"Oh my god

"Oh my god! It's green! Coop what did you do this time?!" Blaine stares frustrated at his hair gel bottle.

"Have fun at school, Kermet!"

He hears his chuckling brother leaving the house.

Blaine throws the bottle in the sink. "He slipped color in my hair-care product, seriously?" After all the pranks his brother played since their parents were gone on a business trip for a week and had instructed Cooper to babysit him, this one was too much. He definitely won't go to school like this! But he will use the day to think of a way to pay his sneaky brother back...

The mall is super far away, I can't find a single coffee shop and the neighbours seem to be as boring as in my old district, it can't get worse.”

Kurt turns annoyed into his new street. A long alley with the ever same looking nice little houses squeezed together with immaculate kept front gardens and old grandma's sitting in their rockers, chatting with their flowers.

As he sees his house he fishes lost in thought in his pocket for his front door key. He walks over the path towards the door only slightly wondering about the unfamiliar red bike lying in the grass and the beatiful flowers. (When had Carole time to plant these?)

Once he arrived at the doorstep he tries to open the door but the key doesn't fit. Kurt sighes resignedly, even more annoyed from his day and his new home so far away from his old friends. Suddenly he hears someone rustling inside the house. Releaved that his parents and Finn seem to be back earlier from their planed shopping trip, he moves to knock at the door. But in the same second it was yanked open and a big blue water bomb landed directly in his face.

"That's the payback for this morning!"

Blaine shouts with a wide grin, but instead of his soaking wet brother he faced an also soaking wet but unfamilar boy. Totally confused and shocked Blaines looks at the boy who pinches his eyes fiercly together and holds his hands up in surrender. He was a little bit taller than Blaine and has super soft looking porcelain skin. His surely usually neatly styled chestnut hair was dripping wet and lying flat on his forehead. He was wearing some forbidden tight jeans, a white longsleeve with a black vest over it and some kind of scarf/tie mix Blaine doesn't even know a name for. He looked absolutely breathtaking.

Blaine realised that he had just thrown a water bomb into this beautiful boy's face.

"Oh my god! I'm sooooo sorry! That's a confusion. I just wanted to... because my hair's green...and Coop annoyed me the whole week. I'm really sorry!"

Blaine becomes silent and tries to wipe off some water from the other boys very expensive looking vest. His wearer carefully blinks one light blue eye open and looks a little bit amused at Blaine. But Blaine doesn't notice he's too lost in his thoughts.

"Ugh, great job Blaine you just threw a water bomb into the face of this stunning boy who magically appeared on your door step and wiping water from his vest isn't going to work and even more so isn't going to make you look any less idiotic. And know he definitely thinks you're even more crazy 'cause you're talking to yourself!"

Kurt slowly opens his other eye and focuses at his rambling attacker in front of him. Clearly Kurt mixed up the front door and this must be one of his neighbours and did he just say I'm stunning? He has warm brown eyes and is a little bit smaller than himself. He wears a bordeaux button up poloshirt and a pair of olive trousers which are rolled up so you can see his ankles. But most outstanding is his green sprinkled thick dark curly hair through which he desperately runs his fingers, while an adorable blush is creeping up his neck. Perhaps it's because he's tripping wet which also can't be good for his new silk vest why he can't think clearly, but he's kind of attracted to this stuttering guy.

"Do you always greet your new neighbours like this? But I guess it's partly my fault too, I mixed up the doors I'm not that familiar around here yet. I'm Kurt.”

The other boy seems to find his confidence again and smiles at Kurt.

No, just the special one's.” Blaine says and winks.

Did he just winked at me? Oh my god, he's totaly flirting with me. Kurt's stomach does a little flip.

My name is Blaine.”

Well, Blaine I really appreciate your welcome gift but next time you should try it with something less wet like baking him cookies or somethimg.”

Blaine looks guilty again. “I can explain it. Since my parents are away this week, my brother has fun to play me tricks and this morning he put green haircolorant in my gel bottle and I wanted to pay him back with the waterbomb. As you tried to open the door I thought it was him.”

Kurt chuckles. “Then I guess it's part of his fault too that I'm such a mess now. We should shape a plan to revenge ourselfs on him. But for now I really want to change clothes, it was very nice to meet you neighbour Blaine.”

Likewise Kurt and again I'm so sorry”

Kurt was at the point of going to the right frontdoor this time as he turns around and takes all his courage to add something: "And for the record thanks for the compliment earlier, you're very sweet too. And I think you rock the green style." This time Kurt winks.

Blaine gasps and blushs again but much deeper. Smiling to himself Kurt turns and walks to his house. Well at least the unfamiliar flowers make sense now. As he reaches in his pocket to search for his keys he can't find them. He must have dropped them while the water bomb attack. Happy for an ecxuse to talk to his adorable neighbour again Kurt returns to Blaine's house. Blaine leanes still in the door frame with a dreamy look on his face.

Um, I think I dropped my keys earlier.”

