"Hey not so fast, I'm sorry for invading your privacy earlier, I get how scary it can be on your first day, and well they signed me up to be your mentor, you are Porcelain right? I heard the other guy talking to you so I could show you around if you'd like?" Blaine said almost shyly.
Porcelain narrowed his eyes.
"Are you blind?" Porcelain asked simply.
This time Blaine's eyes showed confusion, the beautiful hazel gleamed and it nerved him how beautiful this boy was so he looked away in hatred.
"I said..." Porcelain begun but Blaine finished it off for him.
"Are you blind, I heard and no I'm not deaf either," Blaine smiled but frowned as a few teachers were whispering about Porcelain behind his back, he could sense it, and he turned his head to glare at them. Blaine gently guarded Porcelain out of the room. Porcelain was too shocked by the concern in the other boy's eyes before he could react to being led out.
"I can deal with people you know, you don't have to hang around like a puppy," Porcelain hissed as he shrugged of the hand on his back.
Blaine didn't look hurt at all, instead he was chuckling. The noise was peaceful to Porcelain who wasn't used to that sort of reaction. Normally people told him to go die in a hole, this time something was wrong.
"I'm sure you can, but unlike you I actually worry about what people think," Blaine responded, smiling as he straightened up Porcelain's collar and tie.
"Who are you, my mother?!"
Porcelain shrugged his hand away. Blaine avoided it but didn't let it bother him.
"Well I'm sorry for your inconvenience of having to be my mentor, but you can go away now, as I'd rather be lost in these god forsaken buildings than suffering with your immensely boring company, besides your teachers won't even notice me here, just get lost,"
Porcelain suggested walking around the room and actually appreciating the old piano that was hidden in the corner. He gently moved his finger over it feeling the cool hardwood with a pleasant sigh; almost forgetting Blaine was there he quickly put on his best poise and crossed his arms over his chest waiting for the door to close.
It didn't. He turned around to find Blaine staring at him with an amazed look on his face.
"Did it ever occur to you, that maybe I wanted to get to know you as well as be your mentor?" Blaine asked.
Porcelain laughed sarcastically.
Yeah right...
"Well...mentor, since you care so much about other people's feelings...I would like to be alone, so if you aren't going to do anything useful, as stand here and talk at least escort me to my room, where I can be left in peace," Porcelain requested folding his arms.
Blaine was staring at him curiously; Porcelain had never been so confused in his entire life or saw such a beautiful face...NO. He couldn't think that way.
He wouldn't.
"Can't you see I'm green? Where the hell is your guide dog or cane or whatever you people use?"
"I already told you I'm not blind, and I actually know a blind person, so you shouldn't speak harshly about them, everyone deserves to be treated the same, even you even though your mind thinks just because you're green, you shouldn't, it isn't true," Blaine replied.
Porcelain exhaled sharply, he could feel tears developing but refused to let them escape. Blaine tilted his head as though he understood.
"Show me to my room," Porcelain ignored his feelings and the look Blaine gave as he stared past Blaine toward the doorway.
Blaine nodded, and gestured for Porcelain to follow him and they walked in silence. Every time a kid made a rude remark to Porcelain on the way however Blaine pulled him quicker and told them to politely leave, before trouble was caused. Blaine hadn't realised how many enemies Porcelain had already made.
Eventually though Nick and Jeff came around and apologised to Porcelain who snapped back at them, of course Porcelain snapped at them, he wasn't used to confrontations but things were different here.
People were nice.
Nice, a foreign word to Porcelain, a place he didn't belong in like Blaine did.
Blaine was someone he didn't want to hurt he realised that when the boy first looked at him. Porcelain felt his stomach drop with regret of meeting Blaine, because Blaine was different, he was pure kind, he was beautiful...someone Porcelain could never be around as he was wicked, he was going to hurt him, and he felt responsible for it, guilty even, which never happened to him before.
"You're quiet," Blaine stated. Porcelain didn't answer as they found his room and Blaine would leave, just like everyone else did. Good, Blaine would save him trouble.
"Well I guess I'll leave you alone for now, but if you'd like someone to talk to, just come find me," Blaine smiled patting Porcelain's arm, as he walked away.
Of course, just as expected.
Porcelain didn't say anything as Blaine left. He didn't even bother to unpack; he just went to the bed and laid down. He didn't have a roommate, so he just stared at the ceiling feeling exhausted. There had been too many feelings in one day when he met the handsome preppy school boy name Blaine.
