Author's Notes: Happy Reading :)!

A stream of light ripped through the dark curtain in Kurt's bedroom, even though he knew that it was nearly 7:30 the thought of facing another day in his own personal hell pinned him to the warm sheets of his bed.
He almost convinced himself he was going absolutely nowhere until he remembered the reason for going to work.

Ever since his mother fell ill and died a few months after the thought of medical bills and funeral expenses never crossed Kurt or his father's mind because they never gave up on her pulling through up until her last breath.
She would never say if she felt sick or even when she looked her worst her face would have a smile painted on no matter what happened.
Kurt could still remember the day of his mother's funeral, the dark outfits, the heartbroken sobs and even the rain which fell that day. If funerals were supposed to celebrate the life that was lost by dedicating a day to someone, that day was nothing like Kurt's mother .
At Elizabeth Hummel's funeral there should have been sunshine, brightly coloured hats and dresses even a balloon or two, she would've wanted people to remember her for her fun loving nature and breathtaking smile not for her illness and what a shame it was she died.

After mentally readying himself to start moving Kurt clambered out of bed and staggered towards the bathroom along the hall. Thankfully even with all the money trouble Burt had managed to keep him and his son living in there first family home.
There were so many memories of elizabeth in this house he didnt have the heart to sell it even if they would've been better off doing so.
The house wasnt huge but it wasnt small either it had an all white living room with picures of family and friends scattered around the walls, a small kitchen with rustic wooden cupboards and dark laminate flooring, a large open plan bathroom and 3 bedrooms, One for Kurt, One for his parents and aguest room for when relatives wasnt much but it was home and to him and burt t was all they needed.

When he actually made it to the bathroom after a groggy walk down the hall he creaked open the door to be hit with a further horror inside. Taking a glance in the mirror he noticed the large misshapen mass of hair sticking in all manner of directions on his head,he then realised he had about 20 minutes to sort out the catastrophe that was his hair and get dressed into his god awful work uniform which he had debated burning.
"Oh god! "Kurt groaned miserably "I can just tell today is not going to go well."
Unknown to Kurt he had no idea how wrong he was.
