Finn, Rachel and Santana took their seats in the theater and waited for the play to start. The play started as always opening to "All That Jazz" which was amusing to Finn as he watched Velma shake her ass. Rachel noticed about halfway through the number and slapped his shoulder, Adding that, tonight, Santana thought as she watched Finn being slapped.
Santana was sitting next to young man around their age who seemed to cheer the most after a scene with Blaine and gave a look of disgust during a Kurt scene. It was Nick of course. After Kurt's performance of "Mr. Cellophane" Nickgave a thumbs down and whispered boo as Kurt left the stage. Santana had enough, of course the number wasn't to her liking, but, that was because she didn't like 'Chicago' or many musicals to that matter, but, she thought Kurt sounded descent and that nobody picked on Kurt except for her, "What's your problem?" She asked leaning in Nick' s direction.
"My problem is that man." He answered.
"Why, he's not that bad." Santana said.
"He was, scratch that isa rival of mine from high school."
"Why?" Santana asked, scrunching her eyebrows together.
"He was in this glee club back at my home state and they stole a Regionals trophy from us."
"Did you live in Ohio?"
"Yes."
"Were you a Warbler?"
Nick swallowed, She was in the New Directions too, He thought, "Yes," He said holding his hand out, "names Nick."
"So your the Nick, Blaine talks about when he's with Kurt." Santana said shaking Nick' s hand.
"So he does talk about his friend that he lives with."
"Only about your day. Usually he talks about his quote on quote 'best friend, Trent'." Santana said putting her arm down a cocky smile on her face. Nick looked away not saying a thing but was thinking many things, Trent and Blaine don't even see each other that often. We do, we freaking live together and all he talks about is our day. He has loads of stories about him and Trent though. I need to talk to him when we get home.
"Say hi to Nick for me." Kurt said releasing from the hug he has been giving to Blaine.
"Sure, and thanks again for giving me this part in this play for a night, it was fun." Blaine said for the hundredth time that night.
"Hey, you." The director called from behind Blaine.
"Me sir."
"Yes, you, what is your name."
"Bl-bl-Blaine Anderson." Blaine stuttered.
"Well Blaine, that was quite a show you put on, thank God Kurt knew someone sho could act and sing as well as you could." The director said giving Kurt a quick, happy glare that had relief written over it, "I can probably get you into some other musicals if you want me to."
Blaine looked at Kurt, smiling with all his teeth showing, "I would love that."
"Cool, see me tomorrow for lunch at Tony' s at twelve and we'll discuss some parts for some upcoming revivals and newer pieces that just came out, and, we'll find something for you." The director left. Blaine took Kurt in another hug.
"This is amazing, I might be performing just like you." Blaine said sinking his fingers in Kurt's back
"This will be so great for you, we'll be Broadway Buddies."
"I'd like that." Blaine released, "Coffee? Same time as always."
"Of course." Blaine and Kurt walked out to Kurt's car and hugged again before Blaine walked over to where Nick was standing, leaning up against the hood of his car watching him and Kurt.
"So, what's the deal with you and Kurt are you two together yet?" Nick asked completely disgusted, cringing as he said his name.
"No, not yet, still trying without telling him that I like him." Blaine said resting his knees on the dashboard of Nick' s car as Nick drove.
"I really don't like him." Nick said.
A goofy smile crossed Blaine's mouth, "You like me."
"WHAT! No, I'm straight, I'm Dating Tiffany!" Nick said completely exasperated.
"You still mad about Regionals, we had this talk before." Blaine said with a sigh.
"Yes, I shall hold a grudge for as long as I live." Nick said.
"But there is nothing wrong with these people, they just took our trophy away is all." Nick looked at him with puppy dog eyes, "Come with me to the coffee house tomorrow and I'll show you just how nice Kurt is, and then I'll convince Kurt to let us come over to his apartment to meet his friends for more evidence."
Nick sighed, "Whatever, I already talked to one of his friends tonight during the play, we sat next to each other."
"Good." Blaine said with a smile.
"So, how was it?" Kurt asked cheekily.
"Wonderful! If there is anybody better than me it's you." Rachel said unbuttoning her coat.
"Yeah, dude, you were great." Finn said helping Rachel take her coat off. Kurt faced Santana. Santana rolled her eyes and looked around the room.
"It... wasn't... horrible." Was Santana's response. Kurt took that as a complement then walked to the bathroom to take a shower and do his face.
