One Year Later…
Kurt and Blaine both stood outside of the auditorium of McKinley high school in their red caps and gowns. All of their friends standing around knowing that this was only the beginning of a wonderful future.
Blaine took Kurt's hand and pulled him away from the group. “What?” He asked.
“Nothing. I just can't believe after last year.” Blaine looked to the ground.
“Babe, last year is nothing. The only thing that happened was us. Us, together. That's all you need to remember.” Kurt leaned in to kiss Blaine. His cap fell off his head. “This damn thing is ruining my hair.”
Blaine rolled his eyes. “I love you.” Blaine kissed him again. Kurt started fussing with his cap as Blaine laughed at him.
“You could help me.” Kurt snapped. Blaine helped Kurt reposition his cap on his head.
They heard the music begin to play and got back in line.
“Kurt Hummel.” Principle Figgins said. Kurt walked across the stage and Ms. Pillsbury handed him his diploma. “Blaine Anderson.” Blaine followed Kurt and stood next to him. It didn't take long for their hands to meet and they laced their fingers together. “Ladies and Gentlemen your graduating class of 2012!”
As everyone threw their caps into the air Blaine turned to Kurt and kissed him in front of everyone.
Four months later…
Kurt and Blaine walked up the stairs of the large apartment building in New York City. Blaine was carrying both of their suitcases.
They came to a door that said ‘7A' on it. Blaine dangled the keys in front of Kurt before he unlocked the door. “Home sweet home.” He said as he set the bags down on the floor.
Kurt quickly kissed Blaine catching him off guard and making him stumble into the wall. “This is perfect.” Kurt said stepping away from his boyfriend.
Over the next month Kurt continued to make the little apartment feel like home. Photos of the two of them and Kurt's family. Pictures of Blaine and Cooper.
The first night after a day spent apart Kurt and lit candles and spread rose petals across the floor in a trail to the bedroom. Blaine walked in and didn't question anything. He knew that night was two year anniversary of their first kiss. He went straight to their bedroom. “Hey.” Kurt said turning around once he heard the door open.
“Hey.” Blaine said to him.
“Come here.” Kurt said offering out his hand to Blaine. The hand that still had the promise ring on it.
Blaine walked over to Kurt and kissed him without any thought. Kurt's tongue invaded Blaine's mouth and they quickly fell to the bed.
Blaine started sucking at Kurt's neck as Kurt slid his hand into Blaine's pants.
It didn't take long for Blaine to completely undress himself and assist with the undressing of Kurt. Their hard cocks pressed together between them was far too much for them to take. Blaine reached for the lube and condom and coated his dick before gently placing the head of his cock barely touching Kurt's entrance.
“Please, Blaine.” Kurt moaned loudly.
Blaine started to enter Kurt slowly. He stopped after a loud shriek from Kurt that told him he had hit his prostate. “You okay?” Blaine asked knowing that it could easily hurt him. Kurt only nodded.
“Move, Blaine.” Kurt gasped. Blaine only leant down to suck on that spot that drove Kurt crazy. Kurt's finger nails were digging into Blaine's back. “Please.” Kurt whined. He knew that Blaine loved when he begged him to just fuck him. Blaine pulled out slightly and thrust back into Kurt with great force. Kurt only screamed with pleasure. “Ohmygod, Blaine!”
Blaine thrust in and out of Kurt while still sucking on his neck. “Harder.” Kurt let out. He needed to cum, but he wanted this to last. Blaine thrust into Kurt's prostate harder and faster than before.
Kurt hit the edge with a loud scream and cum shooting out onto his body. Blaine kept thrust in and out of Kurt until he too had his orgasm.
Blaine collapsed on top of Kurt and slowly pulled out. Kurt winced at the movement. Blaine knew that he was gonna be sore the next day. Kurt laid out flat on the bed and jumped at the contact of his ass to the mattress. Blaine rolled off of Kurt and let him curl up into his side. “I hate when you let me hurt you.”
“Honey, I ask for it.”
“But after you hurt. And I—“
“Stop.” Kurt interrupted. “We've had this discussion before. I'm fine. It will be gone tomorrow. Right now just hold me.” Kurt told him. Blaine placed a soft kiss on his lips before pulling Kurt closer to his body.
