"BLAINERS!" Cooper exclaimed as Blaine waltzed in the front door, immediately breached by Coop's slightly brawny arms and a tight grasp.
"Calm down, you just saw me a few weeks ago." Blaine murmured, heaving a huge breath when Cooper released him, his lack of oxygen causing him to become slightly dizzy.
Overwhelmed by the bear-hug still, he moved over to place a kiss on his mothers cheek as a greeting, hugging her as well. His father moved over and Blaine simply just nodded a "Hello".
After the brief introduction, the slightly distanced family began to decipher into their own routines. Blaine gathered his suitcases and began to ascend up the long, wooden staircase. Cooper was close behind, jogging up just a few steps beneath him.
"Can you help me with this?" Blaine said between pants, attempting to trudge three large bags with him.
"So weak, are we my little shrimp?" Coop nuzzled Blaine's hair with his hand, irritating the gel and causing a few curls to fall loose onto Blaine's forehead.
"Oh shut up." Blaine sighed, clearly not too excited to settle in here for a few days. But Blaine was a decent son throughout all these years, and he wanted to mantain his reputation. Mother's Day is an important holiday, and even though he wasn't too fond of his parents, he was still respectful.
However, during Blaine's visit, he had other plans for the last few days he was here in Westerville. He had plans to venture back to his old high school, Dalton Academy, and possibly even head over to Lima. Kurt invited him over the night before to introduce Blaine to the family. The thought ultimately frightened Blaine a little, it was slightly intimidating considering the fact that they had only been together for little while. Though both gentleman considered their relationship very serious, and moving toward the long-run.
Cooper plopped the suitcases over in the corner of Blaine's old room, letting Blaine absorb the flush of childhood memories bound to float into his mind.
"Mom and Dad want to talk to you about your job. They're kinda disappointed in you, though I don't see why." Cooper sighed, sitting down on the large king mattress that was placed in the middle of the brown bedroom.
"Are they ever not disappointed in me? I graduated for them, it's not my fault employment is hard as hell nowadays." Blaine growled angrily as he began to unpack his first bag. Nothing Blaine ever did in his family was enough for his overbearing parents. They desired nothing but pure agony (in his book) for his life. They wanted him to go on and be a big time lawyer, releasing innocent people convicted of crimes daily, things that would haunt Blaine in his after-years. But Blaine had other priorities than pleasing his father, more specifically. He enjoyed the wonderful experience of gourging himself with the sound of music, letting it flood his veins rather than stupid politics and law.
Cooper was the only member of his family that fully supported his profession and sexuality. Blaine was at least making progress in his musical career, he was starting out on Broadway. For a kid that managed a Bachelor degree in the arts, that was something huge.
"You know I don't completely agree with them, but they just want what's best for you. It's a tough world out there, you know that." Cooper retorted, laying back and eyeing the ceiling fan spinning quietly above him.
"Yeah, you're right. I do know. I was just fucking fired. However, I shouldn't have to be unhappy just so I can dance in piles of filthy wealth. That's not me, Coop. You know that." Blaine said as he finished putting a few necessities away, too tired to move onto the next set of clothes he had packed in the other bags.
Cooper sighed, "I know, B. Just finish getting ready and we'll go have dinner. Do me a favor and text your little boyfriend, too. See if his family can head over tomorrow for Mother's Day breakfast." Cooper started to leave Blaine alone, walking toward the door.
"Wait, what? They want them over?" Blaine stared at him wide-eyed, as Cooper had a teasing grin planted on his face.
"Of course they do. Kurt and I are already discussed this behind your back, you're very welcome. Tell him to be over by 10AM tomorrow. Mom doesn't want to wait." And with that, Cooper left the room and his loud footsteps echoed all the way to Blaine's ears.
Blaine immediately felt emotions of embarassment, annoyance and anger rushing through him, so he grabbed his phone out of his pocket to call Kurt.
He laid down on the bed as the phone rang, nervously tapping his foot against the mattress.
"Hello, Blaine." Kurt smiled, pleasure obviously filling his tone as he said Blaine's name.
"Hey..So what's all this about you guys coming over tomorrow?" Blaine asked curiously.
"Yeah. Cooper called me yesterday, telling me that we should all get together. You know me, I absolutely adored the idea and ran it by my dad and Carole. They thought it would be fun, so we all said yes. Why? Is there something wrong?" Kurt started to stutter at his last sentence, obviously getting panicked temporarily.
"No..No, t-that's fine. I just wasn't..expecting for our families to converge so soon. But yeah, that sounds great. I miss you." Blaine frowned. He missed kissing Kurt's soft, lush lips every so often, the warm pressure of his coffee scented body flush against his. Blaine missed everything about his perfect soulmate.
"Aw, baby. I miss you too. But I get to see you tomorrow, and I absolutely cannot wait." Kurt sort of squealed as he thought about seeing his boyfriend, it had been a few days too long.
Blaine chuckled heavily, the ache of the airport chaoticness causing him to feel drowsy. "I think I'm going to take a nap, jet-lagged."
"Oh, right. Was your flight fine?"
"Mmmhm, it was nice. I'll text you when I wake up. I love you." Blaine annouced, letting the words flow out of his mouth heavily, flooded with meaning and nervousness.
"I love you too, Blaine. Go rest." Blaine ended the call, and began to prepare himself for a long nap. He really didn't feel too comfortable going down and conversing with his family so soon, he was physically and mentally exhausted. Plus, he wasn't prepared for his father's strict critcism now that he knew Blaine had a boyfriend.
As soon as Blaine got curled under his blankets and turned the fan up to a higher speed, there was a knock on his door.
"Yeah?" Blaine asked, voice slightly scratchy from almost dozing off.
"Just because you have a ridiculously good looking boyfriend you can't see tonight, no masturbating in this house, Blaine!" Cooper screamed from outside in the hallway, laughing as he pranced away.
Blaine turned over in his bed, a blush quickly pooling in his cheeks as he recalled the first night when Kurt was almost naked in front of both of them, revealing their sex-filled night. Of course Cooper, you would say that. Blaine smiled happily though, laughing at his brother's craziness.
