Author's Notes:

"Blaine!" Kurt screamed. "Please, Blaine, wait!"

Blaine spun round, facing Kurt. Kurt's heart broke as he saw Blaine's tear stained face.

"I can't believe it. I can't believe that I fell for some stupid, pathetic trick!" Blaine yelled, tears streaming down his face. "I can't believe that I let you take my virginity, I can't believe that I thought you really loved me, and I can't believe that I fell in love with you!"

"Blaine" Kurt whispered, his voice cracking.

"No Kurt. Don't act like you care, when you quite clearly don't" he laughed humourlessly.

"I do care" Kurt murmured. "I love you" he leaned forward to kiss Blaine, but was shoved back. He stumbled as Blaine pushed him hard.

"Get the fuck away from me!" Blaine screamed, becoming hysterical.

Kurt jumped back, shocked. He'd never seen Blaine like this.

"You know, I thought that you were a really great guy" Blaine whispered, looking  up at Kurt with tear filled eyes. "And I'm hating myself so much right now, because I still love you. But I can't be with you. Not ever. From now on, just stay the hell away from me"

With that, Blaine turned around and walked away. As soon as Kurt was out of sight, he collapsed onto the floor, sobbing. How could he have been so stupid? The bell rang, signalling the end of lunch, and Blaine stood up again, wiping away his tears. He walked into home room to find Rachel sitting there.

"Hey B!" she grinned.

"Rach" Blaine whispered, tears pouring down his face again.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong?"  Rachel asked, sitting Blaine down next to her. "What happened?"

"It was for a bet" Blaine sobbed.

"What was honey?"

"Kurt" Blaine hiccupped. "He told me he loved me, he made me fall in love with him, he took my virginity and he pretended to be one himself....all for a bet with Quinn"

Rachel  flushed red, absolutely livid. "He did what?" she said through gritted teeth.

"You heard me" Blaine cried. "I'm such an idiot. Can I stay at yours? I have nowhere to live, and I'm sure as hell not staying anywhere with him" Blaine said, spitting out the last word as if it was poison on his tongue.
"Of course you can honey, do you want me to come with you to get your stuff?"

"No, I think I'll go alone" Blaine sniffed. "I'd rather face him by myself"

"Okay" Rachel said, hugging Blaine. "I'm so sorry B. It's going to be okay"

Blaine didn't reply, just hugged her back and tried to get on with the day, ignoring the heavy ache in his heart.

Kurt sat in his room, watching  crappy TV, doing anything to take his mind off of the earlier events. He had been trying to tell Quinn that he didn't want her money, that he really did love Blaine, but no, Blaine had to overhear the wrong parts of the conversation. He felt fresh tears welling in his eyes and tipping over the edge, trickling down his cheek. The bedroom door burst open with a bang, making Kurt jump. Blaine stormed it, looking even angrier than before.

"Blaine" Kurt whispered his heart racing.

Blaine said nothing, just grabbed his belongings and shoving them into his bags. Kurt sat on the bed, watching him pack, hugging his knees to his chest.

"Blaine, listen, you need to understand, I was trying to -"

"I don't want to hear it" Blaine cut Kurt off.  "I'm staying at Rachel's now. I don't ever want to see you again. I've said it twice now, and I'm going to say it again. Stay away from me. I want nothing more to do with you. You're pathetic. And lying about something as important as being a virgin? I can't believe you would stoop that low"

Kurt sat there, wide eyed. "I didn't lie" he whispered.

"Oh no, of course not" Blaine said, overly sarcastic. "The infamous Kurt Hummel, most popular guy in the school is still a virgin! Yeh, right. Get a life, Kurt. And grow up. You're stupid, petty little games may get you through High School, but they sure as hell won't get you through the rest of your life"

With that, Blaine picked up his suitcases and left, driving back to Rachel's house having picked up his car from his house already. As soon as he was inside his new room, he collapsed on the bed, sobbing. As much as he hated Kurt for doing this, the love that he felt for him was still so strong that it was unbelievable.  He jumped as he heard someone knock on his door.

"B?" Rachel said quietly, opening the door. "I heard you crying. Are you okay?"

Blaine said nothing, just shook his head and let himself be held by Rachel, who was instantly sat beside him with her arms wrapped tightly around him.

"It'll be okay soon B" she whispered.

Finn knocked on Kurt's door and opened it slowly. "Hey man" he said gently.

"What do you want Finn" Kurt mumbled, his voice muffled by his pillow that his face was buried in.

"I wanted to make sure that you're okay. I don't know what happened, but you seem really cut up about it"

"Blaine and I broke up" Kurt said quietly, his voice cracking.

