Kurt looked down ashamed, then answered quietly after a few moments, “Because I was planning on not telling you so I could go on my own. I was just going to tell him that you couldn't.”
“Kurt! You totally like him! You know you could have just told me that you wanted to go alone. I would have went along with it! But you owe me all the little details.” Rachel replied with a small, knowing smile.
“Thanks, Rachel. Alright, what details do you want?” Kurt asked while putting in Moulin Rouge into the DVD player and settling on the couch. He pulled a blanket onto himself and looked at Rachel, waiting for her questions.
“First of all, what is this mysterious man’s name?” Rachel asked, with a little too much giddiness.
“Blaine.” Kurt smiled at the image of him in his head. Blaine. Blaine with the honey eyes that you could melt into, the messy curls that you just want run your hands through. Blaine with the big smile and great personality. Kurt gave a hopeless sigh, and looked at Rachel.
She heard his sigh, then said, “Seems like quite the charmer, if he’s got you daydreaming.” She smiled. “So what are you going to wear on Friday?”
Kurt nearly jumped and touched the ceiling. “Oh, no! I don’t know what to wear! I have to wear something stylish, but not to flashy. What if he doesn’t like a certain color, what if-”
He was cut off from his babbling freak out by Rachel grabbing his shoulders and shaking them. “Kurt! It will be fine! Calm down, ok? I will help you.”
“Um, no offense Rachel, but I would rather get fashion advice from a squirrel.” Kurt replied with a small smile, then hurried off to his room to write an article for work and think up an outfit for Friday.
End Notes: Next chapter will probably be from Blaine's POV. That way we can see what he thinks of Kurt. ;)
