Kurt ran downstairs the next morning, catching his dad just as he was about to head off to the garage.
"Dad, wait up!" he called, jogging over to him.
"What's up bud? Make it quick though cause I've gotta open the shop" Burt stopped, turning to face his son.
"Last night Blaine called me and asked....well...this Saturday is our one month anniversary, so he asked if I could go to his this weekend from Friday to Sunday, we'd go to his straight after school, I was hoping you'd be able to drop my stuff off at some point?" Kurt rushed, hoping that his dad would say yes.
"Are his parents going to be home?"
He inwardly cursed. The one question he was hoping wouldn't come up. He could just lie, but at the same time he couldn't. He just couldn't lie to his dad.
"Well....no" he started, cringing at his dad's ‘I know what that means' look.
"So, Blaine's parents are okay with him having his boyfriend over for the weekend with nobody else around?" Burt asked in disbelief.
"That's kind of the thing....they don't know that we're together"
Kurt held his breath, waiting for what was coming.
"Okay, you can go"
He opened his eyes, not realising he'd closed them and straightened up. Did he just....
"Sorry, what?"
"I said you can go. But I want you to call me every day so that I know you're okay, and I also want you to take these." Burt reached his hand into his pocket and handed Kurt a small square box.
"What's tha - OH MY GOD DAD, WHAT THE HELL?!" Kurt shrieked, throwing the offending box across the room. "Why, why are you carrying those around? Actually, on second thoughts, don't answer that question" he shivered.
"Kurt, you're almost 18 now, and well, you're a man, an adult. I knew this day was coming soon, and what with you having a boyfriend now, I've been keeping them on me in case this conversation was spontaneous" Burt explained, picking up the condoms and putting them back in Kurt's hand. "I just want you to be safe, okay kiddo? And I want you to make sure you know what you're doing, so I want you to read through these, and I want you to know that you can come to me with any questions"
"Seriously, you just carry these in your jacket?" Kurt asked, raising an eyebrow as Burt handed him some pamphlets on gay sex.
"As I said, I didn't know how spontaneous this could be" Burt defended, holding up his hands.
"Right....well, thanks dad"
"No problem son" Burt nodded, clapping Kurt on the shoulder before walking out of the door to open the shop.
Kurt grinned as he drove to school, hopping out of the car and practically skipping towards his locker.
"Someone's happy"
Kurt turned round and smirked as he saw Quinn.
"Win the bet did we?" she asked, linking arms with him.
"No, not yet, but I'm staying there all weekend, tomorrow until Sunday, and his parents are going to be out of town the whole time, so I'm hoping something that something's going to happen then. When I told my dad he gave me condoms, it was so awkward"
"Oh my god! That's awkward. Do you think Anderson will be up for it?" Quinn asked, a cruel smile spreading across her face.
"Totally. After being a blushing virgin for so long, he must be gagging for it. I mean, come on, he's 17, he's gonna have hormones, and as his boyfriend, it's my job to help him with that" Kurt winked as he walked into his French class. As soon as he sat down he groaned and hit his head on the table with a thump.
"What's up?"
Kurt whipped his head up and saw Blaine sitting next to him. Crap, he forgot they shared this class together.
"Nothing, I'm fine. Hey, my dad said yes to this weekend" Kurt smiled, quickly changing the subject.
"He did? That's great!" Blaine grinned, fidgeting in his seat with excitement.
"Yeh, all I have to do is call him every day. He's going to drop my stuff off at yours at some point, but apart from that we have the whole time to ourselves"
"I can't wait"
"Me neither"
Kurt chuckled at his boyfriend's excitement and started taking notes.
"Listen, Kurt....about tomorrow" Blaine started nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Okay, you're doing that neck thing that you always do when you're nervous, so spill before you back out" Kurt said, dropping his pen and raising an eyebrow.
"I just....I've never had a one month anniversary before...I've never even had a boyfriend before, so all of this is really new to me, so I was wondering....are we doing presents?" he asked, a panicked look on his face.
Kurt stared at him for a few seconds before bursting into laughter, attracted curious looks from a few people. He sent them fierce looks and turned back to Blaine, whose face had gone bright red.
"Is that all you're worried about? I thought it was something serious!" Kurt laughed.
"Hey, stop it! It is serious to me! I'm serious about you"
Kurt stopped laughing and faced Blaine. "You mean that?"
"I do" he nodded, fighting the urge to take Kurt's hands.
"Well then....I think we could do presents" he whispered, biting his lip in a failed attempt to keep the smile off face.
"Okay" Blaine grinned, practically bouncing in his seat.
"Okay" Kurt laughed, looking down at his work again.