"Oh god...man, I'm so sorry. How did it happen?"

"I - It was a big misunderstanding" Kurt said simply. "But he despises me, and he'll never take me back, so it's over. For good"

"I'm so sorry" Finn whispered. "If you need me, you know where I am"

"Thanks Finn, but right now, I just want to be alone" Kurt replied.

"Okay" Finn nodded, walking out of Kurt's room, closing the door behind him.

Kurt buried his face in his pillow and sobbed until he eventually fell asleep, with no more tears left to cry.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Blaine spent the next few weeks throwing himself into work and Glee club, even more so than he used to, doing anything he could to keep himself busy so that he didn't think of Kurt too often. It didn't work, as he constantly thought about him anyway, but these things at least occupied his mind for a while.
Kurt threw himself into cheerleading, concentrating only on that, and slowly becoming a bitchy shadow of his former self. Every time he saw Blaine walking down the hall, he'd walk the other way, unable to even be near him without bursting into tears. The only problem with throwing himself into cheerleading was that he was so focused on Blaine, that he often mucked up the routine.
" Kurt!" Quinn screeched. "What is wrong with you! You used to be our best cheerleader, but now you're all over the place!"
"I'm sorry!" Kurt yelled back, frustrated. Quinn dragged him into a corner of the gymnasium, away from the other cheerleaders.
"What the hell is going on?" she hissed.
"Nothing! It's nothing to do with you, okay!" Kurt whispered angrily.
"I'm your best friend Kurt, tell me right now what's happening!"
"Well you're being a pretty shitty best friend Quinn. If you were my best friend you would care why I was upset because of me, not because of the Cheerios! You wouldn't have started that bet about Blaine, and you wouldn't only be friends with me because I'm a Cheerio! I've been a complete idiot, telling myself that you do like me, that this is just your personality, but I'm sick of it now. It's quite clear that you wouldn't even bother getting to know me if I wasn't popular. You need to grow up and put things into perspective, Quinn Fabray. And I need to get some better friends"
With that, Kurt walked back over to the Cheerios and started talking to some of the other girls. He snuck a glance and Quinn, and her face was red with fury. She looked absolutely livid, but Kurt couldn't bring himself to care.
Blaine sat in the library after school, papers from all of his different classes spread across the table. Finn sat down opposite him and glared at him.
"What do you want Finn?" Blaine asked tiredly, not looking up from his work.
"Want to tell me what the hell you did to hurt my brother so much?" Finn asked angrily.
Blaine looked up and stared at Finn in disbelief. "What I did?! Try asking him what he did! I don't know what kind of shit he's been telling you, but I did nothing, and he sure as hell isn't hurt. He got what he wanted. Now he can leave me the fuck alone. He's a pathetic, idiotic child"
"Hey! Don't speak about my brother like that!" Finn yelled. "He's completely cut up about this. I don't know what happened and Rachel isn't saying, so you'd better tell me right now"
"You want to know what your precious brother did?" Blaine hissed. "He made a bet with Quinn that he could get me to go out with him and sleep with him. He won his little bet, and made a fool out of me in the process. There. Now you know the truth. Don't bother coming to me about this again, I don't want any connections with him. I'm completely done with him"
Blaine gathered his papers and left the library, walking to his car. He drove back to Rachel's, furious. How could Kurt make out that this was Blaine's fault? ‘Asshole'  Blaine thought, pulling into Rachel's driveway.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kurt collapsed on the sofa, breathing deeply, glad that another long day was over and thankful for some peace and quiet. Finn came storming into the living room and stood over Kurt.

"Yes?" Kurt said, raising an eyebrow.

"I can't believe you would do something like that" Finn muttered angrily.

"Like what, Finn?" Kurt sighed, tired.

"Like make a bet with Quinn that you could get Blaine to go out with you and sleep with you? Blaine told me everything. This isn't you, Kurt, you wouldn't do something like that. I guess I was wrong. I guess you're just like Quinn"

"Shut up!" Kurt screamed, standing up. "Yes, it's true that I did that, but I do love Blaine! He saw me trying to tell Quinn that I didn't want her money, that I want to be with Blaine!"

"Dude" Finn said, softening. "Why didn't you just tell him that?"

"I tried to, but he wouldn't listen" Kurt sighed, feeling tears pour down his cheeks.  "What I did was wrong, but I did fall in love with Blaine, and I can't stand it without him. Please, Finn, help me get him back?"

Kurt looked at Finn with wide, sad eyes, and Finn nodded gently.

"I'll help you" he said quietly. "What do you need me to do?"

"Blaine!" Kurt screamed. "Please, Blaine, wait!"
