Chapter 2

Blaine casually strolled down the long stretch of pavement on his regular routine of grabbing a coffee after school. He didn't even actually like coffee that much,
it was mostly the smell that put him off but still everyday he went in and purchased his medium drip.
It took him a good few visits to find an order he could consume without having to cover it in chocolate and fill with marshmallows.

Blaine strode up to the small bistro and pushed firmly on the wood of the door.
The rank smell of coffee beans hit him almost instantly making his nose scrunch up in disgust. Feet creaking on the sticky wooden floor he approached the always annoyingly chipper barista.
"Hey Cutie! The usual is it?"
Blaine let out an aggravated sigh and gave a stiff nod sending the red head to work.
That woman just can take a hint, every day without fail she flirted incessantly.
Throwing him winks across the room and swaying her hips more forcefully whilst walking past him.
She made him want to splash coffee in her face, then rip open the little packets of sugar and sprinkle them on top of her head. Her hair needed a good wash and he might just have to take emergency action with the coffee right now.
Of course Blaine wouldn't do that. It would be very rude and ungentlemanly of him. On the other hand the sugar was very close...
A shrill voice broke his train of thought as it shouted above the wurr of the coffee machine.
"You sit down sweetie; I'll bring it right over!"
Nodding politely he turned on his heel and headed to the back of the store towards the only secluded booth which was clean and had un-ripped seats out of the 4 others.
Blaine stopped dead in his tracks to see a kid about his age with dark chestnut hair and smooth pale skin sat in HIS booth. He was hunched over peering past his glasses into what seemed to be a battered old copy of Romeo and Juliet.
The other boy looked up quickly sensing someone staring only to find himself staring back intently.
Blaine had to stop himself from gasping as he caught full sight of the stranger's eyes.
They were filled with different swirls of green and blue, with occasional hints of silver which made them sparkle.
"Ahem"
Behind them the girl from the counter had been watching.
"Sorry to interrupt, but where are you sitting?" Blaine turned to face her "this mug is kinda starting to burn me" she added with an awkward laugh.
Blaine turned back to the dark haired boy
"Erm, do you mind if I...?"
"Sure I guess..." he answered with a bewildered expression.
The barista set down the mug immediately and raced of back to the counter, probably to find a sink.
Sliding into the opposite side of the booth Blaine thought this might be a good time to introduce himself.
"Blaine"
he said extending his arm across the table.
"Kurt"
the other boy said taking Blaine's hand in his.
The touch sent chills down his spine and made both boys heart flutter.
Whoever this guy was Blaine knew he wasn't leaving him anytime soon.
