Monday morning, Blaine felt good.
He felt as if a weight was lifted off of his chest; someone he has known for his whole life, tied by blood, knew his secret and loved him anyways. Soon, it may not even be a secret anymore. His brother was very open-minded and supportive about the situation, and didn’t mind if he was straight or gay. His brother loved him all the same, and he was incredibly grateful for that. He knew that, no matter what his parents thought, Cooper would have his back.
Blaine tapped his thumbs on the handles of his bike along to the music he was listening to. He would usually listen to punk or screamo music like Silverstein or Rise Against, but he had added a few pop songs. One time while he was sitting with Kurt in Kurt’s room, they were listening to his type of music. Blaine didn’t exactly like it, but Kurt had added a few songs to Blaine’s Ipod, saying that he should get used to them since Kurt played them a lot. Kurt also liked Broadway musical songs and show tunes, but Blaine won’t go for that shit – no matter how much he liked Kurt. At the moment, he was listening to Hedley’s new song “Inside Out”, smiling to himself. He found that, yes, happy music can really make you feel happier. Right now, all he wanted to think about was how happy he was that his brother supported him and how he had an amazing boyfriend.
Speaking of his amazing boyfriend, he and Kurt were having coffee that morning as a celebration of Kurt not being grounded anymore. Of course, Kurt wasn’t allowed to have his door closed while Blaine was over, which kind of sucked. Although Kurt probably wouldn’t agree with doing anything while his parents were home anyways, he felt like their love life was being intruded on. Maybe once he met Kurt’s parents they’d loosen up a bit.
He was still nervous about meeting them. He was guessing that they wouldn’t be too judgmental, but Kurt says his father is very protective of him. He’s not sure how much Kurt’s dad, Burt, would appreciate his piercings. He was bored yesterday – Kurt was grounded and his friends Wes, David, Nick, and Jeff decided to go bowling (who over the age of four goes bowling?!) – so he thought that he’d get a second lip piercing so he could have snakebites. They turned out really well, and even he had to admit they looked hot. He hoped Kurt felt the same way.
He turned into the Lima Bean parking lot to see it mostly empty with the exception of a few cars, not including Kurt’s, so he had a smoke. Yes, yes, he knew that Kurt wanted him to break that habit, but the whole deal with meeting his parents and telling Cooper stressed him out, so he needed to ease the stress. Plus, it was a Monday morning; they put him in a bad mood.
His mood lightened as he saw Kurt’s vehicle pull into the parking lot. Shit, he threw his mostly finished smoke on the ground quickly, hoping that Kurt didn’t notice. He didn’t seem to as he parked and climbed out of the car. If Blaine still had the cigarette in his mouth it would have fallen to the pavement; Kurt looked absolutely amazing. He was wearing a grey and white striped shirt and a navy blue scarf, along with some black knee high boots and red skin-tight pants.
He began to walk over to Blaine, smiling and looking at Blaine’s face, trying to figure out what was different about him, but all Blaine could think about was…
Pants.
“Hey Blaine!” Kurt said, giving him a confused look, but still smiling. “What’s up?”
Blaine didn’t even notice Kurt was speaking. “Blaine.” He reached Blaine and put his finger underneath his chin, raising Blaine’s range of vision upwards. “My face is up here.”
“Sorry, it’s just… those pants.”
“Hello to you too,” Kurt replied, giggling and blushing. How can someone be so incredibly attractive yet blush at any compliment they get?
After going inside (Blaine following behind to see Kurt’s ass, he couldn’t help staring), they bought their coffees and sat down at their original table. He noticed Kurt looked a little bit upset about something.
“Kurt,” he spoke. Kurt made a noise and looked up from where he was dosing off. “My face is up here.” He said, attempting to sound like a girl from the Jersey Shore.
Kurt laughed, “I totally don’t sound like that!” His smile faded abruptly.
“What’s wrong?” Blaine asked as Kurt raised an eyebrow. “Whenever you’re upset or thinking about something you bite the inside of your cheek.”
Kurt didn’t know that Blaine realized that about him. He guessed that Blaine began to notice the little things that Kurt does. He’s noticed a few about Blaine; the way he plays with this curl at the back of his neck when he’s trying to figure something out, or his signature smirk. Right now, all he can see is Blaine’s caring gaze.
“I guess…” he began, “I’m just worried about Karofsky.”
Oh. Blaine almost forgot about the situation that went on Friday. He felt bad for forgetting. He knew that Kurt was upset about it, and he hasn’t seen Karofsky since Blaine knocked him down. “I’m sorry, Kurt. I’m sure he won’t bug you. If he does though, let me know.”
“Okay,” Kurt said, his frown disappearing a bit.
“Seriously, I’ll go all Snooki on his ass.”
Kurt chuckled. “Oh, on a different topic, guess what happened last night!”
“You found the dark side and have come to join me? You’ve decided to get your eyebrow pierced? I think that’d look really hot on you.”
“Nope. Even worse,” Kurt grinned at Blaine’s look of false hurt, “My dad gave me the sex talk.”
“Ooh, damn,” Blaine cringed. His parents had that talk with him once. Of course, it was about not getting girls pregnant and stuff like that. At least they don’t have to worry about him becoming a teenage father now. “That sucks.”
