Blaine ran into the jungle. He didn't know where he was running, but he knew that he couldn't stop. It was something about hearing Kurt's voice again, seeing him on that video, it made him miss his fiance more than ever, and he needed to be alone, somewhere where the others couldn't find him. He wanted to re-watch the video again and again in private, re-read the letter until he memorised what was written. He never thought that he could miss anyone this much, even when it hadn't even been a week. It felt like an eternity rather than 5 days. 5 whole days. God, Blaine hated that. 5 days. Just...why did he agree to this show again? He looked up at the sky and noticed that it was beginning to get dark. He lay on the ground and fell asleep. The cameras weren't here, the cameras couldn't get this. He was away from the prying eyes of the rest of the world. He didn't want Kurt to see him like this. He closed his eyes and fell asleep on the jungle ground, not caring about anything but Kurt right now.
~
"KURT! KURT! Please, Kurt, just take me home, please, I don't want to be here anymore, please, just take me back to New York, I was happy there, PLEASE, KURT!" Blaine screamed in his sleep, thrashing on the ground.
"I can hear him!" Dynamo yelled, pointing in the direction of Blaine's voice. Fearne, Lacey, Matt, Russell and Dynamo, who had been searching for him for the past 3 hours, ran towards the sound. They found Blaine, asleep and screaming with what sounded like pain. Russell picked him up and carried him back to camp, Blaine whimpering "Please, Kurt, just get me home" in his arms. Soon, they arrived back at camp.
"Guys, we found him!" Matt called. Everyone rushed over as Russell settled him down in his hammock.
"Where was he?" Jo asked.
"We found him on the ground in the middle of the jungle, screaming for Kurt to take him back to New York. Do you think he really wants to go home? Should we tell Ant and Dec?" Fearne said.
"We should definitely get a medic. God knows what could have happened to him out there" Kelly whispered, not wanting to wake Blaine.
"You're right. I'll go get one" Matthew said, jogging off to find the medic.
"Do you think we should wake him up if the medic is coming?" Joe asked, walking over.
"Yeh, we should. I'll do it" Russell said, shaking Blaine's shoulder lightly.
"Blaine, come on, wake up. The medic is going to see if you're okay in a minute, and we need you to be awake for it"
"Kurt? Kurt, baby?" Blaine shot up, looking around. He sighed in disappoint, and his shoulders slumped as he remembered where he was. In the middle of the jungle in Australia, a long way away from Kurt. His head was pounding, and he felt funny.
"Sorry mate, not Kurt. Come on, sit up, the medic's here"
Blaine sat up as the medic walked over to him. He checked him over and frowned.
"There's something not right. We're going to have to take you to the closest hospital, but first, there's an anxious someone on the phone for you" the medic passed him a large phone, and Blaine held it to his ear.
"Hello?"
"Blaine! Blaine, honey, are you okay? They called and said that you'd gone missing, I was so worried, please tell me you're okay?"
Blaine's heart sped up. Kurt.
"Kurt? Baby, is that you?" Blaine sobbed.
"It's me sweetie, it's me, how are you doing? Are you okay?" Kurt's frantic voice came down the phone.
"I don't know. They're taking me to hospital, but I don't know why. I feel weird Kurt, something inside me, it hurts, it hurts bad. Oh god, I think I'm going to be-" Blaine cut himself off and vomited into the bucket that the medic was holding out for him.
"Blaine?! Blaine, are you okay?" Kurt yelled down the phone. Russell took the phone from Blaine's hand.
"Hey, Kurt right? I'm Russell, I'm another celeb in the jungle with Blaine. He's being sick right now, and he looks really pale, I don't know what happened really, but he ran off and fell asleep in the middle of the jungle and it took us a few hours to find him, so anything could have happened"
"Could you hold the phone to his ear?" Kurt asked, tears streaming down his face.
Russell held the phone to Blaine's ear, and Blaine made a grab for it, pressing it tightly to his ear.
"Kurt?" he whispered hoarsly.
"Sweetie, I just wanted to say that I love you so, so much, and I've been dying here without you, and I can't wait for you to come back home so I can fall asleep with your strong arms round me, for us to lay on the couch and watch Disney films, I just miss you"
"I miss you too baby, I love you so much"
Just as Kurt was about to reply, the medic spoke.
"Your fever's breaking and whatever was wrong with you left when you were sick. I don't think we need to take you to hospital anymore. You're going to be fine"
Kurt let out a sigh of relief.
"Kurt, baby, I love you more than anything in this world, you know that, right?"
"I know honey, I know, I love you too, more than anyone could ever know. You're perfect, so perfect" Kurt whispered.
