Author's Notes:

Kurt ran out of Blaine's house and reached his car in record time. Just as he was about to start loading his bags into the trunk, he heard a scream that sounded hauntingly like Blaine. He dropped everything that he was holding and sprinted back to the house, throwing open the door that he had forgotten to close.

"HOW COULD YOU BRING HOME A...A FAG?!" Kurt heard a deep voice yelling. Blaine's father.

"Dad, he's not...that, he's my...he's my boyfriend"

Kurt flinched as he heard a loud smack.

"YOU'RE BOYFRIEND?! You had better be playing some sort of joke here" Matthew hissed.

Kurt peered round the corner of the door, and saw Blaine cowering on the floor with his dad towering over him threateningly. He had his hand raised, ready to strike again, and Blaine's cheeks were stained with tears, a bruise already forming on the left one.

"N-No, he really is my boyfriend, I-" Blaine was cut off by another blow to his cheek.

"Stop stuttering you little fairy and explain to me what's going on. RIGHT NOW! And I want the truth"

"His name is Kurt and he's my boyfriend he's the head cheerleader and we've been dating for a month yesterday and because you and mom were away and I wanted to spend our one month anniversary together I invited him round for the weekend" Blaine rushed out in one breath.

"Blaine. When we told you to date the head cheerleader, WE MEANT A GIRL!" Matthew bellowed, his face turning bright red with anger.

"Dad! I don't want to date girls, I'm gay! No matter how many times you try and deny it, it's true, I'm gay, I'm gay, I'm gay!" Blaine screamed, standing up. He looked even smaller than normal next to his father, and although Matthew Anderson wasn't the tallest man in the world, he sure seemed like it when he was angry.

"NO SON OF MINE IS A FAG! Now, you get this stupid "I'm gay" nonsense out of your head, you break up with that little pansy, and you will find yourself a nice, respectable girl to date, and later on in life, you will get married to a woman and have children and be a loving and devoted husband to your wife and family!" Matthew yelled, causing Blaine to take a few steps back. He seemed to regain some of his confidence again in a few seconds, and began unleashing all hell on his father.

"NO! I'm not breaking up with Kurt, I want to be with him, I don't want to date girls, but you know what? You're right! I will get married, but to a man! I will have children, with my husband! I will be a loving and devoted husband, to my husband and to my family! And I will love them, no matter what! My children can be whoever they want to be, and if they're gay, they're gay, if they're bisexual, they're bisexual, if they're straight, they're straight, and if they're transgender, THEY'RE DAMN WELL TRANSGENDER! I'm tired dad, I'm tired of pretending to be somebody I'm not to keep you happy, I am gay, I'm out and I'm proud, I have a boyfriend, and damn it, I LOVE HIM!"

Kurt raced into the living room where the Anderson family were gathered, and stared open mouthed at Blaine.

"You love me?"

"Kurt!" Blaine gasped, flushing a deep red.

"You" Matthew spat, advancing on Kurt. "You're the one who turned my son into a homo"

"Actually, Mr Anderson, I'll think you'll find that he was gay before we started dating, before we knew each other in fact, so I think you can take that accusation back" Kurt replied calmly.

"Kurt, what are you doing?!" Blaine hissed, staring at him with big, scared eyes.

"It's okay Blaine. What's he really going to do? Hit me? I'll call the police before he can even try" Kurt told him, his eyes never leaving Matthew's.

Alicia walked up behind him and leaned down to whisper in his ear.

"You get out of our house right now, and you never come back. Leave Blaine, drop all contact with him. I don't care if it makes him miserable, as long as it makes him realise that he is straight"

"No" Kurt whispered back. "He's my boyfriend, and I'm going to be with him through this every step of the way"

Matthew looked at Blaine, then at Kurt, then back to Blaine.

"Do you want to be with him?" he asked his son, looking straight at him with hard, unblinking eyes.

"Yes" Blaine said without hesitation.

"Then get out of my house. You are not my son" he said coldly. "You have half an hour to pack"

Blaine bolted up the stairs as fast as his legs could carry him, Kurt not far behind. He followed him into Blaine's bedroom and shut the door behind them.

"Listen, Blaine-" Kurt started, but was cut off by Blaine.

"Can you help me pack? I really just want to get out of here"

Kurt nodded and started taking clothes out of the wardrobe and placing them in the open suitcase that Blaine had gotten out.

"Of course. Anything you want"

They packed in silence and left Blaine's house without a word. As soon as they were sitting in Kurt's car, Blaine broke down. Kurt wrapped his arms around him and held him close.

"Hey, hey, it's going to be okay, everything is going to be okay" Kurt whispered, kissing Blaine's forehead. "Come on, let's go back to mine. We have a guest room you can stay in, and there's no way that my dad is going to say no, he loves you"

"Your dad loves me, but why doesn't my own dad?" Blaine sobbed, burying his face in Kurt's chest.

"Oh Blaine, sweetheart, of course your dad loves you, he just doesn't see things the way you do" Kurt comforted, stroking Blaine's cheek.

"Can we go?" Blaine sniffed, wanting to get away from his house as soon as he could.

"Yeh" Kurt replied, reversing out of the drive. "And Blaine?"

"Mhm?"

"I love you too"

Blaine grinned and settled in his seat, his heart beating fast. He loves me too, he loves me too, HE LOVES ME TOO!!!

When they got to Kurt's, they ran inside the house, leaving their bags inside the car, and went to find Burt.

"Dad!" Kurt called. "I'm home!"

"Hey kid, how was Blaine's?" Burt called back, emerging from the kitchen. "Oh, hi Blaine, what're you doing here?"

"I, um, well, I-"

"Blaine's parents came home when we were kissing goodbye, they got really mad and they kicked Blaine out" Kurt said quitely. "Can he stay in the guest room?"

"Of course. Stay as long as you want buddy" Burt said gently, clapping a hand on Blaine's shoulder.

"Thank you, Burt" Blaine muttered, feeling tears prickle his eyes.

"Any time Blaine. You're with my son now, and I have a feeling you'll be around for a long time, and I trust you, so I'm going to let you stay in Kurt's bedroom, but no funny business, okay? I'm trusting both of you to respect each other, and if that trust is broken, then Blaine will have to stay in the guest room. One chance" Burt said sternly.

"Of course, thank you so much Burt" Blaine smiled.

"It's okay. And thank you for finally calling me Burt!" Burt chuckled.

"Come on honey, let's go unpack your stuff, I'll make room in my wardrobe" Kurt said, taking his bags and a couple of Blaine's and carrying them upstairs.

Blaine shot another quick thank you at Burt before grabbing the rest of his bags and following Kurt upstairs.

Once they had unpacked all of Blaine's stuff, they collapsed on Kurt's - their bed. Blaine shuffled closer to Kurt and snuggled into his chest.

"This is nice" Kurt hummed, wrapping his arms around Blaine.

"It is" Blaine agreed. "Thank you so much for letting me stay here Kurt, and I can never thank your dad enough for letting me stay in your room. I don't think I'd be able to sleep without you here"

"You don't ever have to thank me for this Blaine. I love you, and I'll always be here for you"

"I love you too" Blaine whispered before falling into a deep, dreamless sleep.
