Chapter 2 – Cats can be your friend
Blaine as now a cat looked around…he was in Dalton. Oh thank Rowling he was still in his school. At least he wouldn't have to go very far…that is until…
"AH!"A scream echoed down the hallway. Of course…
Trent was allergic to cats.
"Get him out of here now!" Trent whimpered.
"Trent! Please! I'm your best friend, you have to recognise me!"
Meows escaped instead of his voice. Blaine gasped. This wasn't good.
"What's the matter Trent?" Wes entered with David walking besides him. The boy hid behind the couch pointing down the hallway at him.
"It's a black cat," Trent whispered loudly as though Blaine could suddenly just appear at his side in a minute.
"Yes, we are aware," David frowned.
"He's allergic to cats," Wes added to David who only nodded.
"Oh…"
"Don't worry buddy we'll get him out," Wes started to walk forward to Blaine's area.
"But what if someone owns him? Look at him, he's shivering, you can't just leave him out in the cold," David pouted.
Bless you David. Bless you.
Blaine hadn't even noticed he was shivering. Geez…these poor cats must freeze in the winter time.
"Fine then, let's see if we can find his owner, but get him out of this room, and none of the boys should have brought a cat into the school in the first place, and think of poor Pavarotti!"
As if I wanted to eat Kurt's bird. Seriously Wes? Blaine thought bitterly.
"He's a talkative one," David chuckled.
Oh…he said that aloud didn't he… well…Meowed it aloud.
"Here Kitty Kitty, come to papa,"
"Why do you get to be the papa? You're the one that wants to get rid of him!" David fumed.
"Just get him out of here!" Trent started to sneeze.
"Alright, fine!" Blaine decided to walk into David's arms. He felt safer knowing David liked cats.
David smirked at Wes who gave him a horrified expression.
"He chose you! Why did he choose you?"
"Because all cats choose me,"
"Explains why you don't have a girlfriend," Wes grinned.
"Shut it!"
"At least I don't carry a Gavel around like a baby; cats are living souls you know,"
"Don't bring Gavy into this!"
"You named that horrid object?"
"So what if I did?"
"GUYS!"
"We're going, we're going,"
"Big baby,"
"Don't be mean David, you'd be yelling too if you were allergic,"
"Oh whatever,"
The two boys walked down the familiar halls and asked anybody who came along if they knew who the owner was. They all shook their heads, or decided to join them in finding the owner. Blaine recognised Kurt's dorm coming up, but they turned around and walked the way to their rooms.
"We are so lucky that no teachers hang around,"
"If they knew about this cat, we'd be doomed,"
"We'd be kicked out,"
"There has to be something we can do with him?"
"We could let him go outside?" Wes suggested.
"Aw…come on Wes," David gave him puppy eyes.
"Don't give me those; they only work on Blaine,"
"Where is Blaine?" David wondered as Blaine rolled his eyes.
And they said he was the oblivious one.
Blaine meowed.
"Maybe he knows where Blaine is?" David suggested. Wes scoffed.
"Oh please, cats can't hear what we say,"
You are so screwed if I ever get back into human shape. Blaine thought.
"You don't know that," David defended.
You my friend are on my good book.
"Oh come on David, cats can't understand human language otherwise they would know when we were feeding them pills in their diets…my sister has to do that to her cat,"
"It's funny how your sister has a cat…and yet… this one chose me over you…"
Wes glared at David.
Blaine rolled his eyes again. This was going to take forever…
The door was open. Well that was stupid of them. Blaine realised if there actually was a cat they could just run out of here….wait…maybe he could get out and find out who did this to him, because there was no way, he was going to let these two fight over him all day… he had things to do.
Wes poured some water into a bowel and put it on the floor. Well… Blaine did feel firsty. He hadn't had anything all day… Blaine licked the water in the bowel, and found it strange that he could feel it like a whole sip.
"Did you see Kurt?" David then said which caught Blaine's attention.
"Yeah…he looked so upset, poor kid; I swear I wish we never let Sebastian come into Dalton,"
What was so wrong with Sebastian? Blaine questioned.
"It's not in our hands though, the teachers decide, and besides it's not all his fault, Blaine is part to blame here," David acknowledged.
What? Hey that's not fair! I had nothing to do with Sebastian…he is the one that Kissed me, and I don't see how any of this is to do with Kurt leaving…
"I wouldn't say he was to be blamed, I would just say he's incredibly naïve, Kurt is so in love with him, and he looks straight through him!"
Woah…wait…what?
"We don't know that though, I mean I thought Kurt loved him too, but now he just looks depressed all the time, maybe we haven't included him enough in solos and backings, he is a bright kid, and the workload is heavy at Dalton, there could be plenty of reasons for him to be leaving,"
Blaine had to find Kurt.
Blaine waited till they weren't looking at him and dashed out as soon as he could.
"Where'd he go!" He heard David yell.
"I don't know, you were meant to be watching him!" Wes added.
"Don't put this on me,"
"Come on let's find him,"
Blaine ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He almost reached Kurt's door when ….
BAM.
A door swung into his head.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" Kurt freaked as he crouched down to Blaine's level.
"Kurt!" Wes screamed down the hall.
"Thank god you found him!" David breathed heavily as they reached him.
"Why is he lying like that?" Wes tilted his head at Blaine.
"Kurt's door hit him, you idiot," David answered.
"Guys? Whose cat is this?" Kurt asked picking up Blaine and stroking the curls.
"I found him,"
"No I found him; you wanted to get rid of him,"
"We both found him; he was in the building,"
"His curls are so beautiful!" Kurt exclaimed.
Blaine moaned. It did feel good to have Kurt touching his curls like that.
"He likes you," David noted.
Kurt grinned.
"Can I keep him?" Kurt begged.
"Only if we can't find the owner,"
Kurt nodded.
"Sounds fair, hey do you guys know where Blaine is? I…I want to say goodbye before I go,"
"We haven't seen him since yesterday afternoon," David frowned. Kurt continued stroking Blaine's back. Blaine nuzzled into Kurt's hand and listened.
"Yeah, he didn't even come back for curfew; it's not like him,"
"I think he's annoyed at me," Kurt frowned.
I wasn't annoyed, I'm just upset Kurt… I can't lose you…and you are holding me right now!
Blaine meowed.
David shook his head.
"No Kurt, he wouldn't be annoyed at you,"
"He was upset I didn't tell him I was leaving," Kurt disagreed.
"Yeah, well he's going to miss you more than any of us will, not that we won't miss you either,"
"I'm sure he'll be fine,"
No I won't be. Don't say that Kurt.
"We just want the best for you Kurt, and so does Blaine,"
You are back on my good book Wesley. Blaine sighed.
"Would it be awkward…if I hugged you guys?" Kurt asked.
Wes and David burst out laughing.
"Come here," Wes grinned. He put an arm around Kurt; Kurt held Blaine in the middle, as David put an arm around Wes and an arm around Kurt's other shoulder. Blaine was held securely in Kurt's arms.
"We are known for hugs."
"Don't forget us,"
"Well we are your competition anyway,"
"I could never forget you guys."