"I'm not perfect. You're perfect baby, you're so, so perfect. I remember what I promised you. I always remembered. I promise to always love you. To defend you even if I know you're wrong. To surprise you. To always pick up your phone call no matter what I'm doing. To bake you cookies at least twice a year, and to kiss you wherever and whenever you want, and mostly, just to make sure you remember how perfectly imperfect you are. I've always lived up to that, haven't I? I've done all of those things regularly, right? Because if not, I'm so sorry, and I promise, as soon as I get back, I'll do all of those things, I'll make it up to you, I-"
"Blaine" Kurt cut him off, chuckling. "You've done all of those things, more than regularly. Since you made that, you've always loved me, you've always defended me, even when I was wrong, you're always full of the best surprises, in all the time that I've known you, unless your phone is dead, you've never let it go to voice mail when I'm calling, you bake me cookies about 100 times a year, you kiss me wherever and whenever I want, and you tell me that I'm perfect 10 times a day. You've done everything Blaine, everything, you don't need to worry"
"Good. I'd never forgive myself if I hadn't"
"You're pouting right now, aren't you?"
"You know me so well" Blaine laughed. "I love you. I miss moments like this"
"I love you too. I miss this too sweetheart. So much"
Blaine lay back in his hammock, the medic having left 10 minutes ago.
"Baby, it's so great to talk to you again. I feel less homesick with your voice in my ear. I still wish I could hold you and kiss you, but this is more than I could have dreamed of right now. I didn't think I would have any contact with you whatsoever whilst being here"
"I've missed the sound of your voice too. A lot. I wish you were here with me" Kurt sighed.
"What time is it?" Blaine asked.
"10:30am. What about you?"
"2:30am"
"Honey, you should get some sleep" Kurt sighed, not wanting to say the words, not wanting to put down the phone.
"I don't want to. I'm not up for a trial tomorrow, and I don't really mind about Dingo Dollar challenges, I'm sure it won't be too bad. I want it to be like back in High School when I was at Dalton and you had just transferred back to McKinley and we stayed up all night on the phone, just talking about anything and everything. Please, Kurt"
"Sure baby, of course. I don't have work today, so of course we can"
Blaine could hear Kurt's smile in his voice. His own face broke into a huge grin as he talked to Kurt about everything he could possibly think of. Lacey, who was woken up by the sound of Blaine laughing down the phone to Kurt looked over and saw the blissfully happy expression on his face. She smiled to herself and lay back down. Blaine was so in love it was adorable, and it warmed her heart to no end.
"Sweetheart, it's 9am where you are, and you're sounding tired, I think we should come off the phone" Kurt said, sounding upset.
"No! Please baby, don't go" Blaine yelped.
"Do you want me to talk to you until you fall asleep?" Kurt asked, remembering all the times they'd done this when he was in college, or when they went to different schools.
"Yeh" Blaine mumbled.
"Okay honey. You're adorable when you're tired. You always look like a little puppy. You act like one too. You're more of an exciteable puppy when you're awake though. Oh god, I'm engaged to a dog!"
Blaine chuckled sleepily. "I love you so much. So, so much baby. I can't wait till we get married"
"We need to do more wedding planning honey. We need to pick a venue, pick the suits, and-wait, who do you want to be your best man? Who should be the bridesmaids, oh my god, when should it b-"
"Baby, calm down. The venue, we'll pick one soon, as soon as I get home, the suits, we should have matching suits. Black with a grey/silver waistcoat, white shirt and a black bowtie, my best man...well, that's difficult, because not only are you the love of my life and my soulmate, you're my best friend too, but I can't have my soon-to-be husband as my best man so....Coop. Bridesmaids...the New Direction girls? You know, Rachel, Cedes, Quinn, Santana, Brittany, Sugar, Marley, Unique, Tina and Kitty. That is, of course, if that's what you want too! This wedding has to be what we both want, don't go agreeing to things just because it's what I want-"
"Honey, it sounds perfect. That's exactly what I want. I was thinking Finn for my best man. And as for the date, I think we should pick that when you get home"
"Yeh. I can't wait to finally be able to call you my husband. I was able to call you my boyfriend for 6 years, my fiance for 1 year, and as soon as we're married, you'll be my husband for the rest of our lives. I promise you something Kurt, you'll have the happiest marriage anyone could have asked for, I'll make sure of it"
"Blaine...I love you so much" Kurt whispered.
"I love you too babe. You're my whole world"
"Sweetheart, you should go to sleep. I said we could talk until you go to sleep, and you're wide awake again"
"Then keep talking until I'm asleep. Please beautiful, just stay on the phone, please" Blaine's voice cracked, not wanting Kurt to hang up the phone.
"Alright honey, alright, shh, shh, it's okay" Kurt soothed.
They talked for another two hours until Kurt heard Blaine snoring softly.
"Goodnight. Sweet dreams, Blainers" Kurt whispered, hanging up the phone.
~
Blaine woke up with a start, clutching the phone and held it to his ear.
"Kurt? Kurt? Please tell me you haven't hung up? Baby?"
His questions were met with a long drone, telling him that Kurt had hung up when he fell asleep. He groaned and curled up in a ball, missing the sound of Kurt's voice already.
"Hey sleepy head!" Fearne said, giving him a kiss on the cheek. It's the morning. You slept through the day and the night. Are you okay?"
Blaine groaned again and curled into himself even more.
"I'll leave you alone. Breakfast's ready whenever you want it"
"Thanks Fearne" he mumbled, pulling the blankets over his head. One week down. Two to go.
