3 years later

“Wes, do we have to go to another one? My feet hurt, I have a headache and I want to go

home.” Blaine tried to do his best whiny voice he could because he knew it annoyed the hell out of

Wes.

“Blaiiiiiiiiiiine…..no just one more today, you know that it great publicity to be at these shows, its

fashion week for god’s sake! You of all people should enjoy this, don’t you like worship vogue or

something” Wes said as he rolled his eyes at his friend.

“Yeah but I want an ice cream”

“Oh my god, Blaine! What are you, five?” annoyed with Blaine’s antics.

“No, you are”

“Blaine”

“Yes, Wesley?”

“Just, no”

“Ok, so where are we heading next?” Wes just sighed and looked in Blaine’s appointment book.

“Here, were headed to the tent that says KAB designs, huh, the interesting name”

“Haven’t heard of that brand before, what is it?” Blaine said as he tapped out some messages on his

phone.

“It says here it a line from an up-and-coming designer from France…it’s probably more of those weird

clothes with a thousand zippers and buttons.” Wes notices that Blaine was still busy with his phone and

wasn’t putting attention to him.

“Blaine!”

Blaine looked up from his phone “what?”

“Are you even listening to me?”

“No, not really”

Wes huffed in annoyance and headed to the tent that had a KAB banner on the entrance. The small red

carpet filled with photographers already visible.

Blaine sighed heavily and followed his friend. He didn’t want to be there. The clothes were

amazing and some of the parties were fun, but he rather be in the studio writing songs.

But Wes would make him go to every possible event he could because it got his name and picture in

every publication possible.

Blaine’s career had taken off about a year before. After playing a lot of small venues and with the help

of James' connections, he was finally signed to a major record label. He had released his first album and

hired Wes to be his manager.

He was happy the label didn’t try to change him to some generic pop star; he wanted to write his own

songs and sing with what he had in his heart.

So he always had something to write about.

But the one thing he was good at writing about was heartbreak.

Those songs were his biggest hits.

There was a piece of his heart missing, and he had never been able to fill the gap one blue eye beauty

left behind. And that always made for his best material.

Blaine had not seen or heard anything about Kurt in three years; he had just disappeared from

everyone’s lives and had cut all contact from his life in New York. The only ones that had talked to Kurt

were his family. He had even stopped talking to Wes and Rachel who were his two closest friends.

Nobody knew if he was still in Europe.

When Kurt told him he was leaving, he had meant it.

----------------------------------------------

“Blaine what are you wearing”

“Blaine, when is your next release coming out?”

Blaine and Wes were now on the small red carpet outside the KAB tent where multiple photographers

were taking his picture and asking him questions.

“Blaine, are you enjoying the shows?”

The questions were almost always the same and he answered them gracefully, but when they started to

pry in his personal life it pissed him off.

“Blaine, where is your husband?”

“Blaine, is it true that you two are not living together?”

“Is it true you're filing for divorce?”

Blaine just ignored those questions and smiled for the cameras as Wes guided him out of the red carpet

and headed into the tent.

Most of the people were already in their seats when they arrived and Blaine had gotten himself in a foul

mood which always happened every time they started asking about his marriage to James.

Ever since he was in the media’s eye, they had speculated that Blaine was having problems with James.

They said it was caused by long hours in the studio and James' hectic schedule with his very famous

clients. The tabloids had even started saying that they weren’t even living together and that Blaine had

bought his own penthouse in the city.

As always some of them were rumors, and others they nailed right in the head.

It was true that with both their schedules, he and James barely had time to spend together which was

causing strain in their relationship, but they both always managed and dealt with it while Blaine’s career

was taking off.

“Man, are you alright? Wes asked him as they walked towards their seats

“Yeah, just a headache,” he said simply.

Wes looked at him like he didn’t believe him, but he let it go.

Blaine took his seat while Wes sat in the row behind him.

Blaine was sitting almost on the end of the runway, so he had a good view of it, the tent was spacious

like the others, but the runway was a simple white, with a sign that only said KAB, he always appreciated

when designers went simple with the shows, it was about the clothes anyways.

When everyone was in their seats, the house lights when down and some techno song started playing.

The show had begun.

The first model out was male. He was very good-looking; he was tall with longish blonde hair and green

eyes. He was wearing a very simple well-fitting suit as he walked down the runway. The one thing Blaine

always liked about going to fashion shows, was all the hot male models.

Blaine didn’t feel bad about looking, that’s what he was doing, just looking and there was no harm

in appreciating a very good-looking man. He had to keep his charm and flirting to a minimum because if

someone saw him paying a guy attention it would get to James.

Blaine hated when they fought.

Over the last year, their fights were getting out of hand to the point that James would get so angry he

started throwing stuff around the apartment almost every fight. The first time he did it, Blaine started

drinking, which only made things worse.

In the last fight they had, James had left their home and stayed at some hotel for almost a week, until he

had gone over and begged him to come back. They would have makeup sex which was the only time

they did have sex, and not talk about it. They would just move on. James would promise to stop being an

asshole and Blaine promised to stop drinking.

It would only last a while.

Blaine was reaching his breaking point, he would spend most of the time either writing in his office or being

at the studio recording or attending events with Wes. He tried to keep busy so he didn’t have to think

about James and their problems.

Blaine would talk to Wes about it sometimes, even Rachel when she wasn’t working on a show. But

there wasn’t anyone he could talk to about it, someone who can be honest with him and maybe

knock some sense into him.

But he had lost that someone when Kurt had left.

At that moment he realized how much he needed Kurt.

Being there at fashion week always reminded him of Kurt, all the fabulous clothes and people, he could

almost hear the commentary he would have about the clothes.

The rest of the KAB show was almost done, and the clothes were amazing, the designer had

impeccable taste.

The last few of the models walked backstage and the show was over. Then the models came back out to

do a final walk around the runway.

Blaine clapped as the parade of models walk past him. All of them smiling as they celebrated how well

the show was being received.

When the models were gone two people walked onto the runway, one was a tall, beautiful woman with

auburn hair. The other was a slim man wearing insanely tight skinny jeans and a white button-up with a

head of perfectly styled chestnut hair, pale porcelain skin, and bright blue eyes.

Blaine’s heart stopped.

It was Kurt.

His Kurt.

Blaine thought he was going to die from the shock. There in front of him was his best friend, who he

hadn’t seen or spoken to in three years.

Blaine heard a gasp and an ‘oh my fucking god’ from Wes behind him. He was very shocked

also.

The woman and Kurt walked right by him and then started walking back, he wasn’t sure if Kurt had seen

him. And if he did, he pretended not to.

Kurt and the woman were gone and everyone started either leaving or chatting amongst

themselves, but Blaine sat in his seat in shock, still not believing that he had just seen Kurt moments

ago. It was too good to be true.

Kurt was back in New York.
