Blaine Anderson had it all. He was the most popular kid at school, he got straight As in every class, he was the most handsome, charismatic boy to walk down the halls of McKinley High. He dated the prettiest girl in the entire school and was the captain of the football team. His friends idolized him, his teachers loved him, his girlfriend loved him. 

He had it all.

Except for one thing.

Nobody would ever know, but when he walked down the halls towards Rachel's locker, he would notice the boy staring. He would see his enormous blue-grey eyes, his perfect coiffed hair, how his shirt hugged his waist perfectly. He would notice how the boy would grab his best friend's arm and squeeze it until Blaine was out of sight, and it would make his heart beat faster every single time.

If it was a different time, Blaine would go talk to him. He would walk towards the boy and his best friend, he would smile at them both and he would offer his hand and tell them his name. He would give the boy his number, maybe write it on his hand and pray he didn't notice how much his own were shaking. He would ask for his number, too, and later he would text him and after a few days he would ask him out. He would surprise him with flowers on their first date, he would hold his hand across the table and he would flirt with him just to see him blush.

But that would be in another life. In this one, he was Blaine Anderson, the perfect student, Rachel Berry's perfect boyfriend, the football team's captain. Not the Blaine Anderson who would hold a boy's hand and surprise him with notes during classes or flowers during dates.

Not even if the guy was really, really cute.

Damn.

"Hey, Rach," Blaine finally reached her locker, shaking his head to clear every thought about his screwed up life. The girl gave his cheek a kiss as her way of saying hi, and he smiled, squeezing her hand when she entwined her fingers with his and started talking about some gossip going on with two of the cheerleaders. 

It didn't matter that his heart kind of broke a little every single day, knowing he was lying to her. It was done, he couldn't take it back now. The reason why it hurt so much was that Rachel was a very nice girl, and they used to be very close friends before all of... This. The thought of knowing he would break her heart made Blaine hate himself even more than he already did.

And as if the knowledge of hurting Rachel wasn't painful enough, the look on Kurt's beautiful blue-grey eyes when he walked his girlfriend to class was reason enough to make Blaine want to cry.
