Author's Notes: Wow, I have a lot of spare time right now, so hey, why not write some more! I've had a week off school, so I've had no homework, other wise I would be swamped and wouldn't be able to update as much. I go back on Monday, so when I go back, I'm afraid that the updates will becom slightly less frequent, but still regular, I promise not to ditch this story! :D Anyway, rambling over, on to Chapter 3! Enjoy! Also I'm sorry if there are any typos, or if I spell things a different way :P I'm English, so I think we spell things like "colour" and "organise" and stuff like that :P

Kurt sighed, exasperated. Getting Blaine to go out with him was going to be harder than expected. Way harder than expected. He thought he could get him to go on a date with him then take it from there. But no. Blaine wanted to forget that they ever talked! How was he supposed to do this if he didn't even want to communicate with him! Come to think of it, the only people he ever talked to was that Rachel girl, a few people in Glee club and the kids he tutors. The lightbulb went off in Kurt's brain. He could get Blaine to tutor him! He would just have to fail a couple of minor tests that didn't really matter. He could request Blaine as the tutor, or make sure that all of the other tutors were taken. This plan was perfect!

Kurt found out that the class he was doing the worst in was Chemistry, and he had 3 tests coming up in the next week anyway, so he would just have to fail them, and then Blaine would be his tutor! Just one week to go. One week, then he can get back to winning his bet with Quinn.

~1 week later ~

"Mr Hummel, you've failed all three tests this past week. I think we need to get you a tutor" Miss Nicol said, looking disappointed.

"I'm sorry Miss Nicol. I was wondering, can Blaine Anderson tutor me? He's one of the school tutors, isn't he?" Kurt asked, smiling to himself slightly.

"Of course. I'll get him to organise a meeting with you as soon as possible" she said, leaning down to talk to Kurt easier.

"But would it be okay if you didn't tell him that I requested him specifically as my tutor? I don't want to make it awkward, you know?" Kurt lied, happy that his plan was falling perfectly into place.

"No problem Mr Hummel. I'll talk to him now as it's the end of class. I'll tell him to contact you as soon as he can. Would that be okay?" she asked.

"Sure thing Miss Nicol. I should be going to my next class now. Thank you!" Kurt replied, packing his things away and walking out of the classroom.

"Blaine!" Miss Nicol called, just as she saw him leaving the room. He turned round and smiled at the teacher.

"Yes Miss Nicol?"

"I have someone for you to tutor. Kurt Hummel. He's failing this class and desperately needs help" she looked at Blaine hopefully.

Oh god, no. Blaine thought. This is not good. So much for staying out of his way. "Okay. I'd be happy to" he nodded, unable to let the teacher down. She was always so kind as well. He couldn't say no.

"Thank you Blaine, you're a star!" she grinned, giving him a pat on the shoulder.

"It's really no problem Miss Nicol. When do you want me to start?" he asked, already dreading the moment.

"Today, if that's possible. I wasn't kidding when I said he desperately needs the help. He really does. I don't know how he failed so badly...strange. Anyway, thank you Blaine, I'll see you next lesson" Miss Nicole smiled at the young boy as he nodded again and walked away.

As Blaine walked to his locker, he spotted Kurt.

"Kurt! Hey, Kurt!" Blaine called as he jogged down the hallway towards him.

"Blaine? I thought you didn't want to talk?" Kurt said, feigning confusion.

"I know, but Miss Nicol asked me to tutor you. She said that you had failed the last three tests, and that she wants me to start today. Is that okay with you? I mean, I can ask her to change your tutor, it doesn't have to be me, but-"

"Blaine, shut up" Kurt interrupted Blaine. "I'm fine with you being my tutor. I don't have practise today, so if you want, you can follow me back to mine in your car? We can start straight away" Kurt closed his locker, standing to face Blaine fully.

"Sure. I'll meet you in the parking lot after school?" he asked, feeling strangely excited.

"In the parking lot. Got it. I'll see you later, Anderson" Kurt smirked, walking away. Blaine sighed. This was going to be a long day.

