Hey guys, new rule, update after I knew it got out on FF
It was eight-five when Santana and Brittany finally came, "Thank you for coming on time." Kurt said sarcastically as his first greeting upon opening the door to let them in.
"We're five minutes late, it's not much of a difference." Santana said.
"It is." Kurt said.
"Whatever." Santana said with an eye roll.
"We were stuck in traffic." Sierra said. Kurt nodded.
"The triplets are upstairs napping, they should wake up for their bottles soon. Um... Logan, Cory's in his room. Sierra, Jessie's in hers or Damion's in the living room." Kurt said. The two kids ran off, "There's a list of things that need to be done and emergency numbers just in case. Call me if you need anything. Lucy will be coming over after her shift if one of us is not back before then." Kurt rushed.
"I think we got it." Santana said.
"Oh, alright." Kurt said, slinging his gym bag around his shoulder.
"Now go, enjoy your kid free day." Santana pushed. Kurt began for the door but stopped as he placed his hand on the knob.
"Be gentle to them." Kurt said. Santana motioned for him to go, "Right, first time I'm leaving their sides in a long time. Haven't left them since the triplets and all-"
"Gosh, Anderson-Hummel, do wanna go to the gym or not?" Santana asked, annoyed.
"You're right, you're right." Kurt said, "Bye kids!" He then called out with no response before leaving.
It wasn't long until Santana heard the crying coming from the baby monitor in the girls' room. She walked upstairs and retrieved Macy from her crib she walked her downstairs and sat her in her seat, making sure that she was buckled in so she wouldn't go anywhere. She grabbed the bottle already prepared with Macy's name taped on it so Santana knew who it belonged to and put it in the warmer. Macy squirmed in her chair as she continued to cry. It really annoyed Santana.
"Our kids were so much more well behaved than this." Santana said to Brittany. Brittany shrugged, "It's true. They hardly cried and when they did it wasn't as loud."
"All babies are different. Like unicorns. No two babies are the same. Some are more special than others and if you try to change it they will no longer be the unique creature it once was. It's you in a different skin."
"Wow, Brit. That's really wise."
"I know." The bottle warmer dinged and Santana took it out. She picked Macy up with her free hand and gave her the bottle.
"But I have to admit, they are cute." Santana smiled down at Macy As she walked over and sat down on the chair she left pulled out. That's when the sound of the second baby came through one of the monitors, "Can you get them, Brit?" Brittany got up and went to get the second one, Matthew. She cane back down to find Jesabelle grabbing the bottle out of the warmer. She handed it to Brittany.
"I thought you might need help. I'll pull the other one out. Mary should be waking-" And just as Jesabelle knew the screams of the last baby came through.
"How are we-"
"I got it." Jesabelle said setting the bottle in the warmer then left to get her little sister. She came back down cradling Mary in her arms and looking down at her with warm eyes.
"You're a great sister." Santana said.
"Wow, thanks San, that's so unlike you but the great sister thing is a lie."
"Why? You're holding such a delicate baby like you do it all the time."
"Because I'm greedy. I rather hang with my friends then help my parents."
"We're all like that. Who wouldn't want to hang out with their friends rather than help your parents and siblings?" Jesabelle looked down at Mary as she fed off the bottle, "How's the others?"
"Um, Logan and Cory are coloring in some coloring books and Damion and Sierra are building with legos." Jesabelle answered.
"As long as they're staying out of trouble. I'm not in the mood to be beotching at a bunch of kids."
"Bitching"
"Excuse?"
"You're allowed to swear in front of me."
"Your fathers don't seem like the type of people-"
"Dad and father don't know what I do when they're not around."
"Oh my God, do you smoke?"
"No! And I have no intentions on doing so either."
"Sex?"
"I'm a virgin."
"Chew?"
"Nope!"
"Drink? Do drugs?"
"No and no."
"Then what do you do?"
"Talk about sex and swear like a canary."
"How can you tell which one is which?" Brittany asked Santana as they watched the triplets squirm on their backs in their playpen as they looked up at the mobile attached to it.
"How should I know? They're names are on their cribs, that's how I knew which one was which but now..."
"Hey, watcha guys talking about?" Jesabelle asked as she approached the two women.
"Jessie, how do you tell which one is which?" Santana asked.
"Simple." Jesabelle answered, "That one's Matthew." She pointed to the boy, "That one's Macy." She moved to the chestnut, "And that's Mary." She moved to the red head.
"How do you know that?" Santana asked.
Jesabelle shrugged, "I guess... maybe because I live with them... I don't know... I named Macy."
"I'm here!" Lucy called from the hall as she walked through the door.
"In the living room!" Santana called back.
Lucy walked in and let out a little giggle, "Is Jessie helping?"
"Yes." Jesabelle smiled.
"Alright, Missy Lulu-" Santana began.
"Lucy."
"Whatever. How can you tell the triplets apart?"
Lucy approached the playpen and looked down into it, "You mean you don't know? They're not identical." Lucy looked up at Brittany and Santana then back down at the babies, "Look, they all have full heads of hair. Matthew is obviously the boy. Mary has red hair and Macy has Kurt's chestnut."
"Okay, next question. How did Matthew and Mary get red hair?"
Lucy shrugged, "Genetics...?"
"But neither one of them are red headed." Santana pointed out, "Kurt has chestnut and Blaine's is black."
"Something made their heads red."
"I'm going with mutation." Santana answered.
"You and your theory on the mutant triplets."
"Well..."