No one was going to ruin what they had. It was perfect.
Two Years Later…
Blaine was backstage getting ready for his first show as Finch in How To Succeed In Business.
Kurt came into his dressing room. “Hey. How you doing?” He asked resting his hands on Blaine's shoulders.
“I'm surprisingly calm. Of course I'll get nervous as soon as I'm in that harness being lowered to the stage.” He said standing up.
“Don't be.” Kurt said rubbing in a small amount of make-up. “You're going to be amazing. Just like when you were eight.”
“You never saw me when I was eight.”
“I heard rumors.” Kurt smiled and kissed him. “Everyone is here. My dad, Carole, Finn, Nick, and Trent. Cooper. Wes.” Kurt smiled at him.
“You're making me nervous.” Blaine said stepping away.
Kurt followed him to the couch. “I'm gonna go take my seat. I love you. Break a leg.” Kurt kissed him again.
“I love you too.” Kurt left the room and Blaine sat back down at his vanity. He pulled a small box from under a towel and opened it. “Please say ‘yes'.” He said to himself.
As the show came to an end the group sat in the audience in awe of Blaine's performance. He was perfect throughout the entire show. After curtain call and the audience sat back down Blaine re-entered the stage.
Kurt could tell he was extremely nervous about something, but he didn't know what. The first show was over already and he was flawless.
“Welcome everybody.” He said. “I really hope you enjoyed the show. It's been amazing being back here on Broadway it's been almost twelve years since I've been on stage in a show.” He continued. He glanced over at Kurt and smiled. Seeing Kurt's beautiful smile always calmed him down. “And tonight I have someone very special to me in the audience. I'm not supposed to do this, but I got permission just this once.” He chuckled. Suddenly all of the butterflies were back. His stomach was doing somersaults. “If my wonderful boyfriend could come up here please. You might remember him as ‘Kurt von Trapp' back in 2002, but I call him Kurt Hummel.”
Kurt slowly made his way to the stage. He finally met Blaine on stage. “What are you doing?” He asked quietly.
“Kurt, we met performing with Broadway Kids when we were six. You were my best friend. You've always been my best friend.” Kurt finally realized what was going on. Why Blaine had been so nervous before and after the show. “I was lost when you moved away. But somehow we managed to find each other again. And I never knew how strong someone could love until I fell in love with you.” Kurt's breathing got very shallow. “You helped me through the hardest time of my life. You stood by me when I was at my lowest. I don't know much, but one thing I am completely sure of is how much I love you.” He said. Blaine dug into his pocket and pulled out the box he looked at before the show. He got down on one knee and looked Kurt in the eyes. “So, Kurt Hummel, the love of my life, will you marry me?”
It was so quiet in the theater waiting for Kurt's response the sound of a pin hitting the floor could have been heard. “Yes.” Kurt said.
Blaine immediately got to his feet and kissed his fianc. The audience erupted in applause. They broke their connection and Blaine slid the ring on Kurt's finger. “I love you so much, Blaine.” Kurt said to him.
“I love you too.” They kissed again.
Eight Months Later…
Kurt was rushing around the venue trying to make sure that everything was in its perfect place. He was moving flowers from side to side and adjusting the arrangements hanging from the chairs. “Kurt!” Mercedes yelled from the back. “Kurt! You need to get ready. Guests are going to be arriving soon. Come on.” She took his arm and pulled him back into his dressing room.
Blaine was walking around the ceremony space as a man walked into the back of the room. “Blaine Devon Anderson.” He heard from behind.
Blaine quickly turned to see his grandparents standing there. “What are you doing here? You weren't invited.” Blaine said sharply. He didn't want them there. He had spent four years trying to erase them from his memory. “Leave.” He said forcefully.
“Blaine, I'm sorry.” His grandfather said.
“I don't accept your apology.” Blaine snapped.
Kurt walked out into the main area. “Blaine…what are they doing here?” Kurt asked pointing to Matthew and Edith. “Get out. You are not ruining this day for me.”