As soon as the bell rang signalling the end of the day, Blaine jumped up and ran to the parking lot. Kurt was already there, waiting for him.

"So, you ready for our first study date Anderson?" Kurt asked, smirking at Blaine.

"Yeh. Come on, let's get going" Blaine replied, jumping in his car and waiting for Kurt to do the same and lead him back to his.

Blaine followed Kurt back to his house, and walked up to the door that Kurt was in the middle of unlocking.

"Make yourself comfortable. Do you want a drink or do you want to get straight down the studying?" Kurt asked, walking into the kitchen to get a soda.

"Straight to the studying, if that's okay. My parents are going to a party tonight and they decided that they want to take me, which makes a change. My dad said that my mom is going to make me look less....well, me, and try and find me a girlfriend" Blaine looked down at his hands, mentally kicking himself for saying that.

"I thought you were gay?" Kurt stared at Blaine, unsure of what else to say.

"Oh, I am" he reassured him. "And my parents know, they just really don't like the idea, they think that it's just a phase, and they're doing everything they can to get me a girlfriend and make me "normal" again, to quote them"

"Blaine, that's horrible!" Kurt was shocked. He was lucky, he had a dad and a step-mom who accepted him for who is he was, and on top of all that, a step-brother who was the same as his parents, he never really thought that parents would actually do that to their son or daughter!

"I guess I'm just used to it by now. I'm moving out as soon as I'm out of school. Thank god this is Senior year, I can finally get out of Lima and go to New York" Blaine smiled to himself.

"No. Way. You want to go to New York? I want to go to New York! Everyone is so accepting there, and I want to be on Broadway. You're actually the only person I've ever told that to" he grinned at Blaine. They had more in common than he thought.

"I don't want to be on Broadway, I just want to be a singer, a musician, you know? Have albums and everything, maybe get some of my songs on the radio, go on tour..." he trailed off, imagining what it would be like.

"That sounds awesome, Blaine. Really awesome. Now, I think we should start studying before we run out of time" Kurt smiled at Blaine.

"Yeh, you're right. So, where do you want to start?" Blaine asked.

The study session went surprisingly quickly, and Kurt was shocked to discover that he had fun, laughing and joking around with Blaine. Blaine was shocked to find out the same.

"I'll see you tomorrow, okay? Same time?" Kurt asked as Blaine was leaving.

"Sure. Wish me luck for this party tonight!" Blaine laughed.

"Good luck! I should probably start getting ready soon as well, I have a party to go to as well, my dad's dragging me and my brother along, some sort of congressman thing, my dad is...well, he is the congressman, so, it should be thoroughly boring. Bye Blaine!" Kurt smiled at Blaine as he left.

He ran upstairs and opened his wardrobe, taking half an hour to pick the perfect outfit, then took a shower, washed his hair, mousterized, styled his hair into a coif, added a ton of hairspray so that it would hold, and finally got dressed.

"Woah dude, did you take long enough?" Kurt's brother, Finn asked, standing in the doorway.

"You never know Finn, there might be some cute guys there" he smirked, glancing sideways at Finn.

"Right, of course" he chuckled. "Well, Burt says we're leaving now, so..."

"Yep, just coming. Pass me those shoes?" Kurt said, pointing to his white DM's. Finn passed them to him and stood in the doorway, watching him tie up the laces.

"I heard you singing in the shower. You're good. You should join Glee club, you-"
"No, Finn" Kurt interrupted, annoyed at his brother's now daily pleads to get him to join Glee. He couldn't. He just couldn't.

"But why not?" Finn argued. Kurt was really good, and he knew how much he loved to sing. He just wanted his brother to be happy, he could tell he was miserable. He was pretty good at hiding it, but he could see through it. "You love singing Kurt. And I overheard you talking to Blaine earlier, how you want to be on Broadway? The New Directions could help you get there! You would love it Kurt, you really would. And we could use a voice like yours"

"Because I worked so hard to get to the top Finn. I worked so, so hard, and now, I'm popular. I'm popular, and gay, but nobody questions it anymore, nobody would dare make fun of me because of it. If I join Glee club, all of that could be ruined. My reputation would be in tatters, I would be the laughing stock of the school. There's only one more year left of high school anyway. Then I'll be done, off to New York, where nobody knows me, nobody will judge me, and I can just be myself" Kurt sighed, hating himself for being so weak.