Blaine try to think again and stop starring in his wonderful eyes. He's trying to tell you something!

Blaine shakes his head slightly and tries to remember the words that came from this beautiful mouth.

“Your keys? Oh, okay let's look for them.”

They were both combing through the garden for a while and stealing shy glances and smiles at eachother. That's why Blaine doesn't see the bike lying in the grass and stumbles over it. Face ahead he lands in the flower bed.

Kurt dies of laughter and askes “Are you okay?”

“It's all your fault you were distracting me.” mumbles Blaine and spits out some flower soil as he spots something silver shining between the flowers.

“I think I found them”

Blaine picks up the keys and stands up to hand them to Kurt who had walked over, but he stops in the middle of his motion as their hands were touching, both enveloping the key. Blaine gazes in Kurts eyes. They had a beautiful blue like a peaceful ocean on a warm summer day and they stare directly back in his. Blaine wouldn't be surprised if the sparks that flew between their eyes would have set the garden around them on fire.

Despite how akward the situation must look for outsiders, two boys frozen in the middle of a garden, clutching a key and staring at eachother deeply like in a cheesy love movie, Blaine just couldn't help himself and his eyes flicker to Kurts lips.

The were a soft pink and Kurt chews slightly at his bottom lip, which drives him even more crazy. He looks back in his eyes and finds Kurt's cheeks blushing as he fastly turns his gaze back from Blaine's lips to his eyes. Blaine lets go of the keys and they fall to the ground. They interlaced fingers and Blaine trails his other hand featherlightly up Kurts left arm and cups his cheek. Their faces come closer and Kurt moves his fingers to his neck to play with his curls and chuckles something like “They're actually green.”

Blaine closed his eyes and their lips were almost touching as the second wrong placed water bomb of today hits Blaine directly in his back.

Kurt doesn't know what happened. One second ago he was about to kiss his incredibly handsome neighbour and know he's wet again and an idiotic guy who had obviously interrupted them stands next to them and calls something at Blaine with a satisfied grin on his face.

You guys were so focused to eat eachothers lips that you haven't even noticed that I walked by and grabed on of the water bombs that you used for your dirty water-splash game earlier.”

Blaine was terribly ashamed and he furiously blushed.

Oh my god, Coop! Shut up! We weren't eating eachothers lips or playing dirty games! And those water bombs were determined for you!”

The other guy just laughed and pats Blaines hair.

Look's like that haircolorant brand is a good one, it stays pretty long.”

Blaine slaps his hand away and looks apologetically at Kurt.

So Blainey, don't you want to introduce me to your new friend?”

Actually no..”

Cooper doesn't let Blaine finish speaking and holds his hand out to Kurt.

Hi, I'm Cooper. Blaine's older and more awesome brother.”

Kurt skeptically shakes Coopers hand and laughs. Now he understands why Blaine wanted to play him a prank.

So I owe you that I'm dripping wet. I'm Kurt, your new neighbour.”

So you're new in town? Blaine you should show him around a little bit first and take him on a proper date before you attack his mouth. How about after your shift in the coffee shop? He's very good looking and seems to have a thing for you for some inexplicable reason, maybe you have a chance with him. So treat him well.”

Blaine shoots his brother an angry glance and tries to shoo him away. Kurt is a little bit amused about their relationship. Blaine's brother must be in his early twenties but acts like an 10 year old boy. On the other hand he really wants to pay Cooper back that he interrupted their kiss. So while the two brothers were practically chasing eachother around the garden, (Cooper was much faster because his legs are longer), spots Kurt the garden hose and a mean idea came to his mind. He takes the garden hose and tries to point it at Cooper. It wasn't easy because they were running but as they pass by he turns on the sillcock and the water hits Cooper directly in the face. He falls on the ground and Blaine comes slithering to a stand. He looks shocked at Kurt for a second whom played an amused smile upon his lips and then he bursts out in laughter.

I can't believe you just did that, Kurt! You're marvelous!”

Kurt smiles brightly and lets go of the garden hose.

I thought he deserves it for interrupting us.”

He walks over to Blaine and gives him a quick peck on his cheek.

But I think I disappear before he recovers and I finally want to change my clothes. But if you want to show me about town or have a drink in that coffee shop you're working, I wouldn't mind, because I have a serious coffee addiction.”

Blaine's face lights up like a christmas tree and he quickly picks up Kurts keys and hands them over.

Absolutely, I'd love that.”

Kurt smiles back and walks to his door. This time the keys fit and he closed the door behind him. He slides down the backside and presses the keys happily against his soaked chest.

I guess the new town isn't that bad.”

Thank you so much <3I'm glad I could convey their character and Cooper was the funniest part to write, he will have a very funny appearence in the next chapter.

This was really good. I loved how you wrote the characters and how you wrote Cooper and Blaine relationship. It was so much fun to see Kurt be the one that got Cooper back and to see him actually ask Blaine to spend time with him. I can't wait to read chapter 2.
