Kurt and Blaine jolted awake as they heard a knocking on the door.
"Kurt!" Finn yelled, slamming his fist against the door. "We lost Blaine, we're all out here, do you know where he is?"
They stared at each other with wide eyes and panicked expressions and jumped away from each other, untangling their entwined bodies.
"Quick, hide in the bathroom!" Kurt whispered, shoving Blaine into the ensuite, slamming the door shut behind him.
He ran over to the door and threw it open.
"Hi Finn, what's up?" he asked, slightly out of breath.
"Yeh, have you se - wait, are you okay? Your hair is all mucked up and your clothes are all crumpled" Finn asked, looking at Kurt weirdly.
"Y-yeh, I'm fine, I was just...sleeping, I got tired" Kurt stuttered. It wasn't exactly a lie, it's just that he fell asleep in his boyfriend's arms. His boyfriend that nobody could know he was with. His amazing beautifully perfect boyfriend that he was falling for but was too afraid to admit it.
"Kurt, dude? Kurt?" Finn asked, waving his hand in Kurt's face.
"Hm?" Kurt asked, snapping out of his thoughts.
"You kinda spaced out there for a minute. You've gone pale, man, are you okay? Are you ill or something? Do you want some water?" he asked, his face concerned.
"I'm fine Finn, what do you want?" Kurt huffed.
"We lost Blaine, he just sort of dissappeared about 5 hours ago and we haven't seen him since. We've searched the whole house but we haven't found him....is he in here?" Artie asked, wheeling himself into Kurt's room. The others followed him and searched Kurt's room, ignoring Kurt's protests.
"Why would he be in here, I don't really know him do I, not like he would be here" Kurt chuckled nervously, ignoring the amused look Finn was sending him.
"What about the bathroom, Kurt you've got an ensuite right? That's it in through there isn't it?" Puck said, pointing to the ensuite door and walking towards it.
"NO!" Kurt yelled, jumping in front of him and blocking the door. "You can't go in there! You might.....ruin all of my face and hair products. They're very important to me"
"Dude, I won't touch anything, I'm just going to look in there" he held up his hands in front of him, making his way towards the door again.
"NO! I just....don't go in there, okay?" he begged with pleading eyes.
"Fine, fine. Come on guys, he's clearly not in here, let's go see if he's wandering around the house somewhere" Mike said, ushering everyone out of the room.
Once they were gone and the door closed safely behind them, Kurt sighed with relief and opened the door to the ensuite, letting Blaine out.
"I am so sorry about that" Kurt whispered, dropping to the bed.
Blaine sat next to him and leant them both back, resuming the position they were in before, Kurt's head on Blaine's chest and Blaine's arms wrapped around Kurt, running his fingers through his hair. Kurt rested his hands on Blaine's stomach, enjoying the feeling of being held by Blaine, taking in the scent of his cologne.
"Kurt, it doesn't matter. I know that you can't be seen with me, it's...it's not your fault" Blaine muttered, trying and failing to hold back tears.
"Oh god, please don't cry" Kurt said, his heart aching. The pained look on Blaine's face, he'd caused that...and it killed him.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's just....I want to be able to tell all of my friends that we're together, because I really care about you, and you mean a lot to me, but I just can't, because I'm a loser and you're popular. God I hate High School" he groaned, burying his face in Kurt's hair.
"Listen to me" Kurt said, taking Blaine's face in his hands. "What matters is that we're together. I hate this too, I want to be able to tell all of my friends how amazing you are and how lucky I am to have you, but I can't because they'd tease me. You know, the earlier today, Quinn said something that really pissed me off. It was about you, and I just...I don't know, it just seemed so cruel, so I told her what I thought and stormed off. I know that she knows we're together, but she isn't exactly happy about it"
"What did she say?" Blaine asked.
"W-what?" Kurt stuttered, looking anywhere but at Blaine.
"What did she say?" he repeated, tilting Kurt's head to look at him.
"It doesn't matter what she said, what matters is, she said it!"
"Hey, Kurt, I can take it, just please, tell me what she said!"
"No!" Kurt yelled. "I don't want you to know, I don't want what she said to hurt you!"
"Okay" Blaine whispered, giving in to the heartbroken look on Kurt's face. "Okay. If you don't want to say, that's fine"
He leaned forward and kissed Kurt softly, their lips moving together at a slow pace.
"You're beautiful" Blaine whispered, kissing Kurt again. "And talented" another kiss. "And so, so amazing" and another. "You really are a good singer you know. You'll make it to Broadway soon, and I know it. In the long run, it's really not too long until graduation now. And, in your shows, I'll be there, so, so proud of you. Whether we're together or not, I'll always be there to cheer you on, and I'll always be proud of everything you do"
"Whether we're together or not? I'm not planning on letting you go that quickly" Kurt smiled, leaning forward to kiss Blaine again.