He envied Blaine, he envied how many people had stopped by to say hello to Blaine as they walked to his room, and even tried to say hello to Porcelain because Blaine introduced him, but he didn't need Blaine, no, he didn't need anyone, he didn't want to be popular, he just wanted to be normal.
Porcelain went to sleep, and was surprised when he saw a note under his door the next morning or afternoon whatever time it was when he woke up. He picked it up from the floor and unfolded it being more surprised when it was from Blaine.
I know you want to be left alone but I attached the schedule of your classes, you don't have to attend today, you must be exhausted but I'll come back tonight to pick you up for dinner.
Courage ~Blaine.
Courage...what did that word mean? Porcelain wondered.
Porcelain smiled slightly, the first time in years, he wondered what this boy was up to. He stayed in his room thinking that even Blaine would not bother with him if he'd stay away from people. Unfortunately that was not the case. He heard a knock on the door, and again, and again, and again, but then it stopped. Porcelain sighed with relief, and sank back into the comfortable pillows.
"Porcelain are you alright?" Blaine asked eventually.
Porcelain groaned loudly. This boy would not leave him alone.
"DO NOT CALL ME PORCELAIN!" He shouted.
"What would you like for me to call you then?" Blaine asked still outside the door waiting. The smell of delicious food became noticed and his stomach growled.
"Mr Asshole if you'd like, anything but Porcelain!"
"I couldn't call you that," Was the soft reply.
Why ever not? He thought.
"What never swore once in your life?" Porcelain smirked.
"I've sworn plenty, but I just don't think you're an asshole," The reply came.
"Go away," Porcelain begged. It was hard for him to concentrate.
"No," Blaine supplied leaning closer towards the door as he could hear him clearer. The smell became more obvious. It spelt like some sort of salad dish. Must be from the Cafeteria.
"Excuse me?" Porcelain had enough. He thrust the door open with fury revealing the handsome mentor holding something behind his back.
Blaine smiled.
"Leave me alone!" He repeated but the boy refused to and instead was about to bring his hand out to calm Porcelain down. He was sick of him not doing what he wanted! Blaine's smile didn't leave his face and it was making him nervous.
Porcelain didn't allow him too move his hand further as he raised his right hand and punched Blaine hard. The smooth skin was now bruising as Blaine tumbled backwards falling over, food falling out of his hand. When Porcelain realised the food was for him, he grimaced as the boy touched the red mark on his cheek in pain.
He had hit Blaine. The sound that had escaped was not fear but pain. That made Porcelain realise Blaine never deserved it.
Blaine blinked several times and did not get up.
Porcelain felt sick.
Evil.
He was evil.
He sighed heavily.
"I didn't want to hurt you," He said softly avoiding the upset look on Blaine's face as he shook his head. His eyes watered at what he had done.
"Why did you hit me?" Porcelain winced at the whining sound.
Porcelain ran. He couldn't look at Blaine. Blaine didn't call for him which made him feel even worst.
Instead he followed the smell of cafeteria food.
"Where's Blaine?" Nick asked him as he came rushing in the dining hall, avoiding all contact of students and teachers, sure that he would cry if he looked up.
Porcelain looked down at his hand with an even more sicken feeling in his stomach but pushed past Nick towards the front of the food line, he received several hatred glares as he pushed in front of the register and asked for two chicken salads, which he had realised was what Blaine ordered.
The lady was too scared of him to send him to the back, so he harshly grabbed his food and was annoyed when the kid named Jeff interrupted.
"Blaine already told me that he was going to eat dinner with you? Do you know where he is, if you aren't then he may as well come to Warblers rehearsals." Jeff asked trying not to get sound like a child begging for his best friend to come over.
Blaine skipped the warblers for him?
He knew who the Warblers were. They were the school's rocks stars. When he first arrived all of their names with their school photos were hung on the wall for winning some sort of competition. He remembered being impressed when he saw Blaine as the lead soloists.
"No, I'm still eating with him, I went to buy the food, what room number is he?" He asked not mentioning that he hit their best friend and also thinking Blaine wouldn't be waiting outside the door any longer after he ran off.
"He's next door to you," Jeff said confused.
"Oh..., um...thanks?" He hurried of carrying the chicken salad, running towards their rooms.
Blaine was next door...
Porcelain continued to run still holding the food in his hands down the hallways to room 394.
Even the wicked could do some good, if that meant just buying some food.
