Blaine jolted upright, rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and groaned. That was the third night this week! The third night that he had dreamt of Kurt Hummel. Sure, Blaine thought that he was bitchy, snarky, and he couldn't stand him, even though they didn't ever talk apart from that one conversation, but his voice...his eyes...his perfectly coifed hair...there was no doubting that Kurt Hummel was good looking, beautiful even, and Blaine would be lying if he said that he didn't have a slight crush on him....but why was he suddenly feeling more? Why was he dreaming of them cuddling together on the couch watching Disney films? What did this mean? Did he really like him for more than his looks? He groaned again, burying his face in his hands.
"Blaine! Get up, you'll be late for school!" His mom banging on his bedroom door yanked him out of his thoughts.
"Just getting dressed mom!" Blaine called backed, dragging himself out of his bed and searched his wardrobe for an outfit. He pulled his clothes on and wandered downstairs in search of food.
"It's already on the table" Alicia Anderson said, pointing at the table that had a plate of waffles on it.
"Thanks mom" he muttered, eating the waffles, grabbing his bag and heading off to school.
He arrived in home room early, as usual, and sat down in his seat, opening his textbook for Physics and getting some early morning studying done. Blaine liked studying, because he didn't have to bother with the world, he could just get lost in numbers, equations and words. Of course, if he did this in school, it wouldn't last long. The jocks would get here soon with their slushies. Blaine glanced at the clock seeing that there was still another 10 minutes until the bell went, so he decided to make a quick trip to his locker. As soon as he set foot out of the classroom, he was hit by 5 ice-cold slushies. He squeezed his eyes shut and willed the tears not to fall. He jumped as he felt a hand on his back, guiding him into the boys bathroom. Opening one eye, he saw that it was none other than Kurt Hummel washing the slushie out of his hair.
"W-why would you help me? You're friends with them" Blaine whispered, looking anywhere but at Kurt.
"You looked like you could use it. You also looked like you were going to stand there and cry all day. I'm not so evil that I'd let you cry in front of everyone. Nobody likes a crybaby Anderson" Kurt said sharply. Maybe now that he'd saved Blaine from further humiliation he would date him and he could win this bet with Quinn.
"I wasn't going to cry!" Blaine lied, not wanting Kurt to know just how much it upset him when the football team slushied him.
"Right. That's why your lip was quivering slightly and your eyes went all watery" Kurt rolled his eyes at Blaine's awful lying technique.
"No they didn't! I wasn't going to cry. I'm used to being slushied now. It's not even that bad"
"Mhm" he rolled his eyes again. "Right, you're all cleaned up now. Got any spare clothes?"
"Yeh, in my locker" Blaine said, looking down at the floor. He knew that Kurt could tell he was lying about not crying. He felt the heat creep up his neck, flooding his face.
"Right, what's your locker combo? You're not going out there with slushie stained clothes" Kurt put a hand on his hip and looked at Blaine expectantly.
"4978" he muttered.
"I'll go get your clothes and you can change in one of the toilet stalls. What have you got next?"
"Social Studies"
"We have that class together. I'll walk there with you, okay?" Kurt asked as he pulled the door open.
"Sure" Blaine nodded, still not looking at him.
Kurt left the room to go and retrieve Blaine's clean clothes, and Blaine groaned for the third time that day, feeling more embarrassed than he ever had in his life. Before long, Kurt was back with an armful of clothes.
"Here you go...I'll wait out here" he said with a smile as he handed the clothes to Blaine, who got changed quickly, and they walked to Social Studies together.
"Listen, Kurt, I don't know why you're suddenly being nice to me, but if it's to get me into bed, it's not going to work. I told you a few days ago, I want my first time to be special" Blaine rushed out just as they were approaching the classroom.
"I wasn't going to suggest that we sleep together actually. I was going to ask you out on a date. Would that be okay?" Kurt glanced at Blaine as they continued to walk slowly down the hallway.
"How do I know that you don't have an ulterior motive? Think about it, Kurt. You are the most popular guy in the whole school, you're attractive, and everyone worships you. I'm the nerdiest boy in the school, the lowest of the low, I'm not the best looking guy, and everyone hates me for some reason. Why on earth would you want to go on a date with me?"
"Hey now, if you look past the insane amount of hairgel, the glasses and the grandpa clothes, you wouldn't look all that bad! You underestimate yourself Anderson. And who says anyone would know about the date? We could have it in private. At mine maybe? My dad's gone to DC with his wife, but my brother will be home, so you won't have to worry about me trying to get you into bed, and I'll make sure my brother doesn't tell anyone about the date, or I can just tell him that you're tutoring me. What do you say?" Kurt asked, stopping outside their classroom.
