Summer was officially over. Blaine was sad to see it go for many reasons. He hadn't realized how much he missed his parents while at boarding school. He hated admitting it, but he missed waking up to his mother in the kitchen making breakfast. The way his father would come home after a long day of training at the local base and hug him with a large smile, telling him that they would spend the rest of the day with their 'father-son bonding time'. He missed that bonding time. It had made a lot of good memories. But another reason he hated for summer to be over? It meant he had to return to Westerville, Ohio, and go to school at Dalton Academy for Boys and live in the dorms.
Dalton made him antsy. The guys there were all trust fund babies, much like Blaine himself, except there was a difference between Blaine and his peers at school -Blaine didn't flaunt his money the way they did. He thought that flaunting your money was stupid and pointless. And anyways, why do it at Dalton? Everyone already knows you have money... Unless you're one of the few who were fortunate enough to score a scholarship. There was also the point that Blaine never had to worry about what long-term effects his actions had on his academic standing, or how people looked at him. Now that he was permanently staying at Dalton until he went off to university, he would have to be cautious. No throwing parties in the common room of his dormitory, no pulling insane pranks, no sleeping around or having multiple guys ready to jump at his every command, and most definitely, no making enemies.
Unfortunately, Blaine's freshman year had consisted of everything he shouldn't be doing. He had thrown parties at least once a week in his dorm, so many, that he was known to have guys come up to him in the halls during school hours and asking about when the next one would be, even seniors. He had pulled pranks on everyone, his friends, his roommate, his dorm's prefect, everyone. Thankfully, no one had connected that the infamous Dalton Pranker was him. Blaine always had at least 5 guys at his disposal at Dalton. It was rumours that he would fuck them senseless that kept the guys coming. Even straight guys would come sometimes since they couldn't get girls into the dorms. The thing was, Blaine didn't have sex with any of the guys, at least not at first. He was a virgin when he came to Dalton. But he had a reputation to uphold. His losing his virginity had nothing to do with the fact that he lost it to the hottest, most popular, most beautiful guy in all of Dalton... or at least that's what Blaine told himself.
The worst part of his freshman year though? He had made enemies. Oh boy, had he made enemies. Thank goodness a majority of them had been seniors and he no longer had to deal with them but one still remained. Sebastian Smythe. Sebastian had been one of Blaine's disposables the earlier year. He didn't believe the rumours that Blaine always had multiple lovers at one time, Blaine took advantage of that. They dated for the entire second semester, Blaine still fucking guys on the side, working out a complete schedule with every boy he was with. He didn't really care if Sebastian found out about it, he truly believe his parents would miss him so much that he'd go back to live with them after summer, so when Sebastian surprised Blaine one day after he finished his English exam early by going to Blaine's dorm with a dozen roses and a pass for them to leave campus for the rest of the night and walked in on Blaine having a threesome with Sebastian's best friend and a senior. Blaine shrugged at him, continuing what he was doing and simply saying, "I was going to break up with you, but you're so good in bed... Wanna join? Maybe we can have some break up sex after I finish here." Sebastian had ran out, and never spoke to Blaine again, glaring at him whenever possible.
He hugged his parents before he got on his flight from California to Ohio. Saying goodbye, and see them at Thanksgiving. He spent the flight worrying about what would be greeting him at Dalton. When he arrived at Dalton, he went to the main offices to get his Sophomore greeting package and dorm placement.
He was going to make his time at Dalton as painless as possible. More importantly, and more difficultly, he had to change everyone's impression of him. All that got thrown out of the window on the second day of classes when someone turned him around on the staircase as he was rushing to get to the senior common room for a performance with the Warblers. He was going to turn around and tell the guys to piss off, but he found himself staring into the most beautiful pair of blue/green eyes. His face softened.
"Can I ask you question? I'm new here," The boy told him. His mind told him to say something snarky back, but he bit his tongue and stuck out his hand.
"My name is Blaine," He told him, slightly checking out the boy in front of him who was obviously not in uniform.
"Kurt," He responded, shaking Blaine's hand. "So what exactly is going on?"
"The Warblers!" Blaine exclaimed, with an 100-watt smile, "Every now and then they throw an impromptu performance in the senior commons. It tends to shut the school down for a while." Blaine told him, winking slightly.
"So, wait, the glee club here is kinda cool?" Kurt asked him. Blaine smiled slightly, he knew it. This kid was a spy form another glee club.
"The Warblers are like... rockstars." Blaine watched as Kurt's expression changed. His eyebrows lifting in surprise and shock. Eyes watering. Maybe this kid wasn't here just to spy on the Warblers. "C'mon," Blaine told Kurt, grabbing his hand, "I know a shortcut." His initial plans had been to pull Kurt into the abandoned halls in the senior wing of the school, which was really no shortcut, it was just free of witnesses. He was going to push Kurt into a wall or into one of the many closets that lined the halls, kiss him hard and get into this kid's pants right then and there. Resolve be damned, he deserved this after a week of no trouble. He tried to convince himself he was just gonna show Kurt that it was wrong to spy and when you do something wrong you get punished. The Warblers would be fine without him for this one performance. Avery could easily jump in and sing lead for Blaine.
But, Blaine couldn't go through with it. He got to the senior commons without breaking his resolve. He watched Kurt through eagle eyes during the entire performance. His friends, David and Wes saw the way Blaine was staring at him. He looked at each other in alarm. They knew that look, Blaine was preparing for another conquest. He had lasted a week, they wouldn't let him screw it up to screw another guy.
"Blaine," Wes pulled him to the side after the performance, "Whatever you're thinking of doing, don't." Blaine rolled his eyes, quickly flicking his eyes over to where Kurt was waiting for him.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Wesley." Blaine said, Wes groaned.
"Yes, you do, you know exactly what I'm talking about. You're better than this, Blaine. I know that you want to have some fun. You deserve some fun after this past week of staying out of trouble, but not this kind of fun. Tomorrow's Friday, we can get a weekend pass and go up to my family's house at Lake Erie and get drunk, but don't screw this kid." Blaine sighed, looking back to Kurt.
"Well, I have to go talk to him... he's a spy from another glee club." Wes pursed his lips.
"David and I will come with you." Blaine's eyes widened. Damn, his plan backfired.