"So. You think this is going to be good?" Blaine asked, gesturing between the two of them.
"No" Kurt whispered. "I think this is going to be great"
Blaine's face broke out into the widest grin as he closed the distance between them once more.
"Now, you know what?" Kurt said, moving off of Blaine, ignoring his whines and protests. "I think you should go back down to Finn and the others. You've been here for five and half hours, and they're worried about you. I'll join you, okay?"
"Okay" Blaine nodded, walking towards the door.
They walked downstairs together quitely, and Kurt ushered him into the living room, following him closely behind.
"Blaine man! Where've you been?" Finn asked, jumping up.
"Sorry I didn't tell you, but my mom needed me home to help her out with some family stuff. I just got back" he lied.
"That's funny, we didn't hear you come in" Puck said, looking at him suspiciously.
"Kurt let me in through the back" he shrugged, dropping down onto the couch with next to Sam.
"Yep. Mind if I join you for a bit?" Kurt asked, sitting next to Blaine, a little too closely, but not enough for anyone else to notice.
"S-sure" Artie stuttered, flinching as Kurt turned to him.
"Relax, I'm not going to beat you up. That's not me" Kurt said, smiling.
"Oh...okay"
They relaxed a little, and let Kurt join in with the conversation. Everyone laughed and just generally had a good time. It wasn't long before everyone began to crash. With a yawn, Kurt got up and went up to his bedroom with a nod towards the Glee guys.
He threw off his shirt and changed into some sweats before falling onto the bed, asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.
Kurt woke up with a start as he felt someone getting into his bed. He turned round to see Blaine behind him.
"Hey" he whispered, moving back to press them closer together.
"Hey to you too" Blaine whispered back, wrapping his arms around Kurt from behind and pulling him as close as possible. "I couldn't sleep knowing that you were so close but not in my arms.
"You are so sweet" Kurt sighed.
"Not as sweet as you" Blaine smiled, nuzzling his face into the crook of Kurt's neck.
"Now I have to say, that's a nice body you've got on you there" Kurt smirked, feeling the heat of Blaine blushing.
"You're not so bad yourself" Blaine shot back, relaxing into the warmth of Kurt's body.
"Come on, go to sleep" Kurt muttered, covering his face in the pillow.
"Okay" Blaine whispered into Kurt's hair, closing his eyes and letting sleep take over him.
They're breathing evened out as they fell asleep contentedly.
The next morning, Blaine jolted awake, tapping Kurt's arm.
"Kurt, baby, wake up"
"Mhmhmhmh" Kurt mumbled turning over in Blaine's arms to face him.
"Come on sweetheart, it's 9:00am, I'm going to have to go downstairs before they wake up and notice I've gone"
"Fine" Kurt sighed, moving away from Blaine so that he could get up.
"I'll see you later" Blaine whispered, kissing Kurt lightly.
"I'll see you later" Kurt whispered back, returning the kiss.
Blaine wondered downstairs, going back to where he was trying to sleep last night. He lay there with his hands behind his head, unable to go back to sleep. This past week had been really amazing. He'd met Kurt's family, and he was dying for Kurt to meet his, but they weren't the mosy accepting of people. There was a small chance his mom would at least pretend to be okay with it, but his dad....he shivered just thinking about what could happen. No, maybe he should wait a while before telling his parents that he has a boyfriend. His dad was still trying to convince him to get a girlfriend, even though he knew full well he was gay.
"Blaine" he jumped out of his thoughts as he saw Puck sitting there staring at him with a smirk on his face.
"Hm?" Blaine asked, smiling awkwardly.
"You know, I saw you leaving here when you thought nobody would notice yesterday. So I followed you. You went to Hummel's room. I was...intrigued, to say the least, so I waited outside the room for a bit. Listened in. You weren't talking to each other like friends do, were you? I saw you walk out last night as well, when you thought everyone was asleep. So I followed you again. Sleeping in his bed? You're together, aren't you?" Puck asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I-I...Puck, you know I..well...." Blaine sighed, giving in. He was an awful liar. "Yes. Yes, we are. But nobody can know, what with Kurt being....you know, him, and me being...me"
"No problem man, your secret is safe with me"
Blaine breathed a sigh of relief, relaxing again. "Thanks Puck. That means a lot"
"No worries man. And I'm happy for you"
"Thanks again"
Blaine turned over and curled in on himself. Would Puck really keep his and Kurt's relationship a secret....he just didn't know. And Kurt....oh god, Kurt! He'd have to tell Kurt that Puck knows...and he's going to go balistic....