"Exactly Kurt, it's the last year, what can go wrong?" Finn raised his voice slightly. Why didn't Kurt just do what he loved?

"You say that like nothing would happen" Kurt raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow at Finn and put a hand on his hip.

"I'm in Glee, Puck's in Glee, hell Kurt, your best friend is in Glee!" Finn shouted, throwing his arms up in exasperation. "We're all still in popular, why can't you be?"

"Because I'm gay Finn!" Kurt screamed, his face reddening in anger. "You all still get to be popular because you're straight, if I join Glee I'll get the shit ripped out of me! My popularity is hanging by a thread! The only reason that I'm even popular in the first place is because I'm on the Cheerios! I take away this uniform, I take away any respect any has or pretends to have for me! Joining Glee would do the same. I'm sorry Finn, but I can't" Kurt said, tears welling up in his eyes. Finn opened his mouth to speak, but he was cut off by Burt calling up the stairs.

"Come on boys, we need to get going now or we'll be late!"

"Coming!" they both yelled back down.

"This isn't over" Finn said, looking at Kurt with determined eyes.

"I think you'll find it is" Kurt whispered, walking out of the room and down the stairs

~

"Blaine, honey, you look dashing!" Alicia said, straightening out Blaine's bow tie.

"Thanks mom" Blaine blushed, trying to bat his mother away.

"Blaine" his father's deep voice growled from the doorway. He stood over Blaine, making him feel aboout 2 feet tall. "You look great. The girls will be surrounding you. You'll be a catch, just like your old man, eh?"

"Oh Matthew" Alicia laughed, giving her husband a peck on the cheek.

"Right, yeh, sure dad...dad...I'm gay, remember? I don't want any of the girls to like me" Blaine whispered, scared of what his dad would do now.

"You still think you're gay? Blaine, I thought you were over that. You're not gay, it's just a phase. I'm not going to get angry at you because I don't want anything to ruin this party. Don't show me up, Blaine, understand?"

Blaine flinched as his father punctuated the word "understand".

"Yes dad" Matthew smirked, putting an arm around his wife.

"Glad we got that sorted. Come on, let's go to this party then! There's going to be a lot of important people there" Matthew said as the family piled into the car.

The journey was only 20 minutes, Blaine sat there listening to music and singing softly to himself, not bothering to join in his parents' conversation because he knew that he would muck it up. When they arrived, Blaine got out the car, and with his parents' permission, went inside, deciding that he would avoid his family at all costs. He made his way straight to the table with the champaigne and grabbed a glass, deciding that this night would be a whole lot more tolerable if there was alcohol in his system.

Suddenely, a hand snatched the glass out of his hand.

"Hey that's-" Blaine stopped when he realised who had taken the drink, and who was now downing it. "Kurt? What are you doing here?"

Kurt set the glass back down on the table and grabbed another one.

"Yeh?" Kurt asked before gulping the second glass down.

"Woah, easy on the drink there. And again...what are you doing here?" Blaine asked, confused.

"I told you earlier I was coming to a party...I guess we were talking about the same party...I wonder if they have anything stronger" he wondered, searching the table.

"Kurt...you should stop, you'll get too drunk and-"

"Drunk sounds good right now" Kurt said, cutting Blaine off. "Aha!" Kurt picked up a bottle of vodka and a shot glass and started knocking them back.

"Why are you getting so drunk?" Blaine asked. If either one of them should be getting hammered, it should be him! He was the one with the parents who hardly cared about him, and who only brought him here so that he could get a girlfriend, even though they knew that he was gay, but they refused to believe it!