“Yeah, it was filled with sheer awkwardness and lots of pamphlets.”
Blaine laughed out loud. He could imagine the look of horror on Kurt’s face as he read them.
“Whatever, I’m sure yours was as awkward as mine!”
“Uhm…”
Just then, he heard two people walk up behind him. By the smooth taunting Latino voice he knew it was Santana. He turned around to see her and a blonde girl – he couldn’t remember her name – standing behind him, smiling. Santana spoke first, “Well, if it isn’t Porcelain and his lovely ass-sistant.”
“Hi Santana, hey Britany,” Kurt muttered as Blaine gave them a friendly wave.
“Nice snakebites, Blaine,” Santana continued as Kurt looked over, just now noticing his new addition to the Anderson piercing family. “Are those supposed to be a metaphor for something?”
“I thought snakes only ate mice and strawberries,” Britany attempted to correct. Santana gave her a comforting pat on the arm before grabbing two seats, and Britney and she sat down.
“Either way, they look hot. That offer still stands, you know.” She winked at him.
“What offer?” Kurt wondered, and Blaine squeezed his knee and just smiled an awkward, sort of scared, smile.
“Speaking of offers,” Santana said, “you still need to pick the outfits for Sectionals, Kurt.”
Oh shit, Blaine though. He had completely forgotten about Sectionals! It was next Friday, and the Warblers were incredibly pro-active so the songs were already done, but he was still kind of freaking out. He was competing against Kurt and his glee club, so this would be the first time he’d see Kurt perform.
“Will do, Satan,” Kurt replied. “I mean, Santana.”
“Yeah, yeah. Just do it soon; Rachel with her loud Shnozz kept talking on and on about some ugly plaid skirts that she thought we could recreate from the Children’s Place stores. I was about to go all Lima Heights on her ass.”
Blaine grinned; Kurt’s friends were definitely interesting. He had met all of them for only a slight moment, but in that time he knew that the New Directions were considered to be one big family. He could see that even thought they knew Kurt was gay, they still supported him. His friends did the same, but he wondered how far they would go with that support once shit hit the fan and he told his parents.
He guessed he should be heading over to see them now, anyways; they had yet to decide whether they wanted a red tie with blue piping, or a blue tie with red piping. Truthfully, Blaine didn’t give a rat’s ass about it, but he’s been so reluctant to help out considering he couldn’t harm his reputation that much, that he hasn’t been to the practices as much as he should have; he sometimes went out and got high with Mark and Rob. He knew that after his he told his parents, he’d need to get drunk, and they were the best people to party with, so he had to keep them as friends.
Kurt was talking about the latest issue of Vogue and how they could interpret the fall fashion into the dresses and suits (how Kurt could make a suit fashionable, he didn’t know; they all looked the same to him). Blaine decided that he needed to get to school. “Babe, I’ll talk to you later, I don’t want to be late.”
Kurt gave him a smirk and a raised eyebrow, “Since when do you care about punctuality.”
“Ha ha,” Blaine chirped, giving a quick peck on the cheek and standing up.
“I’m still picking you up after school, yes?” Kurt asked, looking over his shoulder at Blaine. Damn, why is he always so hot in his ripped jeans and tight band t-shirts?
“Yeah, I’ll see you then,” Blaine answered, winking. “See ya later Santana, Britney.”
“Goodbye, Brody Jenner,” Santana said seductively.
“Your dad’s an Olympic swimmer?” Britany asked. “That’s so cool! Do you have fins?”
Blaine looked at her quizzically. She has quite the imagination. “Uhm, no. Sorry.”
“That’s okay. I was supposed to meet Nemo, so I’d thought you would be able to summon him to my fishbowl. I’ve always wanted a fish. Lord Tubbington only wanted Nemo, though.”
“You’ll find him some day, Brit Brit,” Santana said, petting Britany’s hair as she leaned her head on Santana’s shoulder.
Kurt laughed at Blaine’s confused expression. “I’ll see you later, Blaine.”
“Yeah, bye Kurt!”
He drove quickly to Dalton, hoping to make it to the meeting they had planned for this morning before school. At least if he made it it would show them that he still cares. Once he got to Dalton, he walked through the front doors to hear the Warbler’s “do-op”ing in the commons. He quickly pushed the doors open, starting to sing the first lyrics of his song.
The boys looked a little annoyed, but quickly got over it as they stepped back and forth, continuing on with their simple dance routines as the song went on. When the song ended, they all erupted in cheers and smiles, patting each other on the back or high fiving. Blaine was congratulated by many Warbler’s, and turned around once he heard someone’s voice.
“They always told me you have a sexy voice,” the boy said behind him.
He spun around abruptly, his expression going unreadable. “Hi, Sebastian.”
“That performance was really good,” Sebastian continued on. “I wonder what other talents you have with those full, luscious lips of yours.”
Blaine sighed. “What are you doing here?”
“You didn’t know?” Wes came up behind him. “Sebastian decided to join the Warblers!”
Blaine stared, wide-eyed at Sebastian and he tilted his head innocently and gave off a bright smile. “Very happy to join the team.”
Blaine didn’t really like this guy; he was almost cockier than Blaine. He didn’t want to know how many times Sebastian would be hitting on him.