Kurt wandered through the mall, frustrated. He needed to get Blaine an anniversary present by tomorrow, and he couldn't find anything. He was just about to give up and call off the present thing, but when he thought about Blaine's excited face, he just couldn't. He turned round, looking at all of the stores around him when one caught his eye. He grinned, knowing he'd found the perfect place, went in, selected the present, had it gift wrapped and went off home, excited about the next day.
~~~~~~~~~
Blaine slumped on his bed, exhausted. Shopping always tired him out, especially when he had no idea what to get. Thankfully, just as the mall was about to close, he found a store and bought the perfect gift. He couldn't wait to see Kurt's face when he opened it. He changed into pyjamas and fell asleep almost instantly full of dreams of the coming weekend.
~~~~~~~
"Finn!" Kurt yelled up the stairs the following morning.
"What's up little brother?" Finn asked, running down the stairs.
"You can drive my car back here after school today, I won't be needing it"
Finn stared at Kurt, dumbfounded.
"You're letting me use your car. Me. Use your car"
"Yes, but only for that one drive" Kurt said, waving him off.
"Not that I'm protesting here, but why?" he asked, still staring at Kurt.
"Because I'm going to Blaine's this weekend, and he's driving me to his so that we don't have to take both cars. Dad's going to drop off my stuff later today and he's going to drive my car there, so I'm getting it back then. Be very careful with it, no food or drinks, and drive safely. If I find so much as a chip in the paint, I'm making you pay for it" Kurt told him sternly, giving him the best bitch face he had.
"You got it" Finn nodded, making a mental list of what he could and couldn't do.
"Now come on, we've got to go to school" Kurt said, adjusting his Cheerios uniform.
Finn rolled his eyes and followed him.
When they arrived at school, Finn jumped out of the car and rushed towards Rachel, a wide grin on his face. Kurt shook his head at his brother and rushed off to first period with the knowledge that he had that class with Blaine.
~~~~~~~~~~
Finally, the bell rang signalling the end of the day, Blaine and Kurt running as fast as they could to Blaine's car. They both reached it at the same time, wide grins spread across their faces.
"Ready to go?" Blaine asked, breathless from the run.
"Definitely" Kurt laughed, getting into the passenger seat.
The car journey to Blaine's was full of hand holding, loving glances and flirty duets. It wasn't long before they pulled into Blaine's drive.
"Have I ever told you that your house is huge?" Kurt asked, in awe of the size of Blaine's house, just like he was every time they came up this drive.
"Once or twice" Blaine chuckled, taking Kurt's hand and pulling him out of the car towards his house.
"This weekend is going to be awesome" Kurt squealed, bouncing on the heels of his feet.
"You know, I really like that Cheerios uniform on you" Blaine smiled as they entered the house.
"Oh you do, do you?" Kurt teased, pulling the polyester tighter against his chest discreetly.
"Hmm. You look really....umm...hot in it" he blushed, looking down at the floor.
"I'm glad you think so. For the record, I think you look hot in anything" Kurt winked.
"Oh, I do too! I mean, I don't think I look hot in anything, I mean I think that you look hot in anything" Blaine mumbled. "Do you want to go up to my room?"
He blushed at his sudden outburst, ducking his head again, hoping that Kurt wouldn't read too much into it. Oh my god, he was going to say, he was going to call him a pervert and kick him out, he was going to -
"Sure"
Oh. Maybe not.
"Okay" Blaine nodded, taking Kurt's hand and leading him up the massive flight of stairs.
"Jesus Blaine, how do you get up and down these each day!" Kurt panted, getting tired already.
"I'm just used to it now, I guess" Blaine shrugged, leading Kurt the rest of the way up the stairs and into his room. They sat on the bed and stared at each other for a bit.
"So....what do you want to do? Watch TV? I think Friends re-runs are on" he asked.
"Sounds great" Kurt smiled as Blaine leaned over and switched on the TV, changing over to the channel that Friends was always on.
Why was this so awkward? They'd watched TV together a million times before and it hadn't been like this. Maybe it's because they had the house to themselves? Yeh, it's probably that Blaine thought, taking a chance and draping an arm across Kurt's shoulder, pulling him in closer. He felt Kurt rest his head on his shoulder and mentally congratulated himself. He stared at Kurt's lips, begging to be kissed....
"This bit's boring" Blaine stated loudly, being way too obvious.
"Is it now?" Kurt asked, raising an eyebrow. "I wonder what we could do whilst the "boring" part is on?"
Oh my god, he got my hint!
"I don't know" Blaine shrugged, trying to act nonchalant.
"Oh, you have no idea at all?"
"Nope...none"
They leaned in subconsciously, staring into each other's eyes.
"Shame, because I was going to suggest we make out" Kurt shrugged, pulling away.