“Kurt—“
“We don't want to hear it.” Blaine cut him off again. “This is my wedding day. To this man, whom I love. Yes, man. I'm still with Kurt. I will always be with Kurt.” He said and walked over to stand next to Kurt.
“Blainey, we don't have a lot of time left and you and your brother mean so much to us.” Edith said.
“If I meant a lot to you, you wouldn't have defended him. You wouldn't have said that you can't stand to be around homosexuality. If you cared you would have called before now.” Blaine's voice was raising. “It's been four years since he went to prison. Four!” Blaine started to get emotional.
“Honey, go get ready.” Kurt told him rubbing his back. He just wanted Blaine to stay calm before the ceremony. Blaine walked into the back to change into his tuxedo. “Get out!” He said sternly. “You are not welcome here. You've already fucked him up enough. He's spent the last four years trying to forget what you did. He's still waking up with nightmares. Get out!” Kurt said and walked away.
Matthew and Edith Anderson stood in the same spot for a few more seconds before deciding it would best for them to leave.
Kurt knocked on Blaine's door. “Honey, are you okay?” He asked through the door.
“I'm fine.” Blaine said back to him. “Go get ready. I'll see you in 30 minutes.”
“I love you.” Kurt told him.
“I love you too.”
Thirty minutes later the room was filled with family and friends. All of the Warblers were there and the New Directions. Mr. Shue, Blaine's cast, Kurt's co-workers at Vogue, everyone they had ever cared about was there. Cooper and his current girlfriend.
Kurt stood in the back with Rachel, Mercedes, and Tina before the ceremony began. “Remember when Rachel had that huge crush on Blaine and was insisting that he wasn't gay?” Mercedes asked laughing.
“I try not to.” Kurt laughed.
The music began to play and the girls lined up and entered the hall one by one. Finally it was Kurt's turn to enter. He thought he would be nervous or suddenly second guess his decision, but there was nothing but happiness inside of him. As soon as he saw Blaine's smiling face he wanted to run down the rest of the isle and just hold him. He just wanted to be married to Blaine. He didn't think he could make it through the ceremony.
The officiant kept the ceremony short and sweet like they had requested. “Now Kurt and Blaine have decided to share their own vows to each other.” She said. “Blaine?”
Blaine took out a piece of paper and looked at it. He then folded it back up and put it in his pocket. “I don't need that. All I need is you. Remember when we were six and before our first performance you got really nervous?” Blaine asked him. Kurt nodded and chuckled. “And I held your hand through the entire show even though I wasn't supposed to? And I got in trouble afterwards.” The both laughed. “Then years later whenever I was scared or nervous you held my hand. Even though we got dirty looks and people said horrible things. You held my hand. I made a promise to you about four years ago.” He took Kurt's right hand that still had the promise ring on it. “You're wearing it even today.” Blaine was beginning to cry. “I promised you forever. Forever is what I intend on giving you. There are no words to tell you how much I love you, Kurt Hummel. And I will spend the rest of my life trying to find them or show you how much I will always love you.”
“Kurt.” The officiant said.
“Blaine Anderson, you know how to make a man's heart soar. Even when you're not trying. So many times people will tell you that at six it is the most unlikely thing to find the person you'll spend forever with, but I did. Of course I was six and I didn't know that.” The room laughed. “We've been through so much together. I promise that no matter what comes up in our lives we will get through it together; holding hands.” Kurt's tears were flooding his face. He didn't know if he could finish. “I never thought I could be this happy; all of the bullying and the harassment, finding you was a miracle. I couldn't ask for a better partner in life.” Blaine was wiping away Kurt's tears. The entire crowd was crying at the love of these two boys. “I just…I love you much, Blaine. Thank you for bringing me happiness.”
“The rings?” The officiant asked.
Wes pulled out Kurt's ring and Mercedes gave Kurt Blaine's. “With this ring I thee wed.” Kurt said sliding the ring on Blaine's finger.
“With this ring I thee wed.” Blaine put the ring on Kurt.
“By the power vested in me, by the state of New York, I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may kiss.”
Blaine took Kurt by the neck and kissed him like it had been years since their lips had touched each other. Kurt's hands rested on Blaine's hips enjoying the kiss for as long as it lasted.
