Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over,
But had me believing it was always something that I'd done
And I don't wanna live that way, reading in to every word you say,
You said that you could let it go, and I wouldn't catch you hung up on Somebody That I Used To Know.
Kurt sang quietly in his head as he began his morning expedition to class. He craved his morning pick-me-up more than sex so he decided he'd walk a bit faster and head to the nearest coffee shop. Now, Kurt absolutely LOVED coffee. It was the one person in his life that wouldn't leave him. But honestly, he was just too busy for it in the mornings. He also figured a quick stop by a REAL Coffee shop would help him with his skit for his Improv class this week. He sent Rachel a quick text to meet him at Starbucks, and he noticed the beautiful city glistening all around him.
He was absolutely in love with the fact that he made it here, and was overwhelmed by his newfound success. He was a student majoring in Acting in Screen Writing and only had a few semesters left until he could graduate his first term. He still had a long and treacherous path ahead of him, but he was prepared for the plunge.
Kurt Hummel has definitely become a better man over the years. Learning from the ignoramuses at McKinley High, he knew his best quality would be his determination and to let that be his rock.
"WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" a man screamed as Kurt approached a crosswalk. He was pulled away just in the knick of time as a taxi went racing by.
"Oh, wow. T-Thank you for that, I don't know what I was thinking.." Kurt stammered as he glanced at the handsome gentleman in front of him.
"Anytime, we wouldn't want a beautiful face like that getting ruined, now would we?" The man flashed him a quick smirk and grabbed Kurt's hand softly, shaking it with a firm grip.
"Kurt Hummel." Kurt announced as he blushed at the last comment. He wasn't beautiful, was he?
"Sebastian Smythe, it's a pleasure to meet you." Sebastian flashed him another smile and began walking across as the flashing man on the lightpost appeared.
"The pleasure is all mine. I'm sorry, but I have to go. Thank you for..saving my life, aha." Kurt smiled softly and walked away in a hurry.
He saw the Starbucks in the near distance and walked even faster towards it. There was his safe haven, only a few meters away. It was so strange, the way Sebastian eyed him carefully, and the compliments he gave him. Kurt wasn't used to it, but he really liked it. He glanced in the windows carefully and took in a sharp breath as he noticed the curly haired man behind the counter. He new he must be drooling, or have a ridiculous look on his face. He stared intensely and hesitated as he decided to just to run away.
What the Hell are you doing Kurt Hummel?! Not only did you just ditch on the love of your life, caffeine of course, but you just potentially ran out on the most beautiful man to ever come into your line of vision.
Damn, Kurt thought. Two dashing young men just minutes apart.
It was going to be a long day.