"You - I - we were just -"Blaine stuttered, looking at Kurt with confused, panicked eyes.
"I'm just messing with you silly! Now, come here you"
Kurt brought their lips together in a heated kiss, Blaine pulling him in as close as possible. They shifted so that Blaine was lying awkwardly on top of Kurt, it was uncomfortable, but they didn't care, they were too lost in their passion for each other, too consumed by the love for each other they were to afraid to admit, terrified that it was too soon to say. Blaine was the first one to pull away, his liquid gold orbs connecting with the ocean blue ones beneath him.
"I was thinking we could maybe take this a step further?" he suggested, blushing for what felt like the millionth time that day.
"How much further?" Kurt asked, trying not to get his hopes up too much.
"We could lose the shirts?"
Kurt didn't answer, just slowly pulled Blaine's sweater vest off and began to undo the buttons of his shirt, looking up at Blaine through his eyelashes. Soon, their shirts were thrown to the floor without a care in the world, and their lips were attached again. Kurt's arms clung to Blaine's bare back, pressing their chests as close together as possible. Just as a moan was beginning to bubble at the back of Blaine's throat, the doorbell went off.
Kurt groaned in annoyance as Blaine got off of him and ran downstairs. He followed him, not wanting to spend a second of this weekend without him. He caught up with him just as he approached the door, opening it quickly.
"Hi Blaine, I've got Kurt stu -" Burt stopped what he was saying as he took in the two boys' appearance. He raised an eyebrow and smirked at them. "Well..."
"Mr Hummel, I am so sorry, I didn't mean to...well...we weren't really doing anything other than kissing, I swear, we aren't planning on having s-sex if that's what you're thinking, this entire weekend is supposed to be innocent, I'm not going to-"
"Blaine, stop" Burt said, raising a hand to tell Blaine to do exactly that. "I'm not stupid, you're both 17, and you're going to have....urges. I've made sure Kurt knows what he's doing in case anything does go too far. Kurt, do you have the...stuff I gave you?"
"Yes dad" Kurt blushed, taking his overnight bag.
"Good. I'll see you Sunday then. Have fun kiddo" Burt smiled, walking away. Just as he reached his own car (it had been on a trailer behind Kurt's car), he turned back and yelled "Blaine! How many times, my name is Burt!"
"Sorry Mr - Burt!" Blaine yelled back.
They waved as Burt drove away. As soon as he was out of sight, the door was slammed shut and Blaine was pressed up against it, the warmth of Kurt's body close to his.
"Now, where were we?" Kurt whispered, crushing their lips together, sucking Blaine's bottom lip lightly.
"Unghh, Kurt, Kurt, we have to stop" Blaine panted reluctantly.
"What? Why? You said you wanted to take this further?"
Blaine took in Kurt's hurt expression, and all of his doubt and worry went out the window.
"Screw it. Let's go back up to my room"
"Too far" Kurt gasped as Blaine kissed up and down his chest. "Couch"
They fell to the couch together, and continued making out for a while before Blaine decided that they really did have to stop before he did something he'd regret.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" Blaine asked, getting up from the couch and flicking through his extensive movie collection.
"Sure. What do you want to watch?"
Kurt kneeled down beside him, running his hands up and down Blaine's back, relishing in the feeling of touching his skin.
"You choose" he said, standing up and walking towards the stairs.
"Hey, where are you going?"
"To get my shirt...." Blaine trailed off, pointing in the direction of his room.
"No!" Kurt yelled, probably a little too loudly. "I mean, don't. Stay here, I like you without a shirt. You look good"
"Oh...okay"
He sat down on the couch and waited for Kurt to join him. He picked Moulin Rouge, and they cuddled together on the couch, shifted every so often to be closer to each other. They sang Come What May together and agreed that if one day, they ever got married, it would be their wedding song. It may be too soon to start talking about that kind of stuff, but to them, it felt right. It felt good.
The weekend passed in a blur, full of make outs and home cooked meals and cuddling on the love seat whilst watching romantic movies. On Saturday, they exchanged gifts and laughed when they realised that they had gotten each other the exact same promise ring, and they both had Teenage Dream engraved inside. It was over far too soon for Kurt and Blaine's liking, and before they knew it, it was time for Kurt to go home.
"I'll see you at school tomorrow" Blaine whispered, holding Kurt close.
"Tomorrow can't come fast enough" Kurt whispered back.
They leaned in at the same time, and their lips collided, hands roaming over each other's bodies as they clung to each other as tightly as they could.
"Blaine! We're home!" Alicia yelled, stopping in her tracks as she saw the two boys jump apart. She pointed at Kurt and at the door. "You. Get out" she spat venomously.
Kurt grabbed his bags and ran out of the door, but not before hearing screams coming from Blaine.