"'Cause I wanna sing! I wanna sing but I can't 'cause my repu-reputation would be ruined! It would just die Blaine! It would die! You know why? Because I'm gay! The only thing keeping me from becoming...well, from becoming you, only more fabulous and better dressing, is my Cheerios uniform! With that uniform, nobody can touch me. Nobody! But, if I join Glee club, they could still make fun of me and tease me and bully me, just because I like guys...it's so unfair, I want to be happy! I want to sing!" Kurt yelled, not caring who heard. He was pretty drunk right now, well on his way to being completely smashed, but he didn't care.

"But you can sing Kurt! If you want to join Glee club, join Glee club! We would be happy to have you. And we're like a family in there, so even if you weren't popular, you would have people who would be happy to be your friends, people who care about you, the real you. You'd love it. Don't let the jocks and the bullies decide what you do. Let you decide. And besides, high school is just a small part of your life, there's so much bigger and better stuff out there. In New York! You want to be on Broadway? Be on Broadway! You'd be amazing, I'm sure! I've never actually heard you sing, but I just know that you're a fantastic singer! I can just tell. Come on, I think I should take you home" Blaine said as Kurt began to stumble slightly. He'd been drinking whilst Blaine was talking, and was now so drunk that he couldn't speak coherently.

Blaine told his dad and Kurt's dad what was going on and drove Kurt back to his house.

"Do you have a key?" Blaine asked as he held Kurt up with one arm and searched Kurt's pockets with the other hand.

"Jacket. Right" Kurt mumbled.

Blaine unlocked the door with the located key, and helped Kurt to his bedroom. Kurt flopped on his bed, pulling Blaine down with him.

"Kurt, what are you doing? You're home now, you can go to sleep, take some aspirin in the morning. I've got to get back to the party now" Blaine said, struggling to get up again.

"No! Blaine, stay!" Kurt said, keeping Blaine tightly in his grip.

"Come on Kurt, I have to go" Blaine said, shaking his head.

"Blaine...you know what you should do?" Kurt giggled.

"What should I do?" Blaine asked, playing along.

"You should kiss me"

Wait, what?! Blaine thought. Kiss him? He wants me to kiss him...oh god, he's back to trying to get me into bed, isn't he?

"No Kurt. Go to sleep"

"Kiss me!"

"Kurt..." Blaine warned.

"Please Blaine, just kiss me! I want you to, I don't want to sleep with you! Well, I do, but not now! I just want you to kiss me, please?" Kurt whined.

He's so drunk he won't remember it in the morning. What harm will it do? Blaine thought, slowly leaning in closer to Blaine. He rested his lips against Kurt's. He felt butterfly's in his stomach. This was perfect. This was amazing. This was exactly how Blaine had dreamed it would be.

Kurt pulled away and rested his forehead against Blaine's.

"Thank you" he whispered, before falling asleep.

Blaine kissed Kurt's forehead, then left his house, locking up and driving back to the party. He gave Kurt's dad, Burt, the key, then told his own parents that he was going home. Once he was home, he lay down on his bed and groaned. Picking up his phone, he dialled Rachel's number.

"Hello?"

"Rach. I need to talk to you" Blaine said, feeling close to tears.

"B, what's wrong?" she asked, concerned for her friend.

"We kissed. He was drunk so I drove him home from that party that my parents dragged me to tonight, he was there too, and when we got to his house I helped him to his bedroom, then he pulled me down on the bed with him, he wouldn't let me go, and he asked me to kiss him. At first I said no, but then I thought "hey, he's so drunk that he won't remember it, and he won't let me leave until I kiss him" so I did. Rach....it was amazing...perfect....I think I really like him....not just because he looks so gorgeous, but for him...there's so much more to him than you think....I think I-oh god...Rach...I've fallen for Kurt Hummel"

End Notes: BAM! Blaine likes Kurt! Hope you all liked!

ok so we know blaine likes kurt. but when do we get to see that kurt is no longer in it for the bet with quinn, but that he's in it because he has feelings for blaine? when kurt wakes up "tomorrow", he needs to have an interaction with mr anderson, and then pull an "emma pillsbury" on him i.e. throw up on his shoes ;) that would make me really happy :) d=g

Hey d=g! It makes more sense as the story progresses, I promise :P It's supposed to be confusing right now, I have a plan :P Glad you like it :D