The two men walked back up the isle hand in hand with the largest smiles on their faces. They stepped outside the doors and closed them. “I love you so much, Mr. Hummel-Anderson.”
“I still think you cheated that coin toss.” Kurt laughed.
“Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't. We will never know.” Blaine said jokingly pulling Kurt in for another kiss.
A year and a half later…
The phone rang and Kurt almost ran to answer it. “Hello?” He said into the phone. “Really? Yes, we will be right there. Thank you so much.” Kurt hung up the phone. “Blaine!” He yelled through their Manhattan apartment. “Blaine!” He started going through each room. “Blaine, there is a girl that wants to meet us.”
Blaine appeared out of nowhere. “Really?”
“Yes, right now. We have to get to the adoption agency.”
They both ran from their apartment to the adoption agency. They finally got to the agency and walked into a small room. There was a young girl sitting on a small couch with a baby in her hands. “Hi.” She said once she noticed they were in the room.
“Hi.” Blaine said walking over to her. “I'm Blaine. This is my husband Kurt.”
“I'm Anna.”
“Who's this?” Kurt asked sitting down next to Anna reaching his finger out trying to get the baby to grab onto it.
“She doesn't have a name.” Anna told them. “She's only a few days old and I knew I wasn't going to keep her.” She said looking down at her baby. “The life I lead is nothing for a child. And I saw you're file. Broadway and Vogue. That's really impressive.” She was beginning to cry. “This is harder than I thought, but you two seem like such wonderful people.” The baby opened her eyes and looked at Kurt. “She likes you.”
“Kurt is a child magnet.” Blaine said smiling.
‘I've spent nine months reading about people who want to adopt. For various reasons, but then I came across you two and I just knew. I knew that with two amazing dads this baby would grow up happy and loved more than anything.”
“We would be honored.” Kurt told her. “And I have the perfect name.” Kurt smiled at Blaine. They both knew what the other was thinking.
“Anna, you may be involved as you would like.” Blaine told her.
“No, I think it's best if she doesn't know who I am. Just tell her that I love her very much. That's why you have her.” She told the men standing before her.
“Of course.” Kurt told the girl.
Anna handing the baby to Kurt and quickly left the room. “Should I?” Blaine asked pointing towards the door.
“I'd give her some time.” Kurt told him looking down at his new baby girl. “You know, Anna Hummel-Anderson, you are going to be the most loved baby in all of New York.”
Blaine sat down next to Kurt and tickled Anna's belly. “You are safe. You are beautiful. You are healthy. You are loved.” He said to her. “I know what you're probably going to say, but what about Elizabeth?”
“I thought we mentally agreed on Anna?” Kurt asked confused.
“One way to put it.” Blaine laughed. “No her middle name. Anna Elizabeth Hummel-Anderson. That is one heck of a name.”
“I love it.” Kurt said as he kissed Blaine.
“I call ‘daddy'.” Blaine announced.
“You can't just call what she'll call you in two years.” Kurt told him.
“You look like more of a ‘papa' then ‘daddy'.” Blaine told him as he stared at his new daughter.
“What's that supposed to mean?” Kurt asked almost offended.
“Nothing.” Blaine said to him. “I wish that we would have more time to prepare. We have nothing in that extra room.”
“Let's go.” Kurt said setting Anna down in the rickety car seat she was brought in. “Car seat is bought first.” Kurt said sternly.
They walked out of the room and saw Anna with her parents. As soon as her parents saw that two men had adopted their grandchild they quickly took her from the building. “I'm slightly offended by that reaction.” They spoke with the social worker and she told them that Anna had already signed the papers. All they had to do was sign them too.
That day they woke up with just each other in a large two bedroom Manhattan apartment. That night they had managed to completely decorate the baby's room and they just stood staring at her while she slept. “Alright, Papa, time for us to go to bed.”
“I did not agree on that.” Kurt told him.
“Well then come on daddy let's go to bed.” Blaine said in a seductive tone.
“That sounds dirty.” Kurt laughed quietly. He looked back at his new daughter. “We're gonna be able to do this right?”
“Yeah, we'll be okay.”
Blaine held onto Kurt's waist as they two of them stood over Anna's crib. They had their little family and were gonna be okay.