Blaine looked at him, speechless. Had all of that really just come out of Kurt Hummel's mouth? Really?
"No, Kurt. Just stop. I'm honestly finding it hard to trust you ever since our first conversation, and I feel like you're doing everything you can to get what you want. I'm sorry, but it's still a no. Please, just leave me be. Now, I'm going to go into this classroom and so are you, and as soon as we enter that room, everything will be erased. We're going to pretend like these last few days never happened, and everything will go back to normal, okay?" Blaine pushed past him and walked into the classroom, sitting down in his seat, leaving Kurt gaping at him. He didn't look back, because he knew that he would be tempted to take back everything he just said, so he kept his head down the entire lesson and rushed out as soon as the bell rang, telling the students to get to their next lesson promptly.
When the end of the day came, Blaine went to Glee club, and sat next to his best friend Rachel.
"Hey Blaine! Hey, are you okay? You look a little distant. Boy trouble?" Rachel asked, looking at Blaine through worried eyes.
"I guess you could say that" Blaine sighed, turning to face Rachel fully. "You know Kurt Hummel? The really popular cheerleader, best friends with Quinn Fabray, really cute?" he asked. Rachel nodded, signalling him to continue. "Well, a few days ago, he came up to me and basically came on to me, asking me if I wanted to sleep with him and stuff. I turned him down, and I thought that was it, but ever since that conversation, I've been having dreams about us being boyfriends and cuddling on the couch watching Disney films and stuff, and it's really starting to confuse me. Today, when I was slushied, he cleaned me off, got me new clothes, and walked with me to Social Studies. Then he asked me out. I turned him down again, because why would someone like him want to go out with someone like me? It makes no sense! I think he's just trying to get me into bed any way possible, but I don't want that, so I told him that as soon as we walked into the classroom that we were standing outside, we were going to act like nothing ever happened, then I walked into the classroom, and I've been avoiding him all day"
Rachel stared at Blaine, her mouth wide open and her eyes bulging.
"Oh. My. GOD! Kurt Hummel wants to sleep with you!" she squealed.
"THAT'S what you took from that?!" he yelled, unable to believe what he just heard.
"No, sorry sweetie, listen. Do you like him?" she asked, turnng serious.
"I don't know...sometimes I think I do, then I remember how bitchy he is and how he could just be using me, and I convince myself that I don't like him, that I just think he's good looking, because, come on, he's gorgeous!" Blaine said, looking at Rachel desperately.
"Okay, he is gorgeous, I'll give you that, but B, you've got to really think here. Do you want to be with him? Do you like him for more than his looks? Do you think that he likes you?"
Blaine's mouth opened and closed like a goldfish, unsure of the answers to any of those questions.
"I really don't know Rach. What if I do want to be with him and he wants to be with me and I just told him to forget anything ever happened...how stupid does that make me?!" he babbled, starting to freak out.
"Blaine, Blaine, Blaine" Rachel rested her hands on his shoulders, calming him down. "Chill honey, just take a couple of days to really think about it, okay? You'll figure it out eventually. And you know you can always come to me, right? I promise, whatever you say will be strictly between us. I know I'm not the best at keeping secrets, but when it comes to you, I promise that nothing will escape my lips, okay?"
Blaine threw his arms around Rachel, burying his face in her shoulders.
"Thanks Rach, you really are the best friend I could ever ask for. Now, don't you have a solo to demand?" he smiled at her.
"Of course" she winked, raising her hand and looking straight at Mr Schue.
Blaine sighed, and his head filled with everything he had to take into consideration. He saw Kurt walk past the door on his way to Cheerios practise, and caught his eye. Kurt winked at him, making his stomach flip. Crap. He was done for.

This is sooo sooo good!!! Keep up the great work! I cant wait for more!
Aww, thanks! :D
i don't see what the problem is with blaine going out with kurt once, just so they can get to know each other. i think kurt proposed a reasonable "first date"–although he better tell finn that blaine's tutoring him. we all know that finn will eventually let the kitty out of the burlap (unintentionally, of course) about a first klaine date. nice job...looking forward to chapter 3 :) d=g (a.k.a the queen mum)
Blaine thinks that Kurt is just trying to get him into bed after their first conversation, so he's seeing this as a way to get to that, because Blaine mentioned that he wanted his first time to be special and stuff, so he turned down the date because he was worried of Kurt's ulterior motives :)
